This is something only Nickey can come up with. You're going to like it or hate it. I was in the side of liking it. The crawfish itself was just as good as some of the more traditional restaurants around town. The ice cream was wild. You can taste the old bay and corn. It's no crawfish boil but it's a good cold version of it.
The ice cream was great. Very fresh because they cook the waffle and churros on the spot once you order. The service was very friendly, and helpful with answering any questions had. The ambiance was upbeat and pleasant. The music selection was good and smooth.
Decided to try this place after seeing all the great reviews, and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Elmo Crunch ice cream with a Dulce de Leche churro, and it was so delicious. The ice cream was rich and sweet. The churro was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and perfectly warm all around. They said they make the churros fresh with each order, and I could definitely tell. Honestly, I expected the ice cream to be the star of the show (it is in the name, after all), but the churro was the real star! Don't get me wrong, though, both were great. I look forward to coming back here next time I'm in Chinatown.

The Ube Mango is well balanced and flavorful and is better than that place that's "below the ground". The presentation of the desserts are Instagram worthy. It's fun place to get desserts with family or friends after a meal in the area or as a destination. Parking is very easy with a large lot.

The notion of flipping life's pressures for something sweet and satisfying is for many of us, a full circle moment, or in this case, a Red Circle one. The last few years have been good to them, as they has become one of the most well reviewed ice cream spots in Houston Chinatown. Their soft serve is some of the best in the neighborhood. Smooth, sweet, and the perfect escape from a hot weather day. It also doesn't hurt that their place is heavy with the AC and a good amount of seating to boot. Their busiest days are weekends and summer afternoons, but I have never had a problem bringing a group here to enjoy a frozen treat. Churros and ice cream will always be a winning combo, especially in our neck of the woods. Try all their pufflicious combos, but especially the Chino Churro. The glazed and frosty churros are also a thing, and a fun one at that for folks who aren't about the ice cream. The prices are around $7-8 for a ice cream-churro combo, which seems to be normal nowadays. Service is usually easy going and the vibe is super casual. They also have merch on sale (t-shirts are fire!) and the parking situation is fairly easy with a dedicated parking lot.
They have like 4 employees and all seem useless , the wait is ridiculous and it takes two of their employees to get scoops of ice cream because of one worker not being able to scoop correctly, pathetic and embarrassing. And the cashier stays walking back and forth to the back just to come back to the cashier 30 seconds later for absolutely no reason while the cashier ends is also leaving a line of customers waiting , and no employee upfront. Unprofessional and pathetic. Wont be back. The manager states there is sick employees yet the management is terrible , and the employees are unsanitary and disgusting having their gloves on and touching their hair and nose and pulling their pants up with the same gloves they touch the food items , as well as serving cuatomers with bad Attitude!
We showed up at 9pm and proceeded to wait 15 minutes for them to take our order. All we saw was the employees walking in and out of the back. The young man that took our order was very polite however the woman that was working with him had the worst attitude. Behind us there was a family of maybe 6 people. When she saw the line she rolled her eyes and let out the biggest sigh. I asked if they were closed or if they were gonna be able to take our order. The woman said they're about to close and that the inside is closed already and they're only taking carry out orders. We ordered the churro ice cream 3/5 and the chocolate and strawberry matcha which were 1/5 . The ice cream tasted like it had freezer burn. The woman kept slamming the scooper visibly upset that she had to work I guess. We ate our ice cream outside. Where we witnessed 5 cars pull up to the establishment to try to order. At this point it was 9:30pm. They close at 10pm. The woman came out and told them they're closed but the open sign was still on and the people asked why it said they close at 10pm online and she just said they close early. After all those customers left we saw 2 more cars pull in and they were able to go inside but weren't able to order because the employee told them there were closed. It's sad to see a good establishment be tarnished by their rude employees. Never experienced this here before. Definitely will not be returning. The nasty attitude was truly unacceptable.
This is my second visit. Your order is made while you wait. Has ample seating to enjoy. Perfect serving and a lot of variety to choose from.
We love going to Red Circle! The churros and ice cream are delicious! I will say there is a wait but it's so worth it! We enjoyed our time there :)

Visited Red Circle a few times, but I had to come back to try the new funnel cake. When I got there my intention was to get a gourmet funnel cake, but I saw the Pistachio Cream drink (I believe that's what it was called) and knew I had to try it. I'm so glad I did! The pistachio drink was so delicious, creamy, and flavorful just full of pistachio. I especially loved the chopped up pistachio pieces on top, but a few caramel pieces or drizzle would've been a nice addition. The brown sugar milk tea was decent, but the funnel cake was by far one of the best I've had in a while. The funnel cake had crispy and crunchy sides, and was cooked to perfection that the inside stayed soft and moist. They were generous with the powdered sugar as well. I believe if you're eating a funnel cake and you don't get at least a little messy with the powdered sugar, then there wasn't enough powdered sugar. I went with the traditional funnel cake because I was already getting the drink and didn't see the need to add ice cream as well, but I'll most definitely give the others a try. Needed dessert after dinner, and since this place was in the area, we decided to give it a try! It wasn't busy on a Monday night, and you ordered at the counter. They had a ton of ice cream flavors, and I couldn't resist trying the crawfish flavor because it was so unique. It definitely tasted like you had a seafood boil...not my first pick, haha. They also had a wide variety of specialty churro flavors. We settled on the churro stix, which were made to order and took about five minutes. They came out hot and crispy, with a perfect coat of cinnamon sugar. We got condensed milk for dipping, which paired really well! The shop was clean, which I appreciated, and the cashier was very nice. Overall, a fun spot for dessert with unique options and tasty churros! read more
I was craving some bubble waffles so I came here. Red circle did not disappoint! They make the waffle fresh so there was a few minute wait, but it was worth it. The waffle and the ice cream had a wonderful flavor and texture together. The waffle was sturdy enough to absorb the melting ice cream without becoming soggy. I'd skip the pocky next time- I think they use a different type of pocky and it doesn't quite have the same chocolate flavor I was expecting. I'll be back to try the churros! read more

Delicious and unique ice cream! We got the churro puff which comes with your choice of ice cream, your choice of churro, and your choice of waffle. We got spotted panda ice cream (cookies and cream type of flavor), Nutella drizzle churro, and the original waffle. There's so many options to choose from! The dessert itself was really tasty. The waffles was the right amount of crispy and flavorful. The Churro came out warm and fresh. The ice cream was not overly sweet and had the right amount of creaminess. It was a little pricey. $10 for the dessert option we chose. read more
Somehow someway, they were on my IG recommendations. While in the area grabbing some noodles, the sweet tooth kicked in and I noticed I was next to this place. So of course I had to mosey on over to get my ice cream fix. Ice cream flavors are gonna make you adventurous when their fitting names. The Elmo crunch is the winner here which is what I went with. Then came the question of waffle or macaroon, decision has to be made.... So decided on the macaroon to hold the ice cream and began to dig in. You'll never taste anything as unique as this dessert with the creaminess and flavor not even Elmo himself could eat fast enough. Such a killer dessert concoction! Next is the waffle. I went on my birthday Jan 30 of this year and let me tell you, this place is AMAZING. This was the best soft serve ice cream and churros that I've ever had. The best part of it all? The churros are made fresh. I would catch a flight today just to return to this place and taste this again. The people inside are friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is pretty chill. It's about time I came here! I've seen lots of friends come to Red Circle but hadn't gotten the opportunity until just recently. They have a ton of really great options with many flavors you can mix and match. I personally thought that the ice cream wasn't too sweet, which of course, is a pretty good compliment as an Asian (haha!). We were served with churros and the puffs super warm, very fresh, it didn't melt the ice cream right away, the flavor combo I chose balanced one another out very well (in the photo). The churro was super crunchy and warm, while the puff was very soft and nice, the flavored sugar and drizzle were delicious. Ambience was fantastic! Definitely live by their quote, "stressed spelled backwards is dessert." Very cute! It looked pretty busy when we arrived, but their service was really great and also they're very quick! It was my boyfriend's first time there as well, he wish that the pocky wasn't just two sticks and thought the puff waffle would be filled with something on the inside, but nonetheless, he really liked it! read more

Been here a couple of times. Amazing icecream flavors. Our fav was the Ube flavor. Welcoming service and you get to taste any flavors you want to decide between like other icecream shops. Wasn't crowded like some other Bellaire spots either of the times we visited. read more

My husband was craving for churros, so we decided to try Red Circle based on high number of good reviews on Yelp. However, we noticed how terrible the establishment reeked of toilet/restroom the moment we walked in --I was close to turning around and walking back out, but there were many customers already dining at the establishment. It seemed like they were used to the smell, so I decided to stay and we too, were acclimated to the odor pretty quickly. Aside from the smell, the rest of our experience at the establishment was good. They offered to sample their ice cream flavors, so we were able to explore their unique, homemade flavors, including crawfish! But ultimately, we decided to stay on the safe side of things and ordered: o. Churro daddy with regular churros and cookies & cream ice cream with cookie butter on top o. Churro puff with regular churros, egg waffle and Nutella, and ube ice cream The final products were certainly Instagram-worthy, but we're too old for that. But even their aesthetics aside, the food was good overall, as I enjoyed the egg waffle and my husband really liked his churros. I highly recommend this place if you're adventurous, as they also have unique combinations of churros and egg waffle, like hot Cheeto churros! read more

Really solid spot for unique hong Kong egg waffle, churro, and ice cream dessert! The concept of this dessert shop seems to be a mix of Hispanic and Asian flavors, which is great! I came here specifically for the ube flavored ice cream and it did not disappoint. It is my favorite ube ice cream in town, and I haven't found anything that compares yet! Most people come here for the ice cream/churro combo as they make all of their churros in house and fresh. They are hot when they are served. There are many different flavors and toppings you can choose for your churro and egg waffle. They also have other toppings for ice cream as well. Really solid place! read more
The churro is amazing! We tried the mango and peach ice cream and both were very good. The portions are pretty generous too. It is with sharing one order with someone unless you are not the sharing type. . If it wasn't so far away, I would be a regular. Only down side is that the customer service is a little lacking. I've heard about this ice creamery so I had to give it a try. I brought my family along to partake in the deliciousness that I sought after. Lol! Walking in, it smelled like baked cookies. I was in my happy place. I wanted to try the egg waffle so I got the Puffelicious with vanilla ice cream. My mother ordered the same thing I ordered and my sister ordered the Churro Daddy. We all enjoyed the light and airy egg waffle. It was fluffy and not heavy, which is what we loved about it. So yummy!! The ice cream paired with a warm waffle hit the spot. I also loved the churro. Well, who doesn't love churros?! They had the right amount of sugar and my sister chose the perfect ice cream. It's safe to say that I will visit Red Circle again and again. very disappointing I asked for my ice cream to be on the side because I was bringing the ice cream to my mother at a "nursing home ". They had plastic cups sitting on the counter... I did not want the churro/ waffle to melt the ice cream. I was told they could "not" do that? The Marissa the girl tried to charge me more??? Seriously?? I asked for the manager Nickey was not there but she called her and was told "NO". I was not asking for anything extra??? This really sucks and what a terrible experience... So my wife had to scoop it out herself and put in a plastic cup , so my 87 yr old mother won't have soggy ice cream when brought to her??? How is that ok?? Nothing about that experience is ok.... Manager wanted me to call her after I posted my experience on FB.. Marissa said they are franchise owned?? what does that have anything to do with customer service?? Sorry little late she an opportunity to make it right.. Again she was not asking for anything extra??? Sorry this is not customer service at all... How do you make that right??? read more
