First we were a party of nine. Our server was Brent. Most of us ordered steak tips. Also ordered the Gouda stuffed potatoes. We called ahead for a Saturday 7:15 sitting. We showed a little early but did not wait long for our table, which was in a private room, their choice! I must tell you ALL of the service, food, room was A++++++!!! Where to begin with this incredible place. All Pros: Sam our server was probably the best server we have encountered and we dine out often. He was so attentive and helpful. We started with an app of potato skins that included steak tips. They were smothered with Vermont cheese and just delicious. This alone would have been enough for dinner. We also had a glass of lovely red wine with this. One of the entrees we tried was the steak tips and ribs, gouda mashed potato's and fresh green beans with parmesan. When I tell you the meat was so different it's an understatement. The meat was tender, full of flavor and each bite got better and better. We also tried the steak tips and shrimp screwer with same sides. I can honestly say we have never had such a scrumptious meal. They also served lovely bread with our meal. Mashed potatoes with gouda cheese is just devine! We were seated on the patio and got lucky with getting a table as there was a long wait. When we saw all the people waiting we understood why. This was such a wonderful meal and we still talk about how delicious the food was. The view from the patio was enjoyable and relaxing. I can't wait to return. read more

LOVE this place. We always stop in for lunch or dinner when we're in town. We've been coming for years and have tried just about everything on the menu. The combo is amazing, Honey hot tenders, and can't go wrong with the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Really nice and accommodating staff. A small but nice bar if you want to watch a game or just hang. The food here is amazing and the service matches the food. Such an inviting restaurant for families with children. Kids are treated to a special menu. The entire menu is one that you can't select anything you wouldn't love. We began with spinach dip and delicious flat bread (from brick oven). Entrees ordered for our table included, pot roast (with Gouda Mash Potatoes , cottage pie, baked lemon haddock and chicken tenders. This was our favorite restaurant during our stay up here. The restaurant itself is large but offers a warm ambience with a wood burning fire in one of their rooms and plenty of lighting. I grew up in upstate NY and went to school out near Buffalo - the wood fire wings offered here are top 5 I've ever had. The char from the wood fire is just enough, but the homemade sauces pack the perfect amount of flavor. Plus, the wings themselves are extremely big and juicy - definitely a must order app. The French onion soup was great too and ideal after a long hike on a cold afternoon. Both the burger and steak tips were delicious as well. Service was great all around, from the hostess to our waitress. Looking forward to coming back when we ski later this season. read more

This place is a fantastic option! We picked it because of its many fantastic reviews but also due to the fact they accept reservations online. My elderly father was not feeling well enough to make the reservation however so we did takeout instead. They were very understanding of the change. We ordered online for take out and it only took 15 mins for four entrees to be made! So fast! There was plenty of parking. The food was ready on time and was still hot. Their takeout area had more treats to browse so we picked up some cake bites for dessert. We also couldn't say no to their homemade ranch which ended up being maybe the best ranch we've had. All of our dishes were excellent. The cottage pie was plenty for two people to split and had a delicious tasting gravy. The combo was a nice option to get a little bit of everything. The sweet potato fries had a wonderful seasoning to them. We are very glad we picked this spot and would recommend it! read more

We had a nice meal at Red Fox tonight. My husband thought he had a Yelp reservation for 6 pm, but when we arrived, we realized it was for tomorrow night! But their waiting list is very efficient, and we were seated in about 20 minutes. This is a big place, but it was mobbed with guests; the parking lot was packed. There were lots of families with young children, so the noise level inside was energetic. Our server, Dawn, managed the volume extremely well. We both ordered clam chowder. They bring out bread & butter right away. I had the Summer Salad, which is a twist on the standard watermelon-feta salad because it also had tomatoes, plenty of greens, and a delicious dressing. My husband had the cottage pie (like a shepherds pie), which was tasty, but it was a huge serving. No room for dessert! read more

Amazing drinks, appetizers, food, desserts and Service! Beautiful dining and event venue. Lovely lounge area to meet up with friends, family or even the locals and chat over a beverage and appetizer. The Host staff is upbeat and work hard to seat guests. The pace of Service is great, we never feel rushed. We love the open brick oven and watching items being cooked in there when waiting to be seated. The Fox's Den dining area has a smaller cozy atmosphere with a wood burning fireplace in Winter - a dining experience we typically request to be seated in. There are a few smaller event/function/dining rooms located within the restaurant and one, beautiful, large dining / event space that is the main focal point of the restaurant. We have been customers for many years while vacationing in the area and the Red Fox is always one of our go-to's for a meal or two. read more

9 years later and we were up in the area and had to stop here again! The food was just as good as we remembered. The service was good but not great - we came during fairly off hours and the place is huge so we kind of expected this. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable but just didn't seem to have any other tables near us. My steak tips were cooked perfect and very tender. My husband said his ribs and tips combo was really good. The kids both had grilled chicken and really liked both their regular fries and sweet potato ones. I have stayed up in the N. Conway/Conway area three times related to business/pleasure (driving 140 miles each way to stay relatively locally, even though my destination might be Gorham) and each time I have gone out of my way to drive to the Red Fox Bar and Grill for dinner - usually arriving very early at about 4:30pm since I've been on the road and doing an activity. Have ordered the same thing every time - the filet mignon, a glass of wine, decaf coffee with dessert (have tried 3 different ones so far). I have really enjoyed the meals and all 3 different servers have been very good, accommodating and had suggestions when asked. Also, should you have any problems or issues, they are readily addressed and taken care of. So I have enjoyed my visits there. I have contemplated trying the two pieces of tenderloin with lobster, but since I haven't had it before and I know the filet mignon, I've hesitated. read more

I love that they have a bar area for only 21 & over (sadly we were with our kids, can only look through the glass with envy, ). Us family of 4 were promptly seated at a booth. They had a paper children's menu for them to draw and color. We were greeted warmly by our server with a loaf of warm bread and whipped butter (so yummy). They had a nice list of mixed drinks ($10-13 - reasonably priced) and beer selection. I had the mango mai tai, it was strong and delicious and hubby had their draft beers (good local selection). Our food was so good!! The steamed mussels were big and flavorful, the homemade penne was probably the best I've ever had, homemade pasta!!! We ate dinner here last night. The service was amazing - with the waitress having lots of suggestions and options both for my vegetarian daughter as well as my daughter who had allergies. We ordered the combo dish (steak tips and grilled shrimp), the grilled steak tips and mashed potatoes with a nice Pinot Noir red wine, the stir fry with jasmine rice, and a beyond cheese burger. Everything was cooked to perfection and very delicious. We all loved our dishes, and probably overate because it was all so good. Food is excellent. My favorite dish is the prime rib which is served on Saturday's. For sides, you have to go with the Gouda mashed and the carrot and turnip mashed!! Side salads are rather bland but are still OK. Lots of drinks to choose from, but was underwhelmed at the martinis and the mixed drinks on the menu. If they could step their drink game up a notch or two, this place would definitely be 5-star worthy. Service is always great. Waiters and waitresses pay great attention to detail. I would recommend this place to any and everyone. This place is allergy recommended. I have a severe shellfish allergy and the waitress and the kitchen were very accommodating. They do cook some shellfish in the wood oven which they warned me about, but had no trouble avoiding cross contamination. We will be back! read more

This was our third time on vacation visiting the Red Fox. Can't say enough about the restaurant and service .The food is delicious and service was expedient. Had the mussels on the grille which were extraordinary had a ice cold beer on a hot day everything was perfect. Going back tomorrow for my birthday dinner .The place is always full now I know why.
