My team and I really enjoyed running around Huntington Beach! It was a really beautiful day and you can't beat being right along the water. The puzzles we thought were on the easy side, but still challenging enough where we took over an hour to complete from start to finish. Most of our team are engineers so we loved the puzzles and caught on quick. The gals who run the activity mentioned that they have other versions that are much more challenging, so we may be interested in the future. Overall, I'd recommend Downtown Detectives! I have ended up making the trip from Seattle down to San Diego the last two years because I had such an amazing time! Although each adventure has been so different and specific to the person it is constructed for, they all have been amazingly fun, creative, and thoughtful. The events are flexible enough to allow for those extremely enthusiastic participants to really dive deep into the theme and story, while also providing the ability for those more "along for the ride" to thoroughly enjoy themselves and engage as they are comfortable. In my experience, everyone becomes inspired to let loose, embrace the challenges, get a little goofy, and have fun with the people around you. These adventures promote a sense of community and comradery between friends and strangers. Constructed Adventures provides shared experiences that provide a fun excuse to step a little outside your comfort zone, connect with people you've never met before, and act like a kid for a couple hours...or in the words of my eleven year old self, "duuuuuuude, so good!"
