Super unique and some of the special effects are fantastic! I've done a handful of escape rooms across LA and Orange County and this is definitely a memorable one. It is a wee bit pricey and I would say there are a few things that I think could be improved in my personal opinion! In general, I thought a few of the puzzles were not the most intuitive/logical. This room is definitely made for you to escape so you can get the full experience, so the game masters definitely assist when you get stuck. It feels like some of the puzzles were made for the players to get assistance rather than solve on their own. The priority is definitely to get you to end! Which some people may love and some may not. But to each their own! Also, the room is a bit tight (but it goes with the theme). It makes it difficult to work on the same puzzles at the same time and although there are definitely things to multitask on, I feel that the room was generally a bit linear as in one puzzle tends to be in play which leads you to the next puzzle. Once most puzzles are solved, it felt like only 2-3 people were working on a puzzle while the rest of us were kinda standing around. It was also a bit hot in there so some better AC would be totally welcome. Overall, what a fun and unique room! I'd say if you get a chance to try out Lab Rat, you totally should! If you are stuck, there is a "i am dumb" button. I think we had to press that about 4 times throughout the experience. Side note, I purchased their 3 volumes for Mother of Frankenstein. The game masters said that he just finished volume 2 and he's been playing it for over 10 hours. I will do another review for this when I start/finish. This was truly a fun escape room.

We were met by Gelly who introduced us to the room and they were incredible! Gelly made sure to stick to the script and it really felt like she was an actress. 10/10 for her performance, she deserved an Oscar lol. There was the 4 of us in this room and we were quite nervous that we might not be able to finish/escape the room, but we finished with 7 minutes to spare! There were times where we needed some extra help and we loved how Gelly gave us hints and not a whole answer because it left us to figuring out her hints! Overall, it was a fun time and it had us wanting to come back to do more! Will definitely bring friends here to try out the other escape rooms :)

I must say that out of 20 escape rooms ive done, this one had so many puzzles! One was really tough because we werent familiar with it. I dont want to give a lot away, but you will know when you get there! Another Puzzle got stuck, but luckily the game master Sasha, was with us in the room to provide assistance. Instead, there was no game master. He (Steve) didn't show up until 8:30 PM, and the group before us took 2 hours and didn't finish until 8:40 PM because, according to him, they let teams keep playing until they escape--even if they go well over their one-hour reservation. The game master then tried to blame our few-minute delay for the situation, which was ridiculous. Even if we had arrived exactly at 8:00, our room still wouldn't have been ready until around 9:00 PM--the time our game was supposed to end. We've completed 60+ escape rooms, and we've never experienced anything like this. What made the experience even worse was the terrible customer service. Instead of taking accountability for their scheduling failures, the staff acted like this was normal and didn't want to issue a refund, despite being unable to provide the experience we paid for. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for customers' time made this by far the worst escape room experience we've ever had.

Fun and complex rooms…read more There are a bunch of these around LA. Each of them has a different set of rooms. Only had time for one room this trip but definitely enjoyed it. The team here is very communicative. They call you before and give you instructions about parking and ask if you have any questions. Once you arrive there is a small parking lot. Did the da Vinci room. This is supposedly their hardest room and man was it tough. I believe the room is non-linear so you can do several things at once (although our team was so small we ended up working together for most everything). There was some technology. We had one issue with something not lining up quite right (it's very picky). The puzzels were hard but solvable, the atmosphere was really cool. If the alignement of the puzzels had not been so picky it would have been amazing. Still a really fun time. Will come back to try their other rooms.

I could consider coming back, but that is if they would "fix" the restroom. The day of our scheduled visit, I get a text message letting me know the restrooms are out of order. I've read similar reviews here about that and I assumed that after months of the restroom being out of service that it would be fixed by now. I guess not. If you want to use the restroom then you have to go down to the Starbucks or the bar and then come back. It's an inconvenience. If you come here just count on not using their restroom. They might as put that on their website. And that is the reason for the 3 stars. It's an established business with no restroom for paying customers.

Came here with three friends and had an absolute blast doing the Case '93 escape room! The…read moredifficulty level felt just right: challenging enough to require plenty of teamwork, but never frustrating or impossibly hard. We ended up using three hints near the end as the clock was winding down and managed to escape with just one minute to spare, which made it even more exciting. The theme was also perfectly executed. It had just the right amount of creepiness to keep us on edge and occasionally make us jump, but it wasn't too scary either. We loved how immersive it felt! Special shoutout to Shanon for being an amazing game master! He was friendly, engaging, and helped make the entire experience memorable. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back to try another room.

Next, we waited inside the escape room in silence for approximately 10 minutes for it to begin. Finally the experience was abruptly ended by the attendant saying we had run out of time leaving my child in tears. There was no warning that we were running low on time nor were there any prompts to move us along. I've been to at least a dozen escape rooms and never have I experienced being cut off and not allowed to finish, especially with young child present. I respectfully voiced my concerns to the attendant who told me a manager would speak to me. I waited another 10 minutes for a manager, who told me nothing could be done about any of my concerns and to contact corporate.

The production values were very high with fake explosions, triggered fog effects and many different elaborate rooms. Maria was also the best game master we've had and much more committed to her character than I've seen in other game masters. I also appreciate that she gave us extra time when she could sense my daughter was anxious to make sure that we finished. For two people I'd say this was a little harder than the other medium rooms we have done.
