I rarely get enthusiastic about chain restaurants - Red Lobster is an exception. I've had good experiences at a different location but this one was really fantastic. We came during the day on a Saturday so it was slow and quiet which was nice. Food was awesome. Everything I ordered - lobster, shrimp and salmon were excellent. My side of crispy red potatoes was amazing. And as usual, the cheddar biscuits and caesar salad were terrific. Boyfriend said his steak was really good and well-prepared. The service was A+. Our waitress was really nice and came around often. She paid attention to details, like asking if I wanted to keep the butter from my lobster plate and offering a different combo option so we could save a few bucks. read more

I'm from NYC, I came here with my family to have a quick lunch/dinner, we received seating right away, we were like awesome! Ok then we place our order... It took almost 40 mins before we got our food, but what was worst was the table of four next to us, they were there before us and we heard them complaining that they been waiting for 50 min, we got our food before them. And when they actually got served only 3 received their food and by the time the last person at that table got her food everyone at the table was done eating...she was very upset and she just asked for a box to wrap it up to go..the Red lobster manager gave them a free dessert for the long wait..lol insane Smh...But our waitress was really nice despite the long wait it took to get our food. You might be wondering why I am reviewing red lobster, but I have to say that this particular one is really good. We have been here twice (back to back years going to the indoor water parks nearby) and have to say this is ten times better than the food at the water parks. So just keep that in mind, it's probably deserves more like 4* but compared to the prices and quality of the food in the surrounding area, I am giving it 5*. Service is good and friendly, and the food is dependably good. Really liked the shrimp Rangoon! I got the ultimate feast with lobster, crab legs, fried shrimp and the shrimp Rangoon. i usually really like red lobster, but i guess it just this one in bartonsville, that is to say the least a -5. They try to force to to sit in one area. Usually there not enough staff. the food has been sub standard the past three time we have been in a little over a year. We arrived for a early dinner around 4pm. We had to wait even though there was barely anyone there. I chalked it up to them being short staff. Our drinks were fantastic. Food was very good. Had a bad experience...chicken was not cook Wright and my plate was super hot out of the microwave... no management came to talk to us poor waiter had to take the heat...last time I came here they gave me shrimp cocktails not clean ...I think they need new management...sad to say. read more

We have come here a few times already and service and food has been ok. But this time both were better. I think they have a new manager. The waitress realized my husband wasn't happy with his steak (it was was overcooked). They insisted on giving him a new one. My first time trying Red Lobster since it's new to the area haven't visited a red lobster in years. I ordered steak with grilled shrimp, broccoli and baked potato. Food came no baked potato had to ask where it was, they put butter on the potato for me which I don't like I rather add as much or as little as I like. The steak was very well done which is what I wanted so it was really good, the grilled shrimp were cold and the broccoli was mushy. If I want steak and shrimp there are other places to visit for better tasting food read more

It has been quite a number of years since I've patronage a Red Lobster and now I remember why I stayed away. First, let me start by saying the service was nice ( it's the only reason I'm giving it 1 star) and that was about all. I ordered a bowl of New England Clam Chowder and almost cracked a tooth, there was a rather large shell, sand or rock in it. Needless to say that got sent back quickly. I then received my lunch, which was a crab Alfredo on a bed of linguini and a side of their 'new' vegetables of zucchini and summer squash. The pasta was a completely gummy with an oil/butter slick.... Ewhh gross!! Did not look appetizing and the texture was nothing short of triggering your gag reflex!! Word to the wise... This is actually one of the best RLs that I go to, in terms of drinks, service, cleanliness and the food! Everything is always good and the service is always stellar. Jeremy the bartender rocks. Last night, I asked if they make banana daiquirs, which they don't have on the menu, but the waitress asked him if he could make one. I specifically asked for 99 bananas, which they don't stock, but Jeremy used another banana liqueur and rum and made a banana daiquiri. It was his first time making it so he personally brought it over to me to taste. I loved it, and I got to keep it free of charge! He's always behind the bar so when you go for take out, let him make you something while you wait. I've left my share of RLs disappointed and at this particular one, I'm always happy. read more

Went there yesterday to celebrate my birthday with my husband, sister in law & brother in law. I was disappointed that they did not have any whole Maine lobsters left. I know it's busy on the weekend so I get it that they were sold out. Husband had fish & chip's, in-laws the all you can eat shrimp. I had the pasta with mussels, bay scallops, shrimp, & lobster. I ordered Mojito and all you can taste is water, lemon and some mints. I had mojitos before and I know how it taste. I told the waiter and he just shrugged and later manager came and told me they don't make virgin mojitos. After suffering through lunch at Great Wolf we decided to head out for dinner. This Red Lobster is cleaner than others I've been to. The staff was great. Servers attentive and friendly, and the manager "Marcie" did a great job. My daughter's clam chowder was delayed and she came right over and offered to bring her something else. We hadn't even complained about it, but they were very proactive about any possible issues and I really appreciated that. The food was good - typical Red Lobster, but the service was excellent. Having seen the commercial on TV for the daily specials until 6 PM, I decided to take a ride over today on my way back from Wilkes-Barrie PA. Checked out the Coconut Shrimp! Side salad and a baked potato (ended up putting it in a takeout container for my wife along with the biscuits) . Food, service - Judy - was great. I like sitting at the bar, and while I was the only customer at the bar, my waitress had to make drinks for other customers orders. There was also a several people seated in the bar area. Upon arrival we were told that it would be approximately a 30 minute wait to be seated. We signed in and were able to see at least 10 open seating areas. This was even though there were about 6 families waiting in the small waiting area with very little seating. The new tasting menu is neat, we got dragon broccoli. That was about the only good thing besides the biscuits. The Caesar salad was ordered with the extra shrimp and didn't come with them. My entree included a side and I ordered baked potato. It came out with mashed potatoes. Since I didn't send the salad back but got something else incorrect, I asked for a baked potato. The server came back saying, "it's going to take 6 minutes. Do you want to wait or order something else?" I chose to wait 6 minutes which was actually 11. Had an early dinner here last night. Just does not look or taste as appealing as it once was. The salad is definitely from a bag & tastes it. I had the wood grilled salmon lobster & shrimp. Lobster & shrimp were chewy and drenched in grease. I will be eating the salmon for tonight's dinner. My husband had the Admiral's Feast which was definitely an abundance of food but seemed too overdone & dry. Again, just not the quality it once was. On another note, there was a large party of people who took up 6 or 7 tables with about 20 young children. The children were running circles around the staff, with utensil packets in their hands which of course included knives.
