I will say this place seems locals only. We went for breakfast and we live here. Walked in and was placed in the corner. Took the waitress a bit to come see us, we ordered and then were forgotten. I assume our order was not put in after we ordered because a couple came in 10 minutes behind us and received their food when the waitress came and said yours should be coming soon. We waited another 15 minutes for an omelet and biscuits and gravy. We were told they were out of spoons, there was no sugar, you had to specifically ask for it. The place was alright inside for a diner. The guy sitting in the booth behind us was very rude smacking back and forth where you couldn't sit with you back to him. But then again he was a local and no one would say anything to him. The food was alright. The omelette looked like a beat up scrambled half cooked on one side. I don't need to confront people anymore because people have no respect for others. The food was not worth the price. The atmosphere was not calling me to ever come back. Be aware that menu prices and what they will charge you might be 2 different things. I asked them at the register why there was a 10% over charge on my bill vs what the menu price stated and they just said sorry and went ahead and billed me over the menu price "due to inflation etc etc" That's unfair and they should be ashamed of that, and not fixing my bill. They should immediately fix their menu or stop unfairly billing customers. Aside from that, service is usually fast and food is abundant. But seriously if they over bill me again I will take file a claim with the PA Bureau of Consumer Protection. If I ever go back now that I think of it. Sure it's just a small difference of cost, big deal, but when I bring it to their attention and they acknowledge the difference and STILL over charge the menu price, seriously unethical business practice!!!!! read more

Their big portions and pricing had us returning. They definitely need more help morning/afternoon shift. We almost walked out. But food was good! Decent diner food, and really cheap! I tried the vegetarian omelette and chocolate chip pancakes. The omelette was bigger than I thought, but maybe because it was a specialty omelette. I thought the hash browns would be homemade, but instead they were just deep-friend frozen hash brown patties. The chocolate chip pancakes were good, not to dry or undercooked. They tasted a bit on the eggier side. For the food alone, it'd be 3.5 stars, but bumping it down to 3 stars because the service was really slow and forgetful. Our server also forgot some of our requests (e.g. forgot a side order of bacon, forgot to exclude onions and peppers from the omelette when we requested), and it took more than 15 minutes for our food to arrive after ordering. read more

Just Got done eating at Mueller's diner. I had a little left in my cup of hot tea before I finish with my food. I asked the waitress if I could get a refill on my hot cup of tea. She took my cup, which wasn't completely empty yet and brought it back with hot water and another teabag. When I got my bill, I was charged for 2 cups of hot tea at $2.29 each!!! WTF!!! 2 cups of hot water and two teabags for $4.58. Mueller's diner, you will NEVER see me again. There are too many other places to eat that don't rip you off!! read more

I tried crepes for the first time and really enjoyed them. My friend loved her stuffed French toast. The hostess was gruff, but not downright rude. The waitress was efficient and polite. In town with the family, stopped by here on the way home hoping for that classic diner experience. Unfortunately, it was far from it. I don't even know where to start, our waitress was simply unpleasant. Clearly hates her job, not a people person, lacked patience, and had a serious attitude issue. I get it, dealing with people is a tough job but we barely started placing our order and already this sense of frustration exuding from her was so apparent. What did she expect with a party of 8 (3 of which were toddlers under 6)? It isn't going to be easy or simple. Just as she was wrapping up on taking out order she proceeds to make sly comment "so much for simple order." She, then, leaves mid-conversation from my partner. Blatantly RUDE! And, not to mention through this ordering process she was extremely unhelpful with any questions we had and the constant attitude. We felt as though we were such an inconvenience and uncomfortable the entire meal. The food was okay - the home fries were bland and burnt, a side order of fresh fruits (blueberries, strawberries, banana) weren't exactly fresh. You could tell the blueberries were frozen, but thawed. Upon getting the receipt, we noticed an overcharge on a couple items - kid's pancakes and the bagel substitute for my bacon, eggs and cheese sandwich. Her expressions of annoyance were so obvious and disturbing, she abruptly leaves again. Outstanding! Wonderful server, Lisa, was ever so kind and helpful. We were greeted warmly by hostess Maria, seated right away. Food was phenomenal in so many choices. Portions are gigantic! Really delicious chicken franchaise; also broiled flounder stuffed with crabmeat. All dishes cooked to order -- no pre-frozen microwaved stuff here! Only good "down home" homemade creations. We stopped here for brekkie on the last morning of our family vacay, before saying our good byes and venturing off on our mini treks back to our respective homes. They accommodated our large group and we were able to split our bills. Ordering was a bit of a hassle. I wanted a turkey sausage, egg and cheese on French toast and it seemed to cause more confusion than I would have thought. I would say that if you want something that is easily constructed, just order the items and put it together yourself. I was told there would be an up charge that I can't imagine was more than a couple of dollars but it all involved our server going back to the kitchen to see if they could make a sandwich with items that they already sell separately. I immediately regretted the request and just wished I ordered a short stack of French toast with eggs, cheese and a side of sausage, because that's basically what I got. That probably would have been cheaper as well but again, it wasn't a big deal. Everyone was happy with their food. The servings were huge, just as you would expect from any diner. Babes had a couple of pancakes with turkey sausage on the side and she ate most of her food. We each had about half left over and I requested a togo box. I packed up my stuff and forgot it on the table. When I realized, I came right back but my box was gone and our table cleaned. When I asked the server she said she would check and brought it back out to me. I figured she might have put it to the side since we literally JUST left but I have a feeling it was put in the trash and she fished it out to give back to me. I didn't realize it at the time but when I walked out to the car, I noticed the container was covered in grease or butter, like pools of it all over the container and the container itself, was a little smashed. There was no way I was putting that in my car and 8m sure whatever was on the outside got inside of the container. I left it right in the parking lot. I was very grossed out. I would have appreciated her just telling me she threw it away instead of giving it back to me in that state. When she cleared the table, had she just checked around the corner, she would have seen that we were still up front paying at the cashier and I could have gotten it before she threw it away. It was just weird, especially since they weren't packed at all. The food was still OK, service was good while we were there and the meal fueled us for our trips home. I'd go back but just make sure I have everything before I leave because they'll throw your food away with the quickness. read more

Before heading back home, I stopped at Mullers for breakfast. This place is family owned and looks to be a landmark in Stroudsburg. Lots of locals flock here for a home cooked type meal. When there's a crowd outside that's always a good sign. The wait was LONG! So go early, with a snack and patience! It was Sunday to be fair, but what made it longer was the ladies checking people in weren't very organized, too many "chiefs". We finally were sat down and our meals didn't take too long to come out. I ordered the steak and cheese omelette, to my surprise it was absolutely delicious! The portion size was out of control. I'm not a huge eater so big plates tend to overwhelm me. From the moment the group of friends sat down at Muller's, the waitress displayed a slightly positive attitude, creating a comfortable atmosphere at first, then slowly over the time we were there she became more and more "displeased" with us. Instead of offering a warm welcome, she didn't radiate any positive vibes and set a sour tone for the meal. This lack of good service can deeply affect the dining experience, as customers want to feel valued and respected. Compounding the issue, two friends ordered salads that never arrived, leaving them disappointed. Additionally, one friend ordered a Bacon Burger with a specific request for no cheese due to a dairy allergy. The burger was initially served with cheese, and even after returning it, not even 2 minutes goes by since they walked into the kitchen. bits of cheese were found on the bacon and fries. This negligence regarding dietary restrictions is alarming and absolutely unacceptable, as restaurants have a responsibility to ensure the safety of their guests. Muller's needs to reassess its customer service and food safety practices, as a restaurant should be a source of enjoyment rather than stress. While the food quality was commendable, with no complaints regarding taste, the handling of dietary restrictions was concerning and could have resulted in serious consequences for someone with a more severe allergy. It is crucial for Muller's to improve service and take dietary needs seriously to create a better dining experience for all customers. Unfortunately, due to this negligence, there is no intention to return to this establishment. read more

Dang to do i miss diners and i am so glad my family tried this one out! Wait wasn't too long but sadly they don't have their early bird deal which is until 11am on weekends. Go on a weekday and i think pancakes are like $3 and they're so good. Ordered the breakfast combo which is 2 huge pancakes, 2 eggs made anyway i get fried my mom gets sunny side up/over easy, sausage/ham and home fries. Side order of corned beef hash omg that was super good! Totally worth it was delicious. My breakfast combo was so filling and so good it was a great mix. Especially liked the pancakes which were fairly fluffy. Brother got a sausage egg and cheese sandwich which he was craving on a bagel. He said it was good. Dad got meatloaf. Not a fan of the gravy and the meatloaf was ok but he liked it. I think i just wanted something a little more in it or more flavor basically? Service was so sweet!
