It ended up being a girls' night and thank goodness for a Red Lobster close to MOA. I haven't been at this location but my first time didn't disappoint me. Food was served on time, it was fresh & hot, water was filled without needing to be asked and food was reasonably priced. I think I could live off of ordering from their appetizers menu. Although I couldn't fill it all in my stomach, we did order the seafood stuffed mushrooms, mussels with white wine, and the lobster pizza. I have been to this location many times and have noticed a decline in quality in recent years. I went on a Sunday evening, and did call ahead seating to hopefully not have to wait too long. When we got there the entire waiting area was filled and they were telling people it would be a 45 minute wait, we expected to be seated fairly promptly as we had done the call ahead seating a half hour before. We ended up still having to wait 30 minutes to get a table. And guess what, as we were seated there at least 15 empty tables around us. I'm not sure if the reason they were making their patrons wait was due to understaffing or some other reason, but multiple times I saw the manager just standing around chatting with other employees, while he easily could've been serving the waiting customers. It took us almost another hour to get our food, and it came out lukewarm. I ordered shrimp tacos, which were honestly terrible. And I'm not a harsh critic! I have had better tacos from a gas station! I couldn't tell if the taco shells were just terribly stale soft shells, or soggy hardshells. The shrimp was tough, and tacos were drowning in sauce so you really couldn't taste anything but that. My family and I had a wonderful time at red lobster. We were just there cause we didn't want to cook. There was only about a ten minute wait and we were seated within almost exactly ten minutes after we arrived. When we were seated we had a wonderful server named Jordan. He was very helpful and gave us very good recommendations (peach ice tea and crispy red potatoes). We ordered crab legs coconut shrimp (with very good piña colada sauce) Shrimp linguini Alfredo New England lobster kettle and the admirals feast. All of the above were delicious. Went here a month ago. Had good service and great food. My parents never been here so we ordered more than we could finish. We had ordered the piña colada and Bahama mama virgin, and liked it very much. For apps: had the lobster pizza it is perfect every time. We also ordered the mussels in a white wine butter sauce. Sauce was good, dipped bread with it, but the mussels were over cooked. And of course their famous cheddar bay biscuits, yummy nice and crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. We all had Cesar salad which had too much dressing to our liking. We ordered steak and turf (lobster tail). The steak (ny) surprisingly good. Lobster tail was sweet. We also ordered a trio that had grilled salmon, lobster and shrimp which was okay. Lastly had the lobster linguine and that was tasty, the sauce was a lemon butter! Red lobster is not as good as it use to be. There were not many people in the restaurant but it took a while for the food to come out. The sangria was not a true sangria. I don't plan on going back to anymore red lobsters. Then the prices should not be as high as they are. read more

Halloween has passed, but by the time your food arrives you'll look like a skeleton because you're starving. Hadn't been here in years. I remember them being slow but the wait time to get the food was over an hour and they weren't even busy. The wait time for a table then for the food to be served was long. When the wait is that long the wait staff should be OVERLY gracious...they weren't. Still had to request refills and biscuits. The food was 5/10. Not worth time or money. Two thumbs down. read more

I placed an order to be delivered by GrubHub. The order was placed at about 5:50 with an estimated delivery time of 45-55 minutes. At 6:40 I was notified the food was being prepared. When it was finally delivered at 7:50 it was cold. Cold seafood is not appealing. Also, cheddar biscuits are apparently not considered to be part of a meal so if you want them you'll have to order them separately. In all fairness to the restaurant and GrubHub I did get multiple notifications that the delivery was being rescheduled but the food is still late and cold. read more

Went for Fall 2014 Endless Shrimp promotion. The Darden Group recently sold Red Lobster to a new investment group who vowed improved food experience. First experience I noticed is endless shrimp price increased to 17.99 from last years 15.99 although the food choice quality slipped: Added Sirachi shrimp which is like the no longer available (but better) skewered shrimp with sirachi sauce squirted on it. Poor. They added another scampi selection -still have garlic scampi which is good. The new ones called Parmesan scampi which is a cheap way to knock out a more costly selection without dropping the number of selections. Hand breaded shrimp are still my favorite and served hot. The worst addition is coconut shrimp bites- breaded, tiny, tail-off no-doubt frozen and not fresh. Terrible piña colada dipping sauce accompanies and the shrimp was mushy, tiny and over breaded. Still have shrimp linguini which is good. Looked at broad menu and see a definite 5-10 percent across the board price hike from the new ownership group. Good Luck. Bottom line for us: We eat here 4 times per year only. They won't miss us likely. Not impressed with the lower quality of choices for the increased price point. The pricing increases justify looking at non chain seafood offerings in the area. Service was very good as is par for the Burnsville location. read more

The biscuits have always been the star of the meal unless you pony up for a tank lobster, most of your meal is food service product that is already prepared and zapped in a microwave. The seasonal shrimp tacos that pop up on the menu from time to time are great. The lunch menu won't set you back as much as dinner will. Its to expense for frozen seafood. read more

Hadn't been here in a few years so my wife and I decided to try it out again. First of all they must have been rather understaffed because we had about a 30 minute wait even though there were empty tables all over the place. I ordered the walleye and chips dinner while my wife ordered the scallops and shrimp. I had ordered the half-portion of the walleye but the waiter brought the full order...2 large pieces. I pointed that out to him and he said he would make sure we would not be charged for the full order. He later came back and said the kitchen wanted half of the order back so he proceeded to take one of the pieces of walleye back which was really odd because unless they were planning on giving it to another customer (which clearly they're not supposed to do) they would just have to throw it out. On top of this the walleye was greasy and mushy and they had put it on top of the fries so that also made the fries greasy. My wife said here scallops were rubbery but at least she liked the shrimp. Overall for the prices here it was a major disappointment and we won't be coming back here anytime soon. read more

The Caesar Salad was good. The Lobster Linguini was too saturated with oil and was $24. If they are going to charge that much for a pasta dish, they should know how to make it. If they are going to make it like they did, then it should be $16 or so. The lobster in it was good, however. Just for comparison, I had a spectacular fettuccine dish at Chao Bella for $18. True, it didn't have lobster in it, but it was made by someone who knew what they were doing. read more

Well... we started off the evening sitting at the bar waiting for a table (normal) and the bartender was complaining about another employee and how he should get fired (not so normal, yet entertaining). The house merlot costs as much as a bottle of merlot (overpriced). Our server, Carrie, was awesome. Super nice and accommodating for my gluten free needs. The experience would have been better if I didn't have to sort through a 3 ring binder of janky paper to find what is and is not gluten free. The food was covered in butter, but I loved it and what is what I expected. If people expect to come to Red Lobster and not have their food covered in butter that is on them, they shouldn't complain, it's inevitable. read more

Went here for my sister's birthday and the service can be pretty sluggish depending on which waiter or waitress is assigned to your table. My sister ordered a daiquiri and it took over 10 minutes to come back from the bar. The calamari appetizer has deep fried vegetables with it which makes it seem like there's more of what you ordered when only about half of it is actually calamari. I ordered the Ultimate Surf and Turf. The lobster tail was just a little overcooked but not to the point of it being inedible. The waitress left the tray next to our table a few times so that she could pile dishes on it, which seems a little awkward. As always, though, the cheddar biscuits were the A+ part of the meal. read more

Cheddar Biscuits! Sorry got distracted, as in some of my other reviews this is a chain, if you've been to one location you know what to expect from this one. I have not had a bad meal or mistake come from the kitchen. The food is as advertised. The Cheddar Biscuits are a shameful addiction of mine and the price is right if you just want to go out and have some shrimp. I've had most things on the menu and don't have any recommendations for anything to steer away from. Just order what sounds good to you, If not I've found asking the wait staff usually is beneficial as they can inform you of their favorites or even some modifications that may not be listed on the menu. read more

Went on a busy Saturday night and was seated earlier than originally told. One host was on the phone and the other host must have been training because she didn't acknowledge us when we first walked up to the stand-but that is just a pet peeve of mine. The food was okay and was served in a timely manner. The real highlight of out visit was out server Cherlynn (if i remember correct) she was obviously busy but made time to chat without being chatty if you know what i mean. Checked in on us the right amount of times without smothering or ignoring us and grabbed us extra stuff like pepper, butter, ect with a smile. Many other servers you can tell that they are annoyed with requests like this but if she was she didnt let on which is rare in the service industry nowadays so hats off to you girl! read more

I went to the Bloomington Red Lobster on Saturday September 1st 2018. We have been going to RL for years, this one is our favorite, I may have to try Roseville or Burnsville. For the last I believe 3 times, the Walt's shrimp has been under cooked and limp, the wood fired shrimp is usually so good, but they have not been cooking it is also half cooked and limp. Ah and now again RL has removed the salt and how they bake their baked potatoes, so now just a plain baked potato that I can make at home, asked the wait person "oh so you again removed the salt because people complained, she said yes" but what about us who like the salt and the way you used to make them, can we have a choice of salt or no salt! RL did removed the salt a few years ago, but had so many complaints they brought the salt back, can I suggest you do that again! So RL used to be one restaurant I could ALWAYS count on for a great meal and service(service is still great) is no longer on my short list. It has just been going down hill for a while now. Really hope RL can get back to their great food! I will not be going back for a long while. Just another mediocre restaurant now, with a big price tag, and not worth it. read more

This was my first visit to this location and it will be my last. The waitress we had was either new or needed more training because she didn't know the menu very well. My brother and I ordered the three course which seemed like a good deal. My brother ordered a soup and he gets a salad and for his entree, he got a full size order and I only got a half size and the waitress only asked my brother which size he wanted. She didn't seem too concerned that I was a little disappointed nor asked me if I wanted the full size portion. She wasn't very attentive and took her forever to bring drinks and a refill as well as the biscuits and we never got any after the second time we asked for them. The worst part of the meal was the dessert which I had asked to have it to go. She brings the bag and as I was leaving it felt unusually light. There was only a small triangle brownie and no ice cream. We couldn't find the server so we just left. When your paying for something you expect to get it and receive better service. I get it was a Friday night, but it was unacceptable and it wasn't even as busy as a Friday night usually it. I've worked in the restaurant business for over 13 years, in fact, I've worked for Darden restaurants. I actually felt bad for the other tables that were seated for this waitress. Also, the prices were somewhat expensive for a lot of the dishes on the menu. The only positive thing about the visit was the hostess who apologized for the wait on the table. read more
