Service was great was able to be seated quickly. They have a terribly small bar area may 6 chairs wide and 2 high top tables for 2 people. Do not order the calamari as a appetizer as it has changed from fresh to frozen. It looked like orings and very very chewy. Luckily our waitress was willing to take it off the bill when she noticed we was not going to eat it. Overall great service, great food, small bar, and terrible appetizer. read more

This particular Red Lobster has really gone downhill over the last few years. I just returned from a birthday dinner there and the overall experience was not so great. It started with the hostess that was seating us. She took so long at the stand that at first I thought perhaps she didn't hear us and then when she finally did lead us to our table she moved so slow that I actually looked down to see if she was wearing a cast. Our server was not bad but not overwhelmingly good. I would give her about a 3 on a five star scale. The food was about about a 2. We ordered a starter because we had a coupon. It was the calamari and vegetables which has been a favorite of mine for years. This time it was very greasy and chock full of overfried bits of dough. My wife ordered the popcorn shrimp which she had no complaints with and I had the Admirals Feast which is supposed to come with fried fish and bay scallops. The fish was not on the plate when it was delivered to the table and kudos to the server for realizing this immediately. She got the fish to me quick enough and we proceeded to eat our meal. The server did check on us from time to time but I thought she was a bit slow overall. We paid our bill and did not realize until we were on the way home that the bay scallops had not been on the plate. There is enough fried stuff with that meal anyway but when you pay for something you should get it. All of these things combined are why I'm only giving the place two stars overall. You need to step up your game Red Lobster, there was a time when I would have given this location at least 4 stars but not now. read more

Not impressed, this restaurant chain keeps going downhill. The prices go up and the quality goes down. Our food was not plated well, it looked like they just threw it on the plate. $30+ a plate is ridiculous for what you get here. They were out of snow crab legs!! I repeat Red Lobster had no snow crab legs! They were willing to replace on the Ultimate feast with inferior king crab legs but not a lobster tail because it is more expensive than snow crab legs. The point is the customers where the ones who were inconvenienced and not a lot was done to make it right nor did any of the servers seem very apologetic or helpful. That was the reason we went there. They had to drive to the Chambersburg store to get more and said it would take over an hour. Things happen, but having no crab legs is like Outback having no steak. It was a disappointing experience since I go there only about twice a year. read more

Food was alright like any other Red Lobster. Service was subpar, waitress mediocre at best. Asked what kind of dressing I wanted, and waited. How about offering what you have. Pina Colada had no liquor, but paid for one as if it has rum, told me that's the way they come. Had better service with other servers. Not a good dining experience, if you have to pay 15% tip for less than average service, let me do it myself. read more

We dined at the red lobster in Hagerstown md. on 9/9. The service was good. The food sucked. Tiny salad shrimp breaded with extra breading then laid in cold oil before being served. They were mushy and oily. The saracha and honey shrimp we're dollar tree breaded shrimp with honey and got sauce drizzled over them. The scampi we're again precooked salad shrimp with oil and butter squirted on them. No bits of garlic no seasoning just oil and butter. The biscuits we're a HUGE disappointment. We always fight over them. Not yesterday. They were just flour biscuits. All you tasted was flour. No buttery taste, not garlic, no cheddar. Just plain flour. I have had better seafood meals at Long John Silvers. The salad was good but kind of hard to screw up raw lettuce and carrots. I may never eat at red lobster again. This was a place we came to for celebrations. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and like yesterday to celebrate great moments in our lives. Not anymore. read more

I don't usually go to seafood restaurants as I am extremely allergic to fish. I do love and can eat shellfish however. Went to the Red Lobster in Hagerstown yesterday with my family and I have to say I felt secure and confident that I could enjoy dinner there safely. We enjoyed the food, and each other's company. Our server, Jeremy was wonderful and everything was prepared as expected. I know its probably taking a chance, but kitchen procedures are such that I have never had a misadventure in any Red Lobster. I don't usually take this kind of chance anywhere else. Met expectations and exceeded them in some areas. read more

My grandfather really wanted Red Lobster for his birthday so we all piled in the car and drove to the closest one. I've never been to this Red Lobster so I really didn't have any expectations. Just seafood. And hopefully good seafood. My grandfather ordered his favorite, crab legs. The rest of us ordered from the 4-course menu ($17.99). I chose the clam chowder, caesar salad, shrimp linguini alfredo, and a brownie desert of some sort. Of course, you get cheddar biscuits which were out of this world delicious... and warm. We also ordered a stuffed mushroom appetizer that turned out to be really good. It didn't look like much but very filling while we waited for our food. Our waiter was very personable and friendly. He was very good about bringing our food out in order so we never sat too long wondering where our food was at. Overall, it was a good experience, just nothing overly spectacular. I thought it was a bit expensive for more basic entrees... steak entrees started around $20. I would return only if I were getting something like lobster tail. Something that I could justify spending that much money on. read more

I has 1/2 snow crab cluster which didn't have the large claw, 1/2 dungeness crab that was boiled in salt water only, was tasteless at the price of almost $28. way over priced. Tonight we went to Red Lobster with a party of 8. I went in and told the hostess that there were 8 of us and she said how many? I said 8. She said how many and I said 8 again. She said three? I said no, eight. She said I need to know how many there are. I said I've repeated myself and she said I can't even understand you because you have an accent! She was extremely rude and loud about it. We ended up deciding to leave there due to how rude she was. read more

Would be zero stars. Made reservations in advance specifically because family member is in a wheel chair and wanted them to be seated comfortably. When we arrived the hostess proceeds to tell us the girl before her wasn't there (I don't know what that had to do with anything), I suppose the prior hostess didn't specify handicap and she would have to find us a place. We were escorted to a booth which obviously wasn't going to work. When we pointed that out, we were then paraded through the ENTIRE restaurant looking for a table. The staring was particularly unpleasant. When finally seated, it was next to a dirty windowsill. All of that aside the food wasn't good but it wasn't terrible. It's a Red Lobster. No better or worse than any other Red Lobster. The seating is relatively private with booths set at angles. The atmosphere is relaxing and the waitstaff is courteous and attentive. The restaurant was clean and comfortable feeling. The food is tasty, but the only real standout is the cheesey bisquits (that they will refill endlessly if asked). The cocktails are varied with many of their own creations. The fish seemed fresh, but suffers from an overabundence of oil from cooking. I recommend any of the grilled fish as opposed to anything fried (which is really greasy). The variety of side dishes leans a little heavily towards calorie rich items, although brocolli and baked potatoes are available. Salads are skimpy and not really inspired. Desserts are rich, overly sweet, and gooey. Cocktails, salads, fish dinners, and dessert for 2 came to just over $100. Very steep for a chain. read more

I have definitely eaten in better Red Lobster's. The food portions were very small, the area we sat in was cold and drafty. I will say the server we had was fantastic. Very friendly, attentive, and fast. I guess I should realize that Red Lobster is the K-Mart of the seafood restaurants. I will have to say I have never been in a rest. with that bad of service. were to start I was greeted by a hostess that took me to a dirty booth. Let me say this first, there were 3 tables occupied at the time I entered. I had to stand there while the hostess cleaned that table off. then she laid a menu in front of me without reseting the table, then within mins brought me a menu survey. that's right a menu survey no place mat no silverware. NOTHING but the survey, then came the waitress again she wants to read the menu to me as if I am unable to read or see the pictures. again no silverware, she took my drink and app. order right drink came to the table then the app. thank god it was nacho's again no silverware, yes I have not ask for it not my place to ask server for utensils to eat with. waitress brought me a salad that i picked at with my fingers, waitress walked by and ask how was everything as I am putting lettuce in my mouth with my fingers, didn't even notice. took app. and salad plates brought dinner I ate most of it with the lobster fork when waitress came to ask me how my dinner was she ask why I hadn't eaten the bake potatoe I told her I wasn't given silverware to eat any of my meal. The real sad part of this they never said sorry for the trouble offer a free drink a dessert nothing just gave me the bill and expected a tip. read more
