It's been over 4 years since I've eaten at Red Lobster, so I decided to make my return trip there. This time, bringing my family along--making it family night. As always, they have a friendly staff, and the setting and lighting is perfect for an evening out. My mom, who just celebrated her birthday earlier this week ordered the Admiral's Feast. As for me, I went and ordered the wood-grilled peppercorn sirloin steak. While waiting, they served us our side salads--which is fresh and crispy, and their world famous cheddar biscuits. They were so delicious, they even served us extra biscuits with our entrees. As always, they haven't lost their touch. Really, can you go wrong with Red Lobster? Probably not. It's the safe seafood place in Dallas...an area that is lacking in that dept. So I came here for dinner on a Saturday for some crab legs to go. They come with potatoes and corn! Pretty tasty. I love their garden salad too with the red wine vinaigrette. Service was ok. The food was sub par. The lobster had a blue green discoloration on the edge and by the time that was cut off not Much lobster to eat. The shrimp scampi was so salty it was inedible. The shrimp cocktail had mushy ends on them. Pretty gross!!! The manager needs to do a shake up and get the quality of the food better. Our bill for 3 was over $100 and not worth even half of that. The spinach dip was good and our waiter was also very attentive and polite but the bartender, can't pour liquor. If I pay almost $10 for a Pina Colada I expect to taste the Rum and feel it after 2. Well shit bubba, the place ain't even 1/2 full and you don't seem to be able to get me the goddamned cheddar biscuits. Anyway back to he manager. She takes one look at the garbage on my plate and apologizes. Apparently the servers at Red Lobster cannot discern the difference between the $32.00 "fresh caught special" and the crap they serve to the poor schmucks who want the endless crab dinner for $12.95. The manager shares this information with me as if I am a member of a secret society - a non-elite version of Skull and Bones - it's our little secret. Except it's not. The "crab" arrives and the first sign of trouble is the large domed plastic cover on dish. Me thinks the tool of the inept kitchen commie was deployed - the microwave. The crab shells are limp and the meat disintegrates with the gentlest touch of a fork. The first taste reveals all - tasteless slush, steamed to death. Every little bit of crab taste is gone. Replaced with a metallic water taste. I suppose this level of seafood abuse should be expected on a Sunday night in Dallas. I suppose I deserve a little blame here too - A Dallas Red Lobster - ninja please. That was a stupid call. I pay the bill, wander into the bright 98 degree sunlight. Lesson learned. read more

Expense lobster and fast service on a reasonable price. Rich variety of beer that can satisfy you but the lack of wifi was really noticeable for me after 18hours of flight and wanted to do some work while enjoying the food. Ordered from here through door dash and not only did they forget my ice cream that is suppose to come with the chocolate cake their seafood was disgusting. Ordered crab linguine and my goodness it was disgusting, not only did they put very little Alfredo sauce there was crab water in at bottom of bowl which gave the pasta a very foul dirty crab taste. I'm not one to be overly critical of the food industry as it's a tough job. However, my recent experience at Red Lobster was very poor. The food was the usual standard for Red lobster, the poor service and unapologetic delays is cause for my review. The 1.5 hour delay to serve while explaining they were doing their best is poor representation of "doing your best." The lack of ownership and making the situation right by their leaders is indication that red lobster has not figured out how create a customer experience to delight nor how to address problems. My grandparents decided to have their 60th wedding anniversary at this location. We called SIX days ahead to reserve a space and give a heads up and they said it was fine. We arrive at 5:30, nobody comes to take our drink orders til 6, food orders around 6:15. We waited for our food and it did not come out til 8:00pm. I needed to leave so I politely asked for my food in a ToGo container. They said that was fine and they would do that. They did not put my food in a container and when I asked for one I waited almost 10 min for one. I then proceeded to find the waitress to ask for another box and to inform them my sister was missing part of her meal. She then proceeded to YELL at me about how they're working and they're trying and I informed them I just asked for a box and I was trying not to become angry. The waitress as well as two other people started yelling and cursing at me. Saying things like "we're f*cking stressed" and "I'm tryin not to lose my sh*t with you" and several other things. I then proceeded to tell the manager who then informed me I "wasn't even supposed to take my food with me" even though we had been waiting for three hours for the food. I informed her that her staff yelled and cussed at me and she said it was my fault. I'm so incredibly upset and angry with how I was treated and the way I was spoke to. Probably some of the worst service I've ever experienced at a restaurant. You would think considering it's a chain they would take more pride in service and satisfaction of their customer base. Me and my grandmother went to go try and have lunch and we sat and waited for 10 minutes without a single person coming to give us service. This has not been the first occurrence this has happened we've tried coming to this location multiple times and every time it's the same. No customers, very poor service, sub-par food. I am a huge fan of red lobster and any location outside of Irving is exceptional service but for some reason this location shows no pride or care. Will never come here again. read more

The service-negative star. We arrived around 8:00 tonight but We felt unwelcomed as soon as we walked in. The lady st the front desk with dark long hair glanced at us with a poker face and said "Two? Give me a few minutes ok?" Then walked away. We saw empty tables. We took a seat at the waiting area for 5 minutes. The other guests came in, the lady came back and asked them about their names and wrote down. But never bothered to ask our name, so we weren't sure she put us down. So we stood up and got closer, she saw us but ignored us the whole time. After waiting for another 3 minutes or so, another lady came back and asked whether we were waiting and wanted to take us in, the long hair lady stopped her and told her we were not the first in line, which she never bothered to mention that seeing us waiting there the whole time after we arrived. Honestly, we felt she is kind of racist. She looked like she didn't want to serve us at all. Finally someone else came to show us to our table. We were starving after a long day of traveling, but our server was not very attentive when we first sat down and it took her more than 10 minutes to bring us the biscuits. Her attitude is not as bad as the lady in the front but not warm either. The food- 2 star. We had unlimited shrimp. The shrimp was tender and fresh, but most of them are either too salty or too sweet. The drink-5 star. The signature drinks are the only thing good about our experience. It was very delicious. When my in-laws suggested we go to Red Lobster I was actually not aware this location existed! We drove up on a weekday for dinner and the parking lot looked surprisingly full but the inside dining room is so large that there were PLENTY of tables available. This location has a very formal, elegant feel to it however you can get away with wearing work out clothes in if you desire (I do). The waiter was extremely friendly and quick to take our order and deliver the food. Mouth-wateringly great shrimps served as part of the all-you-can-eat shrimp special they still do here, and for only just under $20. The grilled shrimps on skewers are mighty fine - like I've had in Barcelona or Maputo - firm, with a hint of burn from the grill on the edges as they should have...exceptional. But the garlic scampi as its called is worth coming back again and again for - shrimps in a tasty garlic butter sauce, served sizzling at your table. Fast, friendly, efficient service. Had to wait several minutes to be seated although no one is waiting. Table was filthy, waited for it to be cleaned. Floor was filthy as were other empty tables. They pulled the blind down to block the sun. It was nauseating from mold and stains so I raised it. The windowsills have never been cleaned. So I had to travel all the way to Texas to get to Red Lobster... Allow me to set up the scene. I was flying from New York to Dallas to meet up with KM for her birthday. She and I had always wanted to go to Red Lobster in New York. Pretty much an inside joke with me and a lot of my friends because...really, who craves Red Lobster in the restaurant capital of the world? I digress. Anyway, we never made it to the one in New York because it's in Times Square and we just didn't have it in us. She picks me up from the airport in Dallas and I just happen to look out the window and see the iconic Red Lobster sign. "Pull. Over." Five minutes later, we were seated where dreams come true. We had this amazing server, Chris, who was hysterical. We were there at 2 in the afternoon and ordered margaritas and some rum cocktail. He walks away saying, "Jealous." Love him already. I can't remember what KM ordered but I ordered some shrimp bonanza that was way too much food. Or maybe I just filled up on those damn cheddar biscuits. I'd been trying to only eat at local establishments or smaller chains while in the DFW area, but rolling the dice is not something I want to do when i have a migraine. The service was good and that's why I'm giving it 2 stars. I love raw oysters so I was so stoked when I saw they had raw oysters available that were brought in this morning. The pungent odour was overwhelming and the meat slid around the oyster and it's surrounding "liquor" was a pale yellow. I know that raw oysters will have a fishy odour, this was not a fishy odour though; this was completely rotten. I gulped one down for the hell of it and I nearly barfed. The server and the manager were very kind and didn't charge us. I guess I should know way better than to order raw oysters at a chain restaurant. Especially when you're nowhere near the coast. Food was great as always, reason why im leaving such a low review is because our waiter was not attentive at all, we had been here and hour before getting a refill and at that we had to get the refill from the manager. Despite how long it took for our food to come out it was very good. After we spoke with the manager about the poor service the waiter started giving us attitude. I enjoyed a business lunch at this location this past week and was very pleased. Our server took care of us perfectly. He could see we had issues to discuss and stayed discretely in the background. WE never lacked for anything. My "wood-fired" salmon with the Cajun spice was absolutely incredible. It was perfect. The on-duty manager stopped at our table and was very cordial.
