We stopped at this red lobster for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, around 1 PM. They were not terribly busy, but there was a steady amount of customers. As is typical for most red lobsters, they were understaffed, and the employees that were working looked a bit clueless at times. Aside from Jessica, I'm not sure many of the others knew what they were actually supposed to be doing. Jessica, however, was our server, our bartender, was busing tables, and I'm pretty sure she was in the back preparing the food. I don't know what job she didn't do, in fact, I think at some point she may have even went back and washed dishes. Red Lobster, to me, is where seafood meets comfort food. No, it's not the best seafood that you can ever have, mostly because we are in the middle of the country. But Red Lobster's offerings are generally comforting, consistent, and served quickly. This location has really good service. Max took care of us from start to finish, always with a smile, gave us plenty of attention, but not too much, and made our experience just right. The shrimp & sausage jambalaya was comforting and spicy, just the way I like it, and it was exactly what we needed on that night. The Cheddar Bay biscuits are always the hook, and we even got our picky youngest to sample them before we actually had to cut her off from eating more. Decided to go to Red Lobster for dinner. It was slow and easy to get a table at 5:00 on a Friday night, that should've been the first clue. I ordered the filet Oscar, when my steak arrived it was less than half the size of my palm and I am not a very big woman. I'm only 5 foot tall. The crab on top of the fillet was very fishy, smelling, and tasting, which was kind of a turn off. I ordered my filet mignon medium rare, it was awful. Over priced with fast food quality food. I won't be back. I know why they're dead on a Friday night, I doubt they will stay in business long. read more

Came here for lobster fest, it was the WORST!!experience I ever encountered as far as dining at RL. I gave it one star due to our server Elana being on top of our refills and checking in on the table from time to time. However two issues I had with my food and drink she completely brushed off. The first issue was with the Blue Hawaiian cocktail I ordered, it literally tasted like Blue Hawaiian Punch, straight sugar. It did not taste tropical at all nor could you taste any liquor. The second issue was my food was AWFUL! To the point you couldn't tell I ate some of it. Elana could see as clear as day most of my food was untouched, she never bothered to ask me if everything was ok. When she did decide to ask me how was everything was when I asked her for a to go box and the check. I told her my food was cold and it did not taste up to par. She totally dismissed what I said, didn't offer to make it right or bring a manager over. We ordered crab which was terrible. They were brought to us on a bed of crappy potatoes. Some were just warm, some cold inside coming from their previous frozen state and not being cooked thoroughly. Several legs we cracked open had no meat whatsoever. It took forever to get service, which was poor overall. For how much I paid, I expected more. I gave this Red Lobster two stars because the food was excellent and the service was very good as well... honestly, they would have received five stars but an unfortunate situation occurred.. I received my bill for $74 for my dinner. I paid it using my debit card and then I left a $20 tip on the table in cash... unfortunately when I checked my bank account yesterday instead of taking out the $74, someone had manipulated my receipt and added a $17 tip to the bill even though I crossed the line through the tip section and wrote my $74 total underneath.. I was extremely disappointed to see that because this had never happened to me at any eating establishment before ever.. I reached out to the restaurant yesterday afternoon and was informed the manager was busy and could not take my call.. that was totally understandable and the individual who answered the call took my name and my phone number and told me the manager would call me back.. no one ever did.. I generally do not leave reviews on Yelp but I was so disappointed in the dishonesty that this restaurant exhibited that I had to put it out there.. again the service was excellent the food was very delicious but the dishonesty of whichever employee it was who took advantage of my generosity after already having left a $20 tip which was more than 22% then took another $17 from me.. Ate in for lunch today. Ordered the Strawberry Lemonade, Lobster Bisque, and Jumbo Coconut Shrimp with sides of lobster-topped mashed potatoes and crispy Brussels sprouts. Service was top-notch-- five stars! The cheddar bay biscuits are not as large or buttery or cheesy as I remember them to be a few years ago (the last time I actually visited a Red Lobster), but they were still pretty good. The Lobster Bisque was a tiny bit disappointing because there weren't lumps of lobster in it. I also felt that the flavor was a tiny bit artificial. Probably wouldn't order it again. The Coconut Shrimp were as I remembered. They were tasty, but nothing extraordinary. The lobster-topped mashed potatoes and the crispy Brussels sprouts were both a bit salty. They were on the verge of being too salty, but I think I'd rather they be as salty as they were than bland. I probably wouldn't order the crispy Brussels sprouts again. The lobster-topped mashed potatoes? Maybe. Overall, I felt like it was a nice meal. Problem with red lobster is the price. The average person can not afford a $30-$50 meal and the portions are 50% smaller than what they were in the 70's and 80's but they doubled the prices. Came in for a late dinner on a holiday. It surprisingly died down shortly after our arrival. Our server was a tad forgetful about silverware, napkins, etc., but I'm sure he had a busy night. Halfway through our dinner, I was distracted by a female employee laughing and speaking loudly to our server, saying, "You know when you said you were selfish earlier? I think you might be right!" and they continued to laugh. We asked our server for the bill, and after we made payment, he asked if we needed anything else before he left for the night. My assumption is that he made a comment to the female employee about wanting us to hurry up so he could go home since we were his last table, regardless of the holiday or celebration (it was also our anniversary). Upon walking to the entrance, there were about 4 workers standing right by the door smoking and talking to each other. One of them grabbed the door and welcomed me to the restaurant. I'm not sure if that is a designated smoking area, but that's probably something that customers don't want to see when walking up to the door. As soon as I walked in, a molded smell hit me. I wondered how the quality of the food would be since the restaurant had a smell to it, but decided to stay since it was getting late and I didn't want to search for something else last minute. I was craving lobster, so I decided to go with the lobster tacos. I was expecting a basic taco filled with crumbles of lobster meat in them, but they actually came out with a lot of meat and a really good sauce on top. My friend had the lobster bisque, that didn't have quite as much lobster meat, but it was still pretty tasty. The waitress was nice and attentive, the food was good, but the restaurant itself could do a little improving. Chocolate wave was not delivered with ice cream even though it states that on the menu and it states that on the receipt. We have never had issues with this in the past, called the restaurant and was informed by either a manger named Charlie or Regan (they changed their name by the end of the conversation) that due to ice cream melting this week they are no longer serving ice cream with the cake. If that's the case then okay but atleast inform your customers. As for a resolution they said we can either drive there and pick up ice cream (we live 30 min away) or we can request a refund from Uber eats. I had quite a pleasant experience at Red Lobster. Who woulda thunk it? Growing up, this place was reserved for special occasions or lunch after church. After all these years I've finally come back to the same location I had gone to as a child, and man was I thoroughly satisfied with how it has changed. First of all the the service is TOP-NOTCH. Right away the greeter was really nice and friendly. Right when I thought we had found the best worker in the place, Derek, our server was incredible! Haven't had a server quite memorable as him. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the food and answered all my questions quite promptly. Oh and did I say already that he looks like THE ALEX SMITH from the Kansas City Chiefs? haha we even called him that before we left with our happy bellies :) Anyway let's get to the food! We got the dinner for two (Only $29.99! what a steal!) that came with two side salads, appetizer or dessert (you can get both for only $4.99 more!), and two entrees. OMG first off....I almost got too full before the main dishes, because of the UNLIMITED cheddar bay biscuits. They are to die for! But don't go over board or else you won't be able to eat later haha Ceasar Salad: pretty standard, not much to say. haha Spicy Buffalo Chicken Bites: had a great nice spicy kick to it AND it made me a believer in blue cheese. I've always stayed away from this wretched cheese but they made me like it especially paired with buffalo chicken! (lol I get so picky when it comes to rice, because I usually eat jasmine steamed white rice) Peppercorn-Grilled Sirloin with Portobello Wine Sauce (Served over mashed potatoes and green beans): Got mine cooked medium rare, like I always get my steak and I was quite happy with it. I love cows...lol. The sauce was delicious. I loved how Red Lobster really improved their presentation! I remember it as more of an applebees type place, but they've upped their game! Eat here if you want raw lobster tail and missing food. This is about the 3rd time that food was missing out of my to-go order. I called and talked to the manager about the RAW lobster tail and missing salad and they said they can send a gift card or I can drive up and get my food. I didn't want to drive 30 mins to get the food again so I thought a gift card would be sufficient. I was literally sent a gift card for $15... Total I spent $100 tonight.
