Our food was okay, but we never got refills or our bread. Our waitress spent 15 minutes just talking next to our table with another employee after ignoring our table for the men in the area. Clam Chowder $6.95 for about 3-4 oz, 6 spoon fulls. Lobster dip was cheesy, little lobster. The lobster fest lobster pasta had almost no lobster, little flavor, the Maine tail was tasty. My wife's margarita ordered first, arrived with the entrees, not with the soup or appetizer. I am going thru chemo and radiation and my son stopped by to pick up lunch. I had the fried flounder, baked potato and bread. The tarter sauce was so tangy I could not eat it. (I had talked to the servers once before when I ate inside and they served that awful tasting tarter sauce. I was told that Red Lobster was going back to the original tarter sauce. I will not return until the original tarter sauce comes back to the table. Please pay attention to the small complaints because that can mean the difference keeping a customer or losing a customer. (Just take a moment to think about all the restuarants closing in Lexington, Kentucky. Many of these well known restuarants have closed because management just didn't seem to care about the quality of their food.) Red Lobster has always been one of my favorites. Stopped in for dinner while out shopping. It has been a long time since I have ate dinner at Red Lobster. Service was amazing and the food excellent. Arrived at 12:40 and our server didn't come to the table until 5-10 minutes after we arrived. Order was taken and our salads arrived promptly. 30 minutes after we arrived our meal had not arrived. I noticed a couple came in around that 30 minutes time. They received their order in 10 minutes. The manager came to our table soon after and apologized saying there was a mixup with our order and it was coming right out. 10 minutes after that a couple that came 40 minutes after our arrival got their food. We waited 10 more minutes after that (20 minutes after the manager came to the table) and left. There is no reason for this to happen. It's obvious why Red Lobster is having financial difficulties. read more

The food is always consistent. I've visited Red Lobster for most of my life. Used to be affordable but economy is ruining the entire eating out experience! If I want a seafood meal I do frequent this one but if I'm really wanting something special I don't. The last time I was there I got lobster and it was like eating a tire... very overcooked and rubbery. I'm usually safe with broiled flounder, shrimp scampi, or fish and chips. I used to like their baked potatoes but they are not the same. The salad is usually fresh, just not much to it. The service is usually acceptable. Every now and then a server has a personality and is efficient. I get the definite impression from most they don't want to be there. The decor is typical Red Lobster and it's usually clean. Today I bought Red Lobster for lunch/dinner. T-Mobile Tuesday provided 2 free appetizers and Red offered drinks for enrolling in the rewards program. I placed my order online and attempted to redeem the drink reward, but was charged anyway. I ordered the fried flounder and lobster pizza for my free app. When I went in to pick up my order, I discussed being charged for drinks that I redeemed my rewards. Initially, I was told they could not do anything about this mistake. I asked to speak with a manager. My food was brought out and everything was correct. I was eventually refunded money for the drinks. The drinks were great. The flounder was overcooked and my pizza was cold. I had to warm up my pizza to eat it. The baked potato was good. read more

The food was great but the prices were way too high. My main complaint on the food was the new strawberry bliss cheesecake. It was an extra dollar for the strawberry SAUCE clearly shown in the picture, $10.99 vs $9.99 for plain. I got one unripe cut up strawberry, not a sauce, and it wasn't fresh and somewhat dry on the outside. The least they could do is give me a GOOD strawberry. Although I still enjoy the occasional trip to Red Lobster, they have made a lot of changes. Gone is the choose two lunch special, which was always my favorite. Many new additions to the menu such as sandwiches, bowls, and daily specials. On my most recent visit our server was polite, but it was a while after food arrived before he checked on us and I had to flag another server down to ask for tartar sauce. My friend had ordered salmon and mashed potatoes, and I have never seen such a tiny side dish! I'm sure I will return, but I do miss the old Red Lobster menu. read more

I was not impressed with our trip to Red Lobster. I can tell you having my mother show up with my sister, her husband and their three children didn't help. The original plan was my mother, sister and I, but I digress. So there ended up being 4 adults and 3 children. We were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait, which was fine. I got a cocktail at the bar. We finally got seated and it took our server over 5 minutes to get to our table. Now, when I was serving and I saw a table like that, I wasn't super excited either. Kids are messy, demanding and their parents don't tip well. She took our drink orders and it took another 10 minutes to get the drinks. I expected that for my cocktail, but not on cups of water. Our server then left for another 10 minutes to grab my cocktail, which I desperately needed to help deal with the fam. Our server finally took our order. I ordered the tuna poke and just a side scallop and shrimp skewers. She then told me it was going to be more expensive just to get the 2 skewers and I would be better off getting the admirals feast. (I have some concerns about that, but I am not trying to argue . Let's get this dinner over with). We order food and Waited and waited and waited. The server brought out biscuits. Then we waited longer for my soup and everyone else's salads. The toddler was super cranky and I gave her my crackers cause that is what everyone expects you to do when you have crackers and a cranky toddler. The 10 year old and the 5 year old start complaining that they are hungry and where is their food. (Look kid, I have no idea either) it took 45 minutes to get our food. I never got my tuna poke. I got the admiral's feast and ate the scallops but that was it. This dinner was $30. How is that cheaper than just a skewer?!? I was tired after this dinner. It is now after 9pm (we got seated at 7:20) I didn't argue with the server about being charged for the tuna poke I never received, but my bill alone was $60 and some change. I get it I ordered a cocktail. Those aren't cheap, plus the $30 fish feast that I didn't eat, the up charge for the soup, the appetizer I didn't eat. This all adds up, but combine this with poor service, slow service and not the best company, I am not impressed. The lesson learned is that it is just not worth going to Red Lobster. read more

This was my first time at this location... RL is one of my regular haunts and thus I suggested it for our girls' day out. We got seated veryyyy quickly! Our server was amazing .. so sweet n friendly. We ordered: shrimps (appetizer), the New Orleans platter, fish tacos and hand battered fish n chips. The NOP came with broccoli n sweet potato casseroles and this was really good! I got the lunch special 4 course feast on Thursday for $15.00. Comes with a choice of soup, salad, entree, Dessert. I ordered a caperese salad which was a $2.49 and the lobster bisque soup was $1.00. This review deals with more of placing an order while getting gift cards. I had placed an order for a lobster entree online and I went to the restaurant to take advantage of a buy $50 worth of gift cards and get a $10 voucher. The tasks were done fast, BUT the bartender did not know that I had not paid for the order. I had to tell him that I needed to pay for it off the gift cards I had purchased. Do not know if there has ever been a problem with honesty, but this needs to be checked. Make sure that all orders are paid for when they are given, especially when placed online. read more

My service was great and the food was okay at the time I was eating it but I always feel ill after eating here. This review is regarding their new appetizer and seasonal cocktails. They have a list of seasonal cocktails right now and I can't tell you the names of all of them, but the two we tried were DELIGHTFUL! The (frozen) Cranberry Margarita came out slightly pink with a mini candy cane in it. Cute! Guys, don't be afraid to order what could be considered a girly-looking drink. It.Is.DELICIOUS! Also, the Spiced Southern Punch. The description reads: "Southern Comfort and Fireball whiskey, mixed with mango and passion fruit juices for a cinnamon-sweet seasonal treat." It tastes slightly fruity with an incredible spice that is so delicious without being overwhelming. It also comes in a cool lighthouse glass that you can take home! They have a new Crab Stuffed Shrimp Rangoon. There is a layer of creamy Rangoon style filling atop of butterflied shrimp, coated in small wonton crumbs, and served with a sweet chili sauce that has a little bit of heat. They were SO GOOD!! I live out of state half of the year so whenever I'm in Lexington I always order a family size clam chowder to take back with me to North Carolina. Was trying to order online tonight and could not get it to go through so I called in. Sat on hold forever and when the girl finally answered she informed me that since it was 9:03 PM and they close at 9:30 she could not take my order for soup and cheddar biscuits! Visited on Labor Day for the first day of endless shrimp! Food- Like always the food is good. The options for the endless shrimp are pretty standard like shrimp scampi, pasta, fried but this year they offered grilled shrimp with Korean BBQ glaze or sriracha. The Korean glaze was really good, I didn't try the sriracha as I don't like spicy. Service- Had a pretty cool server believe his name was chris, he was also the bartender so sometimes it would take a little longer for refills for endless shrimp but we were not in a hurry. He took care of all our needs even when he was busy making drinks. Also when we got our bill there was an error and he fixed the issue with no problem. read more

The restaurant was not crowded so we were seated quickly. This is a chain restaurant, but we have had good experiences at this location and the other location in Lexington. Today was no different! Our waiter was excellent. We had an elderly member w a facial bone fracture w limited ability to eat. Our waiter was excellent with him choosing appropriate items to eat. We ordered soft drinks and tea and they were refreshed when needed. The biscuits were hot and delicious. The salads were very good with an appropriate amount of dressing. We all ordered different items and the were all very good! My salmon with soy ginger sauce was amazing! The stuffed mushrooms are always delicious. My stepdad got some form of lightly fried fish (pollack, I believe) and my mom got a feast of fried fish, scallops, clams, and I don't know what else!! It was all very good. The brownie with ice cream and fudge sauce was to die for. It tasted kind of like walnut fudge, but warm! We will be back!! As a chain I love Red Lobster! It is one of my favorite go-to spots. But this location has disappointed me more than once. Our last visit the table was sticky and grimey. The menus definitely had not been cleaned in a while. Additionally there was no longer the cloth napkins and silverware. We received single paper napkins and plastic. I was horrified. Also they seated us at a table by the bar (not a big deal) but then they kept letting customers who were waiting on tables go to the bar for drinks and congregate. There were so many people at one point that my chair and table were being knocked and bumped. The waitress rarely came by our table and acted as if she didn't have time for us. No one seemed to care! Most consistently good seafood chain that's not on the beach. Every other place seems to have good days and bad. Red lobster is always great. Lobster and crab always easily removed from shell.
