Today I bought Red Lobster for lunch/dinner. T-Mobile Tuesday provided 2 free appetizers and Red offered drinks for enrolling in the rewards program. I placed my order online and attempted to redeem the drink reward, but was charged anyway. I ordered the fried flounder and lobster pizza for my free app. When I went in to pick up my order, I discussed being charged for drinks that I redeemed my rewards. Initially, I was told they could not do anything about this mistake. I asked to speak with a manager. My food was brought out and everything was correct. I was eventually refunded money for the drinks. The drinks were great. The flounder was overcooked and my pizza was cold. I had to warm up my pizza to eat it. The baked potato was good.

I was not impressed with our trip to Red Lobster. I can tell you having my mother show up with my sister, her husband and their three children didn't help. The original plan was my mother, sister and I, but I digress. So there ended up being 4 adults and 3 children. We were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait, which was fine. I got a cocktail at the bar. We finally got seated and it took our server over 5 minutes to get to our table. Now, when I was serving and I saw a table like that, I wasn't super excited either. Kids are messy, demanding and their parents don't tip well. She took our drink orders and it took another 10 minutes to get the drinks. I expected that for my cocktail, but not on cups of water. Our server then left for another 10 minutes to grab my cocktail, which I desperately needed to help deal with the fam. Our server finally took our order. I ordered the tuna poke and just a side scallop and shrimp skewers. She then told me it was going to be more expensive just to get the 2 skewers and I would be better off getting the admirals feast. (I have some concerns about that, but I am not trying to argue . Let's get this dinner over with). We order food and Waited and waited and waited. The server brought out biscuits. Then we waited longer for my soup and everyone else's salads. The toddler was super cranky and I gave her my crackers cause that is what everyone expects you to do when you have crackers and a cranky toddler. The 10 year old and the 5 year old start complaining that they are hungry and where is their food. (Look kid, I have no idea either) it took 45 minutes to get our food. I never got my tuna poke. I got the admiral's feast and ate the scallops but that was it. This dinner was $30. How is that cheaper than just a skewer?!? I was tired after this dinner. It is now after 9pm (we got seated at 7:20) I didn't argue with the server about being charged for the tuna poke I never received, but my bill alone was $60 and some change. I get it I ordered a cocktail. Those aren't cheap, plus the $30 fish feast that I didn't eat, the up charge for the soup, the appetizer I didn't eat. This all adds up, but combine this with poor service, slow service and not the best company, I am not impressed. The lesson learned is that it is just not worth going to Red Lobster.

This was my first time at this location... RL is one of my regular haunts and thus I suggested it for our girls' day out. We got seated veryyyy quickly! Our server was amazing .. so sweet n friendly. We ordered: shrimps (appetizer), the New Orleans platter, fish tacos and hand battered fish n chips. The NOP came with broccoli n sweet potato casseroles and this was really good! The tacos were not bad though the fish was a tad bit undercooked. The fried fish n chips were horrible! Overall nice but not fantastic :(

I got the lunch special 4 course feast on Thursday for $15.00. Comes with a choice of soup, salad, entree, Dessert. I ordered a caperese salad which was a $2.49 and the lobster bisque soup was $1.00. The desert was good a brownie with ice cream and sauce. I have never eaten at the one in Hamburg before but I liked the atmosphere.

My start is a little disappointing. Menu is limited. Out of two things I asked for. Just not what I was hoping to drive this far to get out.

We usually eat at a different Ramsey's location, but this was closer to where we were. The atmosphere, service, and food were just as good as the other locations we've visited so we were not disappointed! We had a short wait for a table when we arrived, and I saw a table of women enjoying the espresso martini that I ended up ordering and enjoying. After starting with the Loaded House Salad with blue cheese dressing, the chicken livers were calling my name, along with mashed potatoes & gravy, with green beans. Hubby also had the Loaded House Salad, but with ranch dressing, fried chicken breasts, macaroni & cheese, green beans, and a corn stick. They were out of the sugar free peach pie so we skipped dessert, but we both brought home leftovers to enjoy for lunch on Saturday. Ironically our server Hannah is usually at the location we visit most frequently, so we will look for her the next time we're in that neighborhood.

It came with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion as well as sour cream. Personally, Im just a traditional mushroom and Swiss guy, but I did add the pickles. Nothing against adding lettuce and tomato, but its just not for me on a mushroom swiss (a regular burger is a different story!) The bison meat had a slightly different taste and I really loved the flavor of it. Probably one of the juiciest burgers that I have had in a while, so I am going to attribute that to the bison meat. For a limited time, they have fried corn as a side item. The corn was bi-color and had a rich buttery flavor with parmesan cheese and a slight amount of spice with cayenne pepper and jalapeño cooked in it. If you like fried corn (who doesnt?), then this is for you! I could have had another side or two of that delicious corn! Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. She had a great knowledge of the menu. The price was good for a true gourmet burger. Just remember this is a quality bison burger, so the price will be reflective of that quality. The beef burger is $21.50, and the Bison burger was $23.75 -- including one side item. But we'll worth the experience. If they dont have the corn, try thier onion rings. They looked delicious!

Definitely a Lexington favorite! The food is also delicious. Bison burgers are my go to but there's…read morelots of equally delicious choices of beef, poultry, and fish. The wait was short and the food was excellent! They forgot to put the salsa on the side for my burger, but it was very good anyway. I'm really starting to enjoy burgers with eggs on them. The salad was enormous! I thought they made a mistake and brought me a $10.00 salad, but no. It was so huge I couldn't finish it, which was a shame because it was so delicious. For that reason I deducted one star from the review. The food was very good. The crab Rangoon roll hit the spot. Fried pickles were a very generous portion. Buffalo mini bites with fries were also good. Fantastic ranch. The waiter did spill some ranch on his finger and then proceeded to lick it off. That was a bit strange.

Southern Cookhouse features scratch-made dishes using local ingredients, a variety of burgers, pizzas, and classic Southern entrees. I started with the Chicken & Sausage Gumbo because I love soup and all soup-adjacent things. The gumbo had a good, rich flavor from the roux, with subtle heat and a sweet finish. The chicken had a nice flavor, a little saltiness, and it was tender. The Andouille sausage was cooked well and rounded out the flavor profile. The tomatoes and scallions added brightness and crunch. The rice had a few hard pieces, but overall it was good. I do want to mention that I did find a few chicken bones in the dish, just so people are aware. My wife tried the Dunwoody Cobb, made with Grilled chicken breast, boiled eggs, bacon, avocado, tomato, and blue cheese crumbles, with spring mix tossed in Dijon vinaigrette. The lettuce was crunchy and fresh. The bacon had a great salt level, crunch, and crispiness. The avocado added a creamy richness to each bite, while the tomato's acidity cut through the Dijon mustard's sweet and bitter notes. The star of the show was the salty, nutty, creamy blue cheese crumbles, which meshed well with all the other components. The chicken was cooked well and had good flavor, but it was dry. While I avoided it, my wife said the boiled egg was well-cooked and added it to the salad. I had the Nashville Hot chicken, which comes with spicy pickles, coleslaw & mayo on slider rolls with potato salad. The potato salad was mustard-and-mayo-based. The potatoes were soft but still offered some texture. The mustard and mayo balanced each other and added flavor. There were eggs in the potato salad, but they blended into the background and did not stand out. The sweet pickle relish added crunch and texture without being overly sweet. I'm not sure if it was made in-house or from a container; it was good nonetheless. The slider was fresh, soft, and nicely toasted. The slaw was medium-chopped, with a great mayo ratio and a good sweetness, tasting fresh, crunchy, and creamy without being so rich as to drown out the vegetables or the chicken. The pickle was not spicy, but a thick-cut bread-and-butter type with a little sweetness and a velvety, buttery flavor. The chicken was juicy, tender, and cooked well. The Nashville-style spices were mild to medium, just enough to know it was there but not so overpowering that it was all you tasted. It was not overly oily either, which often plagues sandwiches of this type. The entire sandwich worked well together. Southern Cookhouse has a full menu, but some items do rotate or are seasonal. The bar is fully stocked, offering draft beer, tea, and soft drinks. They offer counter ordering, and the staff is very friendly. The Fat Man says that Southern Cookhouse & Bar is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.
