ordered the Mariners boil on New Years eve as PU $57 but was given the Sailors boil by mistake. Theres a $20 difference in the 2. Luckily the manager knew the mistake and offered to replace. So on a snow New years eve I went n got it. the dinners were mediocre at best! I ordered the Fish n chips. and a side of crab legs. It states the wild caught cod is hand breaded. Hand breaded where?? the fish stick factory?? by far the worst fish fry I have EVER eaten!! soggy, greasy, tasteless! The Cole slaw was the same! First time in more than 10 years, and I was reminded why I wasn't missing them. I had grilled mahi with broccoli and salad. Salad was good, but I guess you really can't mess it up. Mahi was over cooked and very dry. Broccoli was just too salty. We also had crab stuffed mushrooms and lobster dip. They were also rather salty - with the dip, it was probably with the chips. Bathroom was a wreck Waited for 90 mins for food. By the time it finally came out we were ready to leave and asked for boxes. I must say this was the best experience I've ever had with a waitress. We went in for my brother's birthday dinner and the glasses were dirty ( Nicky) was our waitress and when I tell you she was not happy that we werehaving a unpleasant experience. I ordered the Cajun chicken and my noodles were cold, Nicky went out of her way to fix my issue and was pleasant. Nicky turned my experience into a nice one and I'll return. Hey Skipper I will let you in on a secret. Shrimp is cheap. You get the endless Shrimp deal? $19.99 or $17.99 on Monday's. You would have to eat quite a bit of shrimp to get back your investment. Bring back them endless Crab legs suckers! Yeah I didn't think so. Shrimp is cheap and Red Lobster gets that bulk shrimp cheap! Eat and eat and eat or lose out on your investment. Steer clear of them biscuits my friend they will only slow you down. Red Lobster needs to offer endless Lobster or Crab legs! Forget the Shrimp. All in all pretty good food. About like Logans or texas roadhouse when it comes to the side items, fries, potatoes, that sort of thing. It's a chain restaurant so watch em and make sure they don't sock it to you! If you've been to a Red Lobster before, you know what you're getting: buttery biscuits, tasty seafood, and good service. This location is no exception. We have been here a few times at this location and am always impressed with the service. Waiters/waitresses go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. I remember one time when my steak came a bit undercooked. I shyly asked them to cook it a bit longer and, after bringing it back, it was still about the same. The third time, though, came perfectly cooked, re-plated, fresh side dishes, and the manager discounted the whole meal due to the inconvenience. I get it - mistakes happen and that's totally cool. Though, looking back, a potentially subpar experience became a memory that this place will take care of you. My favorite thing to do is split the steak and rock lobster with someone because the meal is overall not too expensive and the food tastes awesome! Overall, as far as Red Lobsters go, you get what you pay for - that's a good thing. And, at this place, I'm pretty certain you'll also be taken care of well. read more

Today we went to the Red Lobster in Muncie to celebrate my son getting his driver's license. When we walked in we were the only customers there on a Thursday. The waitress was Morgan. First off, I ordered the "Allotta Colada" and was served the regular pina colada. When I told the waitress that was not what I order she wanted proof of the drink from the online menu. I pulled it up and she asked to take my phone to the manager. Of course, that's a no. Then Jeremy, the general manager, came over to look at my phone. He had no idea that was even on the menu. He did look up the recipe card and served me what I ordered. We had to ask the waitress for cheddar biscuits, because she did not bring any to the table. We also had to flag her down for drink refills. She never took any of the dirty dishes off the table so we had to pile them up. I had to ask her twice for boxes, because the first time we asked she didn't bring enough. This was the first time we have felt ignored at any dining experience. Morgan needs to be more attentive and do better if she wants to be a good waitress. Also the woman's bathroom had a horrible smell that made me nauseous. Smelled like the pipes backed up. read more

Food: I will have to be honest. Lobster pizza from the appetizer menu -- best choice, a must try! Delicious delicious! King crab legs -- be cautious before you decide to order this -- there are millions of spines on the legs and it's difficult to crack the legs up using the cracker because the shell became very soft after boiling, but the spines were still hard and solid! Tried to use app for reservation and it did not work. I then called the restaurant and told it would be 40 minutes, no problem. Waited additional 20minutes only after checking with the host who probably don't know her head from a hole in a ground and got training from the on duty manager who is no better. Waitress has been a awesome and we could not have asked for better. However I can't believe they seated us at an 8 person table for the two of us. I had the Ultimate feast lobster surf and turf. What you see on tv should be sort of what you get. Not here. I got a lobster tail that was small and felt like I had to use a jack hammer just to get the meat out. Recently we received a Gift Card for Christmas from a relative for Red Lobster. My wife had the Breaded Shrimp and I had the Seafood Platter. I will start with the Breaded Shrimp which we both had. It was not what I or the wife expected. The Shrimp was extremely limp and rather soggy even the breading was tasteless. I have never had Breaded Fried Shrimp that was this tasteless. The Garlic Biscuits were excellent and the dinner salad was very good also. The Garlic Shrimp Scampi was very good also. The White Fish was tasteless and not really good. The Broccoli was very good also. Overall we were rather disappointed with the meal. One other thing we found really disappointing it that the meal already had a 18% Tip added without our knowledge. I usually tip around $ 5.00 to $ 10.00 or more depending on the cost of the meal and depending on the service. I will admit that the service was very good but I would have appreciated if I was given the opportunity to tip myself considering I also gave the server a tip on top of the tip that was added to our meal. I mainly felt bad because my wife have a bad meal, at least some of mine were decent. Restaurants should never automatically put a tip on a customers bill. I probably will not be back at Red Lobster. Once again the server was excellent so I did not say anything about the bill having the automatic tip added, it was not the servers fault. If companies such as Red Lobster would pay their servers a decent wage it would no doubt be better. I will probably not be recommending Red Lobster unless the quality of their food vastly improves. read more

(Resteraunt Review: Red Lobster Muncie Indiana) I ate at Red Lobster the other night with my family. It took awhile with wait times but that's to be expected. When we sat down I ordered a fantastic alcoholic beverage. When the food arrived I was set up with Snow Crab, a Lobster Tail, some shrimp In butter, and deep fried breaded jumbo shrimp. The best part was the crab, the flavors were delicious and it was quite juicy. The lobster was also pretty good, a slight char on it. But when I got to the shrimp things began to fall apart. The shrimp was rubbery and bland and didn't add anything to the experience, and the breaded Jumbo shrimp tasted like straight salt. In fact the salt was so overpowering It was all I tasted when I bit into one. It's a shame because honestly the Crab and Lobster were insanely good. So due to some oversalted Shrimp and longer wait times I'm gonna give this Resteraunt a 4 Star rating. Still a great place to eat, just don't go for the Shrimp. Honestly if you want good Shrimp go to Applebee's, their Bourbon Chicken Street Shrimp will leave you smiling ear to ear. read more

My most recent experience was such a let down. I ordered Walts fried Shrimp and Scallops with a Ceasar Salad. The salad was all yellow romaine, wilty, and the croutons were hard as rocks. I got maybe a dozen limp fries. The shrimp was alright, just not too crispy. The scallops on the skewer were covered with grey soot and were very unappetizing. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in a while, and I definitely haven't been to the Red Lobster in Muncie in a looooong time. I grew up in New Castle and we used to come to Muncie for shopping and if we got to eat lunch at Red Lobster you knew it was a good day. Cheddar Bay Biscuits? Popcorn Shrimp? Yum. Now that I'm not longer a child, I didn't know if the Muncie Lobster would have as much of a pull for me as it used to. My mom and I spent a long day shopping and were hungry so we thought we'd give it a try for old times sake (aw). Our waitress was super friendly and efficient (she kept my water glass full at all times which is a huge feat for me!). We ordered the 4-course feast for $15.99 because we were, as the title says, ready to feast. It came with soup, salad, entree with 2 accompaniments and a dessert. Whew! I left Red Lobster.... no, I more rolled out of Red Lobster very full and very happy. I got coconut shrimp as my entree and it was so good! I added broccoli and a baked potato as my sides. The broccoli was a little buttery for my tastes, but hey who really cares. As long as I'm eating a Cheddar Bay Biscuit I'm gonna be okay in the end. I got a spicy chicken tortilla soup as my soup, the house salad for my salad, and the key lime pie for my dessert. Overall, I'd say that my childhood memories serve me right. INstead of going back for more I looked up which RL had the best reviews in INdiana. You know when youve a 4.5 rating with over 725 reviews on Google you are surely doing something right. We were: Greeted upon passing the front door Greeted with a drink request within 2 minutes Order taken a little chit chat all good and pleasant. Order endless shrimp, salads, with asparagus and baked potato. The shrimp was HOT! Tasty, right out of the kitchen. The salads were perfectly chilled. The potato was right out of the oven. Everything was as it should be, what we expected to be served, perfection. The server I overheard her saying she loved her job had been there many years. I could tell. It is obvious she has a love for people and perfectly prepared food. She was amazing! During our discussion I let her know why we were there and how far we had driven to visit. I wanted seafood, and it was to far to drive to get to Florida, so in we went to the "Big Red Crab" as my son used to call it. This month they are featuring shell fish entrees. We had a terrible visit on our last visit to this Red Lobster. First we waited over an hour for a table, on a Wednesday. They were not that busy. When we finally were taken to our table in the back, there were 3 large tables that had not been cleared. We had our 3 yr old grandson with us and ordered the Mac n cheese with fries. I swear it was Kraft and it and the fries were cold. Yes it was 5.99. And, it comes with milk or juice. But, they were out of milk, they were out of juice except pineapple and cranberry. What kid drinks those juices. Guess as long as the bar was stocked it was ok. My coconut shrimp was just ok. Outback has by far the best coconut ship in town. The other meals served were just Ok. And during all this we get to stare at the still not cleaned off tables next to us. Thank Just what we want to look at while eating a poor dinner and paying a high bill. Frustrating. Then I received my lobster bisque and it was cold. And VERY thick. Terrible. And the service was very slow.
