We were looking for a good dinner late night after 9pm. We arrived from out of town for a wedding & this location was very close to our hotel. We walked in and noticed how clean the restaurant was. I am very disappointed in the soup I was given, I ordered the Lobster Bisque soup and once it was given to me I went in for a taste and it was like someone put lobster powder in heavy cream. And when I asked my server what was in the Cajun Chicken Linguini Alfredo he just said the name which was not satisfactory to my needs. I took my son here for a surprise birthday dinner. The service was horrible. The waitress dropped the drinks. I thought to myself...everyone makes mistakes sometimes. But, it took her over an hour to bring back the drinks she dropped. I noticed she kept swaying, moving slow and asking me the same questions over and over. Out food came 2 1/2 hours after our arrival and she dropped the plate and almost hit my nephew in the head with it. She also dropped another dish after that. The orders weren't complete and she didn't bring one of my sons food out at all. The manager was aware of her terrible service and that she kept dropping things because he came over to help clean it up. I complained to the manager and he finically sent her home. My bill had alcoholic beverages on there...I didn't ordered or drink and a bunch of added crab legs we didn't order or eat. The manager took them off and discounted my meal but, it didn't make up for my son's birthday dinner being ruined. I was so upset I didn't eat. I don't know if she was under the influence of narcotics or alcohol but, she definitely was under the influence. I do not recommend this restaurant. read more

totally adore this red lobster!! have been going here since the past couple of years, and their service has been top notch. i must say i mostly sit at the bar. they have one of the best bartenders i have come across in the Delaware area. i actually rate my Tangueray Gin martini at all places against the one 2 of the bartenders make here. Both folks are epic.. i am unable to recall their names .. will update later. Their food is always fresh, hot and delicious. the drinks are spot on. the bartenders really know their craft. their biscuits are yumm and i totaly crave for their warm chocolate chip lava cookie, that they almost always cook to perfection. i have tried this dessert at some other branches of red lobster too and they find ways to mess it up. but not this branch. their other food items are also very delicious.. lobster pizza, ultimate feast, etc.. if it wasnt so cold outside, i would have had my dinner there today... if they can change anything, they should keep the place open at least 1 more hour! read more

Came in on a Saturday night, was told 10 minutes wait...not bad at all. That's where the good news ends. We were seated, waitress came over right away and took drink order...came back quickly with our water and soda. Coke was flat. Trash on floor. Never came back with the bread and we waited 20 minutes for an appetizer that never came...so we left. Which we NEVER do...on our way out the host didn't even acknowledge that we were leaving, they just said 'oh, sorry' (very insincere) when we told them no one came back. This was the worst experience I have ever had at the Red Lobster near Christiana Hospital in Newark Delaware. Everyone was terrible, from the manager to the host as well as the waiter (brown skinned male, with a mustache and a man bun - but no name tag). First of all, the host told us it was a 30 minute wait.. When I came back 15 minutes later and asked how much longer, he told me 30 minutes again. So, i said it was actually 45 minutes? And he said yes. After we were seated, the waiter was non-attentive and was not engaged. He messed up our order (we did not get our fries or our additional shrimp scampi) and then disappeared. I was uncomfortable asking for things because I could not find him and when he was present it was with a definite attitude. He gave the impression that he did not want to help us. He was even slow getting us a box so we could leave... He did smile when we were walking out. It appeared that the manager knew what was going on but did nothing to intervene. I don't recommend going to Red Lobster on a Saturday night. The staff is not prepared or capable. read more

Haven't seen my sister in law since COVID and decided to go a well established restaurant. The nice hostess (Victoria) sat us immediately and our servers April and Jules. We learned Jules was in training but she handled our table like a PRO. Note this review is based only on Customer Service. This by far was an experience in itself. Never walked out of an restaurant due to delayed service but felt the need. After arriving, I was promptly greeted and attended to, however while I'm waiting I am assuming the biscuits will be served. But nope okay no prob then the waiter at least on the surface was nice asked if I would like the salad to arrive before the appetizer so I further indicated its okay to bring out both. About 20 mins floats by and nothing no salad, app, or biscuits. The only thing I was left with is water. I glanced over to two ladies whom arrived 5 minutes after me and didn't place their order (salad, and same app) yes I have good ears; heard everything as they were seated @ the bar. Any who, they didn't place their order until about another 5 mins after they've arrived. What took me by surprised is that their order arrived before mine. All I can hear was crunching echoing from their end as they were munching heavy so again I glanced over only to notice they have their salad and app same app I ordered in front of them. So I'm internally thinking where is mine as it doesn't take 20 mins to prepare already made grocery store bought salad.. and if the waitress moved quick enough my app would not have went to a diff location. The waitress, I believe her name is Stephanie who knows did not come back with any starters.. she disappeared. This irked the S** out of me as my stomach was beginning to bloat due to hunger. Did she think the "water" would have held me over??? So guess what my butt left before she could serve me (probably would have created some lame story alluding to how the app was burnt so it was "sent" back to the kitchen) and went home to Jersey to the Red Lobster I frequent. My gut in all honesty referenced silently not to go to this Red Lobster but because I left work early, out of convenience went and also the no sales tax was an incentive. This serves my cheap butt right as it didn't even work out. Surprisingly, but not really as my fav Red Lobster served my starters no lie within 5 mins after being seated. So I never really way here but it's what my kids decided to get me for Mother's Day. They ordered through Grubhub or one of those delivery services. Obviously with the pandemic & it being Mother's Day we expected a longer wait BUT when the food did get here it was ice cold! The driver left the store & came right to my house (about a 7-10 minute ride) so the food was never even properly cooked. Worst restaurant experience ever, and I eat out a lot! When my little sister said she wanted to go to Red Lobster for her birthday dinner, I immediately began to manage my expectations, but nothing could have prepared me for tonight's experience. Upon arrival, the place is packed and we were told there was a hour wait. Sure no problem. One of the 3 hostesses puts my name and phone number in the little i-pad like deal and says they will call when my table is ready. I go wait out in my car for about 30 minutes, then I go back into the restaurant to wait in the lobby when there is a place to sit. Around the hour mark, I inquire about my place on the list. According to hostess number 2, I am not on the list. At this point, I stop hostess number 1 to remind her that she is the one that took my name and should have placed me on the wait list. After some discussion among themselves,( and 15 more minutes) they decide to just go ahead and seat my party of 3. So we are finally at a table and someone should come and take our order, right? NOPE! The table behind us, the table in front of us and the table be side us were all being served by three different staff members. NOT ONE of those 3 individuals ever came our way. Just kept walking past, wouldn't even look at us. Mind you , these tables aren't far apart. We were impossible to miss. But we were ignored. After 25 minutes, I went and grabbed a random kid bussing tables and asked if he could send someone to our table. No one ever showed. Thoroughly pissed, I did not trust my patience to speak to management, so I grabbed the two kids I was with and left. I got to Red Lobster at 6:30 and left 8:30 without so much as a glass of water. I don't mind waiting for a table for dinner on a Saturday night. What I do mind is being lost in the fray and then subsequently ignored and having two hours of my time wasted with two hungry teenagers. Service of that caliber is simply unforgivable. read more

Red Lobster used to be great when I was a kid, what the heck happened? It's sad when you order fish from a nearby steak place because its better then a restaurant that is supposed to specialize in seafood. Also the consistency of their food prep is horrendous. On one occasion I ordered shrimp tacos which were packed w/ about 6 shrimp per taco. Two weeks later same dish ordered and I had 1 taco w/ 1 shrimp and 2 tacos w/ 2 shrimp each. The restaurant resolved the issue by giving me two grilled shrimp skewers on my next dine in visit instead of giving me a comped meal-obviously I'm not impressed. On a more recent occasion 4 of my coworkers ordered Sailors Platters for lunch take out and each got a different amount and different level of seasoning on the fish. Are the lobsters doing the cooking back there or what?! What good things can I say hmmm, like the shrimp tacos (when properly shrimped), love the cheddar biscuits and they probably have one of the best blue cheese salad dressings around. read more

I think Red Lobster is getting worse in food or it is just this location or we ordered the worse food. The chicken and shrimp is loaded with greasy, fatty oil and mushy mashed potatoes. To add to insult, I was disappointed that my partner ordered Admiral Feast, all fried seafood. What can I eat now? The only thing that is my favorite is the good, unlimited cheese biscuits. You mean I have to wait for this crap! Typical of most Red Lobster is the long wait. My wife and my kids 1yr old and 2 yr old have been watching the commericals which got us in the mood to go. This was and will be the last time we go. It took is 20 minutes just to get table and there was at least 10 tables open. We saw mostly elderly customers while dining..well trying to. It took another 20 minutes just to get our order for appetizers and drinks. The service was very long and irritating. The food is ok..but we could had the experience at Mcdonalds. Never asked for refills, checked if food was good, basically didn't care. At the end..they forgot our biscuits which we asked for to go...that too another 20 min. To retrieve. This place is the worst in the state. My boyfriend and I had a date night and wanted red lobster. We arrived, it was not really busy, we stood at the hostess counter for 10 minutes with no greeting, and 3-5 employees walked by with no hello, no interest in sitting us or assisting us. The manager finally came and said have you been helped, we said no, we've been here for 10 minutes. She said oh, called someone on her earpiece and said we have guests, grabbed menus and said we'll seat you shortly. I was already irritated at the disrespect and lack of customer service, we told her we were leaving she said oh ok with an attitude. Unbelievable and disgusting. They need to wipe out the staff and do some serious I house cleaning. They need training and to not leave the front of the store unattended! I won't recommend this location to anyone ever! We sat down for 10 minutes before our drink order was taken. We ordered our drinks and had to wait another 10 minutes before we got them. Then, we found out that they were out of bread. We had a wait for that. What Red Lobster runs out of bread. I ordered some crab and then they told me they were out of the crab crushers(or whatever you call those things). They ran out of those? Don't get me wrong is wash't horrable just wasn't real good either. The wait staff seem to be stressed out with a lot of the running all around and not getting a lot done. Went on 1/3/15. I had the ultimate feast and substituted the lobster for scallops. Crabs were ok, scallops were hard and tasteless. Lack of flavor to the whole meal except the mashed potatoes with the lobster topping on it. Problem was that the waitress kept asking if we wanted different things such as the topping and never told us it cost extra. I was mad by the time I got my bill due to all the up charges made because of her suggestions. My wife had the 4 course meal. She got steak, salad and soup, but never got her dessert. I have been to this particular restaurant many times and I have to say, the food; service; environment is totally outdated. It needs a complete overhaul of staff, seating and presentation of its food. On top of that the pricing for their "luke warm" meals is waaay out of control. *please share in delaware* AVOID Red Lobster on Churchmans Road - Bad Service I went in on 3/19/16 at 3:28 pm to sit at the bar and order a salad and a dozen biscuits to go. The waitresses were nice, and took my order. I sent a text message to my wife, then read the news on my phone while I waited for my food. I only barely noticed the customer who sat down two stools away and ordered a full meal. I did notice when he was served his full meal, including a salad and biscuits, before me. It happens. But that's when I noticed that I had been reading the news on my phone for 30 minutes! I continued to wait, another ten minutes later one of the nice waitresses happened by and told me that she would check on my food. I watched the guy near me eat for another five minutes with no response from the waitress, and I got up and left at 4:13 pm, having sat for 45 minutes and been served nothing. Even that's not so bad! I went to Wawa to get a (great) sandwich and got home at 4:43 pm. I called the Red Lobster and asked for the manager, and was asked "Why?" When I responded that I was a customer and would like to speak to the manager, the person who answered the phone held it away from her ear and said to someone nearby "He's very angry and wants to speak to a manager" and the said to me "we have many managers here, why do you want to speak to one?" I responded "I'm not angry. I'd like to speak to the manager because I asked to." An incredibly rude person then got on the phone and demanded my name. I responded "I'd like to speak to the manager please", and the rude person again demanded my name. I said: "your refusal to connect me with the manager will be part of my review." I should not have to explain to rude Red Lobster employees that the correct response is "Certainly sir, I'll put (him/her) on right away" or "I'm sorry sir, but (he/she) is not available, is there some way I may help you?" I urge all to avoid this Red Lobster, and consider the many nice restaurants nearby instead. read more

Hadn't been to Red Lobster in many years, so I kept my expectations low. I was surprised how generous the portions were and how good the food was. The calamari appetizer was great, the stuffed mushrooms were okay. I got the Lobsterfest Surf and Turf, which was very well done and delicious, which I honestly didn't expect. My fiancé got fried clams, scallops, shrimp and fish with a grilled lobster tail. Super yummy and not greasy. The waitress Deja was absolutely delightful. The only down sides were the other guests and the ambiance, but that's what you get in a small town. Definitely going back to try the desserts and more entrees. read more

Everyone obviously has different opinions, but I am surprised to see so many low ratings. Personally, Red Lobster has always been one of my favorite chain restaurants. I usually get the Seaside Shrimp Trio which has creamy shrimp alfredo, Walt's favorite shrimp (breaded shrimp), and shrimp scampi. I crave it all the time! I've also had the Admiral's Feast which has Walt's favorite shrimp, scallops, clam strips and flounder, which are all fried. Also DELICIOUS. I love Red Lobster. read more
