I visited Red Lobster on 9500 Southwest Hwy, Oak Lawn, IL. last Saturday to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. Little did I know that I was about to experience the WORST food service EVER! I have frequented many restaurants in my day, but this particular restaurant has brought new meaning to unprofessional and downright sloppy service and food preparation. The bathrooms were horrible and smelly, no toilet paper in all but 1 stall, not to mention the extremely rude waitress that "served" my husband and daughter, I use the word served very loosely. Our food was practically thrown in front of us, and we were left on several occasions for 30 minutes or more without her so much as looking in our direction as she passed by, angry at the world it seemed. Our appetizer was undercooked, and our main course was over cooked, dry and disgusting. I have had better treatment and service at fast food establishments! Should you ever be in the Oak Lawn area in Illinois, looking for great seafood, this is not the place you would want to go to, trust me. do yourself a favor, save yourself the frustration, DRIVE PAST Red Lobster on 9500 Southwest Highway!!!! The entire experience was horrible! First there was an extremely long piece of hair in my friend's soup so we sent that back for a new one. Then we ordered the same exact dish however mine came out completely different so we had to send that back. After waiting so long for a new entrée I decided to take my food to go. Horrible Experience! It's been over a year since my last visit to the restaurants now I see why. When I arrived we were seated at our table waited for 15minutes before the server approached our table. Not once did she say hello but what can I get for you, we placed our order with Jocelyn C did not write anything down. During the entire visit not once did she return to the table to see if we need anything, it took her 15mins to bring our salads after I reminder her to bring the salads; then being ask what did you have? Two minutes later my food arrived which was wrong. Get this how can a restaurant that severs Crab Legs run out of shell crackers, she offered me a fork. What a horrible experience I will never return to Red Lobster in Oak Lawn. The server Jocelyn C should not ever work in the service industry that is not her specialty. read more

All I can say is we will be contacting their corporate office because of how we were treated largely in part of the manager who was purposely overriding the servers who tried to assst us. He was so arrogant and very unaccommodating that I had to walk out of that place. Corporate will hear from us. read more

My experience at this red lobster was so bad it forced me to create an account. Let's just say the demographic here is, we'll, interesting. I honestly thought I was going to get shot. Oak Lawn in general has really gone downhill lately I would say within the past five years. You can't walk into this red lobster without it being extremely crowded. The food is horrendous. The food is also very expensive for what you get I would not recommend going to this red lobster anytime soon. read more

We walked and were greeted rudely. We were seated immediately, but no waiter or waitress ever came. We then got someones attention and let them know that no one ever came to assit us. He said okay one second, and just continued doing what he was doing. We eventually just walked out after about 30 minutes. Extremely disappointed. read more

I took my friend to this Red Lobster for her birthday on 4/10 for the lobster fest since she had not eaten Red Lobster in a while. We arrived around 8:00pm for the Lobster Fest. I think the waiter was new. He had very little personality and was extremely slow with only 3 tables. We place the order and the food arrives. She orders the wood grilled lobster shrimp and salmon. I order the seaport lobster and shrimp. She stated her lobster was not done. Well as for me; the wood grilled shrimp were very dry, the lobster was dry and crunchy, both of our rice was hard (the waiter even mentioned the rice looked terrible) and I had the string beans with mushrooms (no season at all). The waiter did bring us an extra order of fresh rice, whoever he never asked if we needed anymore hot biscuits. The only reason I did not complain because it was my friends birthday and she knows me. BAD DINING EXPERIENCE!!! We will be deterred from returning to this RED LOBSTER due to the inferior service of the waiter by the name of Andrew E. We chose this restaurant to celebrate my sisters B-day. We opted to pick their promotional never endless shrimp. It was four people in our party. The waiter was very inattentive! Refills of the never endless shrimp for 4 people were very slow or just never came! The waiter constantly disappeared for long periods of time, Soft drink refills never came even after sitting there for more than 60 minutes with empty soft drink glasses, 5 biscuits for four people for the entire dinner? Really? I think other than being retrained; this waiter needs to learn common courtesy. We finally had enough of this waiter that we summoned a Manager, promptly thereafter and just before leaving we received soft drink refills and a refill of biscuits. The check was close to $100 dollars and I had to debate how much tip I should leave? We usually tip 20% or more on exceptional service and 15% on OK service. I regretfully left a tip. And may I repeat I regretfully left a tip. ---well in a nutshell, I went with a date to this place that I hadn't visited in many years. The waitress was horrible, she seemed to favor the lady and not the man (me)!! When she got around to taking my order she was walking away before I could complete my last two items to order. Well the bisquits came on time, but after sorry a salad, we had to wait over 40 minutes before the wings arrived, 10 more before the main course arrived. When it came time for the check, (which I always pay) she turned toward my date and asked if we wanted separate checks!!! I had never experienced nothing like that before. Because the food entrees came so late, we had no appeties left to finiish our meals. So we asked for cartons to take the food home. The waitress took it upon herself to scrape the food off the plates into the cartons herself, which I thought was rather unsanitary, especially after she grabbed my fork from my plate and used it to do that job, which I would have like to do myself, which other RL's permit you to do. I was invited out by my nephew we were seated at 813 no one came to our table until 829 the waitress was shocked that we were sitting there and apologized for the wait she quickly took our orders i told here no tomatoes on the salad she returned quickly with salads and biscuits halfway through the salad my eyes began to itch and burn I looked at the bottom of the salad to find 8 tomato cubes that looked like the ones that go on tacos another waitress saw me and instructed me to drink water to flush and even though she was pregnant she ran to the back and brought me a cold compress our waitress never looked in our direction the other waitress requested for a manager he was a tall African American man he said he was going to the office to look for Benadryl and never returned I went to the washroom to rinse my eyes and he was standing at the host station and wouldn't even look me in the face when I left the washroom I returned to the table and requested the meals to go the waitress finally came to our table and told me the incident was my fault because I was not specific enough with my no tomato request the pregnant waitress was still checking on my breathing and my eyes the regular waitress apologized and told our meal was free and walked away the manager never came to apologize or check to see if I needed medical attention and as we were leaving he kept his eyes glued to the desk avoiding me completely and to top it off when we got home the shrimp were burnt and the fries were old and soaked in burnt grease I call the store and asked for the manager name and I was placed on hold and no one returned to the phone smh I disposed the meal and took my Benadryl and laid down pissed, I love red lobster but I will never return to that location read more

So my husband and I were trying to get out and have a nice time went to red lobster around 6 got seated right away got our drink right away. When we got our food I started getting up set had to flag down another waiter to get to get the tool to crack the lobster open. I moved some of my food around and found a hair in my food. I waited 10 mins till I saw our waiter again told her they got me a New plate. And asked her for more biscuits they never came asked again and got nothing final asked again and got them. Getting ready to leave asked for a dogie bag and check. The wait is started to pick up plates went to pick up the butter for my husbands lobster and she threw it on the plate as she picked up the plate the butter spilled all over my dress.at this point I'm already upset with the waited for the service we got so I talked to the manger walking out he was nice to a point said sorry and gave us a complete refund.
