Tuesday Oysters on the Half Shell
    Cort M.

OK, so I've seen a lot of reviews on this place over the years. I hadn't been in here since I was a kid. And I only had memories of this place. But man, the dollar oysters on Tuesdays all day is an absolute steal. The oysters were very good. And then I had the stuffed tilapia with red beans and rice. I got this on the lunch special for like $13. Plus, my dollar oysters. My bill at the end was unexpectedly cheap and I love that I ate good at lunch for a good prize. The stuff tilapia was so good. You see I love Cajun food. It's my number one choice right behind that is Mexican food so I judge Cajun food pretty tough. But they did their thing with this dish. The service was really good. My bartender was awesome. He made sure the vibe of the bar stayed up and I really appreciate that. I really enjoyed this place after all these years. Definitely coming back for their happy hour and more oysters.

Fun theme of Mardi Gras inside with unique decorations for New Orleans throughout restaurant. Staff fun friend and quick to serve. Food: delicious and well prepared. Gator bites were a little light for cost but overall good. Catfish was well prepared with light breading with good flavor. Overall worth a stop for food and conversation.

You will find this restaurant in Bricktown, in the shadow of the baseball stadium. This place has a tourist trap feel to it. They have their own private parking lot that is free for their patrons to park. The restaurant has a patio area in the front that overlooks the parking lot, a large bar area with televisions, an upper level dining area and a lower level dining area. The restaurant is decorated in New Orleans regalia. They had live music or karaoke going while I was there. I could not tell the difference I sat at a small table in the bar area. My server, who also happened to be one of the bar tenders, was very friendly. They serve cajun seafood including oysters, crawfish, gator, fish, clams, jambalaya, catfish gumbo and shrimp. They also have wings, pasta, poboys and steaks. They also had some good signature cocktails. Be on the lookout for the $5 ones. They have Hurricanes, Bloody Marys, and Mai Tais. I ordered half blackened gator, half fried gator with a side of cabbage. I got a pina colada, and a hurricane to wash my food down. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my food and it was just ok. The food was not very warm, there was not a lot of food. The gator looked like it came from the grocery store and was small. It also did not have a lot of flavor either. The cabbage was not much better. It was like lettuce. It did not have much taste and was much firmer than I use to. I lived in New Orleans for 10 years and this food was not even close to NOLA quality. I think that this place is overhyped and maybe I came in with too high of expectations. My drinks, however, were decent, and very reasonably priced. Well, this place was just "ok" for me. The food was edible, but I would definitely not be back for the food. I would possibly stop in for a drink or two though.

Food and service was amazing! The waiter was always on top of drink refills and very knowledgeable about the items in the menu.

Service, taste and atmosphere were all good. But portion sizes were a bit misleading. I ordered the shrimp bucket thinking there would be quite a few shrimp in it, turns out you only get 5 medium/large shrimp. So just be aware but I would come back to try something else.

Mike was my server and he did a wonderful job and very informative. I decided to have the Crab Cake Sliders. They were delicious. I highly recommend! Parking may be a problem since in Bricktown.

Great place for crab and seafood. Reasonable pricing. Mardi grass feel and decor. Old warehouse or factory building. Has the character and great music. Staff is not rushing and nice. Cocktails are good. Had a spicy threat. Was perfect! Alligator bites are tender and come with rice. Love that they give you option between fried and blackened or half and half. Crab cakes are pure crab. Crab boil is generous and fun eating from the table. Also they have a great option called Crab trash whish is just imperfect broken pieces of delicious crab with no sides.

The food was great and so was the atmosphere. This was the second time I've eaten here and I'll probably eat there again when I'm back in town.

This place has awesome fresh seafood (and healthy dining options including steamed veggies) and is also related to the Pearl's that is located in Nichols Hills. Located in Bricktown and a very spacious interior with a Southern, almost pirate ship vibe and feel. Service was also exceptional and attentive. Got the rainbow trout with lemon sauce, which was accompanied by rice pilaf and steamed broccoli (upon request). Their Boston clam chowder was also very good and tasty. Definitely recommend this place for the character of the interior alone!

So bland and missing the cajun sauces Headless shrimp sucks the head guts is the best part

Our hotel was nearby so we walked over for dinner The $1 oysters on Tuesdays all day is the best and $1.75 oysters during happy hour M-F The seafood boil is bland, basic and nothing compared to the original/authentic cajun seafood boil. No sauce, shrimp without heads, no lemon with salt/pepper and no bibs. Would only come back for the $1 oysters

Wax a fun place to have lunch. It's a big place with a big dining room and a fun bar to eat in as well. A lot of fried type foods. Plenty of seafood. Good chowder. It's a fun atmosphere with fun decore. It's large but feels cozy. Staff was good and our food was good.

Iamaree is a GREAT server!! Props to her!!

I've tried a few places on this journey to satisfy my craving but none have been able to compete with the Crawfish Pot. Their crawfish have been consistent in flavor, freshness, and affordability. I literally got crawfish from here every single day last week and it's been *chefs kiss* I've only ordered takeout/pickup but the dining space looks really clean inside. The staff are super sweet and quick service (like 10 mins for pickup when they open). I've tried the Don seasoning in various spice levels. Spicy is my favorite. When I get over this craving I shall try other things on the menu but for now, check out this place!

We just happened to be in the area a few weeks ago and I was craving some of their delicious catfish and greens. We stopped in, thinking we'd have to order off the menu since they got rid of the buffet post-covid, but we were pleasantly surprised when we were told that the buffet is back. The best part about the buffet is the fact that you can sample several things without committing to ordering an entire dish of it. That said, I tend to stick to my favorites. Their collard greens are fantastic. I also like the scalloped potatoes, red beans and rice, and the fried chicken. The catfish tenders are the absolute best and they are brought to your table as a complimentary item to have along with your meal. Trust me when I tell you that this is the best catfish ever. And they give you a delicious honey mustard dipping sauce to boot. Yes, honey mustard. Trust me, it works! I wish we could get over here more often, especially now that the buffet is back in action. My only complaint is that several of the dishes were empty when we arrived and they didn't get filled before we left. I got a smidgen of greens and was told that they'd be bringing out more, but that didn't happen before we had to leave, unfortunately. The staff are so kind and genuinely happy to have your business. The restaurant is very festive in New Orleans/Mardi Gras style. You have to check this place out. Your taste buds will thank you!
