Okay, I can't really say anything bad about this takeout order. My birthday is 4/1- a colleague gifted me a $50 GC so I decided to apply it towards my birthday lobster meal. (FYI: this is how I pay homage to my parents. As a child whenever we would go out to eat (weekly) - breakfast, lunch or dinner- I wanted and got lobster) enough of the mushy emotional bs... I decided to order red lobster. I order the lobster flatbread pizza, the Monday daily special, and the shrimp to share. I forgot to take a picture of the lobster flatbread. Lobster flatbread- pretty decent- It's Red Lobster! (No shade) but they need to do better... that was craw/crayfish Not lobster, barely any cheese or sauce(?) AGAIN, not bad Shrimp Trio- that shrimp Alfredo needed prayer, the shrimp scampi needs to be renamed to shrimp skimpy, the fried shrimp... decent! Welll. My fiancé and I went to red lobster to get a decent meal and it wasn't the best. I could tell they may have been short staffed but the cook must've been off because the food lacked its usual flavor. There was an incident but the manager there was nice about it and rectified the issue. The waitress was not attentive enough for me. I really wanted to give red lobster another chance since it is what I always cherish as a child but today fell short. I did curbside although they send a text no one pays attention to it so you still have to call. Thankfully, my food was brought out in a decent time. Now the food itself potatoes tasted instant you get two pieces of cod that looks like the Gordon fish that you get in the stores and tasted as such. The hush puppies were hollow and tiny and very salty and my beloved biscuits one was chewy and the other one was over baked. I'm not sure what type of tartar sauce they had, but it was not the best either. The Keylime pie was decent, but there was no whipped cream on it. We arrived at the restaurant, joined the waitlist at 7:50pm and was told there was a 30 minute wait. After 30 min we weren't notified. We went inside and were then told we had to wait another 30 min but I then told the employee we had already been waiting more than 40 min at that time. Where to start. I believe all the issues have to do with management and the lack of training. The entire restaurant is filthy. The service area just outside the restrooms is covered with food and standing water. The dining area had food debris everywhere. From what we were told, there was only one cook in the kitchen, and it showed in the length of time it took to get our food and the order of meal delivery. We had a small group of six plus one child. The food came out in no particular order. I got my steak and lobster first while others had to wait quite a while, even for an appetizer that came out last. My steak was cooked perfectly. The fantail fried shrimp were horrible. I don't think it was the cook's fault. I just think the product sucks. I really felt for our server who was doing his very best. We gave him a very good tip since he was so apologetic and genuine in his concern for our dining experience. He even gave us some key lime pies on the house to take home. The only problem is that when we got home, we found bugs in the pie crust. When you spend close to $400 for 6 people you expect more than this. Needless to say, we won't be back. We arrived at the restaurant a little after 7pm. No one at the desk. Stood there waiting and to our dismay no one came. We should have left then. I looked around the entire restaurant to find help and the only person on the floor was the bartender. I ask if they had a hostess. She went to get someone from the back. They came and acted as though they were doing us a favor to seat us. Very unfriendly. Leaves and we realize the table is dirty. Have to get them to come wipe table and food from the seat. Finally the bartender takes our order. The food was not hot and the Lobster I was given, I would have thrown in the garbage. It was a yellow color on top with black on the sides. It was very dry on top and very rubbery. The clam chowder was so thick when you pushed it back with a spoon it stayed there. By far the worst meal I've ever gotten at Red Lobster and probably my last meal there. So very disappointed because Red Lobster has always been one of my favorites. The manager obviously doesn't care about his or her restaurant. Tables everywhere not cleaned off. Very few customers as well. read more

I had UberEats to deliver because I was sick and my Son paid for me some food. I only ordered the 1/2 pound of Crablegs and butter and the 5 cheddar biscuits. Here are the pictures of my food. I have always had a good experience at the Southaven location as it relates to food and customer service. We actually ended up here because the Wolfchase area refused to accommodate us and I am glad we did. Everyone was friendly and the food was on point. I'm not sure if you know, but they have a different menu special each day. We went on a Monday and it was all you can eat shrimp day! I had several shrimp dishes. I had the scampi, battered, skewers, and more. For my side I had the bacon mac and cheese. Cool spot. This is for sure a location I'd visit again! read more

When the manager came out, he was defensive to the point of being combative. And he was being addressed by some of the kindest Christian people I've ever met! By the time she brought me the item I had actually ordered the other people at my table had finished their meal. The avocado was unappealing. The slaw was just dry cabbage, no dressing. The tortilla strips were stale. The onions were over pickled, they were not even advertised as pickled onions. The sour cream was missing. The ranch that is pictured on the side was dumped all over the shrimp, ruining the taste of the shrimp. It would have been better on the dry cabbage. The shrimp and rice were barely warm and the black beans were icy cold. A dish that had such promise was barely edible. Seating of my party was a breeze but after that it was slow and not so steady. Once all parties had arrived and after getting our drink orders it took our waiter a while to come back to check on us! No cheddar biscuits, no would you like to order any appetizers, nothing! When he finally decided to show, we placed all our orders together including appetizers. Once we received our food we still didn't get our cheddar biscuits, I finally asked if we could get some. That took about 30 minutes. No checking on us throughout or refills of our drinks. It does not surprise me that Red Lobster is having financial problems. I have been going to Red Lobster for many years and this location has really went down. Ordered the fish and chips and a shrimp scampi, fish was about 1/2 the size it used to be and the server said I could not have shrimp scampi because there was no way to bill it.they were very slow bringing drinks and very slow bringing dessert. They could have sold me 2 or 3 drinks in the time frame, plus the shrimp scampi and made probably 30 more dollars plus a bigger tip read more

I visited Red Lobster in Southaven, MS. today..the food was average as expected, however the original and unique Red Lobster tartar sauce was replaced by some generic out of the bottle no name tartar sauce. The new tartar sauce ruined what is usually an average meal. I was told the original tartar sauce was replaced in order to save funds....oh well it surely will save me some funds. I've been patronizing Red Lobster well over 30 years and in several different states; today is the day I state Red Lobster has seen the last of my funds! Now we both save. I can't tell you the last time I dined at a Red Lobster. I think it was in high school on a date with some guy who really liked The Wallflowers debut album. For her birthday we traveled to Graceland. She really wanted to see the crapper where Elvis died. She's awesomely weird. Graceland was a complete bust and waste of time (self guided tour with an Ipad...because some people were taking HOURS on their tour, people like us couldn't go in until they left. Spent a whole day at the gift shop before leaving without looking at that crapper) we told her to pick her birthday meal. She wanted seafood because she's EXTRA AF. My kid looks at a menu and intentionally finds the most expensive thing. God help the dude that marries that hot mess. We typed in seafood and six miles from Graceland was a Red Lobster. The food was decent and our server was amazing. The reason for the 5 stars is because when you go to a place to eat it needs to be enjoyable. This was all that and more. Was the food the best? No. The smile on my kid's face was though. She was so freaking happy because none of us realized that six miles from Graceland in Memphis Tennessee was Mississippi's Red Lobster. She wants to visit all 50 states, so she was pumped. Then they sang Happy Birthday and she got to pick a free dessert. Our glasses were never empty. The 9 year old wanted a meal not on the kids menu and our server substituted it out to make it still a kids meal price. Score!
