Staff needs to let customers know ahead of time it will take an hour or two after ordering before you are served. Mixed drink prices are not on the menu. Ask before you order. Now, for dinner, I had to leave the table before I tossed my cookies (paid, of course). The scallops were bad. They were super small, smelled, and tasted horrible as if they repeatedly warmed up. Claim chowder came cold. I paid to toss my cookies for the night. It's no wonder they are closing down. I'm In from out of state for grandkid's graduations and decided to buy the whole family dinner at their favorite place! (6 of us, teenagers & adults) for crab legs! I get to see my kids & grands once a year and love to treat them when I am here. We arrived there at 7:45-8pm and were surprised how empty it was. We waited a min for someone to seat us. Kids spied the lobsters and then we were seated at a large table/booth. We ordered drinks and then the waitress informed us that there were no crab legs available as the "Crab fest" was beginning the next day. "Oh no! That's exactly what we came for!" She was very sweet & apologetic. We didn't want to leave and come back and felt bad for her so we stayed. Everyone was very disappointed. I bet she was too, basically losing a tip on 6 crab leg dinners plus! So we quickly got over it and we ordered appetizers. We ordered the crab queso, the dragon calamari, and 2 orders of the crab/seafood stuffed mushrooms. She returned with our drinks and reluctantly says "Boy you guys are really going to love me!" She informs us that they can't do the crab Queso or the stuffed mushrooms. REALLY?!? Ok well, we pick out 2 other appetizers. We wait what seems like quite awhile for such an empty restaurant. Then another servers drops the first app at our table. It's stuffed mushrooms. We are all confused. She sees this and explains that "they had one order, not two." Okay, well thank you! The rest of the apps are delivered, however we never were given small plates to share these apps. We were never served cheddar bay biscuits and I think that was purely because she was so rattled at all the other let downs. That's on YOU Red Lobster, not her! We are feeling bad for the server and just roll with it. Our drinks stayed full. She checked on us constantly and really tried to make up for all the fails she had to shoulder. We ordered our main meals after revisiting the menus again. Everything was fine except my entree. I ordered 3 choices of shrimp entrees including the "Mexican street corn grilled shrimp." I don't think R&D has ever had this dish. The shrimp was cooked well on the grilled skewer and topped with a remoulade. The bed of grilled corn was so overcooked it no longer resembled corn. I am seriously talking corn jerky. Horrible. Street corn? Not in any capacity. I didn't complain because we felt so bad that management had their staff so ill prepared. We felt so sorry for our server. She herself was so sweet and so professional. It wasn't her fault at all. She tried very hard to make us as happy as she was able to, with the tools she was given in these circumstances. They comped the one serving of mushrooms! Thank you. I left her a hefty 20% tip on a $196 bill. A bill that would have been over $300 most likely before tax and tip. Dinner was a flop. Thanks Red lobster. I don't know that I'll be back. read more

Let me start by saying our family has been eating here since this location opened. When we arrived there was no wait. We were seated right away. Yay! On a Saturday night at 6:30 most restaurants around here are packed with a wait. We knew what we wanted for dinner by the time our waitress came to take our drink order so we ordered. A loooong time passed and our waitress came by three times to let us know the food "would be right out" while we waited 50 minutes for some of it. One of our entrees and three of our sides took an additional 10 minutes. The portions for the Ultimate feast in the menu look amazing. But the food arrived and the crab looks like half as much and the lobster half the size. So the portions are not what they are cracked up to be and for the price not a good value. I was frustrated that it took so long to make our food, then a bunch of it was missing. What the heck. Where are the standards? No wonder this place was nearly empty. I can only guess other Red Lobster locations doing things correctly and in a timely manner are keeping this one afloat. I hope things improve and this location stays in business. This is the second time in the past two weeks that I have ordered Red Lobster. First time was great! The lady that brought out my order was super nice. Second time, not so great. I ordered my food and I forgot my desert. So I put in another order for the "Warm Apple Crostada". Looks amazing!! (see the picture below) Pull up call in that I'm there and the lady comes out with my order, right on time! Super nice and she smiles and asked if i was Kim and said, "here's your order". I asked if both orders were there and she said, "yes"! Awesome, right?! NOOOOOOOO. I get home and all my food is there, but the "Warm Apple Crostada" with vanilla ice cream drizzled with carmel,,,, Was not!! Instead I had a cold Apple Crostada with NO ice cream and NO caramel, for $9 and some change. Being pregnant and really looking forward to eating what I ordered, I was super disappointed. Now my entire meal just wasn't as satisfying. I call, don't really need a Manager for this but I got a "Manager". I explained what I ordered was not what I got and I was told that due to COVID they no longer offer ice cream with the Apple Crostada. Okay, I can understand that, but, your website should be updated to reflect what I'm ordering. I paid $9 for all that was mentioned and I didn't get that. If im only getting an Apple Crostada, then the price shouldn't be the same, right?? So let's get to the point that made me not want to come back. I get her "COVID" explanation, but what got me is I have a legit complaint, not getting what I ordered. Instead of an empathetic I'm sorry, let us cover your desert on your next order. I got, "yea, um, I'm sorry". She could have cared less. Working In customer service and also dealing with complaints, you see when a guest is complaining to get something and you see when there is a breakdown in delivering what you are advertising. When you are wrong, admit it and recover it. I'm Pregnant and the only thing I want is the salty Lobster Bisque, Cheddar Bay Biscuits, snow crab and Macaroni and Cheese for my toddler. I order every two weeks and my order is $40 and only for me and my toddler. When my fiance and teenager is home and not working, my order is $150+. We came in on a Sunday around 4:00 before the dinner rush, we were seated right away. I just wish we would have been seated in another servers area. Our waitress was not very friendly, she didn't even smile or say her name just a what would you like to drink? My husband asked if they had sweet or a flavored tea. She stated no just reg tea with sugar. As she walked away to get the drinks I noticed there was A Boston iced tea with different flavors. When she returned I asked her what the Boston Tea was. She said Flavored Tea.. Confused I looked at my Husband and said Wasn't that what you wanted? She just stood there didn't even offer to take back the Reg. tea. Went for an early dinner on a Wednesday for my dads birthday. Now it was completely empty, no wait, and we figured what would be quick service. Now the waiter, i believe his name was Brett, was quick to attend to us, and he surprisingly spoke spanish too! I was translating most of the time for my parents but he asked my dad what "lado" he wants instead of side, lol! it was super unexpected. It took him a minute to bring our drinks and biscuits but i thought he could just be over whelmed. Also maybe they had a ton of togo orders or something but our food took SO long to come out. I would say a good 30-45 minutes. The restaurant was extremely empty! and on top of that when I ordered my fathers steak (with a side of lobster tail) it didn't come with the lobster tail! my dad was almost done with his steak by the time his lobster tail came out (when it was only supposed to be 5 mins) My husband and I both got the unlimited shrimp special, and it was honestly SO good. maybe I was hungry but I had chosen the Crispy Dragon Shrimp, Coconut shrimp and the Shrimp Alfredo. All three flavors were SO GOOD. If the food hadn't taken so long to come out, maybe we would have ordered a second plate of unlimited shrimp but unfortunately we didn't want to keep waiting. Do not order the shrimp cocktail appetizer. It's 6 pieces of medium shrimp wet on a plate. Not worth 12.99. Presentation was awful. Our server never brought our straws and took forever to bring a glass off ice for my ice tea that had very little ice in it. When she finally brought the glass of ice, it had an inch of water sitting at the bottom. Obviously had been sitting for awhile. She wasn't even that busy. The food was mediocre at best. My husbands salmon was way too salty and over cooked. He couldn't even eat it. Our server never came back to check on us. And dropped the bill not asking why he didn't touch his plate. 2 people $100. Starting off, I do not normally like chain run restaurants and now I remember why. I certainly do not recommend Red Lobster in Temecula. I was the only person at the bar and ordered two tasteless lobster tails for $45. Afterward the bartender brought me the check and rang up $139 on my credit card. I noticed this discrepancy and called her attention to it. She said it would be credited in three to five days. Are you kidding me? How can you ring a customer, the only customer at the bar for $139 knowing I only drank water, salad and two scrawny, lobster tails. Some workers are totally inefficient, lack being observant and professionalism. How can you be so oblivious? I asked for the manager and he agreed to take $9.00 off which I didn't feel sufficient. I have to wait 3-5 days for my account to be credited while they float $139. He charged me again for my original dinner. The right thing for such an egregious error, would be pick up the entire dinner for inconvenience. I will never ever eat at Red Lobster again. The food is mediocre and over priced. It's just the principle of the thing. I felt really ripped off. They lost a customer for a $45 dinner. Find somewhere else to eat. Just not worth the money! read more

I have been to several Red Lobsters in several states over many years. This is my 3rd visit to this particular location. I was so NOT impressed this visit. I ordered the shrimp scampi and bacon scallops with 2 sides of mash potatoes and broccoli. My first great disappointment was that when I pointed out to my server when she brought my water that I wish she had told me about the $15 special. There was time to change the order. Her response was "maybe next time ". Really ?! I asked about the shrimp swimming in a garlic butter sauce with NO pasta, like angel hair pasta to make it SCAMPI. My server claimed she didn't know that scampi included pasta. The bacon on the scallops was partially cooked. Nothing worse than half or uncooked bacon. The mash potatoes was a ball of glue-like dough When my server saw that I hardly touched my meal and refused a to go box she still brought me a $30 bill and never offered to get it reduced or cancelled. Paying $30!!!! For a few bites of broccoli and a cheese biscuit is beyond insanity. read more

First time at a Red Lobster. Took the whole family for a Sunday dinner at 5pm. Staff was very friendly and seated right away. Our waitress Alicia was nice but we felt the pressure for the extra order items like appetizers, cocktails, etc. Initially really good service with refills, checking in, and confirming food was almost done. Wait was a little long for the food, but not major. We ordered dessert and as soon as she dropped it off she disappeared. Didn't see her for a good 15+ minutes to ask for a check. When we saw her again she took the order of the people right next to us and then walked by without checking in with us. After another 5-10 minutes I flagged down the hostess for the tab. She went and got Alicia who came over and not very pleasant, showed us how to pay on the table machine instead of bringing out a receipt. Don't know what happened after dessert but service tanked. Great food! Plenty of parking and generally nice staff. Just didn't want to wait nearly 30 minutes to pay my bill. read more

This visit just.... reinforced my 2013 attitude. I'll admit. The lobster tail was larger than I expected, and you can't really mess up lobster, can you? It was pretty good! I took my 92 year old mother there for lunch on Tuesday as I was visiting from out of state, and I ordered the 2 lobster lunch. About 2 hours later I was sick to my stomach and here it is 2 days later and I am still recovering. It had to be from the food as I hadn't eaten anything that day before or after that. Lindsey was our waitress and I love that she comprehended that, due to my only having been to Red Lobster 2 other times over a half century period, I wasnt sure what I would enjoy. So, I notated some of things that appealed to me and then, like she knew me my entire life, she made a perfect suggestion. This was awesome because I hate being the last guy to order. Seven of us gathered came in from all over SoCal for a birthday. Even though we arrived a bit staggered, the host sat us and drinks were delivered promptly, so the experience was enjoyable. I wasnt too hungry so I ordered the Maple chicken (lunch serving portion... thanks Lindsey!!!). It was delicious and just the right amount of food. After the meal Lindsey brought out multiple scoops of ice cream in a margarita glass. It was drizzled in chocolate sauce for our auntie's birthday. Server "Troy" stepped when he noticed our selfie struggle. He snapped more than his fair share of photos and had us all laughing. So great of an experience deserves a great review. We sat at the bar ordered one beer and a soda and then got a basket of rolls within 5 mins, great start, (noticed an overwhelming pile of dirty glasses at the bar and only 2 other couples sitting alongside) then we were left waiting...and waiting...and we asked for more bread while we waited and were told by the bartender that the cooks forgot to make a batch, within 10 mins saw multiple batches go out & our drinks were empty...we continued to wait with empty drinks and the bartender MIA and after 45 mins decided we were ready to go. No wonder this place is declaring bankruptcy. Service was the absolute worst. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed a birthday celebration last night. It was the choice of the birthday girl to go to the Red Lobster and we were happy to comply. However, in the past I personally have felt that their presentation, i.e. small shrimp in a small bowl swimming in butter did not appeal to me all that much. But last night at this particular location my expectation was met in a big way. Portions were substantial and more importantly delicious. I had the skewered shrimp, baked potato and garlic string beans which satisfied my taste buds nicely. As did the steak another guest ordered as were the entrees others ordered, ample food and certainly tasty, a perfect meld of seasoning and butter that far exceeded any other visit to a Red Lobster. Do not let the idea of a large chain restaurant not having superlative food. The Red Lobster rose to the occasion nicely and we will be back. read more
