This service was terrible. We ordered the unlimited shrimp which we were told unlimited shrimp and unlimited sides one per serving when it's only one side in the beginning. Machine went down while we were eating so old fashioned cash out system came along. Food was decent but nothing to brag about. We would love to come try the service again but will not be wanting to order the unlimited shrimp. Doors are not ADA friendly which made things difficult and one lady kept getting smashed by the door. She was an elderly lady with a walker. Typical red lobster as far as ambiance, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean. Although I'm giving it 2 stars I will be back here, but in a couple months. All the butter or cream I don't know which in particular is rotten. The adult mac & cheese tasted rotten and so did the baked potato due to the butter. Although the waitress said she opened a new one, the case can be that maybe it was left out when it was delivered. Just be careful and aware of the food tasting fresh. As far as taking my cheese cake to go with strawberries. Put the strawberries in a separate container. I've never had anyone but it all together for a to go order. The wait time was a little longer than anticipated- it was Valentine's day and the place was packed! Our drinks came 10 minutes after we ordered and another 20 for the calamari appetizers. We ordered our entree before the calamari came and that was another 20 minutes. My husband said his lobster was okay, our expectations are really low so okay is good enough. My crab legs tasted good but they were a little skinny on the side and hard to take out of the shell. The restroom needed some manning and I get that it was busy but at the same time, don't ignore the restrooms. My cadillac margarita sa tasty and alcohol kicked in a few sips later. Will we go back? This happened a few weeks ago From the get go even before we sat the hostess is rude and has had zero customer service. 45 minutes waiting according to the no smiling face hostess with just another couple waiting and almost 75% tables with no one on them. We step outside and come back in 30 minutes and she tells us we lost our spot and have to wait another 30 minutes. Asked for the manager and were told she's out today (Sunday) We end up leaving .... Red Lobster used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but it has really gone downhill. I know several of them have closed and if I remember right, they may even be in bankruptcy. Husband ordered the New Orleans salmon. The fish was cooked great but it was served with a broken sauce. That's not the best way to present a dish and doesn't taste as good as it could have. I had a mish mash of things, first the seafood stuffed mushrooms. These used to be primarily crab and baby shrimp with cheese and they were delicious. Who knows what was inside these mushrooms, but it did not compare to the ones they used to have. I also had a side salad with Thousand Island dressing. It must have had a quarter cup of dressing on it and was utterly ruined because of it. I also had a cup of lobster bisque. The flavor was OK, though I am not sure I actually found even one piece of lobster in it. The thing I really didn't like was it had a weird texture, almost like that of a broken sauce. It was very unappealing. In addition their cheddar bay rolls were very different, much smaller and very little cheese in them. The servers were absolutely terrific, but the food was verging on bad, and yet the prices were almost doubled from what I remember. Overall, it was a sad and disappointing experience. read more

Made a reservation knowing we were going on a Saturday evening. Arrived and checked in, or so we thought. After being told we were all checked in and would be seated shortly we waited and watched all othrt parties being seated including those that arrived after us. Upon speaking with the hostess who has supposedly check led us in before, we had not been checked in. This was my first time in Temecula, it was as I expected. There was a wait in the middle of the day. There were open tables but I think they needed to be more staffed. Our waiter was friendly and was trying his best. I ordered the Lobster Linguini, I NEVER send food back but I just couldn't even force myself like I usually do. The food was cold and the sauce on top tasted like a canned sauce. I don't even know what the taste was supposed to be, cheese., Lobster? Not sure. It was missing whatever crumbs were sprinkled on top shown in the picture. I then ordered the crispy lobster and shrimp stack. It looked delicious... but it was VERY salty and the batter wasn't cooked all the way so although the food was crunchy there was still that sticky wet doughy taste once you bit into it. Im not one to be picky so I dealt with it. I couldn't finish it, very heavy. As far as service the staff was for the most part friendly. Two things I will say is I asked to substitute the cole slaw for rice and he said he could not do that. It's never been an issue previously at other locations or restaurants and the best way to answer that is to say let me see if I can do that for you, not we can't do that. A man walked past our table we were going to ask a question. As this man was walking by my guest asked "Are you a manager?" He kept walking while answering "Yes, I'm one of them". Typically a manager would have stopped and asked if there was anything he could help with, not a dismissive "Yes I'm one of them" Hey look I know it's not Maestros, but they could improve. The place is outdated but they keep it clean. Although the bathroom had a strong odor. The best part of our visit was the patient-friendly server. I need to get his name so I can add it. If you're looking for a step above microwave TV dinner then I would suggest going to Red Lobster. I have not been to one in over 15 years and it used to be one of my favorite lunch places. This might be hard to believe but this was my first visit to the Red Lobster ever. We were coming back from a Joshua Tree trip and were too hungry to wait till LA. This particular Red Lobster seemed abandoned at first. Just a few stragglers waiting to be served. Turns out all the waiters were serving people sitting outdoors. The outdoors seating was fine, with gas heaters, but still was it cold. But the waitress was able to get us some hot water to warm our hands up. The starters came quick and were delicious. The coconut shrimp was crispy and really fragnant. The mozzarella sticks were what you would expect, a little thinner maybe--but the marinara sauce was just sublime! Slightly tangy and peppered, it made a simple food epic. For the main course, steak was a mistake at RL, lobster was good. Should have sticked with seafood. A side of Brussels sprouts was a nice surprise, I enjoyed how they made the sprouts seem crunchier by tossing them with some fried onions. Creative. The hostess Savannah is misleading and disrespectful. Don't trust her. On more than one occasion of frequenting this restaurant, I've noticed subtle rudeness from the host staff. I never said anything because it's a constant fear to have someone mess with my food, and I have found that I don't trust this establishment. It's an unfortunate experience that my family and I attempted to eat at this "restaurant," and we won't be making that mistake again. Near the entrance of the restaurant, there's a table that our big group was waiting for. As per the hostess on 08/05/23 at approximately 8:28pm, the hostess informed my sister that they were waiting for the big group by a table near the entrance to leave as they had been there for 2 hours. We were told that when they left, they would clean the table and we would be seated. So we patiently waited. After the table was cleaned, we were wondering why we hadn't been seated yet, as the promised table was ready. Our full group of 11 was present, and we were patiently waiting in the lobby for approximately 45 minutes. To our surprise, a white family of about 6 was seated at a table that was meant for a larger family, and that the hostess originally told us we would be seated at. My sister and mom spoke with the hostess and she claimed that the people were there waiting before us and they were given that table because they were next up. What is interesting is that my brother and sister's mother-in-law heard the white customer ask for our promised table. The hostess Savannah (confirmed over the phone that she was the only hostess for the last 3 hours) gave the table that I know is for large groups (because we've sat there before as a large family) to the smaller family of 6 that fit just fine at a normal table that we saw in the restaurant when going to the restroom. It's interesting that she was so accommodating to this family when they were not even all present and ready to be immediately seated like we were. It was an easy no. When questioned, Savannah rudely told my family "I'm sorry if you were confused by the wording, but I didn't necessarily say that table." As if we as Asians can't grasp the English language because we're not white? Because we aren't capable of understanding verbal and non-verbal cues, and because we aren't capable of using our Asian eyes to see the big group she referenced leaving their table? We were in the restaurant to see them leave, and to see the bus staff quickly clean up after. Thank you Savannah for not taking responsibility and properly apologizing for your mistake and for making us feel discriminated against because we aren't the same as you. What a poor representation for the Red Lobster family. The star I will give is for Ray, the manager. A real class act. He was very respectful and apologetic to my family, and I can see why he is the manager. I hope that he can properly train his staff so that they can act with kindness and compassion to a big, hungry family that was just trying to get dinner to celebrate a birthday and some big milestones. Upon entering for a mid afternoon meal my wife and I were wearing matching "We the People" hats. A man by the names of Frankie sat us and his immediate and first words were are those "Trump" hats. I was wearing a US Navy shirt and the hats had nothing to do with Trump. It's the first three words of the Constitution preamble. We said no but asked if they were would it have mattered. He said "No I enjoy entertainment". I wanted to say something as did my wife but did not want to be afraid to eat our meal without angering someone. The meal was great and our server Cat was excellent. I just could not believe this would be accepted behavior. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!!! The hostess Savannah is incompetent and should not work in customer service. Our family first checked in at 8:28 PM with a group of 11 and was quoted a 20 minute time frame and the hostess gestured to her left telling us, "They just need to clean up the table for you guys." So my family didn't want to be pushy and was trying to be very patient. There was no one in the parking lot or lobby, just my family sitting and waiting patiently for them to finish cleaning up our table. While we were waiting, the hostess kept slamming the menus and looking at us. One of the people in my party had made a remark that "maybe she was in a bad mood and that's why she was acting like that?" All other parties coming in we're waiting outside but it was just my family waiting in the lobby. At 9:00PM all of a sudden a party of six comes in and gets seated at the table she promised us. That's when my party had gone up to the hostess and asked why they were seated at the table where they had promised us. That's when Savannah back tracked her words and stated we were going to sit you at two tables by the restroom. First of all why would you split up our group when that area you sat that group of 6 could fit our whole family. I know, it's because they're white and had asked to sit there even though she had promised us that table. I honestly think she knew those people and were waiting to sit them there. Maybe that's why she kept huffing and puffing and slamming the menus down. This is the second time we have had a bad experience here. Don't come here if you want competent service because it is seriously lacking here. Savannah has a very bad attitude. She has horrible customer service and should not be the front of the house. She doesn't deserve to have a customer service job with her attitude. Do better Red Lobster because the face of of the restaurant starts with the hostess and her customer service skills are subpar. Savannah never apologized for the situation just for the "confusion." No, there was no confusion you guys just gave our table to another party. Don't come here. Haven't been to red lobster in nearly 20 years and our experience was disappointing. They were short staffed and were pretty busy on a Saturday night, but it took nearly 3 hours to complete our meal from start to finish. The food was very disappointing and not worth the money. On July second my wife and I went and had crab,the picture on the menu show nice crab legs juicy and big when they arrived the potatoes were burn and the crab legs were thin with little crab meat or none. I had a plater with lobster tail and shrimp We would go for holidays and birthday and take friends from out of town 20 years ,now we will look for else where to go.We are fish eaters and love it.Sorry Red Lobster.For a $125.00 not worth it. read more

A lot of restaurants won't allow you to swap out sides on the menu, and this is one of them. No fault to the individual franchise, but still something that's a turn off. The staff was alright, but not a "20% tip" kinda alright. All the servers just stood next to the bathrooms talking to each other. I guess that is the hangout spot. Couldn't get any worse. 35min wait to get seated but okay no problem. Once seated after a beat the waitress came to take our drink order then again for food. After a very long time, my salad came but we had no utensils. Kept trying to get her attention with no luck so I finally went to the host and asked. He said okay but it was clear he forgot as soon as he said ok. I got up a 2nd time & went to the bar to ask and the bartender then took me to the host station to get some. The host said "oh no one came?" As if he didn't say HE would bring them to us. Then after almost 2 hours, my husband & kids got their food but I didn't. Mine came 10mins after that. NONE of our food was good. My husbands lobster was rubbery, shrimp burned, kids bacon cheeseburger had no bacon & hard breed, other kids food was greasy, mine looked nothing like the picture. Do not go to this Red Lobster location. The hostess at the front was not friendly. Me and my family loved coming to this exact Red Lobster location to eat dinner until we were served with absolute horrible customer service. My family, a party of 11 were waiting at the front patiently because another family was already seated there and were there for about 2 hours. The hostess explained to us that we would be seated at the same table the other family was sitting before us, after they had cleaned up the table and got everything ready for us. After the employees cleaned the table, me and my family were very much confused by why we were not getting seated after the tables were ready. Until, the hostess started slamming the menus on the counter and staring at my party while shaking her head. A while after she was doing that, a white family of 6 came in. Just walked in and asked the hostess to occupy the big table we were promised to. Some of my party went up and were speaking to her about the situation. Till, she started giving attitude to us and said that they were waiting before us. The interesting thing was, we were the only people inside waiting until more people came after. She then rudely stated "I am sorry for the confusion, but I didn't necessarily say that table", as if us asians can't understand her speaking english. There was also no confusion at all, our table was just given up to another family that was promised to us. She started changing up her words and said that we were assigned the table at the back by the restrooms and they would split the family up. Which does not make sense at all, because if a larger table at the front that could have been perfect for us and a smaller family of 6 could have taken the smaller tables but took the bigger one, is wrong. My family felt very discriminated by the racism. She was giving much attitude and disrespect to the elders that were speaking to her. You should look at the cameras to determine her demeanor and attitude. As well as checking to see how long we waited patiently. A tip for the restaurant, is to reconsider on the hiring process and give proper training provided to employees. We would like to very much thank the manager, Ray. He was very polite, cooperative, and apologetic. Me and my party could see why the position fits him very well. I love the food here very pricy but worth it. Just watch out with some of the waitresses or waiters because when you pay they don't put in your phone number for rewards instead they give you the receipt tells you to scan it, well turns out they scan it themselves so they take away your reward. The last 3 times I've been there I scan after paying it says the receipt has already been scanned???? So make sure your phone number is on there when ordering. read more
