5 of us went today Sunday at 3:30. I went online to reserve a table as priority seating two days ago. When we walked in there weren't many customers, with one party of about 8 and two different couples, waiting to be seated. The hostess told us it would be about 10 minutes. While we were waiting though, the party of 8 was seated, and then both couples were seated, and then a party of four came in and were seated, then another couple, and then a party of 3, all seated. I asked the hostess, if my going on line was even worth it, but now it was 10 to 4 pm. She said yes and that the party of 8 checked in minutes before us, so they were seated. All the others who were seated were because they were couples and small parties, she told me. By 4 pm, I asked again and reminded her they told us about 10 minutes. She informed me that they're in the middle of a shift change and that (who would be our server) was very busy with the party of 8, and it would be about 15 minutes. We went for my 64th birthday, with my daughter, son in law and two grand kids. There were open tables that could seat our party of 5. So, we got up and I said well thanks for nothing, we're leaving, to which a new hostess said, it will only be about another 10 minutes folks, and we didn't want to seat you while our server was so busy with the party of 8, and you feel left out. I said, I love that story, and there is no advantage to reserving a priority table. Very, very disappointed in this Red Lobster today. Really slow and very greasy shrimp. I feel bad because I bought my dad here for his birthday and everything was so greasy. The waitress Alexis was amazing and totally understood where we were coming from. She came through at the end and made our birthday experience much better. Came in on the October 15th. This must have been the worst experience for me. First they were not busy and we were sat in the bar. I thought there was no one there service would be great. To my surprise it was the worst. The server was not in a good mood and seems to be like "why am I here attitude" Took for ever to get any thing from this place. Drinks to the food. I really wonder why I even go here. Wait that's right the warm bis-kits they make as they cant mess that up. When we got the food it seemed to have been sitting for a few. I was like really there is not a lot of people here as it was not even 5 yet. Like 4!!!! it was SLOW like our server and the level of service we got. We entered the restaurant about 7:30 pm Friday the 10th of July. We were greeted by staff and was told there was a 15 min wait.. We were sat quickly! Just as fast our server Desiree came by and introduced herself and took our order. To our surprise, not long after our food arrived. We ordered the Clam Chowder, it was tasty and hot but a watery, not what you would think a chowder should be, like water was added because it had reduced and was too thick. Addition to the chowder we ordered the Admirals Feast, upon the plate arriving we noticed the scallops were clearly way under cooked and very greasy, we immediately, sent them back. We didn't eat much from the plate, it was very GREASY, fried food doesn't have to greasy, if it's done properly. However, it took almost 20mins for the scallops to come back, by an expeditor and not our server, I will say they were cooked well. By that time we were done. Our server didn't come back at all after that to check on us, because she knew they took too long and we received a less than an Red Lobster up to par meal. The highlight was, as always the fresh biscuits! We had a similar experience just about a year ago and thought we give it another try, I am sorry to say, nothing has changed. Decided to order some clam chowder today since it was rainy and cold. I door dashed a bowl of chowder and 6 cheddar bay biscuits. What I received was a cup...with BOWL written on the lid. Charged for a bowl, and given a cup. I literally counted because I couldn't believe my eyes, 6 potatoes and 2 pieces of clam in the cup. Nothing more. Funny story about this place. My bf always tries to talk me into going here, and one night I caved in. We ordered our food, and although we were aware that the bill would be pricey, we decided to guess what the bill was. I told him that if it was under $80 I would pay, and if it was over he'd have to pay...So we get the bill and lo and behold the bill was $79.90!!!! I was off by ten flippin cents!!! GRRR...HA HA HA...I shut my trap and paid though don't worry! The food was aight for the rip off that it was and the only way I'd go back is if I was not paying...or my bf or family for that matter. My sole purpose coming here was to introduce my girlfriend that had rightfully never been to a Red Lobster. My one and only time was back in the late 80's. So needles to say I was expecting a truly commercialized experience. And boy was it.. In fairness they have a great business model with successful advertising. "Provide the masses with seafood at a reasonable price." I am impressed as to how many people actually patronize this location. It was crowded. Fantastic example of successful marketing. The food on the other hand, Is a different story. If you are a diner and enjoy fresh wild Lobster, Crab, or Shrimp. This is NOT the place for you. Yes, I did see live lobster in a tank however I wasn't paying market price for farmed lobster. What was served was a rendition of GMO farmed seafood that should not be called lobster but more called Flob-ster and come with a warning label "GMO fed". This "flob-ster resembles wild lobster only by sight and texture. I ordered the clam chowder thinking at least it would be good. Wow, that metal after taste stopped me in my tracks cold, I couldn't even power through it. My after thought was...."OMG, people willfully come here to eat". Throughout my thirty plus years of dining, I've always nicknamed Red Lobster "Seafood Denny's".....and Olive Garden "Italian Denny's"...... I think it fits so well. One of my girlfriends brought me here for dinner one night, and I thought oh well, it's a chain but aside from slow service the food was pretty good. No, we didn't order the lobster. I think we both figured that out that since this is a chain, all the seafood is probably flash frozen and stored in a freezer prior to cooking. I had a creamy Cajun chicken pasta that was very tasty and my friend had a steak; she said it was nice and tender. We both had the berry sangria. I think my friend thought it was better than what I thought. It tasted kind of cheap to me - like boxed wine kind of cheap! There was a creepy guy that kept staring at my girlfriend and me! Gross and bad service. There were only about 8 tables full and our waitress had 3 tables INCLUDING us and yet we waited and waited for everything. Someone brought a mixed drink to our table that I didn't order and then our waitress came out and rudely confronted me telling me I did order it. Nope. She ended by sarcastically saying she must have misunderstood me. All our shrimp was overcooked. My husband got the Chesapeake Bake and the potatoes were greasy, ship over cooked, sausage was like spam from a can, corn was chewy, and everything under seasoned. Everything was gross. We didn't eat any of it and left. Kinda ruined our night. The biscuits were really good though. .... Oh and our bill was $70 without even getting any steak or lobster. I have been here multiple times. As I got to the restaurant with my family at around 9:30pm we waited almost 20 mins just for drinks and biscuits and that's after we requested to be moved somewhere else in the restaurant since there was ants crawling across the wall and booth seats. We waited another 15 mins for our appetizer which we had ordered during the drinks. Soups were late, and my step father's soup came out and not even 2 mins later our meals come out. We requested little things such as sauce and had to sit and wait while our food got cold just so someone completely else could bring it to us. Waited almost 10 mins just for a box and to pay the bill which was quite confusing since the restaurant was quite empty. Ended up leaving at 11:55 after all of this. So endless you want "ants in your pants" while waiting for some biscuits and to at least put in your order after waiting for over 20 minutes, then I recommend only to go when your really craving the food. read more

I am a fan of comparing apples to oranges and frankly I did not set the bar very high here. The service her is outstanding. The wait staff was engaging and extremely attentive. The food did not hit the spot for me. Although not what I would consider to be bad food, it was probably not something I would crave with the exception of the Clam Chowder and house salad. The Chowder was creamy goodness and the salad was cold and crisp. Good stuff there. Not sure, but I should have known what I was walking into. It's been a while since I decided to spend my money and might be the last. Here's a tip for the manager. Went on a Thursday early afternoon... Restaurant appeared to be decent looking inside and was pretty dead. Complimentary cheese biscuits were good, but food was a far cry from the pictures in the menu. My mom ordered fish and chips and they served her one giant piece of fried fish! When I order fish n chips I expect 3-4 pieces you can actually pick up and dip... this was a joke... I mean seriously one giant piece of fried fish! I ordered the special with lobster scallops and shrimp skewer. In the menu it looked great, but the real life version was pathetic. Presentation was just sad... lots of empty space on the plate and the broccoli was the sorriest I've ever seen. Seafood was ok (lobster was a little rubbery), but the broccoli was shriveled and too salty and slightly browning (not nice and green like it should be) and the rice tasted like cheap boxed rice. Waitress was nice, but didn't bring me any drawn butter, cocktail or tartar sauce with my meal. Only went because I had a $25 gift card and will not be returning. Terrible service! I called to order a take out curb pick up, they directed me to order on the website. Placed my order at noon for my Mom and Dad mother day dinner. Curbside pick up for 4:30pm. Called upon arrival , gentleman who answered the phone said they were a little behind but it would be put in 15 minutes! After waiting an hour I decided to stand in the long line of people ( which I DIDNT want to do!!). The manager came out and took my name and was going to look For my order. NEVER SAW HIM AGiAIN!! Finally I. The door- there are 3 ladies who are writing down names... doing their best... but frankly it was a mess! Finally one of the ladies offered to help look for my order.. waited another 40 minutes while they looked. Oh.. they didn't see my order or my NAME!!!! I cancelled my order but the computer is down so... manager - yes the same guy who took my name and disappeared, will call me to give me a refund! RIGHT! Why do you offer curbside or take out orders if you are not able to do the service! This was terrible! This has been a day for disappointment, with the Holiday (Mother's Day). The restaurant should have anticipated the amount of orders both online and in person, when you offer pick up or curbside services. I think there should have been a cut off time for ordering. I pre-paid like a lot of people, pick up and go. And most of us are being told 30 minutes to 3 hours wait, its total chaos. I'll be glad when we're back to some since of normalcy. We have been saying that we should try "red lobster" for a few years, so we finally did. I honestly wasn't too impressed. The food all tasted fine, but it did not look very appetizing. The pictures on the menu looked awesome, so we were expecting something that looked at least okay. Instead, the presentation was pretty pathetic. I was somewhat reserved going to a RL due to the average reviews and past experience but it is our grandmother's favorite place. I had the rock lobster and sirloin steak (surf & turf). The lobster was better than I expected and the steak was cooked and seasoned very well. The wife and kids enjoyed their seafood and were satisfied. The highlight of the dining experience was the service. Leann, our server, was genuinely attentive and made sure we enjoyed our dining experience. At the end, she fearleasly grabbed a lobster out of the tank and allowed the kids to pet it. The lobster appeared quite healthy, kicking and squirming around. Well how about that I found a Red Lobster that doesn't suck ass! After my last outing to the Fremont location, I left hungry and angry. Initiating kill next person who asks a stupid question sequence. Okay so if you have been to a Red Lobster before, it's basically the same layout and atmosphere. Wall art that's drilled into the wall, soft rock/smooth jazz playing through the speakers and some screaming kids running around. Yet, the service here was decent. You see I didn't say great. It was busy, so I can understand when the server forgets to bring a to go box after being asked 4 times to do so. In any case, my husband I shared one of the Signature dishes that included lobster tails, shrimp, rice pilaf, a baked potato and a Caesar salad. We ordered the pan-seared crab cakes for the appetizer. Lemonade for me, iced tea for him. The last time I ordered the crab cakes they were awful (this was at the Fremont location), so you could say I was taking a bit of a gamble by hoping that they would be great here in Temecula. Jackpot! They were bigger and definitely had more flavor to them, although for the price I could have gone to Trader Joe's and picked up their Maryland style crab cakes and have been more pleased. The Ultimate Feast was good. I liked the shrimp and the lobster, but I wasn't too happy with that thing they call rice pilaf. I preferred the baked potato and do yourself a favor, ask for the sour cream and butter on the side. Take note BJ's Brewhouse: This Caesar salad had CROUTONS and shredded PARMESAN cheese. I came here for lunch with my 4 year old a couple weeks ago and of course he went straight for the lobster tank. One of the employees saw him checking them out and came and took one out of the water and encouraged him to touch it. Reluctantly he touched it and was talking about it the rest of the day.
