As a general rule I like Red Lobster. This review is only for this location. At about 7 PM on the day of this review while traveling I stopped in for dinner. It was odd that on Sunday night this place was pretty dead and alot of open seats. It became evident why it's probably the case. I sat in the bar and there was not one person at the bar and very few eating in the bar. I sat there for nearly 20 minutes and a waiter never came to my table. I simply left as I felt they didn't deserve my business and surely the service would likely only get worse. Very disappointed at this location. read more

Last time we went there was this time last year after a family member's high school graduation. After waiting almost two hours to be seated, we were told that only the patio was available and it was COLD out. The heaters are awkward! The food was overcooked and had been sitting awhile before it was brought to us. All in all the bill was several hundred dollars for our huge party and it was terrible. My boyfriend and I had decided to come here for Valentines day as something different. Unfortunately this choice happened to be a huge mistake. Here's highlights of our night: -Waitress greets us with "hello ladies!" It was just weird and made me wonder if she was even half there? My boyfriend is very obviously male. -10 minutes after ordering my food I realized she never asked me how I wanted my steak, went to go find her to let her know I wanted medium rare, by the time I found her she'd already come back with my plate.. done medium well. - I told her this is not how I wanted my steak, she never asked me how I wanted it cooked which was done medium rare. (I was spending $37 on steak and lobster, I wasn't about to not clarify my order.) She proceeds to tell me "we usually can't make it any more rare than that sorry" (it was medium well) just to try to hush me. Wow. This irritated me so I spoke to the manager. She proceeded to tell me that they can make your steak however you like and that the waitress was in the wrong. As I'm talking to the manager the waitress orders me a new steak done medium rare. I wait about 2 minutes and the waitress plopped on my plate a cold, basically raw steak. No, it wasn't just cold in middle the whole thing felt like it just came out of a fridge. I was going to take another bite but didn't want to get sick. At that point I felt defeated and didn't even want to complain anymore so I just sat there with my cold steak waiting for my boyfriend to finish. I took a few bites on of the lobster but it had a chewy texture and was overly-salted. Left an overall bad taste in my mouth. The mashed potatoes and rice pilaf were both overly-salted and had a weird, old texture. The upside to this whole thing is the manager felt so bad she took it off the bill completely. She was very understanding and nice. I don't know what happened to the waitress but once I spoke to the manager someone else took my bill and I never saw my waitress for the rest of the night. I'm guessing she made more than one mistake that day. read more

I have been to a lot of Red Lobster restaurants in numerous cities throughout the years. My past experiences have been so-so. That is also what I expected at this location, but I was pleasantly surprised. We were a party of 8. Three of the people in the group had never been to a Red Lobster before. Fortunately, their first experience was outstanding and made a great impression. The food was delicious, but the best part was the amazingly great service by Chris. He provided the best service that I have experienced in a long time. Overall, all 8 of us were impressed and satisfied. We came here at 8:30pm. There weren't a ton of people waiting but there was a few. We came in, weren't greeted..at all, even after we got to the front counter. The lady just said "How many?" And she was obviously not happy to be there, which kind of ruined our mood a bit. We told her 2 with a high chair, and she said with a sigh..in her super bummed out attitude "It's going to be about 30-35 minutes." Which wasn't terrible and was kind of expected as it was a weekend night. Then I decided I should take our 2 year old to the restroom, so we asked the same girl where the restroom was and with a slight sigh...because obviously helping customers was bothersome to her..she pointed me in the right direction. It was after walking to the bathroom and seeing at least 9 empty tables that we decided we would go somewhere else. So basically, we got as far as using the bathroom after we got our table buzzer and decided to leave. The only good customer service we recieved here was the lady (different from the lady at the front counter) holding the door open for us when we were leaving. The food was great and our waitress was awesome! The only complaint I have is with the young lady who was the hostess. She didn't greet us with a warm smile and didn't seem friendly at all. We seemed to annoy her when I asked to be seated at a different table (we needed to use a highchair and she was seating us in a high traffic area). Maybe she was just having a bad day, but she was so rude I almost walked out. We went to the Red Lobster in Temecula to celebrate a birthday at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening. We waited for 40 minutes to be seated, even though there were very few people in the restaurant. When we commented that our "buzzer" must be broken, the manager comped us a free appetizer. We had a party of 6, which is not exactly a banquet sized group. Shortly after being seated, our waitress was substituted with another who lacked customer service and knowledge of the menu. The food was very substandard. The steaks were paper thin and tough! One of our party was given 1/2 of his crab leg order and told that his order was given to someone else by mistake. A few minutes later, the other half of the crab legs showed up. Really??? Where was it all this time? Did they take it off the other customer's plate and deliver it to us? This special occasion turned out to be not so special. Two hours after arriving, we were presented a bill for $175.00!!! Should have just given the money to the birthday guy, instead. Temecula has so many other great choices for good food. We will NOT be going back to this restaurant EVER! read more

The King crab was so salty. This is the worst place in Temecula. I had a very bad experience at the Red Lobster before, But I thought I would give them a second chance. I just have to give this Red Lobster a 5 star review. My boyfriend and I were like so hungry and was in the mood for a really good meal. We wanted something like lobster. We stumbled into Red Lobster and didn't realize that they were closing in 15 minutes. OMG and all the other places were closed already or not what we wanted. The staff here is sooooo amazing and incredible. The waitress said that we can come on in and they will serve us. WOW! We had lobster and steak and it was GREAT. This is the go to restaurant if you have a special night to celebrate. The food is superb prepared to perfection ! I had the salmon which was moist and flavorful My husband had crab, lobster and shrimp. He was smiling from ear to ear. My family and I, 5 of us decided to have dinner Sunday night Feb. 25 and to save time since we had a 35 min drive we registered on line, big waste of time we still had to wait more than 35 min once we checked in, finally getting seated we ordered myself the Swordfish and one of my sides was the new green beans and also a Maine Lobster Tail on the side, server came back said they were out of Swordfish so I ordered the Steak and Lobster, I ended up with the additional Lobster Tail from my previous order. When I received my order they had replaced the green beans with broccoli and told me they were out of the green beans so they gave me the broccoli instead but they were making fresh green beans and would bring them to me once they were ready. We were there for over 1 hour and I never got the green beans although they informed me 3 times they were coming. Then we had the Brownie Overboard for dessert it too was terrible half of it was hard as a rock, I never received refills on my soft drink to top all that. $165.00 dinner bill and their suggested tip recommends paying a tip on the sales tax. Very poor experience never again to Red Lobster, by the way once we were at the Riverside location as it began to rain the ceiling was leaking into our food Discussing. Came to this location on Wednesday 12-21-2017 with my wife and three children at 930 pm. When we arrived we asked if they were still taking customers which the hostess replied yes. We we're quickly seated and the server took our drink order and brought some of the cheese biscuits. The service was very nice and prompt and brought more biscuits out on request. Half way through the meal I found a curly Q hair in my food and notified the server. The server brought the manager over and I showed him the hair. He assured me all the cooks were wearing tight hair nets. I explained to him it didn't look like that kind of hair and my hair wasn't that long or curly. He said he would take the price of the meal off my bill and replace the meal if I wanted another one. Needless to say I was done and did not want another. I have always been happy with there service but will not be back due to the hair factor. read more

Went in tonight for a last minute date with my husband and so glad we went. It was super busy but we grabbed 2 seats at the bar. We were quickly helped by the bartender Kim and she was awesome. This was the best experience I have ever had! From the lay opening the door to our hostess to our waiter and finally to the food! Everything was so amazing! Samantha was our server and she was spectacular! She was funny, kind, and fast! Coming back here again mainly because of her! There systems were down and it was still the best! Of course the rolls were superb in taste, but we also got three different shrimp items from the big festival shrimp limited menu! The garlic scampi was my favorite! Worst meal we've had there. Crab Alfredo had no alfredo sauce and the crab was out of a cheap can. Service was great, food was lousey. My wife had fish & chips where the fish was mostly fry-coating and very little fish. I think she got 9 fries. My relatives had a similar experience at the Red Lobster is Eugene, OR. Last night, me and my family went to Red Lobster on Margarita Road in Temecula California. Our server's name was Phil. He was very professional and did a fantastic job with our meals.Had a warm and friendly smile on his face which indicated he loved making his guests happy and giving them a truly wonderful dining experience. I ordered the four(4) course meal. It included a cup of clam chowder; a garden salad; garlic shrimp skewers; baked potato with butter, cheese and chives and chocolate brownie a la mode for dessert. Everything was delicious. What really impressed me about Phil was how he handled the situation when my soup came out later than expected. He said that the kitchen was backed up with orders so I didn't get my clam chowder until I got my main course. Instead of a cup, I got a big bowl of chowder. Wow! Talk about a server who wants and loves to make his customers happy. I was impressed. I work in a fast food restaurant and always want to make my guests happy and return to our restaurant. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Phil deserves a raise and a big compliment from his superiors. This Red Lobster could use more employees like him. I hope he will continue to provide great service at Red Lobster and wherever else he works now and in the future. read more

This Red Lobster is more expensive than other locations on several plates. Restaurant was empty and during the entire meal we sat next to a dirty table. Brought out a dirty spoon with my pasta and never offered refills. Clam chowder was very runny like others have stated, and the broccoli was over seasoned/undercooked. Server took 31 minutes to finally take our plates away and ask me if I wanted my desert and bring the check. Didn't want to wait another 30 minutes, so asked for it to go. I used to work at a Red Lobster, and this place just puzzles me. Have you seen their lobster tank? Why so cloudy? I wouldn't go near that with a 5 foot pole. I'm a regular at red lobster all over Southern California. This red lobster definitely exceeded my expectations and I WILL BE BACK. The host was really sweet and there wasn't a wait. Our sever, michaela H, was so attentive and awesome. She informed us about all the specials and was very knowledgable on their fresh fish menu. Haven't been here in years. Decided to try it because most other restaurants were packed and parking hard to find. Not here. Should have been a clue. When you walk in the door, it hits you,the place smells bad. The smell of rancid grease? The menu cover feels greasy. I decided to order anyway and give the place a chance. Wish I hadn't, the smell lingers still. Mostly empty booths with those that are occupied are all senior citizen. Odd feeling to have the only diners be elderly. Not bad just odd, what attracts age category? Familiarity from a bygone era? I have to say food was surprisingly good. Grilled chicken breast was moist, shrimp grilled just right and broccoli fresh. However, dark dated decor and smell mean I won't be back...until a noticeable remodel and upgrade. read more

My friend and I eat here occasionally and love the food and service. The other night we had Katie who was very efficient and friendly. We had 2 assorted seafood platters and the sautéed shrimp was tasty and cooked perfectly. The breading on the fried fish was very light and tasted great. My family and I went to red lobster tonight and we were served by cassie. She was very attentive and just plan out pleasant to be served by! My boyfriend and I were honestly having a very stressful day and she definitely sent us home with a smile. Shes an amazing server and had wonderful things to say about her work environment. I myself am a server at yard house so I tend to be a picky guest when it comes to service, Cassie truly WOWED my whole table and left us with only positive things to say about the service and the restaurant in whole!! Went there at 4pm on Sunday and couldn't get a seat, so sat at the bar. Had a drink. Ordered dinner for two. We were told 30 minutes later they didn't have the trout we ordered. Ordered two drilled sole entrees. Thirty minutes later we were brought FRIED sole and asked if we wanted it. If not, they had already started to GRILL our order. We left. This place is great. I really enjoy visiting this location. I took my mom out for dinner on her birthday, the food was great but alittle pricey, the service was good but the best part was the hostess Shannon. My 5 year old daughter loves the lobsters that she can really touch. She let my daughter pick out a lobster from the tank then she picked up the lobster and let my daughter pet it. My mom had a great time to and that whats important. I will be back just to see the lobsters again. The company was great, the food was great and shannon was super great!
