I have lived in Traverse City for 11 years now. A few years back I went to Chili's. Way back before COVID. Did't have an opinion either way. Just went in to other places. Then early spring of this year I tried it again and was blown away with the customer service and the cleanliness of the restaurant. Every person I encountered was generally polite, helpful, dressed nicely and had a smile on their face. The average age of the servers and table help is about 17-24, I would guess. They are highly trained in customer service. The food is good. Trying different things. My only complaint about the food is they give you too much food. I am a senior and I don't particularly like to take home leftovers. So perhaps they could have a side menu for seniors like they do for the kiddies. read more

Look at all that bacon on my Bacon Rancher Burger! This is not some fake food posing for a professional photo, it's a real burger that was every bit as delicious as it looks. Nobody has better chips - so thin and crispy (when they're cooked right). Southwestern Eggrolls are reliably delicious. Throw a dart at a Chili's menu, and you'll hit something I like. They have long been my favorite restaurant chain, and this location sure didn't disappoint. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. read more

Asked to not be seated on the bar side, they sat me on the Bar side, asked again and the hostess just stared at me like she was lost. Then a person that needed lessons on proper grooming and beard maintenance took my order. The Arnold Palmer he brought me had one of his 3 foot beard hairs in it.... amd it was straight un sweet tea no lemonade.... so I said I had an emergency because I was ready to eliminate the beard barer. Restaurant is clean but the dining area was ice cold. The host and server are great and the atmosphere was lively. I'm sure the manager deals with a lot and let's leave it at that, but that doesn't excuse him from actually listening to customers. We ordered. The tickets was correct (according to the little machine on the table), the kitchen was not. We didn't say anything about niece's burger coming out without any of the modifications requested. (No cheese, slaw on side) however I did speak up about my salad. What I was served was a crappy iceberg house salad with some shrimp, avocado and a sprinkle of tortilla chips. I had no mods, except for sub shrimp, which is a menu option. I was trying to speak to the manager about what was in front of me, verses the menu description and what was missing. I didn't say anything about the dressing not tossed with it, which is what he focused on, took my plate and left. The food runner returned with their redo, which was still iceberg lettuce, but at least it had some pico and cilantro this time. It was tossed in dressing which I didn't want or ask for. The dude needs to stfu and listen. I was perfectly polite but he was already defensive. Our server ask if my salad was fixed and I told her 'somewhat' and she said she didn't know why he was being a jerk. I gave up. My family was done with their meals by this time and I packed my salad. More reasons why we don't visit Chili's more often anymore. Their two burgers were fine (once niece scrapped off the crap) and the appetizer trio was out hot and fresh. The waiter had an attitude from the start. Got angry that I was trying to order food. Gave my boy attitude for filling up his damn water and spilled water on the table and left it. Waited an hour for food. Got mad that one of us gave her an average review, then wouldn't let me take the survey by ripping the tablet out of my hands. Then started yelling at us to leave for "leaving a bad review."(When she got average, which she didn't deserve) Watching me choose a tip amount on the tablet. My experience at Chili's was so poor, I'm genuinely upset. Our waiter, Brian, was extremely inattentive. We waited forever to order, never received a refill on our drinks and he even walked by our table multiple times trying to get his attention and he completely ignored us. Most of the time he was just standing up at the hostess stand hanging around and chatting with the hostess. I'm very disappointed as I've had other excellent experiences at this Chili's, this however was by far the worst service my family and I have ever had here. read more

I placed an online order on a Friday evening about 8 PM. To pick up process and checking in or easy. But I'm glad I checked my order before I left because it was wrong. I order from Chili's frequently and could tell by the weight of the bag that my entire meal wasn't there the lady who brought the meal to the car, was apologetic, and went in to get the rest of my order, but if I had driven all the way back and realized that my order was wrong, I have been a little irritated. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to make sure everything in the bag. This is the second time in two weeks that this is happened it's super frustrating read more

Walked into bar door sat down while there were no lines or people waiting for anything and was told by server they would not wait on me until I went to front door and waited to be seated. Got up and left and have never visited another since. They obviously did not want my money. read more

The servers were unbelievably understaffed, I feel so bad for them and the two stars on their behalf... but... I ordered a simple quesadilla and the cheese wasn't melted. I never send food back... I had to in this instance... it wasn't just cold, the cheese was still in small, gritty, out of the bag pieces. The chef made me a new one and it was exactly the same in the center although the outside pieces were more cooked. I feel so bad for the waitress. She was so sweet. The chef might need to re think his profession. Who can't wam up a quesadilla? He got two chances and didn't even check the second time.l before sending it. update: Got home and tried to microwave it The cheese is so terrible that they put in there that it wont even melt in the microwave. ok, so tonight we came in and had a large party. I am going to start with I know large parties can be difficult to manage sometimes and most of my party was older, which doesn't make it any easier. but come on. a little patience goes a long way. It took us a little longer than intended to figure out all of are orders. Especially my grandfathers (he's 91 and has dementia) and my kids who are 11, 7 and 6. this Shouldn't have been annoying, we weren't being disruptive, or rude, just slow. It happens. next time just go with the flow And it will get sorted out. Then when we got our food, two orders had to be returned Because they were messed up. Honestly it should have been three but with the fuss about the other tso and the waitress being visibly annoyed I just ate mine. it was burnt. I don't like burnt. Next, two of our members didn't even get served at all. We had to remind the waitress about them, which ok, we're a large party there was some chaos, so understandable some mistakes were made. But being rude and visibly being upset that we asked where our food was cause the entire party that was served had already finished their food, was a bit much. Then came our bill. Again large party so I apologize about confusion, but our bills were wrong and had to be corrected. mine specifically had to be corrected three times. To the point, my husband had to go back inside and deal with it. It wasn't a pleasant experience it was stressful And honestly it could have been a lot simpler with a little more patience and less visible annoyance from the waitress. thank You for being good with my kids though. The bar top was covered in dirty glass wear, pieces of food on it(not cleaned up), the bar top was tacky and there was even tables that were neglected from being cleaned off. I could see the kitchen from where I was sitting and the floor was dirty, the staff was being being extremely loud and at times yelling at each other. I had tot use the restroom and I was very displeased with the condition of the kitchen from that side, as to access the restroom I have to walk past the open kitchen. There was food all over the floor, wrappers, etc. There appeared to be staff that could have taking a second or two to sweep up a bit. Our texas cheese fries we ordered with chili was a joke. The chili looked like dried up over seasoned taco meat, the fries looked they were older and just gave a quick refry, and the cheese was overly melted so it was almost burnt and hard. We experience such stomach issue after getting home. I am sorry to say but I will not be returning to this location. I get that there is labor issue but come on, no way to run a restaurant. read more

They say a third time is a charm but not so at the Chili's restaurant in Traverse City. This evening was my third time ordering on line for curb side pickup. I was told to arrive at 6:45 to 6:50, text them when I arrive and my order would be on its way out.....wrong. I watched other cars pull up and get their order but my order never came out. After 15 minutes I went in and inquired, the manager said he'd look into it and bring it out to me. I waited another 20 minutes then called the manager from my car. Before he picked up, my order was delivered to my car window. I asked the delivery person why I had to wait a half hour for my order and she said we're busy. I said other people didn't have a problem, they pulled up and got their orders. She then asked me in a very nasty way, do you want your food or not! I was taken aback by that comment and when the manager did get on the line he said he was sorry form my inconvenience. I paid for my meal with a tip when I ordered it. When I brought my food home (1/2 mile away) our food was cold, not warm or even room temperature but cold. PLEASE, do not subject yourself to this business. Its so upsetting to pay for something in good faith only to be treated poorly and feel ripped off financially. read more

Absolutely terrible. I dont even expect much from a chain restaurant. I never get what I order, but I get them delivered so certain things I am willing to overlook. What I am not willing to overlook is the dry cracked and petrified tortillas that accompanied my shrimp tacos. The person making the tacos knew they were petrified, there is no way that they didn't. They just did not care. The tacos were rendered inedible. Give this place a hard pass unless you're a masochist. read more

Sammi was PHENOMENAL! She went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and if something wasn't right, she was very accommodating. Working in any industry where you're on your feet ALL day and serving people with so many different personalities can be exhausting so I really appreciated her down-to-earth, friendly, and super hospitable personality and service after a very long day. Sammi deserves all the accolades and a really NICE raise (don't be stingy or cheap LOL). Definitely an asset and I hope she thrives in ANYTHING she aspires to do. read more

Would rate 0 if I could. Everytime im in here the staff is so rude. They all whisper and stare, our server didn't even say a word to us. I left a 27% tip just to make a point.. because he KNEW he didn't deserve it. The food is cold every SINGLE time. The alcoholic drinks taste good but that's only because it's missing all the liquor! I had not been to Chili's in years, all I really remembered about it was, it was generic and I didn't really like the food. I was delightfully surprised my Boss Burger was very good, my girlfriend enjoyed her tacos very much. I would give a 5 Star on the food alone. The drinks were another matter, My "Premium Long Island" tasted awful, it was way over powered by some kind of cheap tequila. For a standard summer drink this was over the top bad. The Jalapeño Margarita had good flavor but wasn't the slightest bit spicy, this one was not a loss, with a little tweaking it could be a very good drink. Maybe a spicy one should at least be an option if someone orders Jalapeño any, it's safe to expect a little heat. Service was good, our server was a little awkward but did an excellent job and was very open and honest about menu items which I appreciate a lot. I don't like a server with no opinion. I'm not a huge fan of the atmosphere in these types of chain restaurants but I will be returning to try more items from the menu. read more

The host put me on a 20 minute wait which was not a problem but I heard servers come up to him ask him to seat them and he never did so he's putting them on a wait for no reason. When we sat down we were invited by screaming cooks who I saw 2 servers running around mad while the "manager" watched tv at the bar. Chilis is always a go-to option when we come to traverse city. Today I ordered a triple dipper, and the server initially brought me out the wrong food. The waiter then took it back and returned with a messy plate which also had a hair on it. They took it back again and returned finally with the correct order. After finishing our food our waitress seemed to have disappeared and we sat for 25 minutes waiting for our bill. We then had to go find the manager so he could adjust our bill. read more

I haven't been to a Chilis in years.... But we ended up at this one in Traverse City as my 2 year old nephew was hungry and we had no time to find a quaint local restaurant. I was surprised how how the prices were for the quality of food. They were accommodating with having a 2 year old eating there as it is very family friendly. The server was nice and even brought us an extra refill of milk. I thought the wait to receive our food was too long considering the restaurant was not that filled when we ate Sunday lunch. We enjoyed the Southwest Egg rolls but the 6 pieces did not seem like an adequate amount for an appetizer. I ordered the Choose 3 tacos and picked the shrimp, pork and fish. They were just ok... I did like the slice of avocado on each one. The meal and Rice were bland... Nothing to write home about. Everyone else enjoyed their food. My sister had the Chipolte Chicken Fresh Mex bowl. My nephew loved his kid'a cheese quesadilla but I thought $4.99 was too high for that. This visit reminded me why I don't like chain restaurants.... read more

Good service. Bad food. Ordered the Honey-Chipotle Crispers (per recommendation) and they would've been much more delicious and even tolerable if they hadn't been cold. Another member of my party ordered the Mango Chili Chicken and the chicken was cold with underdone rice. The restaurant was very cold and we weren't allowed to have the temperature adjusted. Both parties complained about the temperature. Our waitress was very kind, even despite the party behind us rough housing and spilling water all over the ground. The restaurant's 2/5 stars rating is generous and a 1/5 is much more fitting. read more
