I don't normally leave these reviews, but after tonight's experience, I really want to. 1) Service: I think the management team at this location needs to either do some training with their servers, or they need to cut some loose. I get that some people have bad days, but leave that drama away from your work, especially if working with people is you job! 2) Do what you say you'll do! As a server you need to be attentive to your customers, that's your one and only job. And this server had three tables, all within arms reach of each other. Very sloppy service tonight. Inexcusable. And please, DO NOT tell me that you've never had a complaint about your service. I call BS on that. The way this server was tonight, it's not the first time! 3) No amount of "refunds", or "free foods", can erase the miserable service we got tonight. Managers at most restaurants don't understand this and is say that the one on duty tonight falls into that category of not getting it. Tonight was my wife's birthday and I cancelled my reservation at Black Angus to bring her to Red Lobster. What a huge, disappointing mistake on my part. And I let the folks at this Red Lobster know that. A special night ruined... for no reason at all! I will never come back to this Red Lobster again. We visited RL last week. We hadn't been here in a long time. Hubs ordered surf n turf. He ordered a medium steak. Instead, his steak was rare. I ordered soup, which tasted canned. I don't know why I consistently give red lobster another chance. Time after time I'm disappointed with not only the mediocre, over-priced food, but even more so the below average customer service. If I'm going to spend $20+ per plate, I expect fresh food that hasn't been left under a hot lamp and a server that doesn't act annoyed by everything and everyone around her. We sat in the bar and "Steph" served us. It was miserable from the get-go and we considered walking out before we even ordered. This will be my last time at red lobster, that's for sure. So let me just begin by saying, "what amazing service!" We came here during lunch hour after my husband's retirement ceremony to celebrate. He orders a beer and I, a wine. The waitress asks for I.D. I then feel compelled to inform her that this man sitting next to me just retired after twenty years of service. She makes a kind remark about hoe young we both looked and then takes our orders. Next thing I know, a lovely complimentary sample of appetizers are brought to our table and a manager comes over to personally thank us for his service! Prior to this, our waitress noticed we appeared to be a bit cramped even for four sitting at our table and comes and extends the tattle leaves so we would have more elbow space. I felt like the whole restaurant shut down to cater to us! I am just pleased that Red Lobster made an occasion such as this memorable and even more special by honoring my husband also. Keep up the great work! And the food, of course, was great as usual! read more

I have to say, we came here this particular night (Friday 11-6-15) because Outback was too crowded and the wait too long. I'm the crab leg lover and had been wanting to get over to Red Lobster since my birthday in June. Finally made it, even if somewhat circuitous! We were told it was a 20 min wait and it just about was, maybe a little less. It was very crowded and busy...but we enjoyed the atmosphere immediately. The wait staff was very nice even while we waited to be seated they nodded and smiled. Anyway, we sat down at a table and JEROME was our waiter. Could not have been a better experience. Jerome was fabulous in every way. Courteous, knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive the entire time, not to mention just a lot of fun! Had the best crab legs I ever ate...sweet, tender, and delicious. Hubby had tilapia and daughter had pasta. Everyone said the same thing - very delicious! We decided to have desert too, I had the chocolate chip lava cookie...OMG!! YUMMMMMM! Hubby had carrot cake - also a hit! Will definitely come back sooner after this meal. Oh, and of course the rolls are always to die for delicious!! Extra thanks to Jerome, and several other of the wait staff that joked with us and made the evening extra special. Went the night before mothers day. Took my mom and dad there for dinner. They were busy I get that but waiting for everything was not cool. Lately service while eating our around town has been getting worse and worse where ever we go. The days of waiting 45 minutes to an hour to get food seem to be the norm these days. However it was refreshing to come in, sit down, get drinks right away, and have food on the table fast. All delivered with a smile and didn't have to ask for anything. We were seated right away. Within seconds a drink order was taken and in a couple minutes we were served. Biscuits and salads were there fast, and we didn't even have time to finish before our food was brought to our table. Although not the cheapest place in town to eat the portions were good and everything tasted great.There are quite a few restaurants that could learn a thing or two from the staff that served us here this evening. They are on the top of my list right now for service for sure, and the food we ordered was good to go. read more

What a great meal! What amazing service! Are you sure we're at the Red Lobster? Yes, indeed! No wait for a table at 3:25pm on a Saturday afternoon, although there were plenty of customers happily dining when we arrived. Clean, clean table and properly set, too! Two forks and a knife (all spotless) nicely rolled in a linen napkin. Our server, Matt, arrived within minutes to take our drink order. Didn't forget the lemon slice, which was floating demurely on top of the ice cold water. Matt explained the variety of ways the fresh tilapia was offered there that day - no cheat sheet, even! I picked the tilapia with asparagus and artichoke, all roasted in a thin papery bag. My husband ordered a NY strip steak, medium well done. Both entrees came with a garden salad. I asked for a glass of red wine, as well. Matt took our orders but wrote nothing down. Good luck with that, I thought. Two shakes of a lamb's tail later, a basket of R.L.'s famous biscuits was set on our table. They were fresh, soft, and warm. A few minutes our salads arrived, his with dressing mixed in and mine on the side, just as we'd ordered them. The lettuce was crisp, as were the cucumber chunks, the tomato bits, croutons, and the red onion. No complaints here - and I'm a big, big salad eater and very, very picky about such things. Our entrees arrived just as we were done with our salads. Coincidence? I think not; rather thanks to the keen attentiveness of our server, Matt. My husband's plate looked very, very appetizing, even to a non-beef eater like me. The broccoli was plentiful, fresh, and beautifully healthily green. The steak was exactly medium well, with just a hint of pink inside and almost tender enough to cut with a sharpish fork. The mashed potatoes were...ok, they were just mashed potatoes, but my husband said they were tasty (but not as tasty as my home-made garlic mashies, he said. Well-trained husband, eh?). Matt worked delicately and diligently to unwrap my fish and veggies without touching even the paper they were wrapped in. What a sweetheart! Talk about presentation appeal - this dish had it to the max! There was a large tilapia filet topped with yummy garnish and 3 perfectly cut lemon slices in a row. It was vegetable with wild rice, not rice with a few veggies thrown in. I could actually see many pieces of artichoke and asparagus among the perfectly cooked wild rice, and it all tasted fantastic! The portions were large - so large that we needed to-go boxes for both plates. For me, that's normal, but for my 245 pound husband, that's NOT the norm. Matt brought the boxes and even moved our leftovers gently into them. Then he asked if we'd like a few fresh biscuits to take home with us. I was astonished! I was amazed! I was thrilled with the whole experience. Recommendation: Go, go, go! to the Red Lobster at the mall in Vancouver. Ask for Matt. You won't find better service at a boutique restaurant - and believe me, I know, as I've dined as many of them all over the country. Yeah, I know I'm gushing, but I really can't help it. My first visit to Red Lobster. LOVED the cheese biscuits. Had shrimp two ways as did my husband. The Walt's fried shrimp with breading and the coconut shrimp were just ok. The atmosphere and staff were fantastic. Our waitress had a large table but served us quickly. I ordered the chicken and pasta dish (I don't eat fish but my hubby does). I actually sent it back as it was so oily I couldn't eat it. They were very nice and offered to make me something else. The manager also came by to apologize. I visited red lobster with my family tonight for a celebration dinner and am incredibly disappointed with this visit . First and foremost I have celiac disease and made it very known to the cashier that nothing fried can come in contact with my food and when my food arrived I could clearly see that fried food was on my plate only for them to remove it leaving the residue on my plate . When I asked the server , with a very frustrated attitude he did not apologize just said he would change it . About 2 mins later if not less He returned with food but clearly just move the same food onto another plate. Trying to still enjoy it to find the crab lobster and broccoli were Ice cold as well as the butter . Again when I told the server he showed his frustration and said I will tell the manager and again no apology . He then never returned until we had to wave him down to pay the Check. The manager did come over and she was very pleasant and apologized sincerely but to find when told some of my meal would be comped for the bad experience she only took $10 off my $30 meal . I recently took a good friend to dinner at the Red Lobster on Vancouver Mall Drive to celebrate his becoming a grandfather for the first time. We were seated right away even though we did not have reservations and were attended almost immediately by the nicest, professional and knowledgeable waiter imaginable. His name on the check is Matthew W. We ordered from their specials for 14.98 each. Everything was very good and we got more food then we could eat. All the way through dinner, Matthew kept his eye on us and provided continual service. I recommend the food, the prices but most of all the waiter, Matthew. My family and I went to red lobster last night again after revisiting it for the first time in YEARS a couple weeks ago. Our first revisit was a great experience. We both ordered mixed drinks and ordered two shots of patron and I ordered the 4 course for 17.99 and he ordered the steak And lobster as both were surprised by how much we loved our food and experience. We were never giant fans but gosh the commercials look so yummy andddd we heard that they are good if we just gave em a second shot. Our drinks were well made our shots were non complainable definetly not an over pour but nothing that was a let down. Last night when we went it was a different scenerio which means our happy excited red lobster days came to an end way too soon. We ordered the exact same thing as the first visit. It just went different. Our shots were no no way even Correctly poured shot. I hate to say I personally feel if we order a fifteen dollar shot to be at least a TINY BIT about it but no we had to say something bc I couldn't ignore that it looked like just a spit amount in the glass gosh if there gunna be that small at least change presentation or size of glass. The waitress said it wasn't her it was the bartenders fault which is true but when we took the shot def was a severe expensive under pour. My wine was good his mixed drink was not st good as the first night and his steak ended up being over cooked. My meal was perfectly fine. Dissapointed by our visit last night just bc we always spend more than a hundred dollars for two ppl (the 8 week old only takes milk;) ) and we feel like we got ripped off.
