I got depressed after the tattoo for a long time. Finally, I found the strength to come up and post a review today! I have ink on my entire body and this was the worst tattoo. The line was crooked and the ink broke under my skin indicating the technique in depositing the ink was wrong! The artist gave my boyfriend a discount after the work because he knew he messed up! I tried so hard to be nice but after 2-3 years I still want to cry everytime I look back at it because it's so bad and it's on my neck. I broke up with my ex because he introduced me to such a horrifying experience. I will have to have it covered up even if I have to black out my entire neck. It was one of the couple tattoos we got. While lining up my ex's neck, he crooked the tattoo in which I reminded him but he got mad! My words to the person who hold up the tattoo gun to ink me 2 years ago: just because you hold it up and know how to run it doesn't make you an artist, just because of a couple hundreds bucks you hurt me intensely because tattooing is holy to me and I treat it as a religion. I am so sorry for trusting you! You obviously don't care about the aftermath.

The consultation process was seamless and although it's very easy to go in and want the ink right out the gate, he ensures he wants to make sure it's what you want before stickin in on skin. The vibe overall is incredible relaxing and I felt comfortable every time I went in. I plan on using Rich going forward for the rest of the tattoos I have planned.

I never turned in any assignments, I never took any tests, I never did any hours in school. The contract states that after you've completed 50% of the program, you are no longer entitled to a refund. The school is now telling me that if i WOULD HAVE come to school, I would be over 50% done... Trying to use verbiage like they gave me materials and homework which if i completed would have put me at the 50% completion point -- but they have zero documentation of me completing anything. On my student file it would say i've completed 0 hours and 0 tests and 0 assignments. It is quite obvious that this is a scam, you can't lie and say someone received an education they didn't, just to keep their money. Education institutions CANNOT do this.

I have gotten used to them and am exceedingly happy to have had them done. I needed some tweaking as most people do so I went back today for that. There was not any major fixing that needed to be done but she went over a few of the areas that needed a little more color or a little less color. She evened things out. They now look Perfect I am so happy with them. I may have to go back in a year or two for an update but other than that I am good to go. And if you are depressed you should go see Alli. Her personality will have you smiling before you leave the building.

We talked about what I wanted before and at the appointment, I was NOT shown examples/photos at that time and aside from stating I wanted them to look more natural, I let her lead this is her area of expertise.... After my initial appointment (pic 2) of several hours, I was told I needed to come back for a touch up in 4 weeks. Of course, look picture 2!! Now I've paid over $800. My eyebrows look ridiculous. (Pic 3) After reaching out with my disappointment I was told "yeah come for yet another 'touch up', reduced charge of $150 for set up fee", she never even asked to see a photo for reference - I argued that fee, being my eyebrows looked awful. It shouldn't take 3 visits, but it should definitely be great after that many! In all of this I was told different after care instructions from one appointment to the next due to oily skin. Okay, you are the professional & I am going to take your instruction. Now she has had 2 appointments to get it right, & get a feel for my skin. Having to go back that 3rd time, after looking at my brows there was embarrassment because she could see what a fail it was. She was apologetic & admitted it was not great work. When I left that 3rd time, I was happy they appeared better/fuller. I waited for healing and as that process went on, I knew there was an issue. Once fully healed, one brow is a different size, they don't blend and just look cheap. (pic 4) This is absurd. I reached out yet again. She brought up doing a different kind of brow all together - why was this not brought up in the 2nd/3rd appointment??? She was insistent that I didn't mention anything wrong. How could I have really known yet, I was waiting for the healing to be done before saying anything. I blocked her number because I was done with the long winded messages telling me how great she is, how she stands behind her work, she knows what she's doing, making excuses & being very defensive as if somehow this is MY fault - she then started texting me from another number 7 more texts. How extremely unprofessional. The thing is, in the text she makes it very clear that due to old ink and oily skin a 'powder brow' is the only way to effectively cover up old work. Why was this not explained to begin with??? I 100% would have opted for that, even if I wasn't quite as "natural".. The hair strokes offered no additional blending, I didn't know that. It makes zero sense & it is very frustrating to feel like I'm being milked for money to do a job correctly. The unprofessional attitude, the continued cost, the just plain failure that I am stuck with on my face is damn embarrassing especially because I paid so much. I would not recommend Dovetail if you have any previous ink, or oily skin. Clearly she doesn't think she can give any kind of remotely natural powder brow - which by her own admission is the only way to cover up old ink. Thank for not disclosing that. I've heard it all, and have the texts & screenshots. No excuses are valid. I cannot be blamed, I am not the pro just person paying for cheap PMU. In all of her ranting and blame shifting she never even asked to SEE what I was talking about, yet again. I thought she was a professional, in every way she showed she is not. There is no response that can validate the job I paid over $800 for. None.
