Didn't notice the place at first but crowded parking when we eat pho 54 the other day forced us to park all the way in the back, the moment I see the restaurant, I told my girl friend to give that place a try next time. Fast forward 2 days later, we finally give this place a try, the moment you walk in, this lady greeted us with the most passionate smile, an instant smile when you walk in and you will still smiling when you sit down is something not every restaurant can do, you can tell they run this place with love. The food was phenomenal, everything was on point, oysters were well seasoned so you don't need lime at all. The hand rolls were crunchy and crisp, I was surprised at first bite. The sashimi was cut to a very good bite size, not thick and not thin, nailed it in the middle. And the sushi was very good, I like it when they not putting too much rice to make it look big because too much rice will bored you out on the sushi then you just eat the topping and throw the rice away, very good bite size that won't bored you out. Overall, very nice little place in OC, never expect the impression to be this strong, I might not have to drive far anymore to my usual sushi place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

The sashimi was heavily coated in what tasted like margarine, completely overwhelming the natural flavor of the fish. It was difficult to enjoy, and I couldn't bring myself to finish the garlic edamame--the sauce reminded me more of something you'd find on chicken wings than a Japanese appetizer. Some creative liberties with the menu, like kiwi on a sushi roll, felt more confusing than innovative. Additionally, the dining room was extremely loud, with patrons shouting over each other. I left with ringing ears. The staff's presentation and demeanor didn't inspire much confidence in the authenticity or professionalism of the sushi preparation. Overall, this establishment seems to prioritize flash over substance. I hope they consider revisiting their approach, as the current experience doesn't feel sustainable in the long run. read more

Trying the new restaurant Red Sake was a true 5-star experience from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, the modern and cozy atmosphere set the tone. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and seated me quickly, making me feel instantly welcomed. The menu had a wide variety of sushi, noodles, and signature Asian fusion dishes, and everything looked amazing. I decided to try the chef's special roll and a bowl of spicy miso ramen, and both dishes were bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. Let's just say I made embarrassing noises in public and regret nothing. Our server, Kenji, was a sushi poet--describing each dish with such passion I considered switching careers. The omakase was a thrilling rollercoaster of flavor, including one piece topped with gold leaf and something that looked like a sea unicorn horn (delicious, whatever it was). Absolutely amazing sushi experience! The fish was incredibly fresh (there was a tank with live sweet shrimp) every bite was perfect, and the presentation was truly out of this world! Almost too pretty to eat. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The decor is vibrant and creates the perfect atmosphere for both date nights and family outings (definitely kid-friendly too!). We had a large party and they were able to accommodate us, no problem.
