Ordered a chicken parm sandwich to go, found out when I opened it I got something else with no sauce and with bacon on it. To their credit, it was a decent sandwich, but I'd prefer to get what I ordered. Portion of fries included with it was small, but good. The fried pickles I ordered were terrible - soggy. Their beer prices were not so great - I can do better, it turns out, in either of the two working-man bars that are much closer to me in Newtown, and I'd get better food. Disappointing. Atmosphere was quite ordinary - though I WAS pleased that it wasn't hellishly loud in there. Bartender was also a nice lady. If I didn't have to eat or drink there, I'd enjoy the place ;) read more

Sarah is a great bartender and the food has been great at every visit. Especially the Pub Cheesesteak and the Nachos.

I happened to be in this area having my car repaired and Silvio's was a much further walk so I settled on this place for lunch. Both entrances are solid steel doors, very uninviting. It was very dark inside and much bigger than you would think. The place looks dated and definitely needs a make over. I noticed a second bar in the back that looked like it had not been used in quite a while. They had dartboards, a pool table and a couple games of chance machines. The stained glass windows and the overall looks of this place made me feel like I was in the King's Court from the movie Donnie Brasco. The take out area needs a good house cleaning. It had several coolers of beer, some craft and pretty much matched their beer menu and a bunch of junk in the back area. You have to pay for any take out at the bar. This is a smoking bar, lucky for me only 5 other patrons were there so it wasn't that smoky. Although this place has all the looks and feel of a local dive, their craft beer menu wasn't too bad, and the bartender was a nice guy. He recommended the Italian chicken cheesesteak wrap for lunch. It had spinach, cheese which made the wrap a little soggy and drippy and very finely cut chicken. It was greasy, but edible. The fries that came with it were good. Beer wise I enjoyed a Funk Silent Disco in a can which was fresh, served in clean glassware and a tad overpriced. If your in a situation like I was this place was doable, but I wouldn't go out of my way! read more

This place has remade itself with an eclectic menu and updated decor (new to us, anyway), although I would still call it a sports bar. We were there recently for brunch. Hubby had Italian pork sandwich, that he thought was fantastic. They used spinach instead of broccoli rabe, and served with a tasty au jus. I had the breakfast burrito, which I loved. We both had a glass of sangria...he had red, I had white...both very tasty. Hubby got a taste of the scrapple fries; if you like scrapple, you will love these! That Sunday, they had a guitarist which we greatly enjoyed, but be aware the age of the crowd requested mostly songs from the 70's thru the 90's, which suited us just fine. He did a great rendition of Jimi Hendrick's The Watch Tower. Service by Tom was attentive and friendly, Spaz the chef came out to chat. Homey, comfy atmosphere...we will be back. read more

I was pleasantly surprised. Food was great. I got the steak tacos- two tacos stuffed with steak, cilantro, onions and lime aoli. Wings were crispy and sauced just right. My bartender, Sara, was personable and knowledgeable of the menu. I went on a Saturday with my husband and watched a live band. Great night out for us. Will be coming back. read more

So much has changed in the past year at this place! I highly recommend it now! The bar is now non-smoking, which is awesome. The food is delicious - I highly recommend a burger or fried chicken sandwich for lunch/dinner. And brunch is great too! I love the chicken and waffle skewers, avocado toast, and huevos rancheros. Not to mention a great draft selection and delicious cocktails. They have a big projector and games are always on. Friendly staff and Covid protocols are being followed. What a difference. What used to be a smoking dive is now a beautiful lovely establishment. Food is excellent. Huge portions at a reasonable price. Highly recommend trying it out. Oh and Melanie is one the best bartenders I've met. read more

I come here on a regular basis because I like the service from the bartenders and the ambience. However, I went there on a Saturday night and a woman at the door wanted to charge me a. Over after the band had been done playing. I just left. Another time I was there, some people came in to get beer to take out. They decided to have a drink while they were there. It was obvious they were not there for the band. The band was even on break. However, this door person cane running over to charge them each a cover. The bands that play here aren't even worth the cover to begin with. I would avoid this place on a Friday or Saturday night when there is a band. Otherwise, it's a nice local bar. read more

where to start: i had hopes that it would have been a decent hole in the wall spot. but rolling up to this place was sketchy af. no lit signs, 3 door later you finally find the open one, a parking lot on a hill that will make scrap up the bottom of your car....i'm all for local spot, but what did i get myself into. once inside, i was tracked down by unfriendly staff to pay cover for my friends band (which is fine, but be polite please. we're here to drink, listen to music, and be merry). my friends and i finally were able to find a less smoky spot in there in a very dimly, lit corner by a second unmanned bar. The place has an old school charm of a local dive that hadn't been touched probably since '92... out dated finishes, tvs, a weird stage that we legit.thought could have for a strip club. On top of that, everything except the ashtrays and thr women's bathroom was in need of a deep clean. i will say though, the food was decent. I had hoped for a better experience, especially to see local band showcase their talents. Guess I'll take that search else where. read more

This is a great bar/pub. I have been here before and it's a great place to go either alone or with friends. There's a large selection of beer on tap, various types of liquor and wine, and the staff are friendly. It's also a great venue for local bands or DJs to play. read more
