Finally tried this spot out. So glad we did! I didn't take advantage of their beer special, but they def had some great local options! The crust was great, so many toppings to choose from! not a bad pie but not great either. Maybe I am too harsh since I live outside New Haven and have the best pizza in the country in my back yard. I also grew up in NJ and was raised on boardwalk slices and trips to NYC for pizza. I mean, my account picture is a New Haven pizza, so you know where my affinity is. This may be the best pizza in the area and I'm glad it was close to my hotel. It's a thin crust. More like a pita consistency than an actual dough. The flatbread was crisp, the cheese was placed randomly, and it had green pesto sauce splattered on that my friend liked and I didn't really. I still enjoyed it though. The waitress we had was nice, and she replaced my friend's mom's sprite after she revealed that the syrup hadn't worked. The bathrooms were quite funky looking (not in a necessarily bad way), and the toilet was a little wobbly. It's a super fun and chill hang out drinking and pizza place. The inside seating is small so most of the seating is outside. There is shade, tons of huge fans, and lots of tvs though. And I love this pizza. It's a thin crust without being too thin and hard and it actually has flavor unlike a lot of pizza places. Their wings are good. Lots of topping options and pasta and salads and sandwiches. It's a very chill environment and they have great beer taps. Bring your growler on Tuesdays to get filled. This is the best pizza place and all of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. The closest pizza I can think of to compare this to would be the old godfather back in the 1970s and 80s in the area. They have a fine in area and an outside dining area and also takeout and a drive-through window I come here a lot and get the takeout take & bake pizzas they are out of this world my family loves them. When you are in the area or you just want to eat a good pizza Red Zepplin is your place. We had two girls that claimed to be our waitress which was confusing because I didn't know who to ask for what. Cold pizza, which doesn't make sense because it's down the street and around the corner. And the pizza was very thin. Maybe I got a bad day. I went outside the box and ordered the Bou-Ray I didn't really pick up much on the alligator sausage but the Tasso is amazing on the pizza. The ingredients seem to be perfectly balanced and the red onion is a great touch. The pickled jalapeños add just the right amount of heat and the pizza crust is perfectly light and crispy. This is a really solid place to get pizza. It's right by the Bulldog so you can easily hop to the next place. We tried a couple of their specialty pizzas, but I think you'd be happiest just picking your own toppings from your favorite pizza to see if you like them. We got a simple pepperoni, our staple, and it was so good we came the next day to try more pizzas. I ABSOLUTELY love the Caprese salad. It's different, but in a good way. We also recently tried the take and bakes -- WORTH IT. Bake it on the tray they give you for 10 minutes and then finish it off on the rack by itself so the crust crisps up.
