The food portions were not even enough for a toddler. "Catfish" were very small pieces. The workers weren't very welcoming at all. Usually, the combo purchase comes with a free daiquiri. We had to bring it up to the worker, else he wouldn't have advertised that it comes with a free daiquiri. Also, didn't mention that certain sides were at additional cost. I had to try this place once I saw how long their line was at the fried chicken fest. They have a drive thru but I went inside since I wasn't familiar with the menu. I was excited to give this spot a try because Popeyes has been my good to for fried chicken, and I wanted something new. When I went through the drive-thru, the food menu was not displayed, only the daiquiris. I like to make my decision before I get to the window. I was given a menu at the window. The wait wasn't too long, so I was hoping the chicken wouldn't be cold. I ordered spicy, dark chicken. The pieces were big and juicy, but the seasoning was not spicy at all. The chicken was also dark and fried hard. That's an indicator that the grease is old. For sides I had red beans and macaroni and cheese. The portion sizes were ideal and they tasted good. The red beans were very creamy. I probably won't go back, but there has been a good bit of traffic there. I wish them the best. read more

Red bird chicken was a phenomenal place to eat at the chicken was fresh and hot. Very delicious. They had many side items to choose from. Which they allowed us as first timers sample some of the items which I thought that was very nice and generous Brandon and Eric you couldn't ask for better customer service with those guys. Great chicken spot that doubles as a daiquiri shop. The chicken is really good and priced well. The fries are great as well. The service was amazing and I saw them treat every customer well. They threw 2 extra tenders in as well. The fried rolls are also crazzzzyyyy!! The store itself is exactly what you would expect from a place that has good chicken. Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. I really had high hopes from them especially since I've had them at the Metairie location and fried chicken fest. It is night and day. First the customer service was terrible, the first employe was sitting on the counter on her phone and the other was very dry when taking the order. Secondly they have chicken that was out on display and looked extremely dry and old. I had to ask for fresh chicken, which she stated 13 minutes but that was way better than that. Totally different experience from the Metairie location where the chicken was made fresh to order. The Mac and cheese was rubbery and dry I didn't even eat it. The was scared to get any sauces because the pumps for the sauces were filthy. I use to be excited about going to redbird and was looking forward to trying this location. They have bought disgrace to the redbird name and it's such a shame. Would not recommend going here to anyone again. read more

The service was terrible, they ran a ad in clipper magazine and no know knew how to scan the coupon. I waited 15 minutes to order as the people in front of me had a coupon and it took over 15 minutes, they had to get someone on the phone. When it was my turn the Order taker told me he didn't know how to process the coupon. I wasted a good 20 minutes and finally walked out to never go back again. Was excited to try this new place. Then I walked in! The restaurant was not clean and the "dining" area was a joke and in complete disarray. The smell of burnt old grease was powerful! The chicken was very bland and the cost is a bit more pricy than it should be. The final point I'd like to make is that the workers (one may be the owner) were NOT friendly. Service is pretty good. The chicken isn't seasoned enough, but it has the best crunch factor along with most sides. The gumbo..I do not recommend. It had a bitter taste. The daiquiris are courtesy of Cajun Daiquiris and are pretty good, but they do not have some flavors at Redbird's as they have only a few machines. read more

Sorry to see this place has mixed reviews. I think the fried chicken, fries, onion rings, rolls and the Watermelon daiquiris are really good. I go at least once a week. A little more expensive than Popeyes but way more consistent. The service is great. They definitely have earned my business! read more
