A friend and I stopped by at 4:30 last Saturday after golf. The patio looks fabulous and spacious. No tables were available on the patio so we sat at the empty patio bar. Bar stools seemed to be socially distant. Over the course of one hour the patio filled up and social distancing was non-existent. Diners waiting for tables flooded the bar, even ordering from the server area at the bar. The bartenders should not have served guests from the server area. Guests not wearing masks tried to cut to the bar between my friend and I. Service was okay; after receiving my dinner no one checked to see if we needed anything. Our bartender disappeared and we had to flag another one down to request our check. If you are seeking a location practicing appropriate social distancing I would suggest avoiding the Red Hawk. read more

Band sucked. Food on our party was cold, greasy and gross. Waitresses are attentive and spot on about ordering drinks and removing old ones. We were in the patio loved the atmosphere and decor. Bathroom was small and floors wet. Could use more attention. I think if you can overlook the issues and correct those, this would be a fantastic place. read more

We used to love going to Red Hawk because the food quality used to be so good. Tonight we got Stuffed Pretzels that the kids love, and they were empty. A hole, but no cheese...? And the chicken on the chicken wrap was very dry. I hope this id a one off and we don't lose one our favorite places. read more

My favorite restaurant in the Painesville, Concord area! Best combination of great food and great service. Wings are the best I've found anywhere in this area...and I have been trying them everywhere. Chicken Marsala is my favorite dinner item. To begin we had waited 90+ minutes for a table for 7. We were moved out of an area because of a private party (understandable) where we were just standing on the outside edges with our 7yr old. We then noticed several tables left and Jarrod the manager told my boyfriend we have a spot. When looking we thought it was two four top tables. As we waited there was an 8 person table before us that had been there 2 hours waiting. We go to sit at the table and Jarrod thought it was ok to get 7 people at a freaking 4 person round table (48") and then proceeded to say he needed to get a 10 top (that JUST walked in) right behind us where it would fit a normal 7 top comfortable. I told the manager that is ridiculous to shove 7 people at a 4 person comfortable table and then let a 10 top that JUST WALKED IN get a normal table that would fit 7!! As I mentioned several times to the manager this is ridiculous he told us take it or leave it! We said we are leaving and he did not care as I told him again that it was ridiculous and he had to have common sense that we would not fit he attacked me saying I don't know what I am talking about and to leave. Jarrod said then attacked my boyfriend saying I have no clue what I am talking about that I am being ridiculous! Not smart to tell someone that their significant other is wrong! We will not be back again even after we go quite a bit! read more

The Red Hawk is a great place to grab a bite if you're in the area. We were passing through on our way to NY for a ski trip and we stopped off here. First, it's like two places in one, the bar/lounge area is separated from a quaint dining room. We opted for the quieter dining room option. The place had a good ambiance, or vibe to it. The food and service were both outstanding for the price. I had the spicy burger which wasn't overly spicy, but had a little kick. The burger itself was excellent. There were also pierogies, which were home made and also excellent. Overall a very positive experience and I would definitely stop here again. read more

I am always disappointed when I go to a restaurant, order a dish, and upon tasting it realize it is frozen food. I went there for a casual lunch and found the food to be average to below average. If you like reheated frozen food or burned burgers, this is your place. read more

Actually make that 2.5 stars. They have a nice patio with plenty of seating which was the main reason we chose to come here for a late dinner. The menu is your typical, run of the mill bar and grille menu with burgers, salads, appetizers, etc. The mediocrity was apparent when the food arrived at the table. I chose the Harvest Salad which was described as having "crisp field greens, goat cheese..." , the dish I was served had iceberg lettuce (yuck!!) and was quite small for the $10 price tag. My dining partner had the tilapia with mango salsa which was very tasty. The service was attentive and prompt as well. If your looking for drinks and some appetizers this place will work, but if your looking for anything more I'd skip it. read more

We had a great lunch here. It was crowded in the patio and slightly filled inside. Service was great. The hamburger was a large portion size. The fries have a coating on them that I didn't care for. The fish and chips was great. The fish batter is different. It is slightly sweet. Great location to have conversation. Sinning room is not loud. read more

Great service, mediocre food. My business team of 6 was visiting from Georgia to look at a piece of production equipment. The steaks that 2 of us ordered paled in comparison to what was they ate at TGI Fridays chain last night...The well done steak NY strip was tender at TGI Fridays and tough at Red Hawk. The Cajun praline pecan crusted orange roughy tasted very bland and was not crusted...simply had toasted pecan pieces on top that did not seem pralined to me...big let down. The wine was good and the I enjoyed the butternut squash soup even though it was very thick. Won't repeat this outing. Perhaps our palates are just used to more flavor in the south? food is okay. We have eaten here a few times, never really impressed with the service or the way the place was operated. Our Last time in, we sat ourselves at a bar table, without help - big mistake. Note: no one was at the door to greet us, no sign stating "wait to be seated"... and we sat down in a not very busy bar area. A waiter came over, greeted us and smacked the back of her hand into the palm of her other hand while shaking her head ~ letting us know we were wrong to have seated ourselves. A few minute later she dropped off menus and said "welcome to your first time eating at a restaurant" The first expression would have been "okay". The second was way over the top. Went with a groups of friends my onion soup was excellent my brother-in-law was served chili out of the fridge, he said it was stone cold. My fiancée had gravy that tasted like it was out of a jar! Pretty good joint here. The service was great. Very pleased with the Harvest Salad I ordered - Great size serving for the money and the salad was delightful. Love when I order goat cheese on the salad that they break it up for me, I hate when it's a huge chunk. I had the honey-lime dressing on the side and was happy with that as well. read more

Great place to go and unwind with friends. The atmosphere is inviting and all of the staff I encountered were great! Super fast and friendly service, especially for a very busy Friday night. I ordered the Cuban and it was really good. The meat was delicious and everything was put together perfectly. Our wait time was much shorter than I expected and our waitress was fantastic with making sure we were doing well and had plenty to drink. Very average food. Not bad, not good. First time, had the fish and chips. Fish was pretty good, chips were ok. Second time, I ordered the Mac and cheese. Um, not good. The mac and cheese would have been a lot better without the goldfish cracker crumbs, which gives it a horrible artificial cheese flavor. Ugh! Revisit this idea, chef, es no bueno. We celebrated my mom's 80th birthday at Redhawk and it was fabulous! We reserved the back patio area and they provided the food and drinks. The servers were wonderful and Chris (event coordinator) was very accommodating. The food was very good and the setting was perfect. We were able to decorate and bring a cake, and Redhawk did the rest! I would recommend this place to anyone! Well done, folks! read more

We were spending the night at a nearby motel, they recommend the"Redhawk Grille". The parking lot was jammed. Was there on 9/15/18, 7:42 pm, Saturday night. Hard to find but was worth it. We didn't know they had an outdoor bar where the live entertainment was. The crowd was outside, not in. Had short wait, inside. Wife Ordered a reubin pierogie, I had a "Coulette it was a steak tip, very good with a baked potato. Reubin was just so so. Michele, the waitress was very helpful and attentive. Will never be back. Worst service in the world. I am not one to post bad service, but this is the worst I have ever had!!!!!!!!!! Do not recommend this place. I used to come here often and we thought we would try it again. Never again!!! To explain what happened is that my wife and I were told there would be an hour wait for a table. We went to the bar and stood by the bar while the bartender was looking for a pair of glasses that were lost because she wiped them off the bar. While we waited a good 5 to 10 minutes two seats opened at the bar. We moved to the two seats. We then waited another 10-15 minutes while the bartender took care of everyone who walked up to the bar and totally ignored us. My wife tried to get the attention of the other bartender after she found the glasses. Finally another guy at the bar pointed out we needed service to the bartender and we got our drinks and asked for menus. At this point we were ignored again. We asked again for menus and finally got them. At this point we were ignored again. We finished our drinks and placed our menus aside. The bartender ignored us and was putting glasses into the cooler. After another 10 minutes she finally came over by us and started again with helping people walking up to the bar. At one point a lady and her husband asked the bartender if they did something to offend her because bartender was so rude with them. The bartenders response was "can't you see we're busy". At this point I asked for my check and the bartender said I would have to wait and went back to serving people walking up to the bar. I told her I was tired of waiting and told her to get my "f'ing check". I never called her a "f'ing Bitch" like the manger says in his reply to my review. (Which my attorney will address with the owner.). The guy that was sitting next to me said "I don't blame you for being upset, you did get horrible service". When I told the manager about the situation he did not seem to care at all. That is what happened but I didn't feel the need to go into such detail until the GM felt the need to lie about me. I am sure there will be some recourse to correct the GMs actions for attacking my character rather than addressing the problem. 9/6/2015 Update..... The response that was written to me from the Redhawk was removed. I have been in discussions with the general manager and it was explained to me he did not respond to the message and that one of the other managers did and signed the GMs name to it. LOVE the Red Hawk - the managers, host/hostesses, servers always take excellent care of our meetup group and myself & all the other members of my group have never once been disappointed with our service or our meals. I've had nearly everything on the menu - all of it delicious and all large portions. I also love that they have a late night menu. Although the patio is fantastic (as long as no smokers come in -for some reason this place must be above the OH law that states smoking is illegal on patios with food) - the food and drinks leave a lot to be desired. It is similar to Panini's food but more expensive. It should be listed as $$$$ not $$ as it is extremely overpriced for the quality of food - especially considering the lesser priced options next door such as Pub Frato where the food and drinks are far superior. In fact- for an equal priced option nearby - check out John Palmers where the prices are the same as Red Hawk however the food matches the price (gourmet quality). 4$ long islands on Saturday, I had one that was phenomenal. For appetizers we had our complimentary bread with our meal that had a sweet butter to go with it and some jalapeño pretzel bites which were also very delicious. I also had their clam chowder and a sandwhich with portabello mushrooms on it. This was my first trip to this restaurant and will not be my last ! Right off the highway, Redhawk Grill seems to be a pretty popular hangout. Their outside patio is glorious with a full service bar, water feature, and plenty of tables. We opted for takeout, but had a drink while we waited. The bartender and patrons were all extremely friendly, offering us tips for the area during our short visit. I had an awesome chocolate martini while waiting for my meal. They were able to let me order from the kids menu since I'm a vegetarian. I went with the kids macaroni and cheese with a side of vegetables and another side of sweet potato fries (vacation means extra food right?). The macaroni was great, but the sweet potato fries could have used some more salt or ketchup, don't forget to ask for condiments if you order take out! Next time I'll try the dessert too, I think I see cheesecake in my future! read more

Really good food and service! My sister and I split the Maytag chips appitizer and the smoked brisket melt. Both were outstanding! I could have eaten the maytag chips all by myself! The staff was very friendly. The patio was gorgeous!!! It is now probably my favorite patio in Cleveland. Beautifully landscaped with a waterfall/pond and fireplace for chilly nights. If you like big food, you are gonna love the Red Hawk. The portions are huge, and the food has always come out hot and tasty! The service is very good and the place is clean. They have a full service bar, with seating in the bar and the main dining room, so if you want a quiet meal, sit in the main dining room. The bar is a vibrant and busy spot, so if you like it a little noisier, the bar is for you! All in all, it is a pretty great place for a meal.
