It was a little chilly when we got to the pier and I stopped here for coffee. The Americano and their espresso were fabulous!! Later we stopped for dinner. Bread bowl with clam chowder was a fan favorite, popcorn shrimp comes with fries and coleslaw very good, and their Cajun shrimp plate, comes with rice and a green salad was very good. Very spicy but also very flavorful dish. For dessert we got some soft serve cones to go. The staff was super friendly, kept everything very clean and tidy and even though they were closing soon they said it would fine for us to dine in. We really appreciated being able to sit down and have a bite before the long trek home. The chefs were fantastic! Great job we will definitely be coming back to see you soon! This place is located towards the end of the pier and has great views of the sunset and the menu seems to have a lot to offer. We were talking about going back just for breakfast! In a cool spot right at the end of the pier, you get a cool view. I had the chorizo plate. This place is okay. Not amazing but there's nothing wrong with that. Your coming for the location and if u want breakfast food on the pier this is the only place that serves it. For the love of god do not get the Ice Blended toffee coffee. Totally great breakfast. Most of the restaurants were seafood, tacos, carnival food, or closed. All I wanted was a simple, All-American breakfast. This place wasn't busy and it was open. They are at the center of the pier and overlooking the water and facing the Peninsula. Our server was nice and welcoming and our food was easy to order, prompt with the food, and a good portion. I had waffle breakfast and husband had eggs benedict. I would definitely eat here again if I'm in the area. read more

The best mussels dish I've ever had!! I got the spicy garlic mussels that came with garlic bread, and it was perfect. The spicy level was perfect. Taste was superb and addicting. I wanted more bread pieces to dip into the sauce. The mussels had a lot of flavor thanks to that sauce. I got half a pound for myself. The waitress was so nice and friendly. Inside wasn't the most modern and didn't feel so clean, but instead it had the old diner feel which isn't a big deal to me. If anyone ever asks me for the best mussels dish, I would gladly drive them 45 minutes to get it here! read more

I loved coming here because you can enjoy your food with a beautiful ocean view. The first couple of times I came, the food was good, especially the shrimp dish. Unfortunately, a good restaurant should have consistency, and my most recent experience was completely different. I ordered the same shrimp dish, but this time it tasted nothing like I remembered. The shrimp wasn't cooked all the way, so I had to ask them to cook it again. It was also overly salty and just didn't taste the same. I'm not sure if there was a different chef that day, but the quality was very disappointing. What made the experience even worse was the customer service. The girl working there was rude, and when I brought up the issue and asked for a manager, I didn't feel like they really cared or tried to address my concerns. It's disappointing because I really enjoyed coming here before, especially for the ocean view and food. But after this experience, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

I didn't have the chance to try any food at the Redondo Beach Coffee Shop, but it looks like a nice casual beach restaurant. I stopped by for a latte, they don't have any flavors so if you prefer adding syrups this may not be the coffee shop for you. There was only 1 server and she was a gem. Super friendly and misheard me that I wanted my latte iced (which is an up charge that I did not know about) she refused to let me pay the extra money and told me it was no problem. Over all if you need caffeine definitely come here because my drink was 80% espresso 20% milk which definitely woke me up. I hope to come by and try their food one day. read more

All of our items were received within 5 minutes. This place is located on the pier and it was nice to watch all the people fishing. There are benches located around the pier to eat and sit. I have been coming to this restaurant for decades and cannot understand why it is not much busier. The location at the end of the Redondo pier contains fantastic breathtaking views from Palos Verdes through the Santa Monica Bay. It was also a primary filming location for one of the most popular television shows of the 2000s. It is typical diner food, with a few menu additions, pretty well done, really good breakfasts. It's about a dollar or two more expensive than going to a similar place in a nondescript location, but the location, views, and television landmark are certainly worth a couple of bucks. The workers here are all very nice and provide solid dining service. One of my favorite spots in the beach community for many years. read more

A really nice spot to visit for little treats, the drinks and ice cream are really good here along with a pretty view. However the service at this place has really gone downhill. We were waiting first in line at the usual place they'll take the orders and waited, a guy cut ahead in line and they didn't pay any attention to us and went to take his order before us. Another guy followed behind him and they helped the 3rd guy before they even paid attention to us despite being first in line. The two working there, one guy and a girl, were very slow at taking orders and even slower to make our orders which were just 2 drinks. I think it was the girls first week or something and they were doing her training while we were ordering and waiting, so I don't blame her, I more so blame whoever is in charge for not having more trained workers to help out because waiting around for 20 minutes for 2 drinks is a bit much. It didn't help that they didn't get 1 of the drinks right which made it take even longer. Even after they gave us the right drink, it wasn't made as shown on their menu. I ordered a White Chocolate Frappuccino with boba. If you've seen their boba menu, you can see the drink has whip cream topped with chocolate drizzle. They gave it to me without it, but they already disappointed us so I didn't bother to fix it a 3rd time. As longtime customers for years, we were severely disappointed. I came here for a late breakfast but didn't want to eat the usual breakfast fare so I ordered the spicy garlic mussels and it was ridiculously good. A big dish full of medium to large mussels in a sauce that was garlicky, spicy and a little sweet to balance the heat. I ordered the large one so it came with many mussels that I shared with my family. They also offer the usual breakfast fare like eggs, pancakes and bacon if you're in the mood for that. read more

My fiance' and I were here for the first time on a weekday late morning. A couple of people were leaving as we were entering, so we were the only ones in the place for the majority of our meal. The waitress was nice, but again, we were the only customers in the place. I ordered the seafood combo plate and my fiance' ordered the french toast breakfast with eggs, bacon, and sausage. He liked his food fine. Mine, on the other hand, which consisted of one fried fish piece, clams, two shrimp, calamari, soggy, too-sweet cole slaw, and crinkly fries was flavorless, dried out, and the clams were burned. The fish, which I got the least amount of was the best in terms of moistness. They need to add some zesty seasoning to the fry batter. Sadly, the fries were the best thing overall, cooked just right. This was not worth the $41 price! The furniture in the place was old and needs a good cleaning or replacing and my fiance' said the bathroom stunk! (He didn't go until the very end before we left.) I've eaten at 3 of these Redondo Beach Pier restaurants in the last several months to a year and none of them are that good in flavor. read more

This is a favorite breakfast spot of ours. It's a simple little diner with great views of the water, pier, and all the fisherman. Service has always been excellent. Three sips of coffee and they're there to fill it back up. The breakfast menu gives lots of choices-- everything from a simple egg, toast, and potatoes for about $7 to french toast to pancakes to a variety of omelets. Healthy choices and not-so-healthy choices. :) The food has been consistently good. It's nothing ultra-special, but if you want a good breakfast and a place to relax and take your time and people-watch, this is the spot. They accept credit cards, unlike Polly's on the Pier which is cash only. No outdoor seating. read more

As a big fan of "The OC", I've always wanted to come here and was thrilled the table they filmed at often was empty. I was on vacation in Orange County and drove up here. The waitress was very nice and everything was made really fast. Perfect cheap diner food which turned out to be one of the best breakfasts/meals I've had in a while. This place is TERRIBLE. What an experience. First of all, it's super loud in there because you have all the fisherman screaming outside and talking, which blocks most of the nice view of the water. My wife and I showed up at 10:20 and they opened at 10:30. We were the first ones in I asked for coffees and a minute to decide what we wanted to eat. I noticed a guy walk in and sit down about 5 minutes after we arrived and got his coffee. The girl came back and took our order and I asked if I could please have coffee she said yes no problem sorry. About 10 minutes go by and I still don't have coffee. I then get up after I see her pouring the other gentleman more coffee so I walked to the counter and I said this is ridiculous I've asked for coffee about 15-20 minutes ago and I still don't have any. Our order came out and I could've cooked a better meal at my house. The cook brought my wife's out and said I know you asked for no mushrooms but will you eat it or should I throw it out and make you a new one. My wife felt bad apparently and said no I'll just eat it. Almost finished with my meal and I noticed a hair in it. I was done, I've about had it. We ordered a couple things and they didn't have it. Fried clams! This place is my go-to when visiting the Redondo Pier and I finally checked in for once to give a brief review. This restaurant is located on the right towards the end of the pier. I always grab a plate of fried clams and out of some sort of sense of loyalty, I only grab them here despite there being multiple places on the pier that prepares fried clams. This is probably due to the fact that this is the first place I've had them on the pier as a teen. I love the taste and the claims are prepared fresh. Being next to the ocean they better be lol. I've never had a bad batch and they're always nice & crunchy. Squeeze the lemon juice over them and you''re really in business. The fries are just standard but that's fine since the clams are the only thing I really eat from the plate. I find it strange that this place is labeled a coffee shop since the menu has minimal coffee listings and majority seafood plates. Went to Cali the past weekend for vacation. This place was incredibly easy to find as it's right on the edge of the pier. Sat down and everyone was so friendly, from both the management and the person working the front desk. Our party ordered a multitude of foods that I wish I could remember. Something in particular that stands out was their omelets. I'm not the biggest fan of omelets but the owner seemed to really care about her menu and recommended that as well as what I think was fried calamari/ French Fry bowl. The calamari's were great but the Seafood omelet is what got me. That thing was gigantic and delicious. I can see why this place is so popular as even their coffee was amazing and my cup was never empty. I suck at fishing and have no patience, but having a shop like this right next to a fishing area is a Godsend. 5+ Stars for me! read more

I've routinely made the Redondo Beach Coffee shop my regular breakfast spot for the last few years. However, on the last TWO occasions, we've been served food with mold on it. Last visit on my Dads sandwich and again this morning on my French Toast. This place is absolutely disgusting and I will not be returning. The place is filthy, the bathrooms sink don't have hot water (health inspection?!) and the amount of dust on everything is at least a quarter inch thick.
