If you're claustrophobic, this place probably isn't for you. The name says it all, "Cozy Cafe" is COZY. There's a half-round counter inside and that's it. Snuggle up, yo. If you can't hang, there's a bit of outdoor seating, but that's pretty cozy too. Everything I've ordered here is delicious, and I end up clearing my whole plate. The shining star is their huevos rancheros, of course. Even if you don't order that, make sure that with whatever you order, you ask for the green salsa they make in-house. Their sourdough cheeseburger is really special. Not just a burger when you factor in the friendliness and dedicated service at any South Bay restaurant. "Cozy" is a very accurate name for this establishment. It's impossible not to feel like an honored guest when one dines here. Carlos (and his son, Angel) cook meals to perfection. I didn't get to take a pic of our food cause we're so hungry lol, but my gf and I loved this place! I got the 2 eggs any style option (over easy) with bacon and it was delicious. The home fries had onions and we both ate it with their hot sauce, which was light, fresh and flavorful! She got the banana hot cakes and said they were fluffy with just the right amount of banana. So glad I found this spot! Brought my mom for breakfast after her appointment and it was delicious! She got the 2x4 that included 2 banana hot cakes, eggs and bacon. The pancakes were soft and full of flavor!! Literally how my mom makes them and I loved them. I got the huevos con chorizo and it was obviously a hit! But the potatoes? Definitely my favorite part of the meal. Not only was the food delicious but the service was 10/10!! Everyone was so sweet and attentive. This place is aptly named. Came by for breakfast on a rainy day with my son after his doctor's appointment and before taking him to school. There's a U-shaped counter inside that fits maybe ten people. From the look of reviews, there's outside seating, but given the weather, I didn't even bother to look for it. Looks like the kind of place locals would frequent, but there were a couple other folks there for the first time. I'll keep it simple: Come here for good food made by nice people. Food and service has such a warm homelike experience. Family owned business and all hands on deck. Such a rare place to get to see first hand the ambience was so cozy as the name declares. I like that the portions are small, just perfect to make you full. I usually never finish my food but that wasn't the case here, I actually finished it all. No containers to go were needed for our table. We came in on a Sunday for brunch and it was a little empty but as we were leaving, the outside patio filled up. The only thing I disliked was that the check was written and you could hardly tell what was what. Either way, price was great for 5 of us! I want to add that it was BEYOND humbling to eat here. This house converted to an eatery is located near a busy intersection near Redondo Beach. There's free street parking and free wifi available. They have a tiny indoor dining area, then there are a couple of tents at the side of the house and an enclosed patio area in the back. We sat under one of the tents which we later found out was a bad place: we had to keep shooing the flies away and the street traffic was noisy. Service is slow; but they are friendly, and good at giving recommendations. We went with: -Brewed unsweetened iced tea -Super sweet OJ - banana pancakes had good flavor but I prefer my pancakes fluffy, these were flat and got chewy as they got cold - delicious pork breakfast sausage - polish sausage was good - home fries were meh I'd give them another chance to try out more of their menu; but next time, we're definitely dining inside read more

Cozy Cafe is a very casual spot that's been a Redondo Beach institution since 1980, featuring very tasty, freshly-made breakfast and lunch options served by friendly staff in a traditional 'lunch counter' ambiance. Inspired by the positive Yelp reviews, my dining companion and I stopped in for an early Sunday morning breakfast while staying at a hotel nearby. We were not entirely sure what to expect, but the manager and his family warmly welcomed us into the restaurant and made us feel at home. We opted to sit outside at one of the three tables outside under a pop-up canopy on the small patio, but there's also counter seating indoors. The menu includes the key staples you'd expect - eggs with bacon, toast, and home fries, pancakes, french toast, and cooked to order omelettes - as well as Spanish/TexMex inspired dishes like Huevos Rancheros and others. The menu also offers plenty of lunch options like burgers, sandwiches, and salads which are available all day for those heathens who don't crave breakfast foods at every opportunity. I opted for the Gaucho ($15), comprised of a freshly-grilled Polish sausage and two eggs served over home fries and a tortilla, topped with mildly-spicy Spanish sauce. YUM! My dining companion opted for the breakfast burrito ($14) with home fries and was really happy as well. The very friendly but not overbearing waitstaff kept our coffee cups topped off and made sure we didn't need anything throughout our meal. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area! PRO TIP: Cozy Cafe doesn't have a private, off-street parking lot, but there is plenty of on-street parking on PCH. read more

Outstanding breakfast! I had huevos rancheros. The sauce was mild but very flavorful. They included celery in the red chili sauce which gave it a unique flavor. My date had eggs and corned beef hash.
