I called right at 11 for takeout, they answered! Shock! They only have 2 sizes, small and large. I ordered a small Hawaiian for me and a large pepperoni for boyfriend, it was his birthday. Boyfriend loved the pizza and ate the whole thing! They put cheese on top of the significant amount of pepperonis. My Hawaiian was good, too. I had sime leftover and ate it for breakfast. Still good! I ordered two salads, we had to save the salads for later. Salads were huge! Boyfriend transferred his salad from container to a mediym size corning ware cooking dish. I normally don't tip on takeout but decided to leave 10%. And theur "precalculated" tip amounts were only on foid, did not include tax. That is what it is supposed to be I hate it when restaurants include sales tax in their tip calculation. read more

Been a big fan of Red's Savoy for many years. Last week, we picked up a couple of small pizzas for dinner. The order process was quick. Our pizza's were ready within the window the old us and the staff was friendly and helpful. Both pizza's were fresh and used a generous portion of toppings. 'Sota pizza is my favorite style of pizza and Red's does a great job of doing justice to this style. Will definitely visit the Eagan location again. read more

1/2 Hawaiian Pizza & the other 1/2 pepperoni was something I hadn't had in a long long long time at Savoy's Pizza place in Eagan. Sure miss the old place on 7th Street in St. Paul, MN but it was the second choice of places to try pizza. Still made with Red Savoys special pizza recipe sauce and the ovens are new and not the old so it came in a close second for the original pizza that was served on 7th Street in St. Pail, MN. i feel bad writing a review but here i am. tonight i ordered a pizza, sometime around 8pm, not knowing they closed at 9. i felt bad ordering soo late. my pizza was delivered without notifying me, it seemed like a long delivery so i went downstairs to check and the pizza was left at the door and completely cold. when i brought it up to reheat, i opened the box and it was burnt. i don't really know what the deal was as the pizza is usually pretty great. read more

This place has really gone downhill. Placed a delivery order tonight for my hungry family-- it's literally two hours since I placed the order, and no pizza in sight. When I used their online app to order, it said the delivery time was 22-30 minutes-- this is literally the main reason we ordered from them. Called the store to ask what was going on-- all they could tell me was "it's on the way." That was 30 minutes ago. Anyone want to bet whether my pricey pizza will be anywhere close to warm when it gets here? I get it; it's the pandemic and we can't hire people. Ordered delivery for a 10" reds specia. It was like 25$ w the tip. The plaice is less than a mile away from my hotel. A hour and 20 min later the delivery driver calls me and asks me to come to the lobby. So I get the luke warm half dead pizza to my room. This pizza is just like a frozen pizza. Bland crust. If you've read my other reviews, you know that I personally believe that Red Savoy's pizza is pizza perfection - a sassy (they say "passive aggressive" sauce), a cracker-thin, crisp crust, plentiful toppings, and mounds of cheese. Does it get any better? While I'm a big fan of the original (now closed) St. Paul location, I've had to try the others now, because they are the only way I can get my favorite pizza. I've been very pleased with the pizzas I've received from the Eagan location. I especially like their Happy Hour special, where you can get $5 off. I placed an order online for a future pick up about 3.5 hours before the scheduled pick up. I arrived at the shop 5 minutes after the scheduled time just for a buffer but when I was at the register he said it was still going to be a few more minutes. I then watched the employee go to the back and start looking at the slips and he then pulled my pizzas from the prepared rack and put them in the oven. In my world, I see 4 "classes" of pizza. There's the frozen, chain (Domino's, Pizza Hut), take and bake (that includes grocery store delis), and the local pizzerias. As standard as pizza is, it's amazing how the different classes of pizza can be so different. Each have their good brands and bad brands, but you really can't go wrong with the local pizzerias. Savoy is one such place. When I was in college, I had pizza often. So often that I got sick of pizza and swore off it for years afterward. I will still end up choosing something else given a choice, but every so often, I have to appease my wife, or the people I work with. But eating pizza like Savoy's is hardly a compromise. It was a colleague's last day and the company bought lunch. What surprised me most about the pepperoni/mushroom and sausage pizzas we had was the the sauce had a little kick to it. That was a pleasant addition to the fresh ingredients that's typical of a pizzeria pizza. The boss picked up the pies, so I don't know what the store itself is like, but their pizzas were certainly good. Sometimes I feel like pizza even when I don't know I feel like pizza. And it's usually when we end up eating from somewhere like Savoy's. I look forward to the next time I don't feel like pizza. read more

I am in Minnesota for work and was looking for a quick bite last night. So glad I found this place! Just wish I would've gotten a large! I almost picked up Domino's just because I'm familiar with it, but then I decided to try something new. I looked at what was close and saw Red's Savoy Pizza. The reviews were...I think 4 out of 5 on here and 3.8 on another site. I read a few and decided to give it a shot. I called and asked how long for a regular (small) House Special pizza to go. He quoted me 10 minutes. Great! I got there and right away the guy says "I know I told you 10 minutes but it's going to be juuuust a little longer. I hope that's ok." You know what? That WAS ok. I am glad that he addressed it right up front and I told him I'd rather it be fresh and hot but take a few more minutes than sit around because he told me longer than it would really be. 10 minutes seemed pretty short to me, so a little over that was perfectly fine. When it did come out, the guy who cooked it asked how it looked...whether I wanted it more done or anything. It was perfect, but nice to be asked. Can't beat the customer service by the 2 guys who were working. The pizza itself was fantastic. There are a good amount of toppings, real cheese (some chain places have something that I'm not sure if really cheese), and was good fresh and good reheated, good flavored sauce, and a fairly thin crust with crispy edges. The only thing I didn't like was the mushrooms. I love mushrooms. I'm pretty sure these were canned mushrooms and I'm not a fan of that...ever. If they weren't, they unfortunately figured out how to make them taste like it. The price was...higher than crappy chains but I feel like this is a case of "you get what you pay for" for sure. $16 was worth if for all those toppings, the delicious flavor, and the nice employees. I'll definitely order again in the next 8 days that I'm here...maybe more than once. :D I'll get a large this time! Haha. read more

I've had worse pizza, but I've also had much better in several shopping malls & airports throughout the country. The "regular" size is really only enough for 1 person, maybe 2 not-so-hungry people. I ordered a pepperoni for delivery. They said it would take 25-35 mins. It arrived in about 50 mins. There was plenty of pepperoni and cheese and the crust wasn't too bad. It was incredibly greasy and the sauce was much too spicy for my taste. It would have been better with much less sauce and even a little less cheese and pepperoni. They also have a really odd way of cutting it, in this criss-cross pattern that makes each "piece" practically bite-sized. It reminded me a bit of Dominos. They also charge a $2.50 delivery fee, which is ridiculous. My subtotal was $11.24, but by the time I got done with fees, taxes and tip, I'd spent $18. It was in no way worth that to me. read more

We order a pizza to be delivered - it came quickly but....it was burned and the ingredients weren't correct..... it could not be eaten. When I called they were very nice and ordered another. This one took 45 minutes and was good the next day - I had to eat something else while I was waiting for the new one to arrive. Disappointed that they would deliver a burned pizza. i would much prefer Red Savoy over any of the chains like Dominos or Pizza hut. Though I've never been to the original location in Saint Paul this makes the cut for me . The square pieces of cheesy goodness and the fact that they have Happy hour for any large one topping for 10 bucks is a steal! They are always arriving on time. I work nearby and they also have pizza by the slice on weekdays during the lunch time so you don't have to dedicate yourself to a whole pie which helps if your on a diet of some sorts. They also offer vienna hot dogs and gyros too which is strange for a pizza place but hey more variety never hurt anyone. Plus they have a small freezer stocked with ice cream and frozen pizzas. One of my top choices for pizza in Eagan. Only downside to this place is its more of a takeout joint they have about 2-3 stools for sitting on a counter but no tables so don't expect to dine in unless your doing the pizza slices during lunch. read more

My husband got takeout from there last night. I'll give three stars because they make awesome pizza. But I was in the mood for spaghetti. It was so disappointing. The sauce was so, so bland and clumped up with cheese. I love cheese, but they didn't put much sauce on it, so it was just a big clump in top. The noodles seemed old. Mushy. I'm a St. Paul guy my whole life. The original Savoy on East 7th in my opinion was the best pizza around. The Eagan Savoy like many of their franchises, is not quite as good as the original but, overall pretty close and they deliver to my house. Crust is not quite as crispy and the sauce is not quite as tangy or something. Anyway, they usually deliver pretty much on time but yesterday they told me 60 minutes and 1 1/2 hour later still no pizza. The first time I called, Paul told me "its on the way" which was a lie. The second time I called, a different person gave me the "I don't know" "sorry" bit. As I was pulling out of my driveway to get a sandwich about 1 hour 45 minutes after ordering, the pizza showed up. I told him the order had been cancelled and; they should be honest with their customers if they can't fulfill an order. I may try again but, it will be a long while and only on a slow night like Tuesday....... read more

I love this place. Delivery is very quick. Pizza is always hot, and fresh. Drivers a very polite. Buffalo wings were great as well. I've not tried their Chicago style hot dogs yet, but will soon. A few minor issues...sometimes the pizza may be just a tad overdone. They are not always consistent on the amount of pizza sauce they use. Would highly recommend.
