Sat outside to eat al fresco during sunset hours. Chris checked in on us frequently so we never felt forgotten or neglected. The food itself was delicious. I enjoyed the lobster roll and the chips made in-house along with their creamy slaws. I also got their non-alcoholic drink that was surprisingly delicious. Like a better version of sprite without it being too sweet. I got the drink because it had the name Rascal in it -- the same as my dog's name. Came here after boating early Friday evening and it was nice. Got lucky with open seating in the back which i think is the best view. Service was pretty good. And the seafood tower was ostentatiously perfect with fresh, juicy oysters, shrimp, lobster, and tuna tartare; the tuna poke nachos with avocado crema, sriracha aioli, wasabi soy sauce and furikake mushrooms were uniquely presented and absolutely delicious. We also had the tuna crudo and albacore with jalapeno, wasabi microgreens and ponzu, a lip-smackingly delightful dish. Nestled right on the water- this place offers a stunning view. Reelhouse was busy during my visit. It appears to be a hotspot for work happy hours with people citing their drinks and pizza. I managed to find a spot right in front of the kitchen. I ordered a cosmopolitan and a lobster roll. I asked the server if they had "fries" and because of the loud environment I ended up with "rice". Yay oysters! The capicola pizza was flavorful! You can actually taste the honey and the meat was crispy not chewy. The cider was perfect, not too sweet, and the oysters with the wine and vinegar options were great! I do wish the oysters didn't cost so much but...here we are. Lots of choices on the menu, full bar, and so many servers and bartenders. I forgot the name of the person serving me and my friend, but I ordered a sushi sampler and lobster roll. My friend ordered some fresh vegetables and a pepperoni pizza. Yes, New England is popular for their lobster rolls, and it's Market Price here. But I got my moneys worth! Apologies if the beer cider wasn't to our liking's. All in all a good experience and would recommend. This place would be great outdoors during the spring and warmer fall weather. I've been to Boston during the middle of summer, it's definitely much more humid than Hawaii. But if you're out in Seaport for events, girls night out, guys night out, date night, or basically anything you can think of. Come here! Me and my friend didn't stay too long as the crowd got bigger and bigger inside. People's conversations got louder and we both felt like people were waiting for you to leave once they seen both of us was done with our checks. Reel house was the only spot near an event I was going to so I spent a long lunch here with some amazing views! This restaurant is stunning and so peaceful on the water. Service was very friendly albeit a little slow (they weren't very busy). My cocktail was delicious and the shrimp cocktail was also fantastic! As far as my lobster roll, I'd never had one before but it was very good warmed! I just don't have a comparison. read more

Love this place, good food and drinks but the girl whose name starts with a M, I think it may be Maraina or Maria is gross. Everyone in there works hard it seems except for her. The trashy tattoos and stuff and her bad attitude make that place drop down a few stars. Anytime I go there I get terrible service from her and no matter how hard I try to get a different bartender, for some reason I'm stuck with her. The second time I have gotten served from her, she has an actual like film in her nose from cocaine and it couldn't be anything other than that. Have zero clue how a beautiful place in the seaport of Boston, so up and coming can have a person like that as part of their staff. Food was so good here. The poke nachos were absolutely amazing !!! The chips were so nice and crispy. The tuna was very good with all the wasabi and ginger drizzled on top. Wow yum. The oysters were absolutely delicious. We ended up getting a dozen! Couldn't get enough. The drinks here aren't bad as well. I had the lychee cosmo and my friend got a tequila drink with coconut cream? I forgot what it was called but it was good. The service was great. Had the chance to visit with my daughter and wife. We were in a rush so we took our food to go. It was a beautiful evening in the Seaport so were sat and ate just outside this beautiful restaurant. This was my first visit to the Reelhouse. We were very impressed with the location and overall feel. We ordered two pizzas (mushroom and cheese) and a garden salad (see pictures). The cheese pizza was excellent. It was thin and tasty. If I go back, I will order the pizza again and ask for more sauce on the pizza but it was still excellent. My wife and daughter raved about mushroom pizza, as well. The garden salad, which we all shared, was excellent....good size and fresh! I have added pictures below. I went here for drinks and apps on a Tuesday evening. It was nice out and I heard the outdoor seating was walk-in only so I wanted to give it a try. I had a rough experience at the host stand though. I was told that I had to join a waitlist for the outdoor seats and the wait would be an hour, so I put down my phone number then left. After an hour I still didn't receive a call or text so I came back to check in on the status of the waitlist. Then they claimed there was no waitlist (still confused about this). And they said if we saw outdoor seats then we could just snag them, so we did. The drinks, hummus and views were all amazing. Our service was strong too. We ordered our drinks and then were about to order oysters when the bartender said that they just got a party of 20 for 6pm and we would have to move. The place was empty. We said ok, we agree to being moved, then they say there are only 4 bar seats together. We said ask another group to move over one seat but they wouldn't do that. (They would move us but not them?) Finally we said we said ok, we would be out of there by 6, then 3 different people/managers came over to say that at 6 we would have to leave, really rudely. At 5 minutes to six as we were paying, the manager harassed us again, while we were settling up. It was an awful experience and we would not go there again. read more

I had high hopes for the Reelhouse Oyster Bar but unfortunately I was incredibly disappointed and underwhelmed. It was very loud indoors - the bar was very rowdy and on top of that, the restaurant blasted EDM music. After about 5 minutes of sitting inside, I felt a headache just from the noise and asked the hostess if there was any chance we could sit outside due to the level of noise indoors. She was very kind and snagged us a table outdoors, but our original waiter definitely showed a bit of attitude. In terms of the food, the pizza was incredibly greasy and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. The oysters were solid but I don't know if they were worth the price - the waiter/food runner never even shared where the oysters were from (there were 2 different oysters on our platter). The restaurant is in a great location, but they definitely are very focused on their bar and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone for a dinner. read more

If I could give no stars I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!! The bartender, (specifically the one with the messy bun, no makeup & oversized off the shoulder shirt on Sunday 9/14) is beyond rude & does not like girls who are well put together. Showed up with a bigger group after being at Envoy rooftop around 9pm. The bar was busy but we found a spot on the corner. The only sober person in our group was told by the bartender she was cut off because she jumped up and down saying hi to someone and the bartender made the judgement that they were "too drunk." Our friend DOES NOT drink EVER, so to be told she wasn't allowed to have even so much as a water, was disgusting behavior all around. I have worked in restaurants & the service industry for years & have NEVER been treated so poorly as our group was treated at this establishment. Left a poor taste in our mouths. We left & went somewhere else. ReelHouse Oyster Bar lost the $ of 15+ patrons last night due to their rude waitstaff.
