The Reflections of China attraction is located in the World Showcase at Epcot in the China Pavilion. When entering the theater, you are immediately immersed in your surroundings. The Reflections of China consists of Circle Vision 360, essentially a completely circular room that has displays all the way around you. This is one of those formats that will make you more immersed than watching a traditional movie. Although at times this approach does work such as the grand sweep of the Great Wall or sweeping mountainscapes so much so that you literally feel like you're being surrounded by the sights you see. You get taken on an adventure throughout China to see some of the most well known attractions in each region. From major cities, to historical sites, and natural wonders, there's no shortage of interesting visuals! I would say its a very good location to stop by. Its air conditioned, indoor space with almost no waiting, so you can cool down inside the attraction and it makes a great spot to take a break from the theme park rides! I enjoyed the opportunity to stand still for a little bit, yet feel like I was doing something else in the theme park! A Plus for this show! This is super underrated at EPCOT but for sure worth a stop. It is located in the China pavilion at EPCOT, and you do need a park ticket to visit. This is purely a show, which runs continuously throughout the day. It is located towards the back in the large temple you can see from anywhere in the pavilion. Once you walk inside the temple there is a display inside which is nice to look at and walk through. There are also benches inside before the theatre and sometimes Mulan is doing meet and greets here as well. Once inside the theatre, it is 360-degree theatre so there is not a bad seat. There are rows set up with dividers you can lean on, but don't sit on them. The movie basically takes you to China and makes you feel immersed. The screens are literally all around you so you can usually spin around to see it all or just look at a few of them. You can get pretty dizzy especially for those that get affected with moving images. It is usually not very crowded in here either. Since its never crowded, I usually sit right on the floor as do most others. They don't really tell you not to sit on the floor, they do tell you not to sit on the railings. If you can there are 2 benches towards the back, but it will block half the screens. The overall show is only about 12-13 minutes, but we love it. Especially in the summer. It is very beautiful scenery, air conditioned and educational all at the same time. I recommend this to anyone visiting the park. read more

This is an attraction located at the China pavilion in World Showcase at EPCOT. This is very underrated but a good stop especially in the summer. It is inside the park entrance, so you have to get a park ticket in order to see it. This attraction is just a show, but it will take you around China and show you all the popular sights. This also runs continuously throughout the day, so your wait is very minimal. It is also a standing room only, 365-degree show. There are TVs all around, and you might find yourself moving around to see them all. Once inside the temple, there is a display which has changed over the years. You can just go inside to see this or do both the exhibit and the show. The waiting area does have benches to sit down, and Mulan is doing meet and greets here as well. Once you go into the theatre, there are no bad seats. You actually cannot sit unless you sit on the ground. My wife always does this but sitting on the floor will restrict you from seeing all the TVs. My mother-in-law cannot see the show unless she just looks ahead, trying to move around and see all the TVs makes her dizzy. This show is never crowded, I honestly think people don't really know it exists. This is the perfect summer show when it is so hot outside, but it is a nice relaxing movie as well. We get to see lots of sights that we might never get to. The show is only 12-13 minutes as well, so it will not take up much of your time, but this is worth coming to see. Aces! read more

Reflections of China is a 12-minute film that details the history, culture, and future of China. It's located inside the giant temple in the China section of Epcot. When you walk in you'll see giant screens all around the room. You are basically transported to China to experience the different cities, landscapes, and popular attractions of the country. We saw the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, Yangtze River, and much much more. I really enjoyed this short film highlighting a massive country with thousands of years of history. read more

Reflections of China is the 1980's version of Epcot's Soarin' ride. Yes, this is a dated attraction, but I came to it recently with my husband who had never been. You enter a Chinese temple and wait in a room until the next showing begins, luckily there are benches in there. We also witnessed one of the Disney characters (Mulan?) available for photos in this lobby. You enter a large theater next. This is an attraction where you stand, so I want to point that out for anybody who might have mobility issue. This is simply a film, so there is no thrill factor involved with this experience. There is a screen that wraps around the whole room. This film was cool in the 1980's, but in the age of Flight of Passage, this is quite dated. You are immersed in this film to an extent, so to me it's definitely a pre-historic version of Soarin! This is just a meh attraction for me. It is interesting to learn a bit about the Chinese culture and see the geography of that country though. I'll likely never visit that country, so it's always fun to learn about a new place. It seems like the film has not been updated in probably 25 years. I'd highly recommend coming in here if you are visiting Florida in the summer and need a break from the AWFUL heat. read more

While we've done several Disney trips over the past decade, I have intentionally skipped seeing this show for no other reason than the reviews make it seem like a total cheese fest that is a waste of time. Knowing this trip would be our last, I figured what the hell. Know that you have two different elements in play here. On one hand the actual building/grounds for the China Pavilion are beautiful. Tons of color, well landscaped and there is a lot to see. To get to the film you walk in and pass through the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest where you will likely be met by a cast member who will ask you if you are there to see the show and will let you know how long until the next one starts. Eventually another cast member dressed in more period appropriate clothing comes over the PA system and gives you instructions about when the doors will be opening and about what you will be seeing. When the doors open you walk into the hall and indeed there are screens in every directions along with railings to hang on to if you get disorientated. For our show which was mid-afternoon on a weekday in January there were around fifteen people so lots of room to spread out. The film itself is 14 minutes and according to something I read online it was introduced in 2003 even though it looks more like 1983. From Disney's website: "Watch in wonder as your guide, Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai, takes you on an immersive tour through the sights and sounds of China. You'll float down the Haungpu River to Shanghai and see historic Nanjing Road. Witness the gentle, fluid movements of tai chi and the agile acrobatics of the Peking Opera Company.Scale the hauntingly beautiful Huangshan mountain range into the mythical Sea of Clouds, the inspiration of poets and painters for centuries. While that may sound interesting, the footage is beyond dated and everything is done is such a sanitized PC way as to be almost unbelievable. While beautiful, this is still a communist country that is run in a brutal way. Let's not frost over that too much Disney. This was a beautiful albeit merely a snapshot of this wonderous and diverse country and peoples. The gentle words of the narrator and Disney being a sugar coated mega capitalist belie this waking giant we now face with a deeply questionable human rights record, ambivalence to human tragedies within its growing borders, and growing and strategic world dominance through cheap manufacturing. What isn't reflected is that China has re absorbed Macau and it has swallowed Tibet, banishing the 14th Dalai Lama, Tendzin Gyatso, it is snarling at India on its borders and Taiwan. If it decided, it could digest North Korea before breakfast without as much as a hiccup before Kim who heads a famine state knew what hit him. Bet Walt Dismal World executives are delighted Epcot doesn't have a Russia and even Morocco is decidedly low on indigenous staff. read more

The Reflections of China is the title of this high definition circle vision movie located in a beautifully and ornately decorated theater. While the video is obviously dated, it's still exciting and fun to watch. I kept finding myself immersed into the movements of the film and had to keep looking behind me to make sure I wasn't missing a single experience. We get to see historical reenactments, along with gorgeous views of more current sights at some of the most famous cities of China. Breath taking landscapes, buildings and structures of ancient times to modern day cities and technology unique to this country. The people, culture, apparel, and day to day life are represented in the movie, giving the observer a small glimpse of what this most populated country in the world has to offer, and you could tell it's done with pride. If you are tired from all the walking around the World Showcase, then this attraction might not be helpful as a resting point. I was at Epcot with some friends and we were taking a tour around the world! On our stop in China, everyone wanted to take a look at the gift shop and see what kind of stuff they could get for relatively low prices. We were hot and needed a break from things anyway, and apparently there were people in our group that had never seen the Reflections of China movie, so in we went. The movie is a 360 degree movie where the nine screens surround you, giving you a full surrounding view of different parts of China as guided by a wise elder. You get to see all of the different provinces of China, marvelous vistas and mountain ranges along with the coastal regions that make China what the country it is. I have always enjoyed this movie, and I think that my friends enjoyed it as well. And while it is not exactly a movie that you can relax at, it is one that has good air conditioning so at least you can cool off while enjoying a movie! read more

This little venue is a nice break from the humidity-filled theme park. It has a small museum type display attached to the theater, that showcases the Disneyland in Shanghai, which is pretty neat. The movie itself is a short, 360 degree view of the country. You stand in the room and look up to screens all around you. If you're tired of walking all day, this attraction might be one to skip as it's a standing room movie. They have rails you can lean on to make it a little easier, but not as comfy as sitting down. Reflections of China is a 360 degree short film shown at the China Pavilion at Epcot. The place was half empty at midday, so I wouldn't be too stressed out about getting here early. It's a very beautiful overview of a colorful and intriguing nation. You get a bit of everything here; big cities, villages, landscapes, and historical sites. The multi screen view is amazing. We all loved it, and content aside, it's hard not to like a 15 minute air conditioned break when it's hot outside. read more

I don't watch the Reflections of China film every time I go to EPCOT, but I have seen it more than once and will see it again. At the very least, it is a way to get out of the hot sun for a while! Unfortunately there is no seating, but rather you stand to watch the movie in its 360 degree format. You gather in a waiting area and listen to an intro by a Chinese cast member, and then file into the viewing area for a show of over ten minutes. It is informative, giving us much more knowledge behind the ever-present "Made in Chine" words we see on nearly everything we buy! I wonder if it is due for an update, but it is worth a peek just for the scenic views. read more

Well China is one of my favorite spots in Epcot World and I love it cause I just love freaking anything Asian..... The food at the cafe and also the restaurant is very good, some of the countries don't impress me much or cater at all to vegetarians and for that I heart me some chinese food. There's also nice items to buy at the stores,cute toys for the nieces and I love some of the other handmade items available for sale at their shops. During the Food and wine which I visited earlier last month the cafe's Veggie Stir Fry saved me from getting drunk with my mom and falling into the sculptures in front of the China pavilion.. (You didn't play with the alcohol level on those happy Lychee cocktails, YIKES) See you next year lil china. read more

The documentary showing off the various landscapes and points of interest in China shown on Circlevision made us wish we were back in China to do some more exploring. The Chinese artifacts, statues and landscaping that you see before you even get inside whet your appetite to learn more about the county. I recommend checking out the movies in Epcot before checking out their area as it gives you a bit more appreciation for all the efforts Disney put into their attractions. read more

Circlevision is awesome and this movie is less boring than the one in the French pavilion, that's for sure. However, it's also filled with some pretty scholocky pro-China propaganda (how many productions for Americans from China have to mention that now the Forbidden City is open to everyone? *coughthankstocommunismcough* Also, blah to some implied one-China and "shout out to our token minorities" stuff. I find it heeelarious that the film is narrated by ancient Chinese poet Li Bai...and that it is called "Reflections of China." Li Bai famously drowned himself to death in a drunken boating accident because he was enthralled by the reflection of the moon on the water. read more

Reflections of China is a 360 degree cultural movie - kind of like the ones in Canada and France. It desperately needs updating though, and like another Yelper mentioned, there's some problematic propagandaish statements in there. If you want a place to hang out in the AC, it's not bad. There's no chairs though, so you don't really get a rest, and your neck might get a crick in it if you're standing too close to the edge. read more

this is a 360° feature film on China. The scenes are quite lovely, and it's quite informative. There is a preshow area featuring Chinese acrobat's. At first I thought that was the attraction, it took a minute for me to understand that was just the beginning. I wish this attraction was seated, however you must stand. It is a good film but it needs to be updated. There are many cool things in China today that were not there when this film was made. Maybe or atleast do an update like what was done in Canada Pavillion. Add new pieces to show new things while still using old footage, the a complete redo would be best. With modern Audio/Visual technology, these could be insanely good videos. read more
