We are incredibly happy and pleased with the quality of the work done by Refreshed, and especially the great crew at our house this week - primarily Francisco and Caesar! They were on time each day, worked hard the whole day each day even during the heat wave when they had to be on top of the house for hours in the heat, and they adjusted their work tasks to allow for our needs inside the house in terms of working from home and needing it to be quiet at certain times. We had Refreshed install five mini-splits inside and a heat pump on the roof of our almost 100-year-old house. These guys messed up my mom's electrical system in her double-wide trailer. Among other things screwups they took two 110 circuits and combined them to get the necessary 220 for their system. We had to call in another electrician to fix their mistakes to the tune of $4K. When I complained they went silent. Not sure if they ever pulled permits for their work. My mom was promised a $1K refund from the State. They said they submitted the paperwork. But we never saw that, either. If you use these guys, watch them closely. UPDATE: The RHC folks have reached out to me fix my complaints and reimburse my mom. Leaving the review at 1 star for now, until I see some results from their side. ;-) read more

Ryan set up the appointment for Richard to come out the same day, he was there within an hour. Richard immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease when he came to speak with me. Refreshed did our HVAC system project and we're extremely pleased with the results. We had a few contractors provide bids for our project, and we chose Refreshed based on their knowledge of the available solutions, overall proposal offerings, and cost competitiveness. Originally, we'd preferred a central system, but the limitations of our older/smaller home meant that wasn't really feasible. With the help of Refreshed, though, we collaborated on a more than suitable alternative (heat pump mini split system) that looks great and is really efficient. The onsite installers, Saul and Juan, were great, too. They navigated different design decisions with us, and worked in some tight spaces really adeptly (including recessed ceiling cassettes) to get the job done in a timely fashion. We were in market for getting AC/Heatpump installed in our home. Talked to 10 different HVAC companies to get the installation rough idea and quote since we had a unique situation to deal with for installing extra vents in the master bed addition. Honestly, initially we were hesitant to choose Refreshed because of lack of reviews but then given their labor and parts warranty we decided to give them a try and we could not have been happier. Just realized that my review I wrote to Refreshed Heating and Cooling was lost. This is an overdue review for Refreshed. Back in April this year, my neighbor and I were looking for A/C installers. We found Refreshed and called up Michael for estimate. Michael responded the same day and scheduled an appointment. He came and gave me proposal on the same day. He is very knowledgeable and super friendly. He explained everything. Their pricing is very competitive and no pressure at all. I decided to go with them to replace our entire system to a hybrid system and scheduled to install in 3 weeks. His crews came and finished the job in 2 days. They were very professional and cleaned up after work every day. Although there was a hiccup because the original manufacture do not have down flow blower, we had to switch the furnace to a different brand with minor cost increase. Michael still honored his initial proposal and absorbed the price difference. The whole experience was very positive. I am glad I found Refreshed. Michael responded to my Yelp service request with a complimentary diagnosis. He came in first thing on Monday and spent an hour diagnosing the problem and was able to find the root cause and fixed the problem right away. He in the end just charged me a hourly service charge and the problem is fixed! I am very satisfied with Michael's professional dealing on this matter and his expertise as well as fair charging. Would recommend him to anyone for hvac service again! Below is the description of my problem I requested on Yelp: Unfortunately the Ac/furnace has gone out over the weekend. There is no power going to the thermostat either upstairs or downstairs. The display remains empty. It was working fine last weekend. I've checked the circuit breakers and they were not tripped but I reset them anyway. I looked it up online to troubleshoot and it said the wiring may have gone faulty that runs from the thermostat to the transformer. Now since this is both ac and furnace not working and simultaneous upstairs downstairs stopped working it must be something specific you would think. Our 30 yr old air cond. unit was telling us its days were numbered. I came to Yelp to ask for quotes from local Air/heating companies on a Friday Many companies answered that they could come out 'next week'. (One company did come out the same day and quoted us approx $14k.) Ugh! With the summer temps being in the high 90's we were hoping for at least someone to come sooner. Alas, Richard (owner) responded to our Yelp posting that he could come "later that Friday". Richard showed up and tested the unit and confirmed our fears. He quoted us a price (of just under 9k) that was lower than the other company gave us, there was financing if we wanted to use it too. Richard also could have the new unit installed in one day on Wednesday of the following week. We signed the contract and here on Saturday we've enjoyed a nice cool home for days. Richard was very informative, knowledgeable about his product. We also like to shop local. We live in Oakley and so does the owner Richard.
