This is by far the best Chinese buffet I have ever been to. The decor when walking into the restaurant was beautiful. The servers were nice. My only complaint was the dining area. It was a bit run down and the booths were rock hard. The food was always fresh and I liked just about everything I tried. They have so much to choose from I couldn't try it all! I don't get the 4-5 starts reviews. The food is really, really bad. On a Friday night I spent $over 60 for 4 people to eat at this trash can. My son was so grossed out he didn't eat. He flat out refused to eat. The selection is average but the food if really low quality. The "chicken on a stick" almost made me puke.I am pretty sure its not chicken. Egg rolls are gooey, crab filled wontons....I don't know what kind of filling they use but it's pretty gross. Fried fish was BAD. Sweet and Sour Chicken was awful. How do you screw up Sweet and Sour Chicken?? The fried rice was "meh" and the ice tea was the only thing truly worth. And please for all that is Holy do not go near the sushi bar. Sushi from Kroger is way better and that is not a compliment. My wife tried the sushi and gagged on it. The whole place was dirty and there were dirty dished and glasses on tables. We just left, paid the bill (which is a rip off) and I was dry heaving going to my car. I should have just left before we tried to sample the food. HUGE mistake in staying. New place and decided to try it. My expectations were not very high given that it is a buffet. I thought that since it was new that they would be out to impress the public. The building has been renovated and it is very nice compared to the previous tenant, however this was the only good thing that we experienced. The food is nothing more than heat and serve. I had the mongolian bbq and it was ok but nothing special. It is low quality food at best. This will be a hit to the people that make a contest to see how much they can eat. The same people that don't pay attention to their kids. I litterally saw one kid almost trip a customer with a plate. The staff seems to be hard working but there is no management walking around to see how the customers are reacting to the food and service. There are better buffets nearby. read more

I am not a buffet killer kind of person, but this one is an exception!! First experience was pleasant. Regal Buffet is a typical Chinese buffet but cleaner and more options. I went for dinner on Friday night and it was packed. They have "All You Can Eat Crab" day on Friday/Saturday nights. They stock up crab legs all the time. The atmosphere is so clean. Their food is fresh, delicious, and decent Chinese buffet, probably the best in the DFW area so far considering the price and the quality. It is very affordable. The service is fine. Since no one has posted the price for adults on here yet it is $10.99. I really don't know how this place has 4.5 stars...I came here with not as big expectations but I definitely didn't expect it to be THIS bad. This might be the best overall Chinese Buffet I have ever been to. I got there early on a weekday but the food was fresh and hot - some other buffets seem like the food is leftover during the first round of the day but no here. The selection was massive. Many choices of meat stir fried entrees from typical beef and brocolli to moo goo gai pan and mussels. There were plenty of vegetable choices too, including a fantastic creamed spinach which was my favorite thing of the entire meal. Plenty of soups, salad fixings and the Mongolian noodle counter. My only slight compliant is that most of the entree choices had a bit of a sweet base but I prefer more spicy food. Otherwise, this place was perfect. The price was great too. Highly recommended. Typical buffet, I go for the hibachi grill and can fill up on that alone. Fresh sushi, salad bar, and lots of dessert choices. I keep meaning to try their all you can eat crab legs night. I think it's Friday? I've been in here maybe four times and only once was it messy and tables were dirty. I'm pretty sure that was on a Sunday after the church rush so I didn't even blame them. I only expect the servers to get me refills on my drink and they do that well. Lot's of options for sushi, I was very impressed for a buffett. The rest of the buffett is your typical china buffett, just ok. My friend and I were in the area for business and wanted to try something other than the standard fast food fare. They had a huge selection of food options that were hot, cold, and even Mongolian grill. The staff was very attentive to our needs with drinks and new plates as necessary. The different dishes were all served at the correct temperature. This can be a real issue for many buffets but they seem to have addressed this with high marks. My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out due to my parents recommending it to us. We get there and try the buffet out. Tried a crab cake and some noddles new right a way I didn't like it neither did my girlfriend she took couple bites and tried to get fruit and tasted like chemicals . We decided it wasn't for us , had to ask 3 different servers for are bill to leave and go eat some we're else. NO ONE CAME BACK or acknowledged us. Had to get up and get the hostess yes 2 different host to finally get are check. We let the manager know it was are first time coming &' we did not like the food and didn't eat anything except coupe bites, are plates were still full and showed them. &' we STILL Had to pay 2 full price buffets. The staff were very pleasant, but the food was awful. This place has a great selection, but beware. I tried the Mongolian grill first. That's pretty hard to mess up, and if it doesn't taste good... That's your own fault, right? WRONG! For the protein, I saw some steak. I thought that sounded pretty good. I proceeded to choose several veggies and then my sauce. The meal came out slight scorched. (No big deal.) The steak was very chewy, but the concerning part is that it tasted like it was old. I took a few bites and then that little voice in my head said to me "you probably shouldn't eat that... It tastes like it's ruined..." I then moved on to the buffet line: soup and egg rolls. The hot and sour soup looked good, but had very little flavor. It was hot (temperature wise), but no spices and no sour bite... Just meh. The egg rolls were a nasty, chewy mush of pork inside. I then tried a sampling of different types of chicken. Most were just overly sweet and mushy. The temperature of the food was also another concern. The food was just barely warm on some of the items. I think if the health inspector came around and checked the temperatures, there would be an issue. I honestly can't recommend any single thing that I ate here. It's pretty busy here too, which surprised me--mainly large Hispanic families with lots of young children running around. My bill with a soda came to 13.62 for dinner. I've DEFINITELY had better meals for this price. I'm afraid I will not be coming back here again. read more

This is one of my favorite places. I qualify for the Senior Citizen discount that is available between 2-3:30 PM, so that is usually when I go (lunch menu). The staff is very polite (I miss the nice lady who used to wear a sweater all the time, even in the Summer....lol!). I've been often enough to know what I like. I always get the coconut chicken, and even though it's not exactly a Chinese dish, I get the mashed potatoes and put some sauce over them. I also like the salmon, shrimp pasta, and I get the chicken wings along with a side of ranch dressing. I get the pot lickers (wish they had soup dumplings), some sushi, and occasionally some boiled shrimp. I finish it off with watermelon. The only thing I wish they would add is either roast duck, chicken, or pork. They have grilled stuffed mushrooms, but I prefer them fried. Overall, I think Regal Buffet is excellent. I'm just going to start off by saying--I absolutely LOVED your orange chicken. Today was quite a jam-packed day out with my friends, being a busy Sunday with church and my confirmation. After sitting in mass for about an hour and a half, food was the first thing on me and my friends' minds. All fifty of them. We arrived at the restaurant and were immediately met with friendly, hospitable faces. We got seated right away and had a jolly good time chatting over plates of rice. The place was very homey and felt like my house back in the Philippines, which perfectly matched the buffet atmosphere. The food was decent, and we didn't worry too much about bad service. However, the only thing keeping this review from being five stars is, although quite tedious, a necessary comment. I suggest that you work on keeping your place more Filipino-proof. I hardly ever post a review but this I can not let go. My husband is very picky when we go out to eat! I mean who doesn't want to dine in a clean establishment! This place was far from. The restrooms were filthy and the floors and ceiling had roaches. I was unable to capture the roaches on the floor as we know the move fast but I did snap a pic of the one right above our head that went unnoticed until we were almost done with our meal. After finally getting a staff members attention (he ignored us twice) he says oh we will take care of it.. A lady then came over to look at it and said oh yeah they fly in here. After seeing multiple I do not feel as though these were random roaches that just flew in as they looked to be getting a good meal daily from this place. We took our check to the front to pay and offered us 15% off our ticket. As someone in management when I customer is unhappy I make sure I take care of their bill NO MATTER what. This is not something we asked for however we did expect a little more from them. The woman with short hair at the register was VERY rude. We ended up receiving a buy one get a kids buffet free coupon from a very sweet customer to which the waitress took from us to "adjust" the ticket however we never received the discount. After arguing with this woman at the register that we had the coupon and wanted to be refunded they were still arguing that we didn't give anyone a coupon. HOW DO I GIVE A COUPON TO YOU THAT YOUR STAFF TOOK TO ADJUST MY TICKET. After all of this and a good 20 minutes of arguing we decided to let the final customer know about the roaches as this is just disgusting. I have sent an email with pictures and video of the roach we were able to get a pic of to the health inspector as I pray this does not happen to another family dining with their best friends. This restaurant was SO GOOD! I highly recommend! It was very clean(the cleanest buffet I've been to in a long while), the staff was prompt and attentive without bothering us. Our drinks were always refilled in a timely manner and our plates were cleared quickly too! The ambiance was very relaxing and quiet- not super loud like some buffets can be. The seating is nicely spaced so you aren't right on top of the next family and everyone has privacy with their conversations. They had a great selection of food, the Mongolian grill was delicious and the chef made it nice and crispy for us (no shortcuts), and the sushi selection and flavor was phenomenal! The price is pretty standard but I feel like you get a lot of bang for your buck. And one of the biggest things for me that you don't see a lot around buffets is they offer Kikkoman soy sauce which is almost unheard of but I personally prefer this brand over others, they also have the low sodium version (my favorite) by the sushi area! First time at this buffet and we were very disappointed. We got there at 9:30 and saw that they close at 10:00 but they said it was ok. At 9:40 they started taking ALL the sushi away and left 2 types out. At 10:00 they started cleaning with very strong cleaning supplies to where it was bothering us at our tables. The entire time they were huddled in a corner waiting for us to leave in which it made us very uncomfortable. The food was really good and enjoyable. Buffet was decent. Personally id rather go to buffet palace across the way. On the plus side this has more of a selection outside of just regular Chinese buffet food. I can remember ham of some sort, multiple salad choices and a better Mongolian grill selection. Dinner was around $11 I think with tax. Prices are posted as you walk in which is nice. Overall like I said I would still prefer buffet palace for quality and a slightly cheaper price, but this works if you need a change of pace. read more
