I'm so grateful they've upgraded their seats. The recliners are comfy and I love the tray / table to eat your food off of instead of having to juggle it in your lap. They added a bar right near the front which looks awesome but wasn't open for the matinee showings. Lots of showings for the movies that are in theaters and you can get your parking validated for free parking. Loving the upgrades and additions! Looking forward to trying the 4D theater sometime in the future. read more

Went here to see the Batman movie during my stay in Orlando. The movie tickets are reasonable compared to market prices. They obviously get you with the concessions and beware the parking fees for the garage for the plaza. The theater could be updated a bit more for the area and customers it serves. The railing in front of the seats is somewhat annoying and during this time the place could be a little cleaner. Also could be a little cooler in the theater overall. read more

The Regal Cinemas Pointe Orlando is quickly becoming my "go to" movie theater. I think many people are turned off by it because you will need to park in the Pointe Orlando garage if driving. The movie theater is located inside of the Pointe Orlando complex where you can also find many dining and shopping options if you want to make a night of it. Anywho, parking here will cost you if you do not get your parking ticket validated at the theater. This is really no big whoop as there are two validation machines where you just scan your ticket after passing the usher/ticket taker to get to your movie. If you do park in the garage, it may be a bit confusing to actually get to the theater depending on what way you go and what level you park on. Also, the movie theater's entrance is on the second level. If you are entering from the left of the theater, (the very left), there area labyrinth of stairs to get there. It can be an adventure. I usually stay on the walkway with the escalators to the left and Adobe Gilla's Mexican restaurant to the right. When you reach the theater, the entrance doors are on the left. Once entering, you can also find tickets machines to your left. You don't have to talk to anyone if you don't want to! Get your ticket and pick your seat there, if you didn't do it online already. If you avoided human contact here, you will need to interact with the ticket taker. After that, if you want snacks, its off to the Concessions stand on your right. Even when busy, which I find is not often unless its one of our numerous "high seasons" for tourists or a blockbuster is opening, the Concessions stand moves quickly. As this is part of the movie experience for me, its makes a difference, ya know? So, kudos to this particular theater for staffing their needs and the needs of their movie goers accordingly! (Quick note: If you are over 21, even well over 21 and would like an adult beverage with your movie, you will need your ID ... even if you are obviously 80 years old. They won't serve you without it. Again, kudos for a well trained staff!) This theater has also undergone a recent renovation bringing them up to date with those wonderful, cushy reclining chairs, being able to choose your seats (seat assignments) and swinging trays to hold all of your goodies you bought at the well staffed Concessions stand. They also have movies playing in standard format, 3D and IMAX. You have options people! The place is clean, the staff is friendly and I can park in the garage for free. Why not take advantage and make it dinner and a movie with all of the restaurants just a few feet away as well. This is pretty much the only movie theatre I go to these days. Situated perfectly in Pointe Orlando, you have a multi story parking lot which is a great help. Check the weather though, because if it's raining, you have no option to buy to walk through It. So bring an umbrella! When buying tickets, head up to the 2nd floor. You can either use the self serve machines or wait in the line at the desk. The each theater has been renovated to have those big luxurious leather seats. With the touch of a button you can decline and have your feet up in the air. It is EXTREMELY comfortable. As this movie theatre also serves food, you have a little swing table. They do NOT do 'table service' where they bring food to you. Go get your own! Lol. What I love is that even in a full showing, there's still plenty of room between you and the next person, so it's not uncomfortable in that aspect. It is a large movie theatre with all the newest movies. The location is perfect because there are so many options to get food and drink around you. (Just look up the Pointe Orlando map). Regal theater at Point Orlando. First time at this theater. It seemed very nice and big from outside. Lobby area well kept nice and tall. The bathrooms clean. No where to sit in the lobby unless your at the bar. I Went to the concession stand as usual. The popcorn area to put butter could use someone to clean up. Popcorn all over the counter and floor. I Went to theater 3 to see Doctor Strange The theater is self was nice not super big and not to small. There is black reclining chairs with a little table so you can eat your snacks I thought that was nice most theaters are doing that. unfortunately the chairs seem beat up. Great theater for seeing IMAX. They also validate your parking ticket inside. The have a decent bar and concession stand. Only flaw is the theater is super outdated, they need a remodel. They're also located only on the second floor. They have a mini arcade if you like arcade games. If you're a Regal member you can also earn point for your purchases. Overall a nice place for you to see movies and there is not a lot of traffic at this theater. read more

I enjoy visiting this theater from time to time. It's a little further away from me, but it shows a lot of movies, the theaters are more intimate and have comfy seats, and it's usually a quick and easy process to get your tickets from one of the kiosks and order your concessions. They also validate parking which is nice. It's a little annoying to get from the garage to the theater if it's a bad weather kind of day, but it's really not that bad unless they are super busy. There are also several restaurants right in the area so you can easily grab a bite to eat before or after your movie. Overall, it's a good option to check out a movie. read more

I went to see Spider-Man: No Way Home and I took my younger cousins to see the film there were 5 of us total, the refreshment lines were so long and moving really slow they were either under staff or just slow at the counter, I was in line for 20 minutes!! As I'm getting closer to the counter the guy is yelling Cash only no Cards...?!! Really?!.. So, if you waited for 20 to 25 minutes in line and had no Cash you were not getting refreshments, luckily for me, I always have cash on the side... Now when is finally my turn to the counter, the server tells me "there's only Big Soda and Small Popcorn, No Menu Deals" in other words purchase the refreshments we're serving or get no refreshments at all for 2 hours and 30 minutes... I pretty much paid for 4 extra IMAX tickets in refreshments and conveniently the manager couldn't be found. The theater room wasn't properly cleaned, it was hot and muggy the air conditioner was off people were complaining about it until they turned it on, it was a horrible night as an adult, but an entertaining night for the kids. For a first time visit at Regal Pointe Orlando IMAX & 4DX it was a disappointing, ridiculous, and very expensive experience, I will never go out of my way and drive down to this location with my family again, I won't even recommend it to my friends. - Movie Theaters wonders why people prefer to watch movies from the comfort of their homes. - Thanx to technology we can stream/torrents.-- read more

Situated in a large outdoor mall which is reminiscent of gardenwalk in Anaheim, or the Block in Orange, this theater isn't too large, but is easy to navigate and has a great IMAX theater. Unfortunately the concessions counters are very limited, so be prepared to wait long, and/or miss the first 15 minutes of your movie, on a busy evening. read more

4 Stars for Orlando's only true IMAX theater that also happens to be pretty clean and validates parking fully (Say what?!?!). Well, it's official. True IMAX theaters are very different than the slightly-bigger-than-normal screens some of the other theaters in town are trying to pass of as IMAX. The screen is absolutely enormous and the sound was really phenomenal. Additionally, the stadium seating is exaggerated so you really feel like there's no one in front of you. Another thing I really appreciated was that they fully validated parking. When you're paying ~$19/ticket (for IMAX), having to tag on a couple of bucks for parking would be pretty annoying. One thing they may want to improve is staggering the cleaning of bathrooms. Just before our movie every single men's bathroom was closed for cleaning (that's three separate bathrooms). We let someone know and 10 minutes later they were still scrambling trying to find a janitor to fix the situation. My fella ended up just going in one of the blocked off bathrooms anyway. It was odd that the manager didn't just open a bathroom when he realized a bunch of people were waiting. Otherwise, the experience was pretty great. Can't wait to watch the next over-the-top action flick in this giant screen! Pro-tip: bring an umbrella because it's impossible to not get soaked from the theater to the parking garage when it's raining. read more

Hubby and I spent 3 full days enjoying Universal Studios / Harry Potter world and the surrounding businesses. 3 full days for 2 adults (no kids to slow us down) and during off season during a cold front thru Orlando meant we had plenty of down time to relax and explore. We saw 2 movies here - Passengers and The Arrival and practically had the entire theater to ourselves. Plenty of showtimes to fit our schedule, hardly any lines and the fancy coke machines which made choosing what to drink the hardest decision I had to make. Minus 2 stars for awkward service - the guy taking our tickets didn't greet us, didn't make eye contact and looked like he just found out that his hibernation pod opened 80 years too soon. Our "thank you" was met with a grunt. And then ... while I was trying to figure out what flavor coke to get, the cleaning staff queued up to clean that area kept yelling "HURRY UP, HURRY UP". I don't think she was talking to me - but was rather joking with her friend, but it was jarring when I had such an important decision to make. Picture and sound quality were all calibrated so no issues there. read more

I liked the location of this theater. It's close to International and there are some restaurants, bars, and clothing stores around. I went to see the Secret Life of Pets, which was super cute and I really enjoyed the movie. The complaint that I have is that the screen was really small and the seats are so close together that you don't have room to put your legs in front of you. Two tickets equaled a little over 24 dollars which is pretty expensive considering it's just a regular movie theater without anything special (it wasn't even iMax or 3D). I recently had the opportunity to experience the new 4DX Cinema at Regal Pointe Orlando when I went to a showing of KONG: SKULL ISLAND this past weekend. Having been to this Regal in the past, I was never a huge fan due to its location in Pointe which is always a pain to park at, and the age and poor maintenance the theater had. I've also never been a huge fan of the Regal theater chain, as they have a weak rewards program, and often cost more than AMC, but don't provide anything extra to justify this cost. As the theater was undergoing a major renovation however, and was one of only 6 cinemas in the country to have the 4DX format, I decided to give it another shot. Seating for the theaters are all reserved, so I purchased tickets ahead of time on Fandango to ensure I would have a good seat. We were able to get seats in the dead center of the theater, and arrived a few minutes before showtime to grab them. We approached the ticket taker with my phone, he scanned our tickets, and directed us to our theater while handing us our 3D glasses. Although we didn't hit the concession stand on this particular visit, I have in the past, and it's your typical movie theater food, with nothing really standing out besides the concession stand's large pizza oven. Although I can't speak for this visit, in the past, I do remember the concession stand being on the slower side due to the way it's set up. We headed in to the theater, and grabbed our seats just as the previews began. The 4DX effects were overall amazing, with the exception of the smoke which should have been used more and more of it, as the small amount of smoke shot out during certain scenes was more of a distraction than anything else. In one scene of the movie, the main characters were in a helicopter flying through a bad storm and the theater emulated this scene perfectly. Water misted and poured on us in the crowd, lightning flashed through strobe lights in the theater, fans blew high winds at us, and the seats moved violently like a turbulent plane. It really felt like we were in the scene. The seats weren't the most comfortable but because of the motor and vibration present was understandable. The renovation to the theater appears to have really fixed some of the dated issues the theater had, but there are still changes to be made like the concession stand. Although I didn't have much interaction with the staff, the encounter I did have was a nice, pleasant experience. I wouldn't go to Pointe Orlando for a regular cinema experience as it's more expensive and harder to get to, but for special films in 4DX, I would definitely go back. read more

Ever since moving to Orlando about 6 years ago, I have bee periodically going to Regal Pointe Orlando to see films on their amazing, breathtaking, 5-story tall, true IMAX screen. Really, there is no other way to experience a film in IMAX, and this is especially true if the film happens to be in 3D as well. Pointe Orlando also happens to be one of my favorite movie theaters in the Orlando area when it comes to attending midnight screenings, even if it is a screening that is not in IMAX. This is simply due to the fact that there will usually always be promoters and other events going on at the theater in conjunction with the new film being released, so really the atmosphere becomes more exciting than just going to say a mall movie theater for a big premier. As far as the Pointe Orlando location itself, I have no issues with having to park in the Pointe Orlando garage to go see a movie. The good news is they have parking validation through the theater which is easy to take advantage of, and also that even if you do have to pay, it never typically ends up being very much. Also I love the fact that there are so many great restaurants right there as well in front of the theater--it makes for a great dinner + a movie date night. Also, Pointe Orlando has a huge variety of items at its concession stand, ranging from beer and wine to pretzel bites. And even the one time we were at this theater and had a customer service related issue (we had to exchange tickets for one showtime to another), we were promptly taken care of with no questions asked. And the great thing is, we now live close enough to say that this is one of the two theaters that we will usually end up at if we are going to see a movie. :-) read more

I was skeptical about attending a movie at this location because I am such a Cinebistro movie snob. However, it was raining, so a movie seemed like a great idea to pass the time. Regal has movie ticket machines at the entrance, in order to streamline the ticketing purchasing process. Most movie theaters have had these for years and I don't understand why people continue to wait in long lines. We decided on "Transformers IMAX 3D" and it took me less than two minutes to purchase our tickets. I was so happy when we reached the concession stand because they served beer and wine here! We ordered a couple of Blue Moons, poured extra extra butter on our popcorn and we were off to the IMAX theater. The theater and the screen were HUGE! However, the 3D glasses were archaic and bulky. Movie was a bit too long, but I will save that review for another site. In spite of those minor details, we enjoyed the movie and were thrilled we could drink in the theater. I am not a huge fan of movie theaters that are not 21 and up, but I would definitely return to this venue since I am able to imbibe here. read more

This movie theater is enormous! We came on our honeymoon to see The Avengers, and I reserved recliner seats in this theater. I'm glad we had reserved seats, because neither of us realized you need to park in the parking garage in order to get into this building. We drove around the block twice and arrived just in time to take our seats before the movie started. This theater offers some hot food options including pizza, hot dogs, cheese sticks as well as popcorn and candy . Each recliner seat had a tray table you could turn and have across your lap while comfortably reclined. That is a great perk for those of us who like to enjoy snacks while lounging in front of the big screen. A note to the wise, bring your parking ticket into the theater with you, and make sure to have your parking validated before you leave. read more

I have regal unlimited so the thought of paying to see my free movie bothers me but there are two small scanners on the wall after the customer service desk where you can validate your parking and it makes it free. I went to the Regal Pointe recently for an advance screening of one of the movies playing there. I had my ticket ready on my phone before arriving for admission, which was provided by the screening company. While at the theater, the ticket was accepted with no problem and the employees were very friendly. The location is the only reason my review if four stars instead of five. Parking was a little rough for my family's truck because the parking garage nearby has a clearance of 6' 8". We ended up parking behind the IFly and walked to the theater from there. When we made it to the plaza, we had to walk around; getting turned away from one walkway that led to the theater because of a private event. After a few stairways, we made it to the doors. Inside the theater is stunning. The high ceilings and updated interior felt classy and welcoming. The concession stand was clean and we had our popcorn ready to go very quickly. Inside the theater, they have reclining leather seats and so MUCH legroom! It's amazing for me since I'm over 6 feet tall. Even though the movie was entertaining, I wanted to take a nap because the seats were so comfortable. My experience at the Regal was very nice and I do plan to come back and enjoy another showing. read more

This review reflects my visit on Thanksgiving Day, 2013 November 28 for the 12 noon showing of Hunger Games - Catching Fire in IMAX. MY 12 NOON IMAX ADULT TICKET COST $18. It was not worth it based on my review. THE AUTOMATED TICKET MACHINES ARE SLOW. After selecting purchase ticket, the movie selection screen did not show quickly. It took approximately 2 minutes. The total transaction took approximately 4 minutes. THERE WERE NO STAFF TO BUY TICKETS FROM, so the automated ticket machines was my only option. THIS IMAX IS FAKE. It has a real screen, but the projection system was switched to DLP. That is, for Hunger Games - Catching Fire, the projection does not cover the entire top and bottom of the screen. THERE APPEAR TO BE NO RESTROOMS INSIDE THE PAID-ENTRY AREA. The men's restroom is located outside of the ticket check / paid-entry area. (It looks the same for the women's restroom.) As a local I noticed that International Drive on the Orange County area side, is starting to really fix up Pointe Orlando, ever since I-drive 360 has opened. I absolutely love it here, LOVE IT!! I see so much potential here and as a local Orlando resident, I realize that we at times take this place for granted. Today, I got out of work early since I'm a small business owner, and I made the trek over to this side of town from east side, to catch Jurassic World IMAX before the NEW Terminator takes over... It was absolutely my last chance to see it on the BIGGEST SCREEN in town, and watching movies in IMAX at Regal Pointe Orlando is my absolute favorite!! Why?? The location is beautiful, it's excellence to go for a walk after work, not too crowded, and a family type crowd! The restaurants are really good here and there's plenty on International Drive, The weather is absolutely stunning today and the customer service in Regal is top notch. I love how the theater is set up, park on the third floor and take a bridge and there you are. You can get a voucher for parking, and everyone there is SO NICE!! Good selection of snacks and always clean. The main IMAX theater is RIGHT THERE to walk right in... It wasn't crazy but it had a nice tourist crowd and and a few obvious WDW Cast Members off duty... Lol (they love to tell everyone they're Cast Members.) lol And because I bought the Blu-ray collection's edition of the Jurassic Park series, which came with a COUPON to up to $7.50 off on Fandango!! I had to go.. Lol But because it was a last-minute trip which I usually plan ahead, but I didn't realize that 30 minutes before the movie it's too late to use it on the app... I usually don't see a movie TWICE in theater unless it's THAT GOOD, and some movies I'll buy in collecting my Blu-ray collection; this will DEFINITELY be one of them!!! (i'm frugal lol) I saw her name was Kayla, and she made EVERY effort to see if there is a way to give me a discount as long as she collected the coupon which is absolutely fair.... She came up with an idea and wanted to verify with her manager if there was a way to give me a special discount since I wasn't able to purchase the ticket on my app, her Manager was Timothy, and he was more than HAPPY to help out, walked over and make sure that I got a discount that was probably better than the coupon!!! I didn't ask for that, but that's what happen when you're nice to people I guess?? He was smiling because I told him I really wanted to catch Jurassic World before it left IMAX and I drove all the way from UCF, when they realized I was a local, it's like they went even more they were out of the way for me to give me OUTSTANDING customer service.!! Not only were they quick about it but I walked in and only had to wait three minutes for the movie to start after a little line for popcorn. Fire alarms, construction, disorganization , and lack of decent management to sum it up. Trying to see an IMAX version of Fantastic Beasts. A fire alarm went off after 15 min of previews (before the movie started). Everyone evacuated. In 20 minutes of waiting outside no one came out to say anything. Then they let us back in to wait in a long line (without direction as to what line is for what). Some movies are going to play, many are not. The theater has smoke in it. Total chaos, disorganization, and no signs of a manager. The whole mall has tons of construction that you have to navigate around. They eventually said is was construction workers fault. I would skip this mall until they are done. As far as the theater, over $18 per ticket...hmm think twice on this. They don't have recliners yet either. read more

Checked out the new Star Wars flick in 4X 3D at this movie theater. The tickets are about $25 each for this experience. 4X 3D is a fully immersive Movie experience where your seat moves, you have water spraying at you it feels like bullets fly by your head, and you feel the impact from the lightsabers on the screen. Heck we even saw snow! It was a lot of fun and it definitely made sure I stayed alert through the whole movie. the kids really enjoyed it but I have to say oh, I'm getting a little bit old and the herky-jerky seed action and the impact from the lightsabers made it seem like someone was kicking the back of my see a bunch and the cold water sprays or a bit much for me. I can imagine my old mom sitting in here hating the hell out of it. It's a bit aggressive a time but it might be because of the movie we saw. Action pack equals lots of movement in your seats. I enjoyed the experience but at the same time I'm not sure if I pay the extra money for this experience again unless it was a different movie with less action. read more

I really enjoy coming to this theater. The best part is that it usually is not too busy. In fact, I just saw Tron: Legacy here in IMAX 3D, and there were only about a dozen people in the theater (granted, this was at 11:00am on a Wednesday). In any case, they do have an amazing IMAX screen, which is the only way I'm willing to pay full price to see a movie. I thought it might be annoying the first time we came, but it's actually super fun and a game changer to the movie going experience- especially action movies. Tickets are pricey, especially for 4DX, because it's in the tourist area and a nice theater. However, I love that they validate parking. Rivals like Cobb Plaza will only give you a percentage off. So at least you save money for parking. Tip: if you have T-Mobile we come here when they offer the $5 movies through T-Mobile Tuesday's/Atom...to see in 4DX! Amazing deal. This has been my most treasured cinema experience with out a doubt the seats were absolutely outstanding , you can move them backwards and forwards by a press of a button and when you do so a leg rest comes out too. Even better you have you're own tray built into the seats to put you're beverages in also with a built in cup holder. The tickets are cheep the snacks are great and it all add up to a mega experience. I can rate this a strong 5 stars. read more

A cool place to have a cinema! Inside clean and spacious. Went to see Walking With Dinosaurs 3D with my son.. At first, we were alone until five minutes in the movie a family of six sat three rows below us! Yikes, talk about thinking you are in a ghost town! I mean, never have I gone to a cinema with just a total of eight people watching a movie!!! But the popcorn was really good! read more

Excellent, surrounded by some great restaurants and bars, you could spend an entire day or evening without driving anywhere, just park in the huge garage and get your ticket validated. During Covid, this area is hurting, usually its crowded. read more

They serve beer here. they won my approval off that alone. Not sure if that was a theatre thing or that's just how they do things in Florida theatres. I'm in a nice mood, let's give them a fourth star for it being in a complex to do a variety of things for entertainment. Grade: A- read more

We went to this theater and saw an awesome movie. However nine of the 10 seats that we tried were broken and uncomfortable. We settled for one working seat and one other that was next to it that wasn't in too much disrepair (pitching forward which just took a bit to get used to). Perhaps AMC or another Regal theater in another area might have seats that are not broken. The theater was overall clean and well taken care of in the common areas. read more
