Great place to take the family for quick movie flick. TURLOCK Cinema has 14 screens. It offers standard edition and real 3D formats.

The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because staff was actually kind to me and my husband and assisted as professional as they could. The thing that got to me the most is the fact the seats are super uncomfortable and small as well as there is hardly or no space to stretch or move without bumping into your neighbor or the back seats surrounding you especially if the movie is three hours long you'd expect at least some comfy chairs that make your stay more suitable. Also bathroom maintenance needs to be done more occasionally because it was a big mess when I walked in and there was toilet all over the floor. I'm so unsatisfied because if you are a plus size those chairs are no where near for you! read more

ignore the bad reviews. it's a theater. there's always cell phones, babies, high school girls, and high priced food. get over it. this theater is clean and well maintained and the projector and sound quality are good. that's all I can expect when I go to the theaters. I also frequent the theaters in Merced and they are of much lesser quality and I am relieved when I get to watch a movie in this theater. read more

Unfortunately I no longer go to this theater even though I live in Turlock. I drive to Modesto or Riverbank for the luxury seats. I have a bad back and can't sit through a movie in those seats! Too bad as I would rather stay in town! Maybe they will read these and realize they are losing a ton of business due to this simple fact! read more

Just wanted to say excellent customer service. We're always deciding whether to go to the movie theaters in Modesto or stay in Turlock and now we are more than likely to choose Turlock because of how great they treat their customers. The manager there is fantastic even though some of the theater goers aren't, but that is expected wherever you go. read more

This is my favorite movie theater. I love coming here. It's nice and clean. The prices are average for a movie theater. The popcorn is fresh and hot. I like that. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will continue to come here. read more

The most uncomfortable seating I've ever experienced. The seats were too narrow, no leg room (my knees were touching the seat back of the row in front of me) and the armrests are fixed (ie you can't lift them out of the way) I wouldn't recommend seeing a movie in this theater to anyone, especially if they are tall, heavy, or disabled. It was very disappointed this midnight. I was playing in the arcade when an employee asked me to play my last game. It was no problem whatsoever. I wasn't quite sure about the closing time of the arcade. Well.... a second after she said that, they shut down the arcade. AFTER I swiped my card to play 5 games.. This was the best service we ever had at a theater. I went with my mom and sister on wed the 24th at a 7:20pm movie. I don't remember all the girls names but they were very helpful, and one of them even went out of there way. She said the coffee would be ready in 5 min and to come get it then, but it ended up being ready before we thought it would and the girl took it into the theater where we were sitting right to my mom. Now that is service! On top of them all being very sweet. They had a big screen to watch the movie as well. We really enjoyed going to this theater. read more

The Turlock theater isn't so bad. If you go on a Friday or Saturday evening, good luck in waiting in line for tickets and having to shove your way through a bunch of obnoxious teenagers that have been dumped there while their parents have a few next door at lampost pizza. Three requests though leave the cell phone in the car, leave your baby with grandma or the high school girl next door, and shut up during the movie. read more

I arrived at 10:30 am for an 11:00 am showing. I bought my ticket online and so I was able to walk into the lobby. A worker stopped me and said they were currently closed. I informed her I had my ticket and that the door was unlocked. She told me that was a mistake. I aksed if I could just sit and wait for my party, but she said I had to leave. I did, and as soon as I walked out the door they put out a sign and let other people in. The other people were those from my party whom I invited. That was extremely rude to ask me to leave when as soon as I shut the door they claimed to be open. Better off driving to Galaxy in Riverbank. read more

I absolutely love going to the movies . This isn't my go-to theater but it's closer to home. I went to see Edge of Tomorrow on 6/6 for the 10:10 pm showing. First of all the center channel speaker hummed loudly throughout the entire movie. The only time it wasn't irritating was during heavy action sequences. The speaker was the least of the issues though. Employees didn't come in until the very end of the movie. There were at least 4 idiots in front of me with their cell phones on, not to mention the flashes of light behind me. At Galaxy in Riverbank they ask you to leave if you talk or use your phone. At AMC in Manteca they nicely ask you to put it away or you will be asked to leave. To top it off there were multiple couples talking the entire time. I politely asked one couple to not talk and they kindly stopped. After that it was just annoying. I just wanted to pay attention to the movie I was over charged for. I wasn't even able to concentrate on the bad speaker or the uncomfortable seat. I don't mind paying 10.50 for a movie if I can actually watch it. I didn't pay to be distracted by phones and talkers. Yes, I take responsibility for going here knowing very well they are lax on the idiots who leave their phones on and talk. That lesson being learned I won't be back. read more

Not impressed!! We arrived 40 min early and picked out some snacks. The gal at the counter was friendly but even though she wasn't helping anyone she took a while to call us to the counter because she was to busy chatting with her co-worker. No biggie we get our goodies and head to our theatre. We are now about 25 minutes till our showtime. Huh well the theatre isn't ready yet. Ok so we sit in the hallway and wait. Next thing we know the manager tells us we need to go to the front of the theatre and wait in line... Huh the movie is supposed to start in 20 minutes but ok whatever. So we go get inline snacks in tow. The movie is 3 weeks old and the crowd isn't that big but we will play along. 15 minutes later they finally let us in. They never tell us what's going on or why the delay. It was frustrating knowing the movie was supposed to start soon and staff kept walking by the line and looking at us. No apology or anything. We find our seats and now our food is cold. We had 5 minutes till Showtime and we were just annoyed so we didn't say anything but it just seemed like they didn't really care. Ok folks, let's get relief you have money- or are a pretentious snob, you are already at THE STATE...But if you have kids and the vacation needs breaking up if you are SMART you are either at Riverbank or Turlock. Seriously I WANT to like the Modesto theaters but I don't appreciate the very forceful pan handlers, bad parking and thieves in the parking lot. In Turlock you get to see a movie, get typical movie grub and feel relatively safe walking to and from your car . The kids like fun works next door- and I like the pizza parlour I am not afraid to admit. Have more time on your hands ...check out the new theater in Manteca- very nice! read more

First of all I'm a little perplexed on why the prices at this facility are higher than its competitors in Modesto and riverbank where I pay $10.75 for a movie ticket and $5.00 in Modesto on Tuesdays. Also their food prices in Modesto and riverbank are significantly cheaper, also the cleanliness of the facility in Turlock can use some work in comparison to there competitors. The arm rests are small and the seat cushions are in need of repair along with the fabric. The audio system is sub par and the video screens are small. I feel like I've visited the Walmart of movie theaters, except the do not roll back prices. I'm afraid that the great town of Turlock will soon have no movie theater if they don't attempt to step up there game and do the bare minimum to keep up with their competition. read more

Regal theaters have morons running their operation. I ordered a large popcorn WITH the refill for my son like I do at every movie theater I go to of course with every other movie theater it's not a problem. Regal on the other hand, has a policy that is utterly moronic as they decided that they can only give you a refill in small plastic containers. Enough small plastic containers that would allow you to fill up a large bucket of popcorn. Which is about 6 small plastic containers. So I went ahead and allowed them to do just that. Then I asked them if they had something I could carry all of my containers in and they said sure, we have a box you can put them in. I said to them, can you just put it all in that box for me and they said, no sir, our policy will allow you to put it in that box but we are not allowed to. So I went ahead and put them all in the box they gave me. So now with their nice moronic policy, they have used 6 plastic containers and one box which probably cost them twice as much if not more then it would have cost them to use one extra bucket. Not only that but the extra 5 minutes we spent doing this didn't exactly make the customers behind us very happy. Good going morons! read more
