The bottom crust of the pizza was so hard. The cheese wasn't fully melted and the inside was a bit soggy and doughy. The sauce and pepperoni were the only edible thing for the most part. I saw there were multiple locations so I wonder if the quality is the same. But it certainly tasted like it sat in that window for hours. Disappointing to say the least. read more

I got a voucher for a meal due to a delayed flight, and I had a taste for pizza. I knew this pizza wouldn't be great, but even being pretty hungry, I couldn't force myself to finish half of it. Arguably the portion is small-ish but it's probably enough calories for typical layovers. It's not particularly special, but... Outside of the airport I'd give this 3 stars but the quality & price are good for the location, in the concourse c food court. Got the pizza with pepperoni & sausage. I love having deep dish pizza in Chicago....but when you don't have enough time to leave the airport this place is a nice option. There's a few different locations throughout the airport. Even with a line, it moves fast... since the pizza's are constantly being brought out of the oven. I went with a pepperoni pizza, a personal is cut into four slices... perfect amount. Was really hungry after getting off the plane from Dulles. So I stopped in for a Chicago Dog. I can't say I've actually ever had this style of Dog before: Tomatoes, onions, some sort of mild hot pepper, a dill pickle slice, pickle relish, yellow mustard, and some sort of seasoning - Celery salt I think. I have nothing to compare it to you - but it took the edge off my hunger. It did not wow me. There is not a lot of sweating here - two small tables as I recall, and they were both in use. Reggio's seemed to be the only pizza spread throughout the airport. I did see quite a few people on the way to my gate with those personal pizza boxes too. The crust seemed dry but it was still good. I ordered a personal pepperoni pizza. The total was just under 10 bucks. This place keeps the personal pizzas fixed and on a warmer. Once you order, all they have to do is scoop it off the warmer and into a box. You pay and you're eating your pizza in minutes. Depending on how long some of those pizzas sit there, results may vary. The cheese also came off my slices in one bite. That's fine if you're in the mood for extra cheese on your pizza and in this situation that's exactly what I wanted. I grew up in the southwest suburbs and Joe's Hot Dogs was my favorite...back when Joe would give my little brother and I a free Dixie Cup of milkshake with our hot dog and bag of fries. Good old Joe. The service was poor from the sense of zero friendliness or any level of "I don't hate my life." It's Ok and convenient. One of many establishments in the food court at the airport. They offer deep dish pizza, nothing that is worth bragging about. But it works. I have been here a few times in the past. Since I like pizza, I'll usually come here if I want to grab something to eat before my flight. Pizza is pre cooked, so you will be in and out of the line in no time. I prefer to eat at my gate, easier to find a place to sit down. The pizza wasn't really much to write home about. The pizza did taste good and was really filling but it didn't stand out as something I would try again. You are not coming here for splendid service or fancy seating and ambiance. This is a take out kiosk with a belt toaster, a warmer and a retro, old, Casio push button cash register. The merit of this specific Reggio's is solely based on the traditional individual small Chicago Style deep dish pizza; with what it touts as its famous " butter crust ", as its tag line and claim to fame... So there were a few options available on the stickered menu and I decided on the " new " chicken and tomatoe individual deep dish pizza ($9.49). Of course, the only option is " to go " and very à propos today, bring in a hurry. I was in and out within a minute or so... After paying, the pizza box and bottle of soda that I picked up from the refrigerator on the left side of the till, made their way into a plastic grocery style bag and just like that, they started traveling with me as I ran to the gate that was already boarding my flight;...ooof come on... let's go, let's go!!! Ok, by now I had made it to my seat and turns out we still had a good fifteen minutes until take off... so I decided it was time to finally wolf down that small pizza and see what the fuss was all about! I took the box out of the bag from underneath my seat and, considering I had to run from c22 to c31 and go through the boarding process, the pizza had likely wobbled quite a bit and probably had an exhausting aerobic workout while travelling in the bag, the box being banged by a foaming Soda bottle that would explode if opened right away.... But no, au contraire, it turns out that the pizza remained snug and surprisingly still hot in its box! keep that brown box going Reggio's Pizza!!! " Now that was a 'pretty darn good looking chicken and tomatoe deep dish pizza! '' I said silently in my head as it was oozing with plenty of real chicken breast chunks (I'm very fussy about restaurant chicken, it needs to be the real thing not the rubbery blend you find at buffets and in satays under heat lamps!), fresh tomatoe and oodles and oodles of chewy, gooey oh so good melted cheese. There is no skimping on quality or quantity of the ingredients here. Again, Reggio's claims a world famous buttery crust " since 1972 ", I kept reading and glancing at the old style graphics box while chewing and enjoying stretches of cheese. I was separating the slices with the bottled drink on the little tray in front of me to wash things down a few bites a time and... omg! Yep yep....they actually mean it!!! The crust is super subtle but very nice and buttery! It has the right hint of crunchiness on the outside, while being nicely soft and chewy on the inside and, most importantly, ummmm...yes....tasty with each bite.
