Regina's Farm is an experience all on its own, and I don't think I can find the proper words to do it justice. All I can say is that you should try it at least once, because there are not enough stars that I can give it. This is a unique farm experience if you want to find out what Brazilian cooking is all about. If you go, go with friends, because everything is made fresh and it can take sone time to prepare everything for everyone. But you can take your own bottles of wine or champagne while waiting, and believe me, once you taste the array of food that is provided, you'll ser that the wait was worth it. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is casual, but warm and welcoming, as if you discovered an aunt who lives on a farm and wants to treat you to a meal. We've been going to Regina's Farm since 2016. Seeing its growth and popularity over the years is staggering; from a couple of months originally to now a 5 year waitlist! It's a magical experience. Over 4 hours you experience a 3-course meal prepared with love. The proceeds go to the church across the street. The dinner service is only 1-3 Saturdays a month. Beautiful Portuguese music plays all night. You feel like you are in Brazil. It's BYO wine. No beer or liquor. They have animals, tractor rides, and rope swings for kids. First course is salad, cornbread, flatbread pizza, 5 or 6 soup options, and pan de bono (cheese bread). Entrees range from goat, beef, chicken, fish skirt steak, and oxtail. We waited two years to dine at Regina's Farm and when we got the text saying there was an opening, we jumped at the chance! When else can you eat on a farm in the middle of a city? They're only open on Saturdays and offer a one of a kind experience you won't find anywhere near Fort Lauderdale. Upon making the reservation, we were told a few things - it's all cash, only wine and champagne are allowed on the premises (byob), parking is behind the church and the proceeds go to said church. And because it's outside, there's always a chance of rain interrupting the festivities and no refunds would be given. Luckily we got the text in December and the weather was relatively dry. When we arrived (we got there at 5:30, as soon as the place opened) we found the parking easy and walked across the street to wait in a line of dozens of other hungry patrons who got the text. Once we paid ($75 pp and $35 for kids), we were given string to wrap around our wrists and were told that there was a color system when it came to going up to get the food in the main food area served buffet style. We were then led to our picnic table in a sea of other picnic tables spread across the farm's expanse. Lights strung overhead gave all the warm cozy feels. It honestly felt like a neighborhood backyard barbecue. As we waited for the first course, the soups, to be ready, my stepson got a chance to feed the rabbits carrots and hay and play with the other kids there. It's super family friendly. They have swings, bubbles, animals and toys to keep the kiddos entertained, which will be important given that the whole experience is at least three hours. The soups were delicious - they served a variety, including oxtail, chicken, corn and bacon and a few others. They were hot, hearty, and tasty and were paired with Brazilian cheese bread, which I could've eaten a pound of. After an hour, the main course was ready and we waited our turn. Once our color was called up, we grabbed a plate and found an assortment of meats, fish, rice, beans, plantains and yucca. I grabbed whatever looked delish and made my way back to the table. The food was good but I wouldn't say it was on par with other Brazilian restaurants in town. And then came the desserts, everything from flan to a few pies, chocolate desserts and more. They also had coffee available and s'mores for the kids and kids at heart. Overall, Regina farms is a unique experience that provides a memorable night out with family and friends. I will say the price is a little high for the food they serve, which again isn't bad but it wasn't as tasty as I would have imagined it'd be. But the proceeds are donated to the church at least. If you sign up to get on the waitlist, be prepared to wait...a while. You may even forget you signed up. But when you get the text, go for it! Our three year wait was worth every second, minute, hour, day and month to feast here! How you can rate this experience anything less than 5+ stars is beyond me! Regina puts so much love into what she is preparing that every dish is a work of art to be enjoyed by your eyes and mouth and nose!! The food is such a wonderful surprise to experience! Fresh, flavorful, tasty and aromatic to say the least! Regina's love for cooking starts at 6:30 am where she uses the freshest ingredients in her heart warming dishes! First you start with the homemade soups. There must have been at least 6 different soups to start your meal with. I had the Ox tail soup and it was so wonderfully delicious. Rich broth with nice hearty chunks of fall off the bone meat! Very delicious! The main courses are so numerous that I wish you were given a pizza pan to use as a dinner plate! There must have been 10 to 15 main courses to try! The homemade comfort food was just so delicious! My plate was a huge pile the first pass through the line (see pictures). The desserts are to die for! So delicious! Wish my stomach was a lot larger to enjoy all of them! This place is so comfortable to sit and enjoy an evening in! i've been hearing about Regina Farm for years, but never got around to putting my name on waitlist which could be a few years. so when a friend of mine called me and told me she had reservations and if I wanted to go, I was so excited this place is definitely a whole experience. The food is made with love just like grandma would do. lots of different Brazilian dishes to try. this restaurant is quite different from the norm, it is nestled away in a backyard where if you didn't know it was there you would never find it. If you are lucky enough to go, make sure you dress comfortably because it is outside and thankfully, I was able to go in December which made it more appealing for me. If you have kids, they have a nice set up for children. It's always an amazing experience to have the chance to come here. Regina, Eliseu and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. They open at 6pm and when you arrive (price $65 adults and $35 5-13s, cash only) you get a "color bracelet", this is what they use to call you in order of arrival for the main buffet, that way there aren't too many people standing in line at the same time. Around 6:30pm they serve the soups, 4 savory, 1 sweet and 1 vegan. My favorites are always Oxtail soup and Corn with grits. After everyone has served themselves they make containers available for those who want to take soup home. Around 7:40pm they open the buffet after saying a prayer for the food, after all this restaurant profits goes to the church's charity. The buffet consists of super comfort food and fat from the Minas Gerais region - Brazil. And I mean "fat" because everything is made with a lot of oil. There are plenty of vegetarian options, but the meats are really delicious there. My favorite dish is "chicken with okra" which I put on top of polenta and also "oxtail". Another traditional dish is feijoada which goes very well with white rice and farofa. After serving yourself, eat slowly, enjoy the food, the atmosphere, after all it is not a restaurant to go in a hurry, it is a 4-hour experience, drink your wine and catch up with your friends. Around 8:45 pm they serve desserts, fruit salad, cakes, flans, ice cream and some Brazilian sweets. The most popular are milk flan, tres leches cake and chocolate pudding. My favorites are the coconut sweets and dulce de leche. After dessert and the whole experience, the only thing you will want to do is go home and sleep, as I said the whole experience and food are incredible so don't make plans for anything after the restaurant. Just a tip, if you are on the list to go, don't lose your reservation and if you don't want to go anymore, cancel it. People who simply don't show up for the reservation will end up on the "no other chance" list to go. Besides, you take away the opportunity from someone else who really wants to go and enjoy this experience. One thing they really need to improve is bathroom. Once a week on Saturdays, Regina's Farm aims to provide guests with a unique Brazilian homestyle dinner experience. In doing so, the non-profit organization raises funds for the Las Olas Worship Center. Led by Regina Rodrigues, the project organically began at her home, across the street from her church. Feeling nostalgic about her hometown in Brazil, she shared its food with friends every week after service. Slowly, it evolved from informal dinners and community fundraisers to what it is today--the toughest reservation to score in South Florida. Really. I forget how I heard about this experience. At some point in 2019, I requested a reservation via text and was assigned a spring 2021 date. I accepted, hoping to keep that reservation, wondering what I would be up to in the future. By the time the date came around, COVID issues had canceled the much-awaited dinner. I never heard back about a reopening or rescheduling date. In 2022, almost a year later, I inquired once again and was offered an almost immediate reservation for that following week. Unfortunately, it was one I could not make. It would have to wait until the next offered reservation in 2023. It took four years, but I made it! Wholesome, welcoming, and extremely laid-back are the best words to describe the overall experience at Regina's Farm. 5:00 p.m. As suggested in my text confirmation, our party of three arrived early. Parking was available across the street in a free designated lot. We then joined a short existing line that led us inside the property and to a table for registration. This is where guests checked in with the host, purchased drinks, and received picnic table assignments marked by colored ribbons. Only cash is accepted. Our party was the lucky color red, and the first group (out of six) to have access to the buffet. The space, mostly mulched, holds around 20 picnic tables. Palm trees don multicolored lights and strung flags, creating a festive and unique environment as Brazilian tunes fill the air. Families gathered and explored the chicken coop and rabbit areas with their children, rode the swings, and used the kiddie wagons provided, adding to the lively atmosphere. BYOB Guests are encouraged to bring wine or champagne. Glasses are provided. Beer and liquor are not allowed. 5:45 p.m. SOUP LINE Oversized pots holding several different types of soup (chicken, corn and bacon, sweet corn, oxtail, plus shrimp and fish) awaited guests--a perfect choice on a night when the weather teased in the lower 70s. A nearby table held ceramic pots and spoons for our use. One of the benefits of an early arrival was getting to this line quickly. The chicken and oxtail soups honestly tasted homemade in that grandma-lovingly-cooked-all-day way. I also enjoyed the accompanying cheese bread. 6:45 p.m. CHOW TIME Our group was up first. A few minutes later, our plates overflowed with a bounty of comfort eats. Most of the dishes tasted familiar to me due to the similarities in styles to Cuban food. On my plate? Delicious maduros, rice, yucca, and a combination of beans, oxtail, and sausage. An additional hearty chunk of oxtail also topped my plate and was the best of everything I tried. Given the time constraints, diners have no choice but to fill their plates to allow other groups to make the line and serve themselves. Thankfully, Regina's Farm provides enough food for all, ensuring everyone is well-catered for. 7:45 p.m. We sat and waited almost an hour after our main course for the desserts and coffee to be offered, but we were told it wouldn't be anytime soon. By this time, the lines still lingered, with another two groups awaiting their turn for the main dinner buffet. I suppose that's a downside of being the first group to dine. 8:00 p.m. Disappointed, we decided to leave and skip the last part. I'd looked forward to trying the much-talked-about desserts and sleeve-poured coffee. For our family, however, three hours with the potential of at least another hour left was a no-go. Since our arrival, our son had also eyed a small kiddie train. I inquired about that as well but was told that, for safety, rides are only offered once the dinner lines subside. Dont understand the hype on this place or the good reviews. Maybe people are being nice because its a charity thing for the church. Waited around a year i think for the reservation. Got a text 2 days prior that theres availibity. They say to show up between 5:30-6:30. Got there at 6, parking was tough. Probably at least 150 people there. Paid $75/pp and drinks arent included. You get a colored wristband, which separates the groups for when you get in line for the main course. You sit on picnic tables outside. Soups and dessert you can go whenever its served. The soup line was very long, waited over 20 min. Probably offered 6 soups and they were nothing special, and the cheesebread didnt seem fresh. They ran out of cornbread, only made like 2 trays. After we ate our soup, we probably waited an hour for them to call our color group for the main course. I suggest getting there at 5:30 so you can get the color that goes at the top of the line, so you dont have to worry about them running out of food. They ran out of the weird looking pizza they had at the main course, not sure if i would of eaten it anyway. While waiting for our color, it started to drizzle, luckily it didnt get any worse cause they tell you beforehand, no refunds if it rains. Finally get to the main course, im kind of frustrated at this point cause we have been waiting so long. They tell you its up to a 4 hr experience, didnt realize its not by choice. We were the last group to go and there was a long line for that. The food was not good. Honestly, cafeteria food is better than this. This is a home cooked meal thats very mediocre. Waited in that line for 20 min probably. The people we were sitting next to agreed the food was mehh. Then we get to the desserts. Had to wait in a long line again. They had a few cakes and fruit and none of it was good. The coffee wasnt bad. At least the weather cooled off, i cant imagine coming here in the summer. I guess people come for the experience, but ours wasnt good. I guarantee for everyone there, its a one and done. But if u insist on still going, get there early. As difficult as it is to get into this place it was well worth it. Don't come expecting anything fancy, but do expect amazing home made, from scratch , whole hearted meals. We started with soups... oh the soups!!! All of the many soups were incredible. If you see the sweet peanut soup try it. It's very different but delicious. When it's time for the actual meal make sure you are starving because there are so many amazing choices. I'm not sure how often the menu changes so I'll just let you use your imagination on this one. Im aware that the wait time to get a reservation is very long but I was lucky enough to be invited by a friend I met through Yelp who just so happened to have a reservation. And oh my, what an experience. I felt so comfortable and the food was so unique. The music was cool and the staff was incredible. As soon as I got in, I was amazed at how beautiful and how homey everything was. Seeing the kids play with the rabbits and swing on the swings. It was beautiful to see. The experience: It opens only on Saturdays and it is very hard to get a reservation. May take years. You wait in line and the sooner you get there the better because you're given a colored bracelet when you pay that determines the order in which you'll get your food. You bring your own wine/prosecco/champagne. No other liquors allowed. They do sell beer and water there. A while after everyone is seated and everyone has gotten comfortable, the food is served. They call out the bracelet colors and you stand in line to grab a plate and utensils and fill your plate up with food. There is so much variety and everything is absolutely delicious. You start with soup and then you get the main course and end the night with the best dessert. And don't worry, if you want to go for seconds or even thirds, you can. You just have to wait for all the bracelet colors to be called first to make sure everyone gets a chance. But there are always leftovers because they make so much food and they are very generous. So I made my reservation 2yrs ago and it was finally my turn to go. It's definitely an experience how Regina puts love into this whole night. I believe they are booking out 4yrs now. They are only open on Saturdays. So it books up. They can only serve so many people. This takes place in a backyard. Nothing fancy. Plenty of kids running around. Stuff for the kids to do. The oxtail soup was amazing. The fish soup was great too. Oh and the cheese bread, sooo good. Tried not to be to full with soup and bread before dinner. Dinner consisted of oxtail, pot roast I think, grouper, multiple sides, salads, fried eggs, Farina, corn on the cob, rice, veggies, sausages, and plenty more. Many types of desserts. Some good some not so good. But most people go for the soup and cheese breads from what I've read. The coffee served with dessert was soooo good. It's BYOB or wine or any drink. They do sell water and soda. I was able to take home a couple containers of soup. Whatever is left over you are allowed to take. There's plenty of free parking for this event. Service is super friendly, with the famed Regina proudly making her rounds throughout the night. The food was a treat! The food is always good...the atmosphere is exactly what is advertised... family style and homey. The prices have gone up but that's expected as everything is expensive the last few years. My kids love it and always look forward to the experience. Regina is great and her husband's sugar cane drink is a must for me. All you can eat and the offerings are always different and worth the wait. If you're in for snobby waiting lists and telling people how you "got in" you have totally missed the point of the experience. It is a one of kind experience in broward and I wouldn't trade it for any other reservation in town. It's a local gem that I hope stays around for a long time to come. After making a reservation in May 2019 we were finally able to enjoy dinner at Regina's in October 2022. Soup, dinner and dessert is served in Regina's backyard in Fort Lauderdale. Proceeds go to her church across the street. We arrived at 5:30 PM and parked across the street in the church lot. There was a line to get in. Once you are checked in you receive a yarn bracelet, the color identifies what group you are in when they call you up for dinner. We brought bottled water you can also bring wine and champagne. You can also purchase water and soda. The soup comes out first. There were six varieties the night we went ranging from vegan squash to oxtail. I'm not big on soups, but I tried them all and liked them all. The cheese bread was a real hit as well. After everyone gets their soup, Regina's husband shares a prayer and then groups are called up by colored bracelet. We were in the second group everything flowed smoothly, and there was plenty of food. Dinner included rice, beans, plantains, chicken, wings, sausage, flatbread, and so much more. The desserts along with coffee were served after dinner. All the desserts were very sweet. There was also a huge bowl of fruit salad. When we were there, there were couples, families, and groups of friends, everyone was enjoying themselves. Kids can play on a swing and enjoy a ride in a tractor train driven by Regina's husband. Reservations can take a while to get as dinner is only served on some Saturday evenings, although we went on a Sunday, which was a make up night due to previous cancellations. String lights, a bonfire, and plenty of country decor makes this a quaint, fun time downtown Ft Lauderdale. You can see live chickens, and rabbits on site ... there are also swings .. which might make this a fun outing for kids as well. I don't want to bash a couple trying to do something unique and special but I'm just not sure this place was worth the 3 year waitlist. Atmosphere was cute and different but buggy! Termites were flying everywhere and landing in our food. Gross. Made for a very uncomfortable experience. Maybe add fans or get some bug zappers? Food was oily and fatty and all the side dishes were cold. Cold potato's, cold French fries, cold veggies. The oxtail soup, I'm not sure that was even oxtail, I think it was just beef. There's plenty of food and lots of options. Nothing was gross or inedible, except the cold food wasn't enjoyable to eat. There's chickens and bunnies you can visit in cages but sadly the bunnies are not kept well. Very disappointing. Bunnies don't like living alone, they like to cuddle together and yet the were all in separate cages made of wire. Wire not made for sensitive bunny paws. The experience here is one of a kind. Imagine being invited into someone's family dinner in their own backyard. To be treated like family from the moment, they welcome you. The experience starts with a variety of wonderful homemade soups, with a delicious homemade cheese filled biscuit . Then moves onto entrées too numerous to name. All home cooked, all delicious. And finally more desserts than I care to imagine. There's games for the kids and fellowship for the adults. This is a first class operation and a blessing to be invited to participate. Unique experience in Miami. Brings the farm food memories in Brazil. This is how it works: Text them to get s reservation. Be aware that reservations might even be for a year from now. Make sure you bring cash, they are cash online and you can park at the church right in front. It is buffet style, you go up when they call your color Ribbon. Is separated in three courses: Soup-- which they are to die for. Make sure to get all the condiments and of course, pao de queijo. Second, for the mains, it can get quite overwhelming. The flavor of the dishes were ok. Third, desserts which are good-- but make sure you save some room for that. Make sure you wear casual clothes and nice and comfortable shoes. read more

The food was low in sodium, but loaded with flavors. Love that approach to food. Didn't care much for the pork ribs but the ox tail, beef and veggies were very good. They seem to be low on staff. The few that were there are very nice and accommodating. Regina is like a character out of a movie. It's an outdoor place with very little shelter for rain. We were lucky it didn't rain, but others may not be so lucky. There were many children as there are several activities for them. Table seating is family style, with people from different parties being assigned to one table if you are not a large group. Wonderful opportunity to meet nice people from different walks of life. I really tried to give Regina's farm a fair chance. I love the concept and Regina is an experience in herself. However, the whole experience became uncomfortable when termites started swarming. TIPS: Bring to-go containers as you are able to take home the leftover food. Bring a cooler with your drinks. They have insect repellant, but you may want to bring your own. They open at 6:00pm, but arrive by at least 5:30 PM if you don't want to be the last group to be called to the buffet table. read more

Very cool experience. Reservations notoriously difficult to get, our party of 7 got extremely lucky with a last minute cancellation. A full breakdown of the experience: - cash only. - seating only through reservation, serving only on Saturday's. One seating at 6pm. - getting in this place was a production; long line with a wristband system to designate when each group would go up for food. - picnic "community style" seating; byob (including water--available for purchase only). - soup & salad course was a first come first serve when it was ready; 6 soups to choose from, including a vegan option; you could get as much as you'd like. - when dinner was served, you were called up to the line based on your wristband color. - food was good, authentic, and fresh. - dessert was also a first come first serve -- dessert coffee was absolutely delicious! - I did meet Regina who was lovely and it is clear that this is an operation ran with love & respect for food. My main takeaway is that this an experience more than a meal. They are supposedly booked through 2029 on their reservations. It was a very long process and while I was glad to go and enjoyed my time, I probably won't be returning. Cool to go to--interesting. read more

We came here last minute and by luck!! We have and still have reservations for June 2024 but received a text asking if we could make it in tonight because they had an opening. We gladly accepted and were still able to keep our June reservations for 4. Christmas came early . We were told to arrive at 6 or before so we did not miss out on the soups. We arrived and waited in a small que while awaiting to pay and receive our color coordinated wrist bands. Each color signifies when you will be called up for the main course. We were sat down by the hostess and a large community table . We settled right in and got in the line for the soups. No colors needed for soup or dessert, it's first come first serve. Come to find out at the end of the soup service there was left overs (plenty) and they give you take home containers. As you await your color to be called you can enjoy a beverage that you are allowed to bring in . (Wine or champagne only) water and some sodas are sold on site but no alcohol is sold. BYOB . As we await or color we enjoyed the sites and sounds . They have a small tractor AKA lawnmower that has a small carriage that pulls kids around . Regina is super busy but she seems to always have time to discuss meals and her mission. A small prayer is said and a triangle is rang and dinner service has begun. You grab a plate and make your selection on whatever you desire. Each dish is labeled and there is also a staff member there who will assist you with questions or concerns. There are no doggie bags so don't let your eyes order for your stomach !! On completion of dinner desert is served with a variety of Spanish and Brazilian offerings. Each were good some better than others. This is my opinion but I am a simple man who loves key lime pie and could be fine with nothing else. All in all what a fabulous night and experience. I look forward to my next visit . And a special note to Regina ..... I duplicated the recipe you gave me for the guys at the fire station and it was a huge success I will try to attach that picture here as well . We waited 2 years for our reservation and we had a great evening. I wish they were able to accommodate more guests / walk ins so this won't be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Food was good, nothing extraordinary. Desserts on the other hand, were remarkable. I was hoping to get more Brazilian dishes but other than pao de queijo I didn't recognize anything else. 2 ways to look at this - this particular place is full until 2029 so they will put you on a wait list and communicate in case something comes up earlier - my party was lucky and was able to secure a much earlier reservation If you are going expecting a high end restaurant experience you will not get it what you will get is a very special experience beautifully put together and excellent authentic food - you just need to be prepared for the casual nature of it There were 6 of us ( all adults - I didn't bring my kids because I wasn't sure if it was suitable ( it is ) Food was great -everything at you own pace but not rushed certainly the best soup I've had In general excellent all round - now would I wait 5 years ( not sure ) but I waited a month or so and it was perfect - look forward to my next visit!! read more

This place is amazing for me as the first I have been there. Ambient is nice and when you have a birthday to pound the table. Every time when I be there, Dungeness garlic crab is my target. So good, yummy and awesome! The price is kept going up. I'm a bit disappointed. And the service was average. Calm shower soup is the best in here. Highly recommend! There are indoor and outdoor seats. The outdoor deck on the canal, water view. The atmosphere is good. read more
