They overbid the entire project in the tens of thousands and refused to abide by their contract. As an example, they held my contents hostage in their warehouse while I was waiting for a full and complete inventory as per our contract. Apparently not providing the inventory worked well for them while they billed $3100 per month in storage fees for ~ 3 years. When released, the same contents were moved to a very nice, clean, temperature controlled, indoor, storage facility with 24 hour security which charges ~ $300 per month. My advice, stay far, far away from ServPro. Whatever disaster they are called upon to fix will be stressful enough, but the stress they will add to the problem is immeasurable. Eric and Gideon returned a couple days later and got to work, Eric did all the under house work which is really difficult under ideal conditions, my crawl space is very tight so less than ideal, but Eric managed his way through it all and got the job done and did it all with a smile. I hired RESCO to assist with restoration for soot and odor damage following a backyard fire…read more Initially I was pleased with their quick response. Ryan was very helpful through the process (literally the only positive). However, my floor is now damaged because of how they performed the job. After completing the cleaning process, they had fans running for 3.5 days. After inspecting my house, there was standing water/puddles of what can only be described as slime throughout my flooring. My floor is laminate, which means not only are you not supposed to mop it, you certainly should never have standing water on it. The water and slime were still there after the 3.5 days of fans/HEPA filters running. When RESCO arrived to complete a walk through, they also seemed surprised to see the standing water. They reported, "We didn't have a bucket to ring the mop out" the day they completed cleaning and "[they] thought the fans would dry it out" and that is why they left the water/slime on the floor. They also stated, "We don't know what all the slime is." They could not even complete the walk through because they, again, did not have a mop and bucket. They had to return later that day to mop it up. Of note, after they "mopped" it, the slime-like residue remained, which is extremely slippery. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and almost fell walking on it. After raising concerns regarding the damaged flooring, they did not care. Luke, the owner himself, said he would not do anything, despite his workers clearly messing up and inappropriately "cleaning" my floor and leaving water on it. This was a known problem even the workers acknowledged. They wouldn't even clean the slippery, slime-like residue from the floor. I cannot believe how incredibly unprofessional Luke was, not to mention the worst customer service I have experienced. He simply said, "Take me to court." Not only is my floor damaged throughout the house, I now have to pay someone to actually clean the floors and the slippery slime off the floor. Please save your money, including the money you will need to replace damaged flooring, and do not hire RESCO for your restoration needs.

We had a house fire in June of 2025. Losing our home, belongings, and the process of navigating all…read morethe things we had no idea about (contents, construction, housing, insurance) was a nightmare. The vultures arrived within hours and it was almost impossible to know who to trust. Add to that, everything I heard about contents companies was terrible. Horror story after horror story. Items lost, broken, stolen, overcharging, recovery items still smelling like smoke, you name it. Then we met Ray Ranciato from American Fire Recovery (AFR). He had a kind and caring approach but we still didn't know if we could trust him. We had no pressure from Ray. He met with us several times over the course of a couple of weeks, explained the process thoroughly, and gave us references to check. Every single reference we called had fantastic things to say about Ray and his team. One thing about Ray - he will not leave you hanging. If he doesn't immediately answer your call, he will immediately call you back. The only time he has not answered us has been when he was with another client. We have tons of respect for Ray. This is such a great team of people and we received the best care we could hope for during a very stressful event. Dave did a complete inventory of all our belongings, complete with serial numbers and measurements. This made it so much easier to report unsalvageable items to our insurance company. He took pictures of all of our things, including spreading out the wrecked items and photographing them so we could try to recognize our destroyed belongings. And then there's Lawrence - well, what can we say about Lawrence. He's one of the kindest people I've known. He handled our items with so much respect and care. When he returned boxes of our contents back to us, they were packaged professionally. Every box was put in the room it belonged in (the boxes were labeled by room/contents) with the top split open for us so we could dive in and unpack. Items that were less priority were loaded into our garage, in groups of what room they belonged in. Lawrence would regularly return to remove empty boxes and packing. He took the items we no longer wanted and donated them for us. He even removed our "garbage" items - things that were not donatable. He even offered to hang our pictures throughout the house! We are so grateful for his care and kindness. He and Small Fry (his cute little dog and company mascot) are welcome to our house any time! A fire is a horrific experience. AFR eased the pain for us. I get nothing in return by recommending them. I know how awful a fire is and want other people to have the same great experience my husband and I had.
