Water damage to floor due to plumbing. They showed up quickly. But, required me to pay the "estimate" immediately. It was &12,998. I paid on credit card so the work could begin immediately. The 1100 sq ft unit was completely wet under synthetic laminate flooring and flooring material had to be removed. The cost, after the work was over $7/sq ft to remove. It took less than e hours. The cost to replace flooring, including labor was $2,500. My insurance co covered only $4/ sq ft to remove flooring which was more than normal. They told me this company was a rip off and took advantage of the situation. In conclusion I had to pay almost $6,000 additional to ESR because they refused to adjust the unreasonable fee. I was forced to pay the full $13,000 under duress because of the urgency---they processed my card for the full amount. I would NOT recommend doing business with them. Back in April of this year we had esr come and find our leaks. The found the first but couldn't find the second. Fast forward a few weeks and we found our second leak coming from the shower we asked for it to be demolished to see the damage the water had caused under the shower pan. The retaining wall was exposed and found the leak going through the wall. Instead they just left as is and tried to dry as is with the blower not do anything but running up the cost. I was told that we were not going to be charged for the whole shower removal as the didn't remove all of it just to pieces. So a week later still high moisture reading. I suggested funneling the air in there seeing they couldn't figure it themselves. After all done they are still charging us for a full shower removal of over 1500 and an extra 200 for a shower pan that was never removed as well as dumping fees. These guys were great at first but I have a few problems. 1, they refer you to a pack out company that has Predatory Business Practices (NorCal Home Designs). Do not be fooled by a company like this unless you have EXTENSIVE damage and the services are worth it. 500 bucks for bubble wrap that was never even used! Anyways, Luke was great and came and cleaned up and was super helpful. He also referred me to a company to do the demo work who was also great (A1 Construction) but then when it came to repairing....nothing. Tenant died mid December 2019 in a unit in Auburn, CA and wasn't discovered for 3 weeks. Body was found next to refrigerator and water heater. I requested a through cleaning from floor to ceiling in mid February 2020. Floor was vinyl tile and technicians used a injection rug shampooer on it. It appeared that they didn't clean the bedroom floor as debris was still there after they left. Counter tops in kitchen were still dirty. Dead blow flies were on window sill, maggots and blow flies were found under refrigerator and water heater as well as dried up body fluids. Human tissue was found on door frame and water heater, next to where the body was found. The walls and ceiling as well as cabinets were not touched. I had to hire other people to do the work that Emergency Services was suppose to do and they were able to clean the unit with normal cleaner and elbow grease. I refused to pay them for the extremely poor job and they threatened to refer my account to collections. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS, THEY ARE A RIP OFF. read more
