It is a new coffee shop in FIDI that opened 5 weeks. It has some of the best coffee in New York and the food is great. I had a latte, which was silky smooth and beautiful latte art. I also ate a Rueben. The meat was tender and juicy. The egg was cooked perfectly. All the flavors mixed together great and complemented each other. I was pleasantly surprised to see this coffee shop is run by Alex and Sam, who were previously at InCommon (which is my go to coffee shop by my office in Hudson Yards). Alex and his brother did a great job starting InCommon 3 years ago, which his brother still runs. Sam is one of the best baristas in New York. Her drinks and latte art are top notch. Highly recommend. I am a loyal customer at InCommon and will need to make more weekend runs to Regular NYC. read more

Regular NYC may be my new "regular" spot! (No pun intended ) This small and quaint coffee shop in the financial district has everything from amazing coffee and teas to sit-down dining. I ordered an Americano and the avocado toast. Both were fantastic and generous portions. The Americano was so good, I didn't need milk or sugar! One note - this place does NOT have WiFi to work! The team encourages a coffee shop culture where visitors come in and interact with each other. In other words, this is a great place to meet with a friend for coffee, but maybe not a workspace. Overall, I love this place! I have a feeling I will be back here often. read more

I had a _fine_, but not particularly noteworthy bowl of rice, avocado, egg, and kimchi, among other things. Aside from the rice being a little tough there was nothing wrong with it, but I can't see myself going that far (and paying that much) to come back. read more

An adorable breakfast/lunch spot near the World Trade Center. The staff are super friendly even when busy with customers. We went on a Saturday mid day and had about a 15-20 minute wait for a table for 2. The place is small but enough space between tables. Everything we ordered was delicious and everything we saw everyone else ordered looked yummy. Decent size portions that left us satisfied. I can't wait to return and try other items from the menu. They are vegan friendly too! I would note the coffee is more American bitter style than usual Aussie smooth. read more

Soo thankful to find this hidden gem in a city with endless options! We noticed the door was cracked open as we walked by and peeked in. The owner welcomed us right in, even though they were not opened yet. Before sitting us down he warned us that the air conditioning was not working. This was not surprising as most of the ac systems were not working due to the current record setting heat wave. The difference was that he was working tirelessly to get somebody out there to get it fixed and even installed a portable unit to help keep it manageable. Sorry to go off on something besides food but seeing his effort in making sure we were comfortable was honorable. Most other places shrugged their shoulders and couldn't care less. Okay back to the food. Our lattes were wonderful. Strong rich flavor with just the right amount of cream to tame the espresso. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! So much flavor and just the right amount of spice on The Ranchero. Fresh avocado, crispy brisket, creamy cotija cheese. We're southwestern and this made us feel right at home! In a city lost in a sea of mediocre food, this place could teach classes! I hardly do reviews because I feel they can be misleading or bias but I knew I had to do a review about Regular. My only disagreement was the name, because there is nothing regular about this place! Everything is above and beyond! I'm being facetious here of course, as I'm sure the name is towards the locals being regulars, and is very fitting because we felt right at home the second we peeked into that door. So to the Aussie who saw us peek and welcomed us in before even opening, we thank you for treating us like family and honestly saving our morale of the trip. The constant pushing, shoving, honking, screaming had us feeling like we were always in the way and couldn't find a place to relax. We were ready to call it an early trip, but you welcomed us with open arms and let us stop the chaos of the city for a meal we will never forget! Our waitress was very sweet and made sure our cold water never dwindled even with the heat and the place starting to fill up. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, this will be our first stop! I wish we had found it sooner, as we would have went multiple times!
