My first experience with this dealership was with my mom who's in her 60's. She was pre approved through her bank for financing and we knew the monthly payment and percentage rate etc. They talked her into letting them run her credit (which is excellent) to get her a lower interest rate but their monthly payments were higher which they got lower by making it a 6 year loan instead of a 5 year loan. They were surprised I had a loan calculator (smart phones are awesome) and was able to call them on this. There was far too much waiting (hours). I am convinced they do this on purpose to wear you down so you will just sign anything without reading it in order to get the heck out of there. When we sat in the room with the guy that tries to tell you about their extended warranties and other services, my mom kept saying "no, I don't need that paint protection treatment for $600" and the man would say "Oh this is all included in with the car." That was a lie. When I looked over the numbers on their printout before my mom signed it, I noticed several "errors". Instead of dropping $900 off the MSRP as they had said they were doing, they left that $900 on there and actually ADDED another $500 to the sticker price with no explanation. They fixed their "mistake" and printed out another set of papers to sign. In addition, all the "included" stuff, was included in the monthly payment they showed her only because they added the cost of all those things ($5,000 worth) to the MSRP. They were trying to sell her those things without her knowledge!!! Unfortunately, my mother who was at the end of her endurance went ahead and signed the papers against my advice so she could just get out of there. We had been there over 5 hours. A second experience I had with this dealership was attempting to buy a pre owned car. I had all my "homework" information in a note book and the salesman was really surprised that I had the online advertised price for the car written down. I was pre approved for financing but they insisted they could get me a better rate, which they couldn't and when I didn't jump on their offer, the salesman queried "Do you KNOW what your credit score is?!". Of course I did, it wasn't as good as my mom's but I did already have financing approved. His attempt to insult or intimidate me did not help him sell me the car or their financing. I didn't buy that car. A couple of years later my daughter and son-in-law visited this dealership (3rd experience) where they caught the salesman in a lie and walked out. Reliable never sent me the title and when I called to ask about it, they told me they did send it, they weren't responsible for the mail and it was going to cost $75 to get a duplicate. This gives me 4 years experience with the dealership being consistently dishonest and tricky. read more

I still have a hard time wrapping my head around and honestly I'm still in shock. It was the worst experience i've ever had. I was there on June 24, 2017 and the salesman at 8:30am came out on the lot to visit with me. He did notice I had a pad of paper and pencil writing some things down from vehicles. With anybody buying a vehicle they need to be educated of course. We took a test drive he drove 2018 CHR. I had in mind of definitely purchasing a vehicle that Saturday or the following Monday depending on how everything went of course. Went to my bank and did some business and returned. Waited in the lobby for him & sat down to started going over questions that I had & right off the bat he got very combative and turned into a very aggressive And arrogant, I was taken by this because he was not like that when we test drove the vehicle. I'm not sure if he didn't like the questions I was asking that seem to be the start of it . It seem like he was getting angry and more angry. He asked me several questions about my car which I tried to answer as adequately as I could. I felt like his intentions was to make me feel as dumb as possible. I'm not sure if that was necessary. But he just continued to belittle and to degrade me and my decisions on my car. I told him yes I had had it repaired at a body shop I wasn't sure of the name of it. So he just got really cocky and said so you just took it to this hole in the wall place and they fixed it. Turns out they're not a hole in the wall they been there for years and do a lot of businesses for car dealerships. When he had the car appraised he just kept on telling me how my jeep Cherokee 2015 was the most undesirable and one of the lowest rated vehicles that they make that they're not worth anything and on and on.. he did this three or four times. We walked out to the car to show him the dent that I had in the back. And once again he started smarting off I couldn't even believe I stayed to this point. At that point I told him it's not necessary to do this and if you're going to continue to do this I'm going to leave. I did tell him I would be putting money down and possible I would be going through my bank for financing. Once again the attitude returned. Oh your bank is raping you he says! I'm just thinking this couldn't get any more unprofessional. He bings back the appraisal. Went over it, of course & I had more questions. Than before. I want to understand & be informed on the information before I just say yes. We still need to work on numbers just a bit they were off. He aggressively start pointing to his screen telling me this is where we get our numbers and this is the only numbers that matter and pointed to my jeep in the parking lot raised his voice to the point where he was almost yelling. I couldn't believe he was making such a scene. Yes he's pointing to my vehicle out in the parking lot he's telling me that's it's the number one worst rated vehicles. My goodness by this point I'm very aware he's already told me for five times. I did say OK I understand you don't have to buy my vehicle! I simply said well I guess we have nothing to discuss then and closed my folder. At this point I am so nervous and I'm shaking from him yelling and his body language. His Face and neck was so red from getting so upset that I couldn't get out soon enough. I felt like I was sitting across the desk from a ticking time bomb. I have never experienced the unprofessionalism that I seen that day. And it's hard for me to believe that you guys condone or conduct Business in this fashion. When I was walking to the door everybody in that building was looking at us. He had made such a spectacle it was so embarrassing. He had no etiquettes whatsoever. I'm telling you this so that maybe you can stop him from doing this to somebody else.. I could care less if he worked there one month or 10 years this was completely uncalled for. Reliable is Awesome. I was insulted by another dealership in Springfield on the trade in value of my great car and just the manner that they dealt with me. I went to Reliable really shell shocked by the manner that I was dealt with. I was met by a young man, Mr. O'Connor, who showed me the inventory, took me for a spin. I told them what I wanted and they made me a sweetheart of a deal on my trade in $6000~thank you Mr. Robeson, (much different than the $750. I was offered elsewhere) The only thing I didn't care for, but the person who did it was really nice, all the warranty offers you have to sit through. I hate those every time, but there is no way around them, I guess. I drove my new car home that day, synced with my phone, and it was awesome. The next day I changed my mind on those warranty things, I went back, we Mr. Stubblefield renegotiated with me, and today I am a very happy camper with my new Toyota. They have called and checked on me periodically and have answered my questions promptly. I would recommend these folks in a NY minute as a place to buy a new vehicle. read more

I waited approximately 4 hours to order a rim for my Prius. I had to argue that I did not want the rim repaired but wanted a new one. My rim was damaged and no one could tell me how it could of happened. The tire was not damaged and the car dId not vibrate. I agreed to pay for the rim if Toyota would not. This was not my dealership. I was on vacation in Branson and after talking to Toyota customer service I can not say much for their total care program. Over all a bad experience with this dealer. I am still waiting for a call from a service manager to explain problems. read more

I hate being lied to. Took my Scion yesterday in to Reliable service department for a factory notice of "Warranty Enhancement", which is auto-speak for recall. Service advisor called me later to confirm they had done the inspection warranted and wanted me to know about other maintenance needed. "Your spark plugs appeared never to have been changed," and for just $160 they would take care it. That sounded funny so I found my receipt for plugs installed just 8 months ago. When I showed the receipt to service advisor Josh, he assured me he was just sharing what the mechanic told him. So who lied? Are they earning spiffs on unnecessary maintenance sales? Be warned, Reliable service department is on the make. read more

On 9/23/16, I had my 40,000 mi service done for my Corolla. I live about an hour away. All seemed well until I got home. The next day in my garage, my front right tire was flat. I called my friend to help me change my tire. My friend found there was a nail lodged in my tire. There was also a marker to show there was a problem. No one advised me and I was charged for rotating my tire as well. It was on a Saturday morning. I contacted the Service Dept. and spoke with a female rep. She insured me that she would let her manager know. I never got a phone call or any contact whatsoever. I take it that they do not care. Also, the name of the business being Reliable Toyota, it didn't live up to it's name. read more

This dealership is under poor management. We just bought a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee from them, and the experience is the worst I have ever had. After completing the purchase and them mailing us the title, they came back and said the bank denied the loan. Said we needed to sign a new deal that wasn't the same as the original. Then when we said no, they Matt threatened us! Saying that we committed fraud and they were going to report the Jeep stolen. Telling us we could go to jail. Spoke with an attorney and none of that was true. They were trying to bully us into another deal to cover their ass! We stuck to our guns and they did come through with the same exact original deal. The finance manager was good to work with, but the GM Matt is terrible. The other issue I have with them is they claim to be a "Full Disclosure" dealership, but they sold us a Jeep with an open recall for the alternator. Needless to say the Jeep broke down because this recall was not addressed and left us stranded for 3 hours waiting on a tow truck. This was just 2 days after signing the 2nd deal with the dealership. We towed it back to them and then they won't fix it because it is a recall issue. I understand that, but they won't even try to make it right and have the vehicle towed over to the Jeep dealership. We now have to have it towed again all because of their lack of customer service. This is the kind of shady things you would expect from a small dealership, not from a big dealership claiming to be a "Full Disclosure" dealership. read more

Terrible place to try and buy a vehicle. I was kept waiting for 3 hours, then was offered a ridiculously low amount for my trade in and a ridiculously high interest rate. When I said that was too low for my trade in I was basically told "we're not going to deal with you on this. When I tried to discuss it "Josh" just raised his voice and talked over me. I finally said that I was going to get financing from my credit union because they were offering a much lower rate. Josh said that he would try & get me the same rate. Came back 10-15 min. later with the same rate as before. When I said I was leaving because they had wasted enough of my time, Josh told me that I would have to sign the paper. I asked why I needed to sign the paper and he said it was an obligation to buy. Whe I refused he changed his story to I needed to sign so they would hold the car for me. I told him I didn't care if they held the car or not, that was a chance that I was willing to take. He then told me that I couldn't leave without talking to the finance department. I told him that I didn't have to do anything and I was leaving because he had wasted enough of my time. While I was putting on my jacket Josh ran off to get back-up, who stopped me at the door. I once again stated that I was leaving because I had wasted enough time there. Bottom line...don't waste your time at Reliable Toyota unless you like sitting around for half a day and letting some jerk talk to you like you're an idiot. read more

We just bought out new Camry last night. Salesman were great. I test drove the car one day. Went to 6 other lots and drive at least 8 more cars. None were as nice and helpful as these. We joked around and ended up staying 2 hrs overtime. Can't tell u how much I liked this dealership. I hate shopping for cars and getting service on cars. As I left last night, we were laughing and having a good time. Just hope if we have to go to the shop, I will feel the same way. If u think u had a bad time here, go to Hyundai or Youngblood. Youngblood will try to get u to change all fluids in your car at 30,000 miles. Cost $900. U will find out if u check your owners manual. They are a rip off!!!!! read more

HOLD ON TO YOUR KEYS.. THEY TOOK MY KEYS AND IT WAS an act of God to get them back.... I don't plan to ever experience reliable Toyota again. i will drive out of state to get a Toyota. They held on to my keys (trade) and kept saying, I will got them, I will got them and always coming back without them. If you must go there, give them 10 minutes to have your keys BACK IN YOUR hand or call for help. In December 2011, my husband and I purchased another new 2012 Toyota Sienna. This is my 5th new Toyota and I have always loved your products. Every Toyota that I have owned has been well worth the cost, retained their resale value and very dependable. I have convinced many family members and friends to purchase Toyotas. Previously (3 times), I had taken the vehicle to your dealership in Fayetteville, AR (which is where we purchased the vehicle and I highly recommend) and have been complaining about the headlights not projecting far enough and there is a complete black out/tunnel effect at the top and very hard to spot Deer or any road obstruction in the distance when it is dark. We live in a rural area and the lights make it very difficult to see animals in the distance. With that said... I am writing this letter regarding my recent experience at one of your dealerships, Reliable Toyota located in Springfield, Mo. In January of this year my husband hit a deer with our like new Sienna, which we took into Reliable Toyota for repair, as it is the nearest dealership. They replaced the front bumper and grill and numerous other items and the vehicle looked brand new again, as far as we could tell. Not long after, we noticed a rattle in the front end. Before we were able to have it checked, I ran over a small Raccoon one night and the entire underside plastic piece came loose and was dragging under the van. I was able to pull the piece from under the car but, needless to say, it was somewhat mangled. On June 18th, we took the vehicle back to Reliable Toyota and Lee Sibet drove off with it do the estimate. Upon his return with the car, he gave us the estimate and said that the bumper would need to be painted as there was also a scratch where we had hit a curb. My husband and I were perplexed as we have no curbs and had totally inspected the car before taking it in checking for any damage from the piece that had fallen off. I said I didn't want to paint the bumper because the scratch was the only damage to it and Lee said he would take care of it. I explained that I really thought the piece was loose before I ran over the Raccoon, but Lee said the pieces were made to break away upon the smallest impact and it would happen anytime we ran over or hit something. We made an appointment for the repair on June 25, 2013 with an estimate of two hours to put on the new pieces and paint the bumper. When the vehicle was ready, I asked Brian who had helped with the original "deer" repair if there was any way I could look underneath the car and see how the piece was installed so that I could understand how it came off so easily. Brian put the car (which was ready for me to take home) up on a lift to show me and, amazingly, there was no piece installed. I asked Brian, "Where's the piece that was supposed to be installed?" and he said "I have no idea". He was able to determine that the wrong piece had come in and the repairman had not informed Brian and given him the van as totally completed. Had I not requested to see the part installed, I would have left there paying for a repair and part I did not receive as well as operating my van without the proper equipment. I was told they would have the correct part the next day, however, I live over an hour and a half from the dealership and had company coming and could not come back the next day. Their solution was to remove the piece from another Sienna and installed it on my van (while I watched) which took about 10 minutes once they found the piece. The "touch-up" paint job on the bumper looks like a child had used nail polish on it. Very shabby. I was there for over 5 hours for a 15 minute job. Now, here's the problem. I have registered complaints about the problem with the lighting. My husband hits a deer, we get the car repaired and then the whole piece underneath the bumper falls off upon running over a small Raccoon. There was little to no impact felt upon hitting the Raccoon, only the sound of the plastic piece dragging under the car. All of this was explained to Lee when we took the van in for the estimate. There was no scratch on the bumper until after Lee drove it. He even said "you'll have to paint the bumper where you hit the curb". WE hit no curb! We feel he must have hit a curb and would not admit it. Also, after the van was given to the repairman, or possible when it was put on the lift, there are now small scratches on the driver's side door like where the air tool hose or someone's belt buckle rubbed on the vehicle. The scratches were not there when the vehicle was brought in for repair. Our Sienna was in like-new condition prior to the repair. We keep it garaged and take excellent care of it. We paid for the repair and should have had it returned to us with all parts installed correctly and without any new scratches. Reliable Toyota's Collision Repair is anything but Reliable! read more

I called to set appointment last Monday due to my new 2013 Camry with 2550 miles having a mechanical problem. The service department advised me to have it towed in but they could not check the problem until the following week which was 7 days before they can check the car. My new Toyota and they don't offer or provide a loaner car when you have a problem with a new car that I got from this dealership. Plus I have been waiting for 3 months since my first oil change , the service department was going to have to call Toyota Corporate to answer a question I had but they have never followed up. Another point, this was the worst deal I've had in over 50 years. This is in my opinion the worst dealership in the country. When you think Reliable Toyota, Springfield, MO don't walk run like heck to avoid dealing with this bunch. You've been warned. I needed a used vehicle due to my old Pathfinder finally quit working... searched and searched for days... Reliable Toyota had what I needed... I live in Eureka Springs Ark and work on Beaver Lake so had to have AWD/4WD .... after numerous chats with Reliable Toyota and submitting a credit App they called and told me to come pick up my new/used vehicle... not having a vehicle I had to get to Fayetteville to rent a car since no rentals in Eureka Springs... so I got to Fayetteville rented a car and drove to Springfield... all in all a 5 hour drive and the expense of a rental and extra fees to drop rental in Springfield... I arrived at 130pm on a Saturday... when I arrived the vehicle the dealer and I picked out was not going to work for me according to finance department... basically they just baited me to get me into the dealership... they tried putting me into two other vehicles both not AWD or 4WD ... One was a Camry which would barely make it up and down the gravel road to work... I was so angry that I had taken a day off from work and rented a car and drove five hours that I said yes to one of the vehicles just to get out of this Horrible Dealership... It was after 5pm and finally the manager came over and said I was approved and they were printing my paperwork to get me home .... at 6pm still no paperwork... finally they came back over asking for more proof of my income... it was Saturday and my bank back home was closed... I sat there for 5 hours and drove 5 hours plus renting a car and missing a day of pay at work .... all in all I am out around $300 by driving all the way to Springfield Mo.... I was lied to the entire time... I was shocked that they would treat a person this way and highly recommend not doing business with a company that treats Military Veterans this way ... read more

Certified-Preowned Sales: Larry & Rex Lyons, both Manager & sales person are incapable and irresponsible persons. They both are very very poor communicators & very bad in dealing with customers. They advertised a certified Toyota Highlander Hybrid Ltd on internet, when I inquired about the availability they said it is available and asked to come to take a look at it. When I asked them to hold the vehicle initially they said they need $500 deposit and when I called to give the credit card, they said they don't want it since I will be going to see the vehicle very next day. Since I was from out of state (they know this too), I had to drive for 7 hours in bad snow storm and reached their store next day. They made us wait for 1 hour and told us that, they sold the vehicle to another customer. When asked why they did not call us to see whether we started or not, they don't have a reason. They both are very big cheaters!!!! DON'T EVER BUY A VEHICLE FROM THEM. They have no respect for customers. They are NOT Reliable! Their name should be UN-Reliable Toyota. read more

My experience today at Reliable Toyota was terrible. I waited in the showroom for over an hour while they tried to appraise my trade in. Every 15 mins the sales man would come and tell me the person he was looking for was busy or missing, so it was taking a little longer. After an hour and a half of waiting I finally got an appraisal, which was $1500 lower than any of the 6 other dealerships that I had been to in town. To do the appraisal I had to hand over my keys and title. At this point they offered me a test drive. When I returned from the test drive, I asked for the return of my keys and title because I was not ready to make the deal as I was still comparing offers. They said this was not possible because all the sales reps were in a meeting so I would have to wait. After having already waited on them all afternoon I insisted that I get the keys back promptly. The manager came out of the business meeting and treated me very disrespectfully. After quite some back and forth he finally fetched my keys and title. In the mean time he accused me of stealing his car and breaking his trust, and not being a patient customer. This is the last time I will ever set foot in a "reliable" car dealership. read more

I was shopping over the phone for my parents who are retired and knew exactly what they wanted. I had received pricing out of state, and worked out an agreed upon price ($1000 higher), which took most of the day, on a vehicle I was told had been backed into by a customer in the lot and been repaired completely. My parents arrived and requested to see the repair order. It turns out the vehicle had hit a deer in transit from another dealer and had major repairs. Then the story changed to: this was another vehicle that we had priced out that just sold! The two trucks must have had the same vin # then.... right? The dealer then tried to pressure my parents into purchasing the truck regardless. If they lie about the truck initially what else are they lying about? This is not an acceptable way of doing business. I would not recommend this dealership and plan to report the event to the regional Toyota VP. Obviously CSI (Customer satisfaction) is not important. Steve Green is the sales person I dealt with and my parents worked with him and Matt Allen when they arrived. Buyer Beware! read more

I recently lost ALL respect for the Toyota/BMW/Lexus dealership in Springfield, MO! I was interested in purchasing an SUV from them and made an offer and they told me they could not take it!!! The manager told me they were at their bottom dollar as far as the SUV was concerned and I requested he call me if they decided to lower the price. A few DAYS after this conversation they posted this same SUV on craigslist, lowered the price of the vehicle, and it immediately sold! SERIOUSLY TOYOTA???? The difference between the price tag on the SUV itself on the lot and the price they lowered it down to on the craigslist ad was $2,500!!! The offer I had just made them for the SUV was just a LITTLE less than what they ended up marking the vehicle down to! The person that purchased it most likely did not even pay the asking craigslist price! The worst part is the fact that the car I currently drive and wanted to trade in is a Toyota that this same dealership previously sold me several years ago!! They were aware of this. The salesperson I had been working with CALLED ME to set up a time for me to go to the dealership for my trade in to be appraised and when I drove all the way over there they wouldn't even do it! He called me when I was almost there and told me he was busy and that he had set me up to meet with a different salesperson. The second salesperson told me he had no idea I was coming but that they were not going to appraise my car unless I was for sure going to purchase a vehicle from them!!!! Good way to keep life long customers Toyota!!! I looked at this SUV on their lot multiple times within a two week period of time and the salesperson I was working with did not show up multiple times when we were scheduled to meet to discuss the SUV. My dad has purchased multiple new Lexus's from their dealership in the past...but he was with me during one of the no shows. My dad does NOT like wasting his time because he is all business...so I wish them luck on getting him to purchase a new Lexus from them again! LOL!!! My dad said he was not waiting around on them and we left and went to a different dealership. So in the process they have now also lost respect from another individual who keeps 3 brand new vehicles at all times and upgrades every year. My dad told me today that I'm crazy if I buy from them again after what they just did to me!!! The last thing I would like to say is that if you do buy from them DON'T GET THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTY ITS A JOKE-I WASTED THOUSANDS ON IT! The seat belts in my current vehicle were stuck down in my seat which was a huge safety risk for my kids. They were going to charge me to get them out and I still had a warranty at that time!
