I booked Marks company for my Mothers 60th birthday party in Paramus, NJ. We spoke briefly a couple days before the event for coordination purposes (Mark is extremely busy as you can imagine- hard working guy). He showed up on time and well prepared the day of, his assistant Tara was early. Lovely people, friendly, sociable and very professional. Mark likes it if anyone in the crowd wants to watch him cook or asks questions! What can I say? Dinner was fabulous, beyond fabulous. We had the 6-course private dinner (steak) and Mark brought plenty of food. Mark let me make minor changes to the menu a few times (10 adults and 6 kids) and he let me know of some very neat and tasty alternatives & seasonal ingredients we could use. We loved the appetizers, salad was amazing, diver scallops were huge and plenty, he made two different specialty pastas (we all had 2nds of this, and large NY Strip steaks. Oh, and the brownie bread pudding was great. We usually finish our plates but all the early courses were so good a few half eaten (perfectly cooked for rare, medium rare and medium folks) steaks were packaged up. Keep up the great work Mark. Overall great experience working with Mark and his team! I began working with Mark and his team via email and we had a good exchange about menu options and what would reflect the experience I was aiming for. I was planning a surprise birthday party in my home in early September and wanted a mix of cocktail party options and then a full dinner. Mark and his team put together a blended menu between appetizers and his summer bbq menu. On the day of, the team was late to my house, which made things feel rushed. It worked itself out because of logistics with the birthday girl coming later. However, the team arrived about 45 minutes late and I would be mindful of that if there's a future engagement. Mark's staff was warm and very good about engaging with guests. People were interested in having conversations with the staff and the staff was good about remembering the drink orders and requests of guests. The passed appetizers were good! The meatballs were a bit more salty than I like and others felt like they were great. People really enjoyed the hummus dips, various warm and cold appetizer options, and the array of cheeses. Everyone liked the french onion crisps and Korean chicken sliders. For dinner we went buffet style. I wasn't aware that we needed certain outlets for warmers and would recommend that others interested in Remarkable Cuisine to ask about outlets in advance. I spent about 15-20 minutes looking for outlet converters as guests were arriving and ultimately we had to run a chord from one room to another because of outlet issues I didn't know to account for in advance. Dinner was really enjoyable! Salmon with shrimp and scallops, a really good macaroni and cheese, sautéed mixed vegetables divided so you didn't have to get the mix if you didn't want, bbq brisket with rolls, and a nice mixed summer-like salad with fresh fruit and a grapefruit vinaigrette. People went through the food and Mark and his staff quickly refilled, accounting for what people would want more of. Dessert was AMAZING. A peach cobbler topped with biscuits. The best tasting peach cobbler, with fresh peaches, and warm biscuits on top. I would have eaten the whole thing and thankfully there were leftovers :-) Mark and his staff cleaned up the kitchen well and constantly checked in about when each part - appetizers, dinner, dessert - would come out. Mark was flexible to accept a downpayment and remaining payment through venmo and that made things very convenient. There was plenty leftover and made for a few more meals. I would enjoy Mark and his team for another cocktail, buffet style dinner and think it would be a nice experience to do a tasting menu in a sit-down setting with close friends. read more

I hired Mark to caterer my husband's surprise 40th at a venue in Hoboken. He was so helpful in designing a menu that had to incorporate Caribbean, Cajun and work with my Wakanda theme. He was so responsive with all my questions and menu changes. He even designed speciality cocktails that went with the theme. Everyone loved the food and the service. No one ever had to look for something as his staff made sure the food kept coming. He was able to manage through the logistics with the venue as well. I was planning a surprise birthday party for my sister and was referred to Mark and his team through friends. The entire planning experience was seamless. I wasn't too sure what kind of menu I wanted to provide, so he put together a large menu of appetizers and main dishes. On the day of, we had an hour for them to get set up before my sister came back for the event. His team was extremely efficient in setting up for the event and brought all the equipment need to keep the food warm, even warming plates. They were also very nice and good at remembering what each guest was drinking and eating, especially for a party of 30+ people. I'm not going to lie; the food was the highlight of the event! They laid out a buffet style spread with a cheese board that filled our entire dining table, as well as truffle fries, various dips, and chicken Parmesan sliders. For the main courses, served similarly, we had a wide variety of choices. Mark and his team also cleaned up the kitchen after the event, which was great after a long night. What can I say---this is the best meal of the year! As the hostess at a company party held in your home you worry whether your guests will like the food. That is so not a problem when Chef Mark and Peter are in the kitchen ---our guests just cannot wait for the next food item to appear. My mom got me a week of food delivery from Mark after I had my second baby. It was great, so easy to warm up and I had a gourmet meal to eat. Even now, weeks later, when I have more time and could cook, I still order from Mark because it's so tasty and so easy. We recently hired Remarkable Cuisine to cater a party for work colleagues held at our home - and Chef Mark and his team were amazing! They were able to take care of everything - the food, the bar, even renting dishes, flatware, glasses and linens. They swooped in, set up the house with the buffet, the bar, and appetizer stations in various places to maximize flow for the party, even dressing the tables with holiday decorations I had around the house. Everyone was so friendly and great at what they do, and we knew immediately that we were in excellent and professional hands. And we were ... everything went perfectly smoothly, and my husband and I were able to enjoy the party without worrying about a thing. Plus my kitchen was cleaner after the party than before! As for the food ... it was SO GOOD. Absolutely delicious - everything was fresh, really well seasoned, and beautifully presented. We had several appetizer platters, with passed sliders, truffle mac&cheese spoons, and a tuna sushi bite. For dinner, we had the hangar steak, roasted salmon, quinoa salad, mushroom rigatoni and roasted vegetables, with butternut squash mac & cheese and grilled chicken for the kids. Absolutely every single thing was delicious. Chef Mark makes ordinary things taste extraordinary! There was plenty of food, our guests raved about the catering (I believe several business cards were sought out!) and it made for a totally stress-free evening. I felt like I was attending a party instead of hosting one ... can't ask for more than that. Next time we have a party, Remarkable Cuisine will be the first call I make. Chef Mark and his team did an outstanding job at a dinner party for 17 at our home on Saturday evening. They were professional, easygoing and very talented. The team arrived about 90 minutes beforehand with all of their equipment and supplies. The food was exceptional and folks raved about the passed appetizers, burrata and heirloom tomatoes, pasta course, steak and salmon and dessert. I worked with them to finalize the menu ahead of time. We agreed on the price point and discussed different menu options based on what menus had been offered at other events. They accommodated my desire for a plated dinner and my timing for a Saturday evening event. Our guests had a fabulous time and we feasted on the leftovers the next day. My amazing girlfriend hired Mark as a personal chef to cook dinner for us as a surprise for my birthday. Best birthday gift EVER. Mark whipped up an amazing menu, and it looked delicious just reading what was going to be made. Well, it was incredible. Four courses, and each course got better and better as the meal proceeded. Hiring a personal chef feels and sounds like something that a celebrity will talk about on a segment of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous or Mtv's Cribs. Well, we are neither rich nor famous, but rather strapped for time and hungry. After digging around the internets and eventually here on Yelp, I came across what looked to be a very promising personal chef and catering service. Contacting Mark was easy, and in fact I was talking to the man himself the same day I left my plea, er, message for a weeks worth of food for me and my husband. The food was delivered in reusable, microwaveable, refrigerator stackable, containers. These meals were from a very clear and descriptive menu that I approved. There were no real restrictions as we don't have any allergies or food issues, but I did ask that we avoid rosemary since I'm not a fan of that particular flavor profile. The trial week included simple in name but not in taste breakfast options, diverse dinners and delectable desserts. It's hard to pick a favorite meal and I'm not even going to try, because really I would eat everything we received during the trial week again and with pleasure. Portion sizes were reasonable. I wasn't hungry for more food after eating dinner but there wasn't any of it left either. Considering the quality of the food, variety of the meals, and the convenience of it all ... For a weeks worth of food for the two of us, it wasn't cost prohibitive. Honestly not stressing about what's for dinner, eating essentially home cooked meals, and not feeling like crap afterwards (like we usually do when we opt for chinese takeout or fast food burgers) makes it completely worthwhile and affordable. Needless to say the trial week was a success and we've moved toward establishing ourselves as regular clients. read more

Rather than choose from one of his pre-made menus he let me choose a few of my favorite proteins and then he built the menu around there. I reached out to Mark to inquire about his personal chef services. I needed him to prepare meals under strict dietary restrictions due to health reasons for a temporary condition. For this reason, I was expecting bland food without much flavor. I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted Mark's delicious creations! He listened to everything I told him regarding the dietary restrictions and was very creative with his meal preparation. In the surf and turf meal that was prepared by Mark, the steak was perfectly seasoned and the fish was fresh and delicious. Some of his meals were accompanied by homemade sauces that tasted wonderful. I am excited to use Mark's services for catered events in the future. He catered a private 5 course dinner in my home for 11 people. He was flexible in working with specific dietary restrictions, without compromising on taste or quality. His plating is so beautiful and creative. The table was all served at the same time and Mark came out to describe each dish at every course. I had a graduation lunch for my daughter last week. I worked with Mark's team to create a menu that would work for the diverse taste buds. He as to prepare barbecued brisket, chicken kabobs, shrimp kabobs, roasted red potatoes, 4 cheese mac and cheese and mixed field greens salad with grilled peaches black berries and goat cheese. While e came to the menu very quickly and the staff was very professional, we were extremely disappointed with the amount of food that was delivered. There was insufficient food to feed my 20 guests so much so that my husband and I did not eat, guest were modest in their portions and to avoid further embarrassment we headed to the grocery where we purchased ribs, chicken breast and Italian sausage to supplement the meal. Additionally, pricing was higher than many competitors in my area but from the review felt it would be worth it for the quality. While we did receive compliments on the food the cost was exorbitant for what we received. I frequently cook for large parties so I can't understand the lack of judgment from a professional. read more
