Wow this team was unprofessional. The one guy wouldn't stop interrogating me about my personal life instead of working. I've never had a bad experience with movers or junk haulers before, normally they have common sense and can mind their own business. It's a lot more expensive than conventional junk hauling, especially since I gave the guys a decent tip despite one being a jerk. Two stars I guess because the stuff is gone. We needed to clear out our Miami-area parents' condo after selling it. Remoov used our photos to triage furniture, decorative pieces, household goods and waste into resale, donation and recycle (not dump) categories before pick up. The team of Sydney, Danny and Gio arrived on time on our scheduled pick up day. They were polite, sympathetic and efficient, wrapping, packing and moving all our stuff into their very large truck. Sydney used a convenient app to log collected items, add new ones and delete those we had disposed of previously. We now have a portal to track the resale items for collecting our half of the sales, and a donation receipt for tax purposes. I highly recommend them for consignment pickup, estate clear out and junk removal. read more

I cannot tell you how bad of an experience I had with this service. I asked them, *repeatedly*, over and over, that I needed an estate sale - that all of my items needed to be taken away because I was leaving the country. After overcharging their initial estimate by ~double, they show up and tell me, "No, because you didn't take pictures of every item in your entire house, we're not doing the job". Later, all the logistics person could say was "REEEE YOU DIDNT TAKE ALL THE PHOTOS". They then wanted an extra 50% more to finish the job I hired them for. They ended up picking up ~3/4ths of the items. The promise of Remoov is that they'll sell your items and get your money back - I gave them 3/4ths of an *entire house full of items*, and do you know how much they sold? $0. Not a dime. Do not give these people your business. read more

We used Remoov for our move in January 2021, and while it sounded like a good idea, I cannot recommend the company based on our actual experience. They showed up with a truck that was far too small for the goods, proceeded to demolish many items inside the truck to make them fit, and while we were supposed to get receipts for donations and proceeds from sales, there were none provided. Everything was considered garbage by Remoov. Certain valuable items were placed aside by the driver due to being obviously nice items, so I'm not sure what happened to those items. Perhaps it was an employee perks program or something. I recommend checking their price quote against competing garbage hauling services. read more

I'm embarrassed to say like other reviewers I was scammed. Everything seemed so professional. They had us send a photo of the solid wood, Amish crafted, excellent condition entertainment center. It was several pieces including a beautiful center piece that I could have kept as a stand alone, but as they told us they would either sell or donate we included all of the pieces. Because we are seniors and disabled this seemed like the perfect solution as we did not want to sell it ourselves and have strangers coming to our house and it was very heavy as it was solid wood. After it was loaded and we were pressured to give a 20% TIP the driver says he's taking it to the dump. We could have had Waste Management haul it to the dump for free! When my husband tells him "no they agreed to sell or donate" the driver tells him he will need to call the office. The written response was "After reviewing your entertainment center, we regret to inform you that, given the current market interest, this particular piece hasn't performed as expected for consignment. Additionally, due to its size, donation partners cannot accept it. Consequently, we've responsibly redirected it to recycling" - WE SENT THEM A PHOTO THEY COULD HAVE TOLD US BEFORE HAND. Beware we had almost $500 flushed down the drain! read more

This outfit is a scam! I sent them several photos of items to be removed and received a reply dividing the items into "resale", "donations" and "recycle" After looking at the huge "recycle" fees, I removed the recycle items and resubmitted my request listing just "resale" items and asked for a new estimate. I received a new estimate, only this time, six of the "resale" items were now listed as "recycle" with increased "recycle fees. So, when they lose the "recycle" fees, they move the "resale" items to "recycle" to recoup the potential lost fees. Then I'm sure they resell those items they previously listed as "resale", only now due to the new "recycle" designation, they don't have to share the monies generated by the 'resale". Pretty interesting "bait and switch" operation. I would give them less than a one, if that option were available. read more

Like many reviewers here, I needed to get a parent's belongings liquidated quickly, and they lived in a senior-only apartment building where having a traditional estate sale in-home with random people traipsing through was not an option. Remoov responded quickly, and their service includes pickup (most services expect you to haul stuff to their warehouse.) While perhaps I might have been able to get more for my items from a different provider, I needed to get things done quickly unlike, say, "MakeitHomeBayArea.org" which never got back to me. And let's be honest, nobody these days has room for grandma's 6-foot sold wood dining room table or curio cabinet in their studio apartment that's 3 flights up with no elevator. read more

I used Remoov to clear out and try to sell some of the furniture items from my parents condo after they passed away. They charge a fee to pickup the items and a fee to dispose of the items they think will not sell and create a list of those items that they think will sell.. I thought more items should have been included in the latter list. They were great and timely on picking up the goods. Their selling ability is not what they are great at, at least for me. NOTHING sold! So after 90 days they donate it. If you want someone to efficiently remove stuff from your home, then use them. Don't think anything will sell. read more

I hired Remoov to take some Restoration Hardware pieces that we no longer needed when we turned an office into a playroom. The items were in new condition and I was sure that they would get at least some money through their consignment process (a $600 wood and iron table, a chaise). There was zero follow up from Remoov after they took the items, despite multiple texts from me, and I never saw a cent of the consignment money. That feels like false advertising to me. Furthermore their movers deeply gouged my wall when removing the items (we're talking about a chunk of drywall missing, not just a scuff). While they did put me in touch with a painter to get it fixed, we didn't end up fixing it because it would have been a huge pain to match the paint color and take time off work to have the painter come over, so now I get to look at a huge gouge in my wall every day. I recently enlisted Remoov's help when working on a purge of items in storage in my garage. I found the experience to be very straightforward and a huge help in my efforts. From the initial submission of descriptions and pictures of what I had for pick-up...to the response indicating which items could be sold and/or donated versus what would be recycled...to the actual onsite presence to load up my mountain of stuff into their truck. I even had to cancel my first appointment at the last minute due to SF DPW suddenly ripping up the street in front of my house that morning which made bringing a truck to my house impossible...the Remoov customer care team were extremely helpful in getting me rescheduled for a couple of days later. Good fucking luck hearing anything about what is going on with your items. They are great about charging you money to pick your stuff up and letting you know they received it, but any status updates regarding ANYTHING don't happen. My pick up was 6/3, 6/12 I get a notification that they received everything and their appraisal prices (took a little while but I understand this takes a human being)...since that date, not a single update. I login tonight and find out 3 of my items have sold...would have been nice to know. Thankfully, I didn't forget. They may be really hurting for $$$ and not notifying people of sales to delay writing those checks. No idea, but that is the only thing I can think of. Remoov is a unique service that solves three problems at once: Selling: Getting rid of items that you know are too valuable to give or throw away is tricky. Selling stuff online is a time-intensive donkey punch in which you get to haggle with trolls for peanuts. Remoov takes your good stuff and sells it on consignment (you split the proceeds with Remoov fifty fifty). Moving: Moving sucks. You pay a ton of money to haul your mostly worthless junk from one place to another. Remoov will donate or recycle your items that aren't worth selling. So say "Thank you for your service!" to your beloved old recliner and move on to the next chapter in your life. Storage: Say you are moving and you don't have room at your new spot for all of your stuff. Or you are going couch surfing, or hiking the Appalachian Trail, or whatever. Before Remoov you had to put your worthless junk into a storage locker and pay monthly rent until you... Until you what? Pay more money to move it somewhere else? Sort through it and throw the bad stuff away and sell the good stuff? No. Storage is the ultimate procrastinator's trap. You are never going to go down to your storage locker and deal with your crap. So you just pay and pay... Here is an idea; call Remoov, give them the location of your storage locker and tell your storage company you are cancelling their contract. If you have read this far you can tell I am a true believer. I had to be out of my apartment in two weeks, with eight years of stuff built up in it and no place to put it. I scheduled a haul-away of an enormous, heavy old bed frame that was constructed like a safe, so I couldn't even begin to move or disassemble with my tiny toolkit. I booked a 5-8 window and the guys showed up just about 6, after calling with an ETA (although I missed the first call). Roberto and Santiago were awesome! They were all masked up (and me too) and so professional and efficient! Made crazy quick work of the job, were super friendly and went above and beyond to be mindful of me and my little apartment. Super easy to pay with CC using an app on Roberto's phone when it was all done. Can't recommend highly enough. If I could give Remoov no stars I would... In short, their service offers to pick up your items, photograph and catalog everything, put it on a dashboard for you to review and then sell items... After having 2/3 of MY STORAGE unit (a 12x16 that took over 2.5 hours) I never heard from them again. Day after day I checked my dashboard and no items. I was not too concerned at this point because the mover, Ulysses said it could take up to two weeks to acCess everything. After multiple phone calls and emails I was contacted finally by the V.P. LUIS TWO MONTHS LATER WHO INFORMED ME THEY LOST MY POSSESSIONS! No apology, no offer of any kind of retribution. TWO EMAILS LATER AND I AM AGAIN BEING IGNORED (this took place Pre-Covid, MY pick-up was in January). I even contacted them a couple days after THE pick-up to follow up and no reply. Two more emails and no reply. Finally two months later after phone calls I received an email from the V.P. Luis that they lost MY pick-up. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR ITEMS FOR RE-SALE!!! read more

Remoov was great. I wanted to sell or donate an elliptical that I could not use any more. With Covid 19 I did not want people coming to the house to test the machine. All you do is text a photo of what you have to remove. You receive a reply in a short time with a removal estimate. They try to sell your item for you. If it does not sell you have the option to donate it or take it back. The estimate was very reasonable and I have an excellent chance to actually make money if they sell it. The pickup was fast and easy even though my item weighed over 200 pounds. Afterwards you get an email where you can create an account to track the progress of your item. This is an extremely easy service to sign up for. Adjustments to the items to be removed can effortlessly be made. On the day of service the Remoov team called to ask if the could come a little earlier than planned which was just fine with us. They came to our house fully masked and first took stock of the goods to be taken out of our house. They tagged (bar coded) the items that were earmarked for resale. Then they proceeded to take everything out of the house all the while painstakingly avoiding dinging any walls, doors or floors. What a great team: they got everything identified and finished up early. The team was extremely professional and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. My partner died last month and I am moving back to NYC. I have to clear out 25 years of a life together during the COVID epidemic. 1) If it were just for the speed of their response I'd give these guys 5 stars. I uploaded my pictures on Saturday, got a text from Alex on Sunday less than 24 hours later and, it is now Tuesday and all the stuff I wanted gone is gone. 2) On the other hand, they know nothing about furniture. Of the 10 or so items, they picked one small item (cost $500)- a night table which they called an end table- to resell, most they are going to donate and the rest recycle. Among the items they are going to donate was a Noble brand dresser I paid $2000 for and is in great condition. It is actually part of bedroom set that included the item they are planning to sell. Among the items they are going to recycle is a Karastan rug in excellent condition I also paid $2000 for. Normally I would have used Goodwill or Out of the Closet, but Goodwill isn't picking up and Out of the Closet isn't coming into apartments because of COVID. They require you to get everything out on the porch or in your lobby. I'm in my 70's and 105 pounds. Obviously that wasn't going to happen. So Remoovit was what was left. 3) The movers, Ulises, Adel and Marx? were mostly pathetic, Adel in particular. He had to be guided on how to move everything by the others. They were very careless and sloppy. I heard a racket on the stairs so I went out to look. I think they were dropping things down rather than carrying them. There were some big chunks of wood that had separated from the furniture. Marx was the only seemingly competent and reasonably careful one. They also managed to gouge and scuff the walls. 4) They wore their masks below their noses which kind of defeats the purpose. I opened the windows wide so hopefully I'll be ok. 5) Not sure what kind of outfit this company is but they didn't have their own truck, they came in a Budget truck. God only knows what kind of tax deduction form they are going to give me. I was told it would be up to me to price the items but generally when you give stuff away that is worth over $500, the charity writes you a letter for the IRS telling you the dollar amount of what you gave them. Anyway ($415 later) the stuff is all gone and at this point in my life, that is what matters most! read more

Pros - I did get a fast response from the company that much more clearly represents how they operate than what I gathered from Yelp reviews and Remoov's website. It seems to be a simplistic business model and many appear to appreciate what they offer and how they deliver. Cons - they charge the customer on both ends, without committing to a reciprocation from them. Their business model is definitely a win for Remoov, not sure if it's a win for the consumer. They charge to pick up the items and will not commit to the consumer making enough money to cover that cost on the other side once the items are sold. Personally their business model helped me make a decision to use a charity that will pick up the items for free from me and will benefit an organization whose values I support. Remoov wanted to charge me $249 to pick up 3 (high quality items) without committing to a resale amount. I can donate these same items to charity for no charge to me or have an entire truck come and clear things out for $225. I appreciate the opportunity to look into Remoov - but like they assess the donations, I've assessed their model, and it's not for me. read more

Such an amazing experience - really a relief that they got rid of all our stuff! I help run facilities for a couple of companies and was helping them downsize. We had no idea what to do with all the inventory. I called remoov, uploaded photos, they were here 3 days later with very professional guys who loaded up a truck.
