My husband and I are redoing our bedrooms to accomodate our growing children and we were stumped for a way to get some major furniture out of the house without having to call some demo guys and just trash everything. Enter Remoov! I found them on Yelp and when I called in everything fell into place. Why not get a respectful crew who cares about your things being sold?? The process was painless and very modern, we just sent pictures of our furniture to their text and it just took a day to get us a quote. On the day of the pickup there was a 4 hour window of time for the driver to come but that didn't bother me as I had lots of purging to do. Towards the end of our time frame the location of our driver was texted to us to let us know he was on his way. Cool! We had Lionel and Caesar. A funny top-notch team! They were very careful with the large 3-piece tv console/hutch that we had, and discussed with us the best and safest way to get it out of our house. They were super respectful with the tall cabinets we had to get rid of as those were in our main bedroom and they wouldn't go in until we were in or they had our permission. As they comfortably took out all our stuff we kept talking to them, the poor dears didn't even break a sweat. These guys are crazy strong and ready to rumble! I swear to God our tv hutch is all wood and very heavy but they made it look so effortless. Thank you Caesar and Lionel! You guys made our day!! read more

After an estate sale, I had a lot of stuff from my Mom's house; mostly furniture and assorted odds and ends. After taking pics of the items and sending them to Remoov, they told me the pieces they thought they could resell & the pieces they would recycle, and quoted me a price for the pickup. I deleted some items, and added others, and they were prompt to provide a revised quote. Among my 'resale' pieces were a huge dining table, with a credenza and china cabinet that did NOT separate; they were in one piece. I also had a huge electronic organ, with the foot pedals. Sil and Clint were amazing; they managed to tape up and move the credenza/china cabinet, having to do some fancy maneuvering to get it out the door. And after studying the organ, they tipped it up on its side, and voila, the pedals detached! Sil and Clint were very careful with all the pieces, loading them carefully into their truck and then securing everything with straps before they left. They were also very polite and friendly, even considering all the heavy lifting and maneuvering they had to do. If you've done all the research, and you're at a loss as to what to do with your stuff, since Salvation Army isn't picking up on the Peninsula at all right now, Remoov is the way to go. Yes, it will cost you, but since so many "donation" sites are getting increasingly picky about what they will take, Remoov is an excellent alternative. read more

Our medical practice was sold and we had to scuttle to get over 4,000 sq ft of space liquidated. I am so happy to have found Remoov! I recently found myself stuck with bedroom furniture when I made the decision to move back to my old place in San Francisco from the Peninsula. My old place is actually a life long friend's house that is completely furnished and she really wants to keep it that way. I just wanted to be back in my favorite city. Remoov made it easy for me to quickly get out of the expensive storage unit ($180/month) by picking up the furniture very quickly. Cesar and Chris carefully loaded my heavy furniture into the truck and now Remoov will sell it for me. I would give more stars if I could. After reading the Yelp reviews, I had high hopes for Remoov and they exceeded my expectations. I was in a pickle because Salvation Army didn't show up for the appointment I made 6 weeks ago. I had to get rid of several pieces of furniture before I move next week and wasn't sure what to do because some things were too large or too heavy for me to take to a donation site. Remoov went above and beyond to get me on their calendar for this week and everything went very smoothly. Their system is so organized! To start the process, I sent them photos of everything I would like picked up. They sent me an estimate and let me know what items would likely be either put up for resale, donated, or recycled. On pickup day, I got a text when the drivers were on the way and I was even able to track them. The drivers were great and super efficient. After they departed, I got an email to log into my dashboard so I could see what they picked up. I may get some money back if they sell some of my furniture, and I will be getting a receipt for the donated items. Top notch. So far, I am thrilled. We are downsizing from a 2330 square-foot SFR to an 1100 square-foot apartment. We thought about having an estate sale, even though we don't have much of an estate, but this seemed way better -- not having the general public traipsing through the house. We also liked the idea of having our items on consignment for a longer period of time instead of only available for one or two days. Tim came to evaluate our items and explained how everything would work and helped us to know what should be donated and what would work for consignment. Today was our pickup day. The truck arrived on time, actually a little early, but they called first. They took their time photographing the items for consignment, then carefully moved everything to their truck. And we had some really heavy furniture. We'll see how the sales go, but just the convenience is almost worth the fee. read more

Awesome experience. Decided to downsize.Needed to vacate our house promptly to sell it. Saved me sleepless nights about worrying how to responsibly dispose of used but good furniture and all the other items that fill up a house after 30 years ,3 dogs and 2 children who had left the nest. Didn't want an estate/moving sale and consignment stores didn't want our glass tables. We wanted to unload unwanted furniture in one move. We downsized from a large 5 bedroom ,2 car garage house to a 3 bedroom apartment so needless to say we had a truckload of items. The Remoov team were very professional. We had a glass dining table that seats 10. They disassembled the glass /brass base wrapped in bubble plastic and were very careful with delicate objects. Bekins movers dropped and broke an expensive lamp. Remoov movers did a better job than the 2 moving companies we had hired. 6 months later we moved again and they remooved a queen size wall bed unit which was not an easy task. Receiving payment for the sale of our household items and furniture was the icing on the cake. Remoov offers a wonderful service. read more

SELL YOUR STUFF ELSEWHERE 1) They had (or have) serious issues with customer correspondence. Clearly I'm one of the group that dropped stuff off (They were great at contacting people to collect their fee) then they totally disappear. Only when costumers reach out do you receive any word from them. Like others I sat for weeks wondering if I had my stuff just stolen. 2) Their pricing was completely off! They sold a very expensive item of mine for 10% of the value! If you ever receive any correspondence watch your stuff closely as they are completely off when it comes to prices. I never received any correspondence at all so my item was long gone and I lost before I ever even knew. Even while talking with them about the issue they couldn't find an item on CL in the same ballpark as low as they sold my item. So will they set a reasonable price or 10% of your value? Who knows, but you get to pay the fee no matter what. 3) Their website (Once I finally got a login) had no indication of status of item or that I was due money at all. So will it work who knows, and even if it works there's a 14 day waiting period to get your money. 4) Expect high fees. First there's a drop off or pick up fee ($25 or $200++). Then once your item sells, (Who know what price they will set for you but expect low!) they will take a commission fee which as far as I can tell is 50% of the sale price. I did have a conversation with their customer service person about all these issue and they were good, but at that point my item was already gone for a fraction of what it was worth. Overall, These guys were a complete failure. No correspondence (until I put effort into reaching out to them), Absolutely completely off based price (I got 10% of what the item was worth), and expect to pay a high fee (both on pick up and on commission). I hope whoever bought my item is enjoying it, you got the best deal I've ever heard of and I got ripped off. read more

I really liked this service. They were able to preview my items in advance (via photos I sent them as email attachments) and let me know which items were salable, which would be donated, and which would have to be discarded. The latter category entails a landfill fee, which I wanted to avoid, so I was able to remove them from the list and find homes for them. The remaining items cost me a couple of hundred dollars to remove, but I'll hopefully defray part of these costs through the salable items. I had checked out the free services, like Salvation Army, but their pickups were booked solid for at least 45 days, and I needed to empty my condo within a week. Got Junk was available, but only to send things to a landfill, and there was some expensive furniture involved, so I was reluctant to do that. Remoov came within a couple of days of my call. At this point, I can't vouch for the sales aspect of their service, since my items have been with them for only a week, but the rest of the service went smoothly. In fact, the crew called and said they could come earlier than planned (which worked out so much better for me) and even helped me carry some discard items to the curbside (for pickup by my trash company) at no expense to me. I would definitely use them again. read more

Because they have a reasonable return policy, we also felt safe making the purchase online. We made the purchase early Monday morning. Within a few hours, they had contacted us offering to deliver that afternoon. Yeah! Who wants to wait? They arrived on schedule. They use a cool tool that allows you to easily track their progress towards your house. Anyway, the furniture was even better than expected. It was a good price. Remoov rescued us from total chaos and disorganization. We recently moved my mother-in-law, a serious hoarder, from her condo into an assisted-living facility. Although the condo was small, the amount of junk packed into it was staggering. The place was filthy, smelled awful, and the cabinets, closets, and floorspace were crammed with random everything and anything. Hairspray in the kitchen cabinets, anyone? We had already cleared out a ton of junk, and there was another ton still there. We were too overwhelmed, physically and emotionally, to do the rest of it by ourselves. Remoov came to the rescue! I was moving out of the Bay Area and didn't want to spend my last few weeks trying to find willing buyers for all the stuff I'd accumulated over the past couple years from small appliances to bicycles to textbooks. Actually giving them 2.5 stars. Had 1/2 moving truck of stuff; movers were good, but I spent a tremendous amount of time photographing and cataloging everthing with descriptions which they apparently didn't even bother to lookat which would have helped them figure out best way to sell my items. But Luis was very prompt (via e/mail) when I had questions regarding these many items which I consigned to them. but I don't think 100% forthcoming. It has taken OVER TWP UEARS to get everything "disposed" of. I own my own business so would have difficulty trying to research how to sell my items - mostly interesting vintage/classic/antique/domestic and international goods and current and vintage art work of various mediums. I chose Remoov because they had some good reviews back then & talked up their talents. But overall I am disappointed: wonderful items which were DONATED, a perfectly good PRINT by a known artist which was "RECYCLED" (means trashed?), two other excellent prints "DONATED" or sold for $1 by another california artist who is now deceased. Basically, these guys do NOT know how to handle or where to market certain items. One item in particular did not sell for 2+ years and sadly, while worth substantial $ sold for way way less. Boy, did that make me sad - not such much the $ for me, but the intrinsic value of a fully and beautifully restored item. Also, a number of "little things" were given to various "vintage"/funky shops to sell - I have a suspiction that these shops may have sold my items but not bothered to tell Remoov about the sale, hence the large amount of 'DONATED' items, not all of which I've received tax donations documents for. Remoov's description (as stated here in Yelp) is "Used, Vintage & Consignment, Furniture Stores, Antiques." To that I say 'BS !!! ' Stick with selling anything current - or mid-century junky furniture and housewares, because today's millennials don't give a s**t about ANYTHING older than five years - and expect to get about FIVE CENTS on the dollar after everone else after Remoov gets their cut. Sign me very very sad & disappointed. read more
