In their rush, they damaged one of my more valuable pieces of furniture, then started to get more progressively curt and rude, even trying to leave valuable items behind to get done and on to the next thing. I rarely write reviews, but I feel it's important to share our experience with Remoov, especially given how far their service fell short of what they advertised. We paid a premium price of $1000 for a pick-up service, expecting a smooth and reliable process. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After the items were picked up, there was no follow-up from the company. We attempted to contact them multiple times, and while they initially responded, they had no idea where our items were. They told us they needed time to track them down, but after weeks of waiting, we were informed that everything had been recycled. This included a full drum set and two bicycles, one of which was a mountain bike, both of which clearly should not have been recycled. What was most frustrating was that all of their advertisement on their website were completely untrue. We were supposed to be informed about which items were donated, sold, or recycled, but we never received any details. There was no transparency or follow-up on where our belongings went. If I had known they would recycle everything without transparency or integrity, I would have simply gifted the items to people who could use them and had Got Junk remove the questionable stuff for a fraction of the price. The reason I went with Remoov was for the service they promised. When we pressed for more details, there was no clarity or accountability. They simply reiterated that everything was recycled, with no explanation or effort to resolve the situation. If you're willing to spend a significant amount of money and are okay with having no insight into where your belongings end up, then Remoov might be the company for you. However, if you're looking for reliability, transparency, and professionalism, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Overall, a very frustrating experience with a lack of responsibility or honesty from the company. read more

Remoov charged me $125 (plus tip) to pick up my Wayfair Covertible Couch, $1200 new, 2 years old, perfect condition, to sell on consignment. I figured it would sell for $500 or more and I'd get back $250 at least. Instead they said they sold it for $75 at auction (not consignment) and my proceeds were $37.50. My wife used Remoov a few months ago and so did one of my friends for a move out. This is sort of a combo/general review highlighting some pros and cons from all of those experiences. In summary Remoov is ok, not great, but worth checking out for certain things. It's basically the startup version of Junk King or 1-800-GOT-JUNK. That can be good and bad. Pros: they're quick to respond, their website is decent (better than the competition) but still needs a lot of work and is buggy/messy, and they have a somewhat unique offering in that they can try to sell items for you and not just junk it all like their competition would. They also take the hassle out of haggling and selling with randos, which I like. Their pricing is pretty competitive, but can go up a lot at their discretion when they actually do the pickup + they ask for tip unexpectedly after the pick up so what you see in their initial quote is not what you end up paying. Cons: I wholeheartedly agree with most of the recent negative reviews on here so go take a look at those. In addition to those: 1) Their reselling option is good in theory but messy in practice. If you want to sell your things for top dollar just use OfferUp or Facebook Marketplace and skip Remoov. If you want the convenience of having someone pick it up and sell it for you, Remoov is worth considering. Remoov works by giving you a quote based on a SINGLE PICTURE (their buggy website won't let you submit more than one) and then they give you a quote and come pick it up. They will not even attempt to sell something if it looks slightly used, but that's obviously very difficult for them to tell from one photo, so when they get to your house be prepared for them to say "oopsie no we can't" and then you're left with a difficult decision of whether to send them home or just junk it (for an ADDITIONAL fee). That all means that you're probably: (a) going to spend more than they quoted you and (b) not be able to sell as much as you thought you would when they gave you the quote unless you're only giving them stuff that is basically brand new. 2) For the actual resale portion, they fairly openly publicize that they list items at the highest price and then steadily decrease the price until it sells. That means savvy buyers can just wait until an item gets heavily discounted to pounce on it. So if your kitchen table is "quoted" at $1,000, you might only sell it for $300, in which case you only get 50% of that ie $150. Not so great, but better than nothing. Of course your results may vary there. 3) As others have noted, they ask for a tip. OBVIOUSLY it's optional, but we all know how that works. It's a pressure tactic to offload employee wages to customers instead of just paying them market rate base salary and not asking for tips. Their guys are hard workers and deserve to be paid well, but asking for a 15-20% tip on top of a several hundred dollar pickup is annoying af. I also see that the CEO likes to leave passive aggressive responses to everyone here, so I'm trying to be as fair and balanced as I possibly can. I'm sure we will hear what he thinks about my post shortly. Most of my complaints are pretty easily solvable so I think I'd use them again if they make some improvements. I'll definitely use them again if I need to sell a piece of furniture or something very large and in excellent condition that I need to get rid of but can't sell/transport easily. In most other cases, I'll probably just junk my stuff using a dedicated junker or try my hand at hawking it on FB marketplace in the future. read more

We highly recommend removoo for moving your house hold items. The website is user friendly which makes it easy to navigate their process. It was incredibly easy to download your pictures. Our quote came in hours after we downloaded our pictures. There is also the option to add more items, which was helpful. We received our quote on Sunday and we were able to book the move that Wednesday. The day of the move they were at our house at the time they told us. Beware... engagement ring missing after service. I hired Remoov based on their great reviews to remove some furniture as I was moving out of my apartment in San Francisco. The service itself went okay, they asked if they could come earlier than I was expecting them so I was in a bit of a rush to get the items ready, and that morning, I was also sick. Normally I remove all valuables before a service, but in the chaos, I didn't put on my engagement ring that morning, which ended up being a HUGE mistake. I know exactly where the ring was, in a dish in the upstairs bathroom (an area where the workers were not supposed to go into), but they were disassembling and removing a bed in the room next to it. After they left, I went back into the bathroom and the ring was gone, which sent me into a full-on panic attack and caused a massive amount of distress over the next few days as I tried to find it. I contacted Remoov several times, tried to get in contact with the workers directly, and was told that they had complete trust in the workers and there was no way they could have taken it. I would never make this claim lightly. But my objective conclusion -- which I spoke to the manager about multiple times -- is that the ring was taken. The workers told him that they did not enter either of my bathrooms, but in one of them, the toilet seat was up (I'm a woman who lives alone), and there was no one else in the apartment except me and them since the ring was last in the place I left it. The ring couldn't have fallen somewhere I couldn't see it, because I was moving out so there was no furniture anywhere else. Despite that I searched for 48 hours, had a professional with a metal detector go through every nook, had multiple family members come over to look, went through every trash bag that was in the apartment, moved every single item out of the apartment, and went to their warehouse to check the cracks of sofa. Nothing could have come out of the apartment that I did not see. That, plus the fact that one of them wasn't truthful about the bathroom, makes that the only possibility. Luis, the manager was sympathetic but declined to give a partial/full refund, said that I couldn't prove that they were in the bathroom (not addressing the fact that the toilet seat was up and I'm a woman who lives alone - other than "there might have been other people in the apartment") and simply reinforced that he trusted his workers. I understood his point of view, but don't think they did enough to investigate this based on what I told them, they just kept insisting that the workers were trustworthy, telling me about their backgrounds, and that they never had an incident reported. I had to file a police report, and no longer have one of the most meaningful possessions I owned. Writing this review in hopes this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more
