It's best to take the apple out of the refrigerator 8 hours before serving so that the caramel and chocolate are easily sliced. Once we forgot and then the chocolate was brittle and broke into pieces when we sliced it.Customer service is great. I wasn't able to get through on the phone line to order so I sent an email. This was 4 days before Christmas, and I didn't think anyone would actually get back to me, but someone called! I was able to get my order in and have this for Christmas. First off, the chocolate is absolutely delicious! Second, the owners are incredibly kind and accommodating. The entire family is so welcoming and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. We were lucky to have our class led by the owner himself, Michael Dunn, who made the session both informative and fun. Parking was conveniently located right in front of their Oakland location, and we were fortunate to have a smaller, more intimate class. Everything was well-organized--from the hairnets and aprons to the chocolates and dipping stations. They shared insights into the chocolate-making process, along with a bit of history and its significance, which added a cool educational aspect to the experience. This is such a fun activity, whether you're with family, on a date, or even solo. Honestly, it would also make for a fantastic work team-building event! And the best part? Taste testing! It has a simple layout, with five fro-yo machines, one size of cup, basic toppings and some tables inside. Price per Ounce: 80 cents They allow sampling. I took a serving of Irish Mint, Chocolate/ Vanilla, and Coconut. Added some Lychee Jelly and some Jelly Balls. It was good, but I miss the tart and fruity flavors like Pineapple, Mango and Passion fruit. Service was prompt and friendly. They also offer teas, milk tea, and Redbull Infusion. I was told that Coco Swirl is an independent store, and isn't part of a chain. I would definitely return if I'm in the area.

You can pre-order their pre-set Bake Box for $38 and/or purchase items a la carte the day off (first come, first served). There was one item (lychee meringue kisses) that were exclusive to the bake box. Pick up at Abacus Row was really easy- you check in at the Batik and Baker table in the back, and they pack your box fresh (they used gloves). It tasted more like coconut than pandan, but I liked that it wasn't too sweet; however, there was a bit too much salt used for my preference. -"Seri Muka" (Butterfly Pea Flower Sticky Rice, Fresh Pandan, Coconut Milk): The seri muka was also beautiful to look at, and again, the coconut milk flavor was the most prominent. I also loved the chewiness of the sticky rice, but this was also a little too salty for my preference. -Lychee Meringue Kisses: The kisses were included with bake box pre-orders only. I don't usually purchase meringue desserts, but I was happily surprised by how good these were! The kisses were airy and crispy, and the lychee flavor was perfect. The Batik and Baker menu rotates monthly, and I hope they bring back some of their previous items for a la carte orders. One large each of the S'mores, Twix and Biscoff. The cookies cost about $6 each and were packaged nicely. They survived the 30 minute drive home without any damage. We tried each in turn, and all agreed that the s'mores cookie was the best. Opinions were mixed about the other two (I didn't like either). May come back and buy a pack of the s'mores if I'm in the area.
