We specifically booked a luxury SUV to ensure enough space for our luggage. When we arrived right as the location opened, we were greeted by a customer service representative named Ana, who had actually just left us a message as we were walking in. Unfortunately, she informed us that the vehicle we reserved online was not available. While this clearly wasn't Ana's fault and appeared to be an issue with the company's online booking system, we were understandably stressed since our departure time was approaching and we needed a solution quickly. Ana immediately stepped in to help. She asked if a minivan would work for us and said she would do everything she could to find one, though she couldn't guarantee availability. We left the location to figure out a backup plan, and about 20 minutes later Ana called to let us know she had secured a minivan for us. She truly saved the day--and honestly saved the company from what would have been a very poor review due to the misleading online booking experience. Ana was proactive, kind, and solution-oriented, and she is absolutely an asset to this business. We are very grateful for her help.

He even told me how to bypass the annoying AI chat customer service if I needed to contact them on the Hertz phone number. This guy gets customer service and no issues whatsoever with this location. In and out in 10 min. You do have less selection and the cars are stored in a normal strip mall parking lot. I can't speak for coming here when it's the weekend or more packed. If you have your heart set on the car in your reservation, look elsewhere as the nature of these small locations is you basically just get what's available that day. Go to the airport location if you are very picky about your cars.

But my recent experience was very disappointing due to inconsistent information about Mexico travel insurance. I needed a rental to drive to Mexico for a funeral. At pickup, an associate informed me that Hertz no longer offers the insurance needed for travel to Mexico. I didn't argue--I understood the policy may have changed, and we made other arrangements. Then, about a week later, my friend wanted to travel to Rocky Point (Mexico) and reserved a vehicle at the same Hertz location. I told her what I was told the week prior, and she said she spoke to a live Hertz operator who assured her the coverage was still available. So she went to the Tempe location--only to get the same answer from the same associate as I did. My friend then escalated by calling customer care, and after that, they ultimately approved the rental with Mexican insurance coverage. I naturally became upset about the inconsistency--because when I needed the car for my funeral trip I was told it wasn't offered--I was met with attitude. The associate basically told me I should assume it wouldn't be available next time, even though it was provided to another customer just a week later. I'm leaving this review as feedback because customers deserve clear, consistent communication--especially when we're dealing with time-sensitive situations like travel for a funeral.

The first time I interacted with her, I had a lot of extra baggage, and without hesitation she helped carry it all the way to my rental car. The second time, I was dealing with an issue involving my travel agent and rental reservation, and once again, she went out of her way to help me get everything sorted out. Both times, she was nothing but smiles, positivity, and genuinely great customer service. It was Saturday late and most off site rental places were closed, but one. Avis @ Temple Honda was open to 6pm. Beverly was very accommodating and able to finish the transacting within minutes. She provided us with a Brand new Chevy Cruze with unlimited mileage. Upon my return, I asked her if I could get a ride back to my hotel which was about 6 miles away.
