Steering worn, out mirror on drivers side spinning and gas pedal broken. He tried to fix the mirror but broke it worse. Gas pedal could not be fixed He called budgets Fleet service and told them the steering was worn out and needed to be fixed. Fleet service refused and told him we were to take as is. Got to Calif. border and no brakes. no power and overheating. called at 2.30 pm. Serviceman showed at 6pm. Had to bleed the brakes three times and still no brakes master cylinder or booster pump out Had to blow out the air cleaner as it was plugged up tight. He said to take it to his shop. Turned on the lights. Only one high beam would work. and that quite as we got to the shop. Budget held us with out any help for two days. Then said we were 400 lb overweight. NO markings any where on the truck about weight or in the contract. We rented a U Haul and made it to Maricopa. Budget debited my bank account for ,all the repairs and cost us over 2000.00 plus the 800.00 for the U Haul. I will say the two ladies at the drop off were great./They could not get budget to do anything to make it right. The truck had not been inspected in over two years in violation of federal law. We could have been killed in this death trap. I don't know how 400 lb could do all this damage. We had taken out insurance but budget would not acknowledge the insurance. Cost $162.00. I'll pay the difference and go with U Haul from now on. Trying to find an attorney to sue to get my money back.

With that said, I only wish there was a HIGHER score I can give to Maricopa Auto. Every time you walk into the building you get greeted with a smile and feel welcomed. I've been a satisfied customer for over 5 years. It is so refreshing to find a company that truly believes in customer service. My crazy story: Short version of course: Worked for a company for over 10 yrs, Company sold and gave me 1 weeks' notice. Started working for a new job. Tore my rotator cuff, had complete shoulder replacement. I left that company due to illegal activity being done before I worked there. Had an accident and totaled my car. All was done within 5 months. I tell you this to help you understand the care Roman takes to help people get into a vehicle. Anyone else would have said: "No, can't help you". Not Roman! I walked in, picked out my car, he found me financing, and I drove away 1 hour later. My car has warrant coverage AND they do the mechanic work ON SITE! BUT WAIT, THERES MORE: I brought my car in for repair. Nick took the time to not only have my car fixed in 2 days but, he kept the price down by searching for the part at a better price. I know this review seems a bit lengthy, I feel, it is worth my time to let you know about a staff that cares about their customers and about their city. The first time I contacted them I was to check how much a ride for my friend and I would be from Maricopa, AZ to Sky Harbor Airport. They quoted me $75 per person ($150 one way for both). My friend called them next to see what they would quote and they told her $65 per person ($130 for both). The person I spoke to also said that they would charge me more depending on where I live in Maricopa (my sub-division was an extra cost). We asked how much it would be to pick up a friend in Ahwatukee off Ray Rd and they said it would be an extra charge, but they couldn't tell me how much it would be yet. My whole point in this review is that they are very inconsistent with pricing and need to really be more upfront about costs. If I give a transportation company EXACT addresses of point A, B, and C, they should be able to provide a rough estimate on cost. Aside from this issue, their vehicles are very worn and dated. Every vehicle I see on the road looks dirty, not presentable, and based on the driving I have witnessed on the 347, I-10, and in Maricopa I would assume the drive is similar to that of a roller coaster. I can admit to driving very fast. The highway 347 is a 65mph highway. On certain days I find myself running over the speed limit and then Maricopa Shuttles are passing me, going in and out of traffic, riding other drivers rear-ends, and slamming on their brakes when traffic slows down. Based on my experience with them over the phone and just seeing them drive, I would not recommend using them. I was able to just park at the airport for $44 for all four days I parked there. And thankfully I can say that my friends and family in Maricopa have also had these similar issues with them.

They are the same guys there all the time, they know you, they know your car, what they did last time and when something isn't wrong they don't "fix" it. If something is not in their lane repair wise they will tell you, they won't try to "wing" it. They've done big repairs for me and small ones, oil changes and inspections. All are done with the same attention to detail as you would expect if it were their own car. I trust them.

When I dropped off my vehicle the odometer read 68,900 miles; on pickup the reading was 68,914 miles. The only reason for these 14 miles can be: they used my car to go to the parts house for other cars. We just took our granddaughter's Honda Odyssey to Big O, her car took the same synthetic oil as my vehicle, they charged us $62.00 My only hope when dropping off your car make sure they know your mileage and never authorize work without knowing pricing.
